New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi addresses the media during his locker room interview at Gillette Stadium on November 6, 2007. Q: With the type of roll that you're on, do you even want a bye week? Bruschi: No, you still want the bye week. You can't control when the bye week is. Is it nice to have it around the middle of the season? Yeah, it is. I mean, we've put in a lot of weeks in a row now after nine games and training camp in the work that we've put in so to have a break at this point, I think it's well timed. Q: What do you think about all these stories of noise being pumped into the RCA Dome ? Bruschi: You know what, they said they conducted a little investigation and that's… it's pretty loud in that place. I'll say that. Q: Those doubters or the people who have questioned your credibility as a team or as an organization, does that sting? Is that fuel, or has it ever been fuel for you? Bruschi: Well, when someone questions your integrity, when someone questions who you are and and someone questions the organization that you've been a part of since you walked into the league so yes, it does upset me. I can only control, like I said, what I do out there and what we do as a defense on the field and what we do as a team and we keep winning and playing hard. If they want to keep saying those things, maybe we just need to play a little bit harder. Q: What does it mean to be leading this team in tackles through three games? Do you take that as a mark of high performance? Bruschi: No, it's a number. I measure myself on how many victories we have. Of course, you think I'm going to say that, right? Of course. (Laughs) But I do, really. We're doing well and I feel like I'm ...
