Play from 0:00[0:00]" Let's go let's -- know how about another at all. This is patriots playbook -- man coverage. How patriots playbook. Breaking down last Sunday's game yeah and handed him because it. Next Sunday's game want to go on 83 point that if one player and the rest of the 2000 have a an NFL season. And some of the fun stuff in between even and you want him."

Play from 0:33[0:33]" Yeah me -- news."

Play from 0:42[0:42]" Once again -- patriots playbook it used Thursday it is. Patriots dot com radio as always John rookie would you as we count down to. Yes Cincinnati -- coming on Monday night I have to admit it is becoming little bit more. Increasingly obvious that we're still important to -- from day I'm not so sure that's a good thing I can't wait for one dating are already so we can kind of you know this thing in the we're spending an inordinate amount of time talking about Cincinnati and maybe it's partially. Yeah maybe it's partially. The other -- a good idea that was -- little music here because this will give us you know part of object I think for a what's coming up on on Monday night. Maybe it is for the week you'll. -- we had some issues during yesterday's programming -- things and just out now complacency I think this program went through. And I think you do. I'm talking to you listen in on the other side you computer and already you yes you right there. My -- and complacency issue yesterday and I realize that yesterday program might not have been conducive to complete and total shall we say audience participation. Because we did hasn't just dynamite interviews yesterday in the program producers -- myself maybe not so much the interview being here. As it was the interview -- that is subject matter on the program with them Ron Jaworski was fabulous yesterday. And if you -- just logging in today and -- listening to prohibiting and you missed yesterday's program I would urge you to. Download the podcast just because he was he was really good and hopefully you know we'll have a chance to talk to him again before. The season is out that's what I love about doing this program in its first since he's. I can tell by yeah. Download the podcast now thanks I appreciate that I would totally concur download the podcast seeking -- that Ando els had a chance to visit with Jim hobson from my Bengals dot com to get a little bit of an insight from mom. Cincinnati point of view at this at this time in frankly speaking they're a little bit of hurt right now one into -- we -- some time with a yesterday. But the POW guys have been complaining -- for a day or two that you know way nobody's end this. Everybody's just kind of like it only in back and I think -- get a little fat and sassy. And so I think this is the exact thing that you don't want your football team to do. You don't want to bubble team to get into this kind of a condition -- you don't want the team to be complacent you want this team to have it a mindset of taken it one week at a time. And -- preparing and putting blinders on trying not to look too far ahead and so my guess is here is that if you want to ask the team. To do that and that's what you want this team to do then you. As a fan and you as an observer and you is an interest in listener an interested party to this program in the New England Patriots -- the same way. So I would ask you to you know contribute I would ask you to. -- focus I would ask you to consider all of your options before just deciding. Two and those blow off the singles and let's move on in the next week. I don't really think that's what the patriots have in mind of course the next week will be Cleveland and then course we get to that the Dallas Cowboys so. We'll try not to look too far ahead even though that is our want to that is our desire at some point. And we do spend some time doing that because we can yeah. And they don't down the hallway but at any rate I just wanted to bring that out. I'm also going to bring -- just couple moments some superlatives that you may or may not be aware of with this football team that I think probably are causing this false sense of security. That I -- I'm kind of feeling about this team -- that I'm kind of feeling about defend them around this team and see if we can't shoot a hole or two in some of this I'm not doing this just via and they say era. You know -- mean just to be contrarian but what I'm doing is to try to present you know is evenly. Cited a packages I can't what you consider that you know. Even at one into an even though they apparently don't have a defense right now that let's just say is doing very well. That Cincinnati's eminently capable of one in this football game next Monday night. I -- for all -- there's the great numbers that the patriots have -- thus far. Well they're number one in the NFL -- three weeks in total offense break and a little bit further the patriots are number three in passing offense the number four. In rushing offense so for those -- that have questioned the the the I guess the so Murton not a good word for it I guess the soundness of the running game over the last couple of days. They are fourth in the league in rushing offense. Fourth a 151 point seven yards per game. Third in passing dolphins to 893 which makes the number one overall in total offense at 441 per game. The number two in points per game at 38 points per game just behind the Dallas Cowboys by half but it."

Play from 5:54[5:54]" Now conversely. Cincinnati is pretty good offense is well they're number five overall in total offense in the NFL 393 yards for humans what they're averaging. They're number two in passing offense Carson Palmer's averaging 301 yards per game -- And obviously the -- to the top receivers receptions wise in T. J. Houshmandzadeh who is split 29 catches lead in the league right now. And of course Chad Johnson is 25 catches but Ted leads the league in receiving yards. So yes when you say that the patriots secondary will get a test -- sure they will. But I would also argue the patriot front seven also get a test. In in of the patriot front seven. Can more than match up -- their into the bargain here than the patriots secondary should be able to do you know some good against those two top receivers. John mentioned yesterday that honestly the reason you know that Cincinnati one of the reason maybe that the just not literally out scoring people is because they really missed Chris Henry as -- third option. And Henry won't be able to come back until after the eighth week of the season because of his suspension. For happier. So you know that is an expected that won't yet entry into the equation. And for the bagels they have -- couple things one that they can stay afloat. Until a guy like Henri can come back and integrate himself in the off into two until we can get. You know some folks a healthy and sound defensively we spent some time talking about that would -- from -- dot com yesterday but offensively there's no doubt instill -- puts up just dynamite numbers. Mention to him passing offense fifth in total opens their fourth -- tied for fourth in points per game are averaging 31 points per game. Well they're only averaging 92 yards a game rushing which puts them 20 in the NFL. And Rudi Johnson may not play on Monday night still some time ago even lose is Thursday it's where these teams compared D offensively though that you find the biggest disparity by the numbers. Again the patriots numbers are definitively solid their strong. Patriots as I'm sure you were undoubtedly aware and you've been bragging undoubtedly already to your fellow. You know fantasy football leaguers and in NFL fans and wherever you may be. Not only the -- number one -- relevance they're number one in the NFL in total defense right now given up just 200 in seven yards per game. They're number two in the NFL overall in passing defects giving up only a 133 yards per game. They're number five in the NFL in rush defense giving up only 74 yards -- game on the ground. And their third in the league in points allowed -- 11 point seven is total. So strong defensive numbers without Richard Seymour and without Rodney Harrison in that lineup and and only votes to get better you know we talk we spent some time as we talk about red zone deficiencies for the pats. Opponents of going inside their 20 yard line five times. And they've scored five touchdowns. Now five times inside the red zone once again. Is the second fewest in the entire league behind Pittsburgh Pittsburgh we -- their opponents three trips inside the red zone. But Pittsburgh is only -- one touchdown. Patriots even a ball five touchdowns every time opponents cracked the 20 yard line so that is obviously a point of concern we've spent some time this week talk about that in. And you know while we're nitpicking over things that are in pretty good shape overall that is certainly an area that you can legitimately nitpick on. But the bagels. Or really struggling on the -- that it may be the understatement of the entire day today. Overall Cincinnati's defense has given up almost 400 in three yards per game total offense that is 20 ninth of 32. In the league. Points allowed. But given up 31 point seven almost 32 points per game that is also 20 ninth out of 32 teams in the league. Rusch Stevenson past events are both 27 in the league to given up a 145 yards on the ground and 257 through the year. He gets -- that there are some deficiencies the other thing is is that you know well. This dude dude if you find one that I guess maybe silver lining in an otherwise dark cloud of angles defensively they're only allowing 36% conversion rate. On third down which is not far off with the patriots are lines 36 point eight the pats -- given up 36 point four on third down. So if you're under 40%. In third down conversions defensively you're actually doing a pretty decent job. They're given up a lot of big plays patriots often seems to be geared toward big plays thus far this year. If so fact though you can see where there might be a bit of a mismatch. But the oddsmakers don't quite look at it like that because the odds before I looked this morning the last spread that I saw the patriots a seven point. Favorite for money in right now that may or may not be about right would you but I think anytime a team is a touchdown favorites on the road that is significant. When you consider their home field advantage is worth anywhere from three to six points. It usually worth at least three maybe get a dominating team again home field management worth up to six points -- believe in the NFL. So you're looking at if if the patriots head of angles here even -- that high powered offense that they have. If the patriots -- turn this around a plane was at home they can be almost to two touchdown favorite against this team based on the odds. I don't like that that makes me a little bit uncomfortable. I have to admit there's so many things can happen when you're on the road and I tried to talk a little about this yesterday. And I didn't really get a chance to jump into much would that would -- but fact remains is that you know I I know that there is complacency out there because ironically last October 1 exactly one year to the day the patriots played it then and riverfront and beat the Bengals 38 to 13. And so because of that and you think -- on this is a better team this year in Cincinnati probably does have the defense they -- that they had last year you know they're gonna smash of I certainly see we could draw that conclusion but is a different year it's a different day it's a different game. Different set of circumstances. And sometimes when a team has its back against the wall and I think the angles. You'd have to -- have the back against the while they're already behind you know a couple of games in the standings now. And they don't really want to fault too much further behind at lest they be you know and given up for dead and gone. You know just a few weeks into the season and this is a team that was expected to. Both externally and internally expected to contend strongly for a playoff spot in the AFC. So then that their backs to the wall on Monday. And you know it kind of brings up the old adage go to you know what happens when you know you've you you've corner wounded animal well they usually come out scratch and claw and fight and and I certainly expect nothing but a great game from Cincinnati on Monday night and -- quite frankly you should not be surprised if that happens that way either. Is trying to enter a little known logic into the equation here. Since we seemed to be somewhat over inflated with our own self worth in the patriots nation. Give you a few more things that you can kind of you know feed the hopper with today. Yeah you probably realize that overall patriots have a pretty good run of success against teams from the AFC north. Division special Tom Brady but Tom Brady is ten and one in his career against AFC north things he's never lost -- Cincinnati's two I was four and one against Pitt -- three you know against Cleveland and space Baltimore wants to beat them. Carson Palmer all into conversely against the patriots in his career thus -- The patriots in -- against the AFC north this is the first of what I gonna play all four teams this year in that division. And if you're looking for good -- I suppose here's one for the patriots last time they played all four teams from the AFC north. That was back in 2004 they -- foreign one against the division including that win over Pittsburgh in the AFC championship game. Overall since 2001 including the playoff patriots are ten and two against teams from the AFC north. And they won the last six in a row against north teams dating back to 2004. So they've had some pretty good success against teams in this division I a wide turns out to be that way maybe it's just because as the Knicks team on the on the on the schedule what you know they've had a lot of success against a lot of teams from a lot of divisions but particularly against the AFC north. Who knows why it matches up like that. Bomb that is obviously a good -- that's probably has something to do with the fact that there seven point favorite. I'm sure that the defensive numbers disparity has a lot to do what the patriots all sore seven point favorite on Monday night. No doubt in my mind anyway. But I think we'll realize that you know seven points mean that may seem. -- like a lot of may seem like a little you know based on you -- estimation of the relative strengths of these two teams but to be honest would you 87 points is. A drive it is a core it's it's apply. It really is the difference of one play in a football game. One score is one play. If you make the play. You win you don't make the play and then the game is even and it's anybody's game. That's really all you're looking and that's the seven point is sort of a little bit of a misleading statistic especially when you're on the road it's really one. Play and so in that regard it means the bagels it to my estimation of one play away from being right there with the patriots. And I think that somebody have to kind of keep in mind as we kind of going to this thing on Monday night to be honest with the series between these two teams it's not deep series. Well this will be the 21 time that the patriots in the Bengals have ever met the series goes back to 1960 eights. When they first met. It's -- second straight year in which they've played in the regular season third time in fact in the last four years they played in the regular season. -- you might remember the last time that Tom Brady did not start. A football game for the patriots and quarterback. Do you. He remembered that would have been 2001 season's opener 23 to 17 was the Cincinnati win on the road. I said riverfront it Paul Brown stadium now silly me bomb. But yeah that was obviously that was the week before the -- Louis knocking Drew Bledsoe Tom Brady came to take over he's never looked back since. But that was the last last time the Brady did not start a football game of the patriots in that would have been in the season opening win the Bengals in 2001. So just to have. You know there is a little bit over at least a recent relationship between these two teams overall the patriots are 12 an eight and 112 of the previous 20 meetings. Over Cincinnati in Cincinnati they are five and 65 and six they were three and five and riverfront -- one and one and Paul Brown stadium where they'll be playing on Monday night. Actually played one game -- stadium which is where the University of Cincinnati please let me know that so they -- something nudity as well I also mentioned superlatives. And the fact is is that you know while we're talking about the teen numbers some of these. Other numbers also kind of reflect where this team is in. Help sort of magnified I guess the the dominance of they've shown over three weeks and you know I'm going back and forth try to present is balanced picture is -- here in in May be admonishing you know us for you know thinking too much ahead and getting too complacent but the same time the numbers certainly. Kind of bear that out. Since the beginning of 2001 patriots have allowed just over 17 points per game and that second in the NFL over that span. It actually allowed 17 points for him or fewer in four of the six seasons since 2001. The only team that is actually allowed fewer points. Per game since -- his believe or not it's Tampa Bay in their only about a fifth of a point ahead of the patriots. Patrons -- right there ahead of Baltimore Pittsburgh and even Philly who had pretty good defenses over that time. So I just you know. Trying to slow down Cincinnati's offense you see the patriots have been able to do with certain with a with a certain amount of consistency. And I think the fact that the patriots are off to a fast start over schedule. That right now is ranked as third toughest in the NFL based on winning percentage total from last year. That's also a reason that you don't even think we've given them in in people around the league given them a lot of credit. At this stage of the game simply because you know home pay there's a tough road to hold the patriots are off to a good start in the 16 team on the schedule were playoff teams a year ago. The plan the teams that were seated. In each of the top three spots in last year's AFC playoffs you know obviously San Diego and Indianapolis and then later Baltimore. Ten of the 16 teams on this on this schedule -- were 500 or better. Last year one of those of course being Cincinnati with a singles were being they were eight made a year ago. And the fact is that the patriots. Tied the best road record in team history last year when they went seven and one. Away from Gillette stadium and yes that's where they'll be on Monday night away from Angeles state. So yeah have a little on this idea have a little on that side we're telling you the patriots have some of these numbers going in their favor and certainly it's a great start of the season and yet. Don't get to overcome it because you're really only one play away from being dead even with his -- football team. We're going to dive into the since -- a little bit more and give you a chance to get how they look at this match up and get their thoughts. I'm going into a matchup with a -- the patriots -- get into the conference call with the Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis coming up on John rookie and you are listening to Thursday's edition of patriots playbook."

Play from 21:10[21:10]" Offensive -- Gillette stadium your -- All right you know. I would patriots scoring -- and try to -- into sausages with some friends of wide variety of --"

Play from 23:04[23:04]" All rights reserved hey this'll play Georgia then let me tell you about the first ever game with the greats and near water -- former football players talk about when we're watching the game whenever you can find out for yourself at first ever. But to my teammates and other treasure one that guy like Andre tidbit Steve mills Steve -- and -- will be there with you enjoy the game in just hanging out. Tickets are limited because there -- only 25 dollars. Page --"

Play from 23:44[23:44]" Grades where we. -- the back inside patriots playbook as we roll along for a Thursday I'm John rock and now it's time to -- Given a little bit more detail about the Cincinnati Bengals in the casket and -- this money not against the patriots you know as we kind of alluded to a short while ago. Fact is is that this football team really offensively is one of the elite in the league the number certainly bear that over -- out over the course the first at least well. Three weeks of the season. But all the problems on this team seemed to stem from the deep fences out of the football that's for a guy like Marvin Lewis. At least in theory you'd think you would have this area of expertise. Do we get the kind of a shoot out that a lot of people are expecting you know when you have quarterbacks like Tom Brady in Carson Palmer going at each other. -- it -- the Bengals put together a complete game for the first time this year and get their deepest to sort of -- itself together and see if they can't slow the patriots down if not stop them all together TV's the questions of course that there will undoubtedly be answered on Monday night but we also thought that those who you little insight as to what the Bengals might be thinking how Cincinnati looks at preparing. For the patriots and so well it's a what you listen and -- patriots media conference call with Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis. Good."

Play from 25:25[25:25]" Coach Chad was talking about Howell and the team needs to get it swagger back and how good performance Monday night would it would you agree with Chad that the team needs to go a little bit more it's. Confidence back"

Play from 25:39[25:39]" well I mean I think he gained confidence by people as successful so I mean I think that goes head to -- And you know. He is is that as well as anyone -- that he's ever lose his swagger but. That the more you do things successfully that more confident yard and things that. Afford the good things happen."

Play from 26:02[26:02]" Which is consistency at the -- some your problems."

Play from 26:07[26:07]" Well I think that's the key words afterward opinions that's important whether it be offense defense special. I think -- basis we we need to be more consistent. And that we we do think it is spectacular these things less spectacular. So you know be consistent that I've got some guys who performed in the past at a very high level and right now they're trying too hard they try to be just perfection of every player there in there -- called buffalo short to put too much pressure on themselves just over the plate where they've always done it."

Play from 26:45[26:45]" My -- even rotating offensive lineman which is not usual. Yeah that's what what's the reason behind that and how do you think that's worked out so car."

Play from 26:53[26:53]" Well I don't think we've -- anybody really we Willy Anderson the only guy who has. Who has been stories of playing on the -- construe they had it -- been splitting it but that's really what it will take anybody think that's an injury. And so we kind of keep the next guy -- once we -- Levi Jones back -- last week two. In order to work him back into the story unfortunately to replace the guy besides its third. Drew goes -- regarded as in no way ago -- been injured. And well I think is -- issues of war. That you get two guys only go get past that all of their -- it's level that obviously you'd gain that experience the guy get thrown right into the fire you know what was it previously so as we get help here this will be a benefit to right now we're just trying to keep working at it and make sure by these on the same page."

Play from 27:58[27:58]" Marvin do you think -- defense it's a bit of a better -- much of this season it was possible change a couple of drives that started. Your own territory."

Play from 28:07[28:07]" Well we've had some unfortunate plays in all three areas of you know you're you're you're payment defined by we're -- it took in the football. And I'd have to -- it. And so we've had some suppose it would have to keep work -- sore hamstring but we'll see you later in the week."

Play from 28:30[28:30]" How does -- tell us Thomas yeah. How does -- presents -- patriots because there"

Play from 28:36[28:36]" I mean I think he's I don't know if -- these changes that the woody doesn't yet another tremendous player that -- more importantly a professional. -- real probe -- from the young player on always studied the game -- and basically -- for that rookie I ever had. And so he he's always been -- a little bit ahead of -- he really understand it. Take it very seriously every opportunity every morsel that he's ever been given -- taken advantage of it."

Play from 29:06[29:06]" That interception return against the chargers are indicative of what."

Play from 29:10[29:10]" Well it's absolutely any kind of practice because their -- so you know I think they'd be -- and they're going out there on the -- it surprised me. -- we drafted."

Play from 29:24[29:24]" Coach does he got some great weapons an -- it's very quickly. But now the hatred well Randy and Wes Welker is the running game he's going to be important to try to control the clock."

Play from 29:34[29:34]" All of a little question I think. They the you know the patriots running game I think it's somewhat overshadowed audience running backs or tremendous all three players really two I think just tremendous job and other great runners really you know going to cut it to bowed out -- and make a big play -- so -- very you know impressed though last year we got to play it as a rookie so. They've got to qualify I think is that these two I think in the together. And going out and got weapons keep you to expect in the running. I was running game -- well it's important that we have to get. You know we have to begin to do things that we do better and and execute better -- it's very important thing we had in the first part of the game last week we had some. But I you know -- your -- for your game at my church plays we've got to prevent those blow by the church. Yeah well he's you know he's playing like -- level he was planted in the go to you know get an opportunity get the ball a lot of confidence in him to bring the ball is way up to make those -- well you've got to do a great job be on the disciplined and ignited what your line it up on the field defensively you want a big tree though Marbury --"

Play from 31:15[31:15]" Marvin and I hear on the competition committee -- he's -- that went on up here is that Emeka stronger case you guys finally pushed through the defensive coach to player communication."

Play from 31:24[31:24]" Well I think there'll be an adjusting the academic after the season that -- the commissioner will definitely push harder for you know I think that's something that I think he'll pushed -- but I can you know he would have been in here there are some it's not a 100% this system that was proposed. And I think need to be that little bit of revision what was proposed and maybe everybody you know it would --"

Play from 31:58[31:58]" Do you have any concern and correct me if I'm wrong here from my understanding is -- members of the competition committee did not actually seen the tapes that. That the NFL seasons he's from the patriots -- that make it harder to have. Kind of come up with the rules changes to prevent that from happening again."

Play from 32:12[32:12]" Well I mean I think the rules -- employee and and that's been -- that it's simply part of European on the committee but we have in the sure people that but secondly. You know I just think you know it's it's something that occurred and everybody wants supported the book behind the the patriots coach their it's over -- having an outstanding football coach. And that's unfortunate this guy you know you know I can't tell you how to type it in the NFL you look you look. Forward to -- with a coach -- second chance -- it I learned a great deal and you know you know so it's unfortunate this is overshadowing that -- great job obviously he's done in the organization that your hero. I don't know yet about Johnson -- and the other guys running so well we really -- mean we really are made a big push you know prior to this season and doing that. Berkeley -- signed Kenny because if so Kenny give guys that we know we can count on many different areas you know. As we -- with two back there on the team you know we really true Olympic Kenny what we do. Probably -- in other Europeans being the pain -- aspect this weekend that we look confident that things he can do it do different styles will be -- flashing blue jays go. You know what what the play out week."

Play from 33:46[33:46]" I'm convinced that little linebacker one. -- must come back."

Play from 33:52[33:52]" Well he he's the opportunity to you know he got that little bit earlier practice today it oh kind of sitting down with. What city you know we still have some time before Monday night you know be hopeful we can get him back for him."

Play from 34:09[34:09]" all these. Injuries linebacker you know where we editor --"

Play from 34:17[34:17]" that you were you referring -- well well look up there was never -- and Peter -- that you know absolutely matter he was not a person that was ever anything here of the at least from the coaching -- can say they're under percent but we've had some injuries it would have overcome that's what you have to do that -- some a couple of veteran players Lamar Marshall and I Biggio who kind of commit it to grow it's been helpful. You know we'll see how we go to this week if we can be able to get some of the guys have both improved rated player of the week. It well you don't want to or combination you know the patriots -- preacher."

Play from 35:08[35:08]" Right and I speak it go."

Play from 35:15[35:15]" Offensive -- Gillette stadium. All right home. Patriots gridiron -- second sausages or stumbling to the."

Play from 35:33[35:33]" Others appeared. We value drillers are all you need to -- perfectly okay. -- barbecue checked out all the patriots gridiron."

Play from 35:43[35:43]" The jets patriots -- Patriot -- it's a very smart shots."

Play from 36:56[36:56]" Thursday I'm John brought -- we are. Very very happy as always. -- joined by the FN FL Richards scored for ESPN. Russell Baxter Russell did they tell you how are you today I'm going to China Canada and doing well doing well now. I understand just just as an aside because I know that you know you're into this whole new fathered an issue for those that might not have been tuned in the last few Thursday that Russell. Is a part of our program here and we talk a little on and off about them -- Fact that the Russell is a proud father brand new baby girl that I understand this all of them seemed to go very very well for you went home so I that your -- if things -- sort of talk to a good start."

Play from 37:31[37:31]" Yes it is you know what to do the things I can do you know like to tell people they may -- about like it looks like my wife and she eats like make. And anybody in those people know exactly what that means that but it's it's it's good it's been it's been a great experience and I'm very excited this weekend because. We're going to it to -- like my daughter Helen. And even more excitement -- the priest in our. Local parish ran -- into Saturday christening because I -- have to watch football on Sunday it's -- alone is any debt so you know I I talked to the priest and he said I understand so we're going to. Have a charity Christian and so he keeps money for lack of better word Gehrig or Ripken like streak. Around courteous Keyon on some days of football season -- the last comment was not in this building on Monday -- football season was week 16. At 1990."

Play from 38:24[38:24]" Wow so while -- what is security like -- when their right mind would call in sick when you have to watch football nobody nobody obsolete and by the -- get that's just an unbelievable job by you he -- special then dispensation from the church. To not do a Sunday Chris thinks he could watch football I mean that's unbelievable."

Play from 38:44[38:44]" You know I I'm guessing that that father will be looking forward you know he knows I do numbers I'm sure he'll be looking for its own numbers comments page in that regard as well yeah. Some some of the meal offering plate right. I do what you gotta do you know birthday it's all about getting by the the next day that's exactly right."

Play from 39:03[39:03]" And it's obviously pay about this for a little low moving right along. It's obviously with the patriots have to do in trying to take your business at Cincinnati on Monday night in. Another -- you guys get the patriots this money on the ESP intellicast so must make at least those who William pushed the pencils and look at ratings a little bit happier."

Play from 39:21[39:21]" All safe to say and you know I'm sure there's one number there are already looking ahead there's no truth to the rumor that the people who were running the scoreboards or telecast a hurry put the number 30 beat him. -- New England -- and then just see what happens with Cincinnati so an amazing start by the patriots. It affected they just seem locked in on that number 38 it's great number -- be locked on -- that are being locked in on ten. Yeah yeah. Yeah it would mean -- they were a bit and their performances of the -- here -- is simply remarkable and I think that did that -- we -- impresses me about New England and its effect that they to have adjusted all the time. To their personnel in terms of game plan and you know -- there was no better example of that John you'll know exactly what I mean. Especially it was on a Monday night take you probably noticed -- equate to Minnesota Vikings last year to with a team that was very very staunch against Iraq. Almost set a record trophy was short rushing and 16 games he's -- a laugh out. And the patriots just came up through and through and through and through and through what it was all said and done they won the games handily. And also wonderful said that they had as many rushing attempt that the vikings did that night but I believe they won the game 31 step at him. When you look at the patriots stats at the end of the year because it gave -- impression that there are balanced golf sentiment to a degree there that's correct. But what they do is they will come out and run it. 15 times in a row if need be would -- throw 25 times program he'd be to the final numbers sometime indicate balance. It's not that there imbalance if you showed that they really approach things I think from a totally different perspective when a couple of putts."

Play from 41:04[41:04]" You know. I seem to recall something similar Leicester going into this game I was somewhat ironically last October 1 for the Bengals because there was some concern whether or not the patriots could. Control the football controlled temple and keep the ball out of Cincinnati's hands. And you know they completely throttled the bagels at every turn into one in the game by 25 points."

Play from 41:21[41:21]" Well listen that the that the game that they played against the dangled last year let's call what is it did it in essence to -- the single season. They put -- month Cincinnati lecture that I felt was felt by that team for the rest of the season remembered it to the circumstances they came into that game three NL. I think it just beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh. I believe they'd just been on the cover of sports illustrator for what I I heard that's another magazine comes out the best rivalry of football Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. He went very very good about themselves and the New England Patriots went into Paul Brown stadium and basically. Forget the final score 3813 -- physically beat up. The Cincinnati dangles Laurence Maroney stiff armed is wait for the entire -- numerous times. They they get away a number on them and I think they kept their confidence I think it's something that that the dip -- felt the rest of the year and I'm sure they'll be out too good to prove -- point the problem is since they deep sense when it doesn't get takeaways. Looks pretty miserable and that was the case. The last few weeks and giving up 51 point and then 24 point to the ground and the Seahawks. And certainly what the case on opening night on Monday night when the dangled but I got -- take away. In the interest we gotta win over the ravens."

Play from 42:38[42:38]" Then it. Well now -- we kind of started on this we my idol and start off with a of the game on Monday night with the New England Cincinnati an 8:30 eastern time kickoff on ESPN and at this the game that you guys cutting gear up for obviously you know you have to look at the entire league but. I mentioned a little bit earlier in the program Russell that the patriots certainly have the numbers on their side -- had been some superlative. Numbers this for the season and number one the league in total offense and number one of the league totally fenced. Other almost -- just barely number two in the league in scoring offense Cincinnati also likewise has pretty good pretty solid offensive numbers top five -- league categories but. Defensively -- with -- really really are lacking right now we spoke with -- from -- dot com yesterday and he thought about how the defense was banged up so you know the fact that the patriots are seven point favorite. -- really and I mentioned this earlier. The other or so points means you're just basically one play away from being. On an even keel is so how do you read this in terms of where the bagels are and the fact that you know they're desperate to get a win and they don't want to be potentially three games back in the standings you know to me that's adds a little bit of intensity of into the game especially from their side."

Play from 43:49[43:49]" Well I think what they're also telling you it is it is it is Cincinnati tackles -- say using the points preparing. Are any. Seven point paper on the road there and you don't -- their ten points they'd better. In the Cincinnati dangle -- and if you look at the way they performed so far it's hard to hectic argue that point Cincinnati is it's. If -- hitter missed the take away factor with them. On defense is enormous and not only be able bank upon decent respectable in the running game Rudi -- I believe that -- little banged up Kenny Watson finished a game last week if they're not able to establish some sort of run against that the New England Patriots healthy or unhealthy part of -- period throwing when you have to throwing when you have to an apparently good receivers they have and they wanted to arguably the best intimately could be in the church -- treatment -- He can be certain -- and he could be sitting duck. For eight patriots Stevenson through enormous amount looked section and certainly a guy he is now with a Dylan Thomas who fell off not only off to a good start with the patriots but just played the Cincinnati Bengals more than once in his career so some familiar faces on the New England decent. The confidence factor with these two teams right now seems to -- just seen today. Prof Chad Johnson bravado -- jacket on the sidelines and all these different things they're getting beat by a sense of confidence the team to going in opposite direction."

Play from 45:13[45:13]" that's very true and I also think though that when a team plays a little bit of an edge and I think in today's going to have to play with a little bit of an edge here that certainly can help them we know the patriots have utilized that very very well to their advantage but. Does that Cincinnati team -- the mental makeup to be able to play with a with a chip on the shoulder I don't know that they've proven it yet."

Play from 45:33[45:33]" don't think they have not and and Indians and if you're Marvin Lewis your fears this weekend if your team worried about getting venture worried about winning football games precisely and that is to be a big effect -- great quotes. It it -- to and to to resign him in mind that's foresight of course I watch a lot of little -- did -- of little things you hear there's agree Jim turner quote. When it Denver Broncos might help objects completed -- cowboy inseparable 12 and Jim turner talked about during the game -- after the game -- we were worried about winning and they were worried about football. And that's what kind of risky reminded of really big mine's taking the Cincinnati -- because they know far too well of how good -- you know let's go back even a couple years when listen to any big complaint put up at Foxboro and lost. To visit to the New England Patriots that he with a 3538 from the threat to the a lot of people felt that they came with me connecting because. You know the patriots were never really able to put him away until the -- and they kept coming it was it was a growing up type of game person that even though they -- So when they -- here. New England Patriots in their own ballpark. And got beat the way they kept -- physically I think it really took a lot like remember. The typical or Guthrie electorate which means we lost eight of their last 13 games last season and girl who wanted to -- this year. And you know the report are from attacking him in 2000 -- made its first playoff appearance in 14 years ago that it is that it quickly. In the post season it is you know Carson Palmer got hurt on his very first after the game they -- for the Steelers who eventually won Wimbledon here. Com but it is not being in. Bowl road be ever since that we wouldn't want flashy. They can make a statement in this game on Monday night like you get back on her about it there's any question about it like they do it and let's let's call for what -- you know. Most times in this week in the last year two weeks of club gonna -- the -- the last two years. Because they're the team -- got off to 13 you know starts and a nine you know start the last two years respectively okay. They're already the talk of New England. And then bill belichick's -- to dismiss it. Of go continue going to feed itself which it to me let's wait till we get to 13 you know because 90 Broncos cut at par in 2005 -- got -- got that -- it's incredibly hard to do of course. Or what teams are predominant focus because the whole point. Regular season postseason. Into one defeated but knowing that and so overpowering speaks for three weeks -- to win over them now this seems like competing attended OT. But that's the thing that Marvin Lewis I think being the court against because there's one thing begin to into Anders and I think -- another two -- Or that the two teams took to get -- 500 and given way to Baltimore 21 Pittsburgh Reno who obviously in the UC. He can't afford the -- to Boller behind in the top."

Play from 48:38[48:38]" No no doubt at all no doubt at all. What do you think this game ultimately then we'll kind of blood boil down to and would you could all be surprised in the system of the conversation that we. You've had here in the program this week which don't be surprised to see the patriot trip to come out and grind it out maybe a little bit more just to keep the ball out of Carson Palmer's hands."

Play from 48:55[48:55]" I wouldn't be surprised at all because I think you can do that against Cincinnati you know they're in their tickets -- at some -- has some of Robert Geathers is good player Michael Myers is solid player. A Justin Smith is that ANC and a steady -- probable player but he will make the big play every once in awhile but -- no one ever talks about new England's offensive line which. In the latter couple years starting with 2004 and I think really last year. I -- last year during this run John. That they had since 2001 that that that was the best offensive line and that line is basically intact from last year and I can only get better when you keep that line intact. And you know give what -- were needed to this Cincinnati -- pleasure I would be surprised at all. If they prepared to. Now of course several also -- shall be followed somewhere in between with the war on play action pass him feel for reading this report Donte' Stallworth. When the time come right but that's -- running the football does for -- that's the effects of running. The fact -- Cincinnati like that they -- dependent on the east takeaways. I think their only chance at winning this football game is to grind it out again I don't think you can afford to get in the shootout with doing -- these -- Come he really got to put you know it's -- of that'd jump tractor first assure. Right now. It is it's funny go back in recent years we used to talk about the Indianapolis Colts -- up these -- scored and being fatigued. That people look at going to feed it. Can we talk about the workman like. Rescission of the New England Patriots opinion you know winning three superbowl all by three points apiece and stuff like that -- you know early at least in this season. The roles of kind of reversed for the patriots and the colts. If you think about it. New England that the team is blowing everybody up putting up great offensive numbers and New England and in the colts the last two weeks of sound way to win road divisional games. One by two point one by six point that's why I'm kinda open would be great to see New England and in people go undefeated when they beat in early November Barbara you know kind of role reversal going on with them. And so one you know and I think the theory is you don't want to get in shootout with Indianapolis Colts I -- with the New England patriot you want to get into. Try to keep that. -- tandem of more than 380 and Moroni and Stallworth and welcome all on sidelined if Cincinnati's running game little healthier and are often -- give them a better shot. But they're really going to have to they're really going to have to be dependent on those -- ways I think John. -- pull -- and I throughout this number. To prove what I mean -- takeaways -- back to the start of the 2005 season including their play applaud the Pittsburgh that -- 20 and 74 as well 500. In the 20 team they've won -- 468 -- In the 16 games they lost they have 16 take. Really that's significant yes that is what you -- ultimate experiment for the and it."

Play from 51:58[51:58]" All right so they gonna take the football from the patriots pretty simple sounds like are pretty simple. Conversation get beat up and on practicality in this practicality is totally different things sometimes it by -- want you to know that we had. Jaws on the programming as they run towards you spent some -- isn't what does he was watching tape. Watching film -- NFL films and one of those conversations I've had with anybody in a long long time he really was really I mean he was very good he's very thorough very personable. Is he that easy to work with."

Play from 52:28[52:28]" Oh my goodness. Doesn't want to agree people I know it is companies want the best people I've met the last 1015 years. In going and so on -- Pete called me yesterday as a matter fact checking up on my daughter. And I said to have much said it was like have gotten into -- family and his kids. By the NFL could do works of John if George was not employed by ESPN musical could -- is hire him as -- ambassador for the game of football -- His passion is since year -- change when. He loves what he does he looked like -- don't have that great great for him the it -- go do Monday -- people -- those games and we've had in the time in his life."

Play from 53:05[53:05]" And by the way I even told mistress that you know it's really hard not to like you would become a lap and I -- special because about 27 years ago I hated your guts when your quarterback in the eagles and beating my cowboys. -- computer. Well -- we went like immediately get on the golf course which do little to do well I would yet but he's going to give me a stroke on hole. Yeah at least -- well I don't think about it I just watch out and ego Padilla. -- better than some of the rest of the schedule the instant reward can attack the patriots in the bagels and want to look first of all at the divisional games as we always try to do with the pats and we've got another inter divisional game with the jets playing at buffalo in and I it's really hard. After watching what happened last week here in Foxborough it it's really hard not to feel a little bit sorry for the bills right now."

Play from 53:49[53:49]" Well you know they've come out with a they -- a little you know with a lot of fire in the belly this year you know last year they played well down the stretch they lost a heartbreaker to Denver they got pushed around a little by Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh. And then last week and people would be on the though they actually held a 73 lead in that game. -- they also lost their quarterback -- looks like for a couple weeks so not only do they fit defeated jets team that is trying to expect of 500 they'll do what Trent Edwards a rookie into the bills are just you know the got a lot going on on -- Kevin -- situations probably that we can be on their minds you know losing their quarterback -- losing their rookie middle linebacker pol -- like me who now out for the year he was off to a very very good start it's it's been that kind of column analysts say the work for get a bowl because as we you know that the Kevin -- situation this company I think he grow as a person and so on -- but again. I think that -- on their minds -- the jets have been far from speak our community you know they lost you know to New England Baltimore last week. They had a hell -- on for dear life to get to Miami offense that managed to you know put up 20 points on them which of support were surprised they're -- And they usually sure article when they go up the buffalo but the one good thing for the jets here is Willis McGahee is available -- more. And he's with a guy who was always kill them when they when they played him. Now don't get me wrong Marshawn Lynch. -- very very hard I was very impressed with them honestly I don't think you can be anything but depressed by that kid -- even in the games they thought he runs very very hard I think he -- Surprised people with its cowards so and he will give the jets are painful but I think digital find a way to win this."

Play from 55:38[55:38]" Yeah I can do to and here's the thing jets win this game of buffalo. End of the Bengals observe the patriots all the sudden you only got a game separating the two teams in the east -- a we will give the division to the patriots after the first week."

Play from 55:51[55:51]" And that's -- my favorite NFL rule is typically all the games. And you know if you can hear what -- what's funny time and this is not meeting this about the patriots okay. But we fighter you know teams we have 5 retain more than likely wanted to -- notes it's gonna go to was the biggest slump where they have the whole point. For dear life -- yet or maybe not make the playoffs because usually you find it team not every year -- Reno team -- start public Cincinnati last year great case in point couple years of Minnesota six you know missed the playoffs. So you'll find that it does happen which he gets off to a good start and doesn't finished atop like -- maybe just maybe want to be -- went to -- Comes out of nowhere and makes a run. In the middle of the year they might not get it done but and I know the last time -- he made the playoff for the 1990 Buffalo Bills let's when they. -- that getting going with -- podiums that are rob Johnson right at quarterback but it does happen and that's the beauty of this week now you know if you look at beginning of the year you had curricula but this -- you look at the beginning you're you're -- on your schedule you probably feel a little better about it right now sure. Okay because this -- the book. I think of look. Flat world in three weeks that would go bears are now get great make a quarterback change and that's that the thing they can't get themselves either one of pain pitch straight doubt. And so on but that that is the beauty the National Football League you have to play these games teams are not intimidated I think teams are far less intimidated. By teams that they were 1015 years ago during different Eric now I think people don't. They're not intimidated by -- that's such thing to be born today by the -- the patriots and maybe degree some other team because they have had this sustained period of excellence but there's not a lot of sustained period of explosiveness weakening a public place."

Play from 57:48[57:48]" The DL Miami Dolphins are at home they've got the Oakland Raiders 2:1 O'Clock eastern time game and I would assume that this should be an opportunity for Miami but Oakland got its first last week."

Play from 57:59[57:59]" Did -- it looked like it to be Daunte Culpepper against started he started the season last year we're the kind of continue to compete in this -- on. And -- who of course I'll go off the beaten for pat here but. You know that that the new Miami Dolphins have been besieged by quarterback -- for a long time -- seems like that forever they've been trying to. Replaced -- Marino quickly when treated electric green this year but. Do you realize -- former dolphins quarterback are going to be starting around the league this week. It is probably half a dozen. We get Daunte Culpepper that's one starting against the offense Joey Harrington started. In -- playing greasy had three opportunities and he -- week and of course Damon Huard for. Of course with the just throwing it out there you know to go number like that -- that don't -- quarterbacks unfortunately they just haven't got a steady play from their own right. Com and last week it I think in 80 team effort against the jets that. You know I don't like what -- seemed so foreign to these raiders you know video of what a couple of tough -- and it looked at Detroit opening day but they certainly are not the same team they weren't all -- the target these bad as they work off a pleasure to be to get off 12 offensive touched -- halfway there this year -- probably not as good an impeachment but. The dolphins an epidemic deepened as well this year I wouldn't be terribly surprised that the raiders went and pulled this off you know unless. Ronnie brown you know can keep the Oakland offense off the field that's hardly hear you saying that these statement. You know Lamont Jordan has been dynamite the last two weeks he -- right the Broncos great for the browns last week again might be Stephenson will get up the stuff he did at Oakland. Just like it just like two weeks ago. When everybody looked at Cleveland Cincinnati went head and we went up with 96 points don't be surprised that this is -- game of the week. Really well then again don't be surprised by the might -- I mean it's I think it's an intriguing game he."

Play from 1:00:00[1:00:00]" Raiders who or in Italy won two games by security halfway home. They look like eight different teams certainly kept and so -- any question about it and I do little more energy to my -- and I newly. -- and it looked affected Culpepper is starting against you know team that cut him loose I think that gives some incentive here -- because -- question about it you mentioned a little bit earlier -- the 53 nose in the Bible when -- this week and even look at the teams that are three you know right now that might be potentially"

Play from 1:00:30[1:00:30]" a team that could slide back in the pack I think so to speak you might have to look at the packed in Green Bay goes on the road at Minnesota this week. Can we keep it up. Well I I think -- you know a lot of you can go back to a long history. The veteran that was never been one of the Packers beat replace the plate it's been you know kind of council -- reports on our side intent there starter. It's a closer look the last four years he's played there the Packers have actually won administered to realize for years. Apprentice from ten touchdown pass to pick last working there he stalled for over 300 yards the last three years there Minnesota it's -- against LeBron suspect -- the past their offense has been dreadful probably gonna go which opened again this week because abortion activist opening up they got this sensational rookie between Peterson there's no question about that but the Packers are doing it different way they've gotten very steady decent they're getting almost. You know I I think the term you'd 80s supplemented running game. With the passing game. But the Packers until they get their own running game go -- trying to replace green with Renee Jackson their backs have been a little banged up it's -- being a little more careful with the football it's not that he doesn't have the potential do you think that they've been kind of using -- the past more than the run. Don't say this so far this year and it's paid off of that big San Diego last week I I still think they'll find a way to get this team. Done can win this game it is not going to be easy because Minnesota's Stevenson very very physical. But -- often make many mistakes of not be surprised if somebody like if Burnett or AJ hawk or Charles Woodson returns to pick in this game."

Play from 1:02:18[1:02:18]" Another three no team that -- will be -- would be at home on Sunday the Dallas Cowboys of the future patron opponent a couple of weeks when the cowboys. Will entertain New England saint Louis is -- three you've got one of these oh and three versus Torino matchups on Sunday. And even though Dallas is a prohibitive favor in this when I'm still a little nervous about it looking at it from a cowboy perspective and I don't know it's because you don't. It's just the rams on a Bolger has -- some broken ribs and he still up there playing why am I uneasy about this."

Play from 1:02:50[1:02:50]" Well I think I think what happens in Englewood team is. The expectation of being where you are supposed to win. Okay I I think I think athletes now and I'm not trying to be -- generalize currently. But because there's such so much attention being out when you play UT that you're supposed to win. That winning almost becomes a release. For teams and I think that's what you -- more surprises now did you ever -- you know and I think it plays on the mind when you have a team like every -- don't have offensive firepower. With the Torry Holt in the I think -- Mark Bulger and so one. But there's always -- reason for concern but here's recent for more concerned with the rams. They won't have Stephen Jackson. And even more so if you really want to point to -- to why this -- it's gotten off to such a miserable start offensively look no further than offensive line. That is watch a weekly basis starters go down Orlando -- is out for the year you know they -- percent or they just lost their left guard. -- you can hit it if it they have nobody to block anybody. They're they're I don't care who you are still people -- it it's that system now they're going to go to the -- to -- running back. I think they already have a scheme which is work oriented toward the -- and Iran -- to go attempted before and they can really get some heat on you with that the market where there could be entered. And they might take great yellow aspect that we could play this game if you're cowboys -- you. -- issue should be concerned because the road team has had a tendency of winning these games. But this is just an undermanned rams team at the wrong that possible position. Is his chance then for the cowboys defense to show some improvement I think you saw that last week I think you've seen steady improvement over the last couple weeks you know and I know it's a it was a Rex Grossman -- last week and he's on the bench. You know but after give coupled -- touchdown passes in the count was picked -- seven passes collecting game ball to -- green and Rex -- take that away this. Okay bottom line is they weren't necessarily making those plays they need one off -- But they weren't necessarily because those plays. In the early going of course having carrots and -- certainly certainly helped Anthony Henry who you know they signed a couple of years ago to peak physical quarter is really had to -- used to pitch at each of the last two games. -- music -- the corner you can help -- people but I think they're getting more workable number they needed differ with. Even though there's still the three fort they -- switched to a new coach okay hand. Look at look at the San Diego Chargers right now if you don't think. Coordinator treated -- head coaching change would be different with talent on teams. Look no further than San Diego I think decal was getting more more comfortable with -- sentinel weekly basis."

Play from 1:05:36[1:05:36]" Two -- the quick games I wanted to look at Russell just briefly to only because of the the significance of the competition the patriot within the NFC Pittsburgh playing in Arizona Soviet Steelers can -- put on the road although you know it's question whether or not that this is really huge step up from what they've already played and then. Of course a big match -- I think that a lot of patriots fans have been looking that will be Denver at Indianapolis and with a -- Denver can hang with the colts in the be put on L on their side of the ledger on the Sunday afternoon first about Pittsburgh is this is sort of a false --"

Play from 1:06:08[1:06:08]" Why I would say it's also I think it's it's a different -- in could can be in this week Reno is it's three you know I mean let's keep in mind they have won every one of those -- these gains we've reached 21 point. So it's not like they haven't done what they have done but here's what I'd seen with and so forth their defenses -- more aggressive. That it had been in recent years very very very physical and look at Ben Roethlisberger the difference a year makes at this time lecture he was 3 units thrown a touchdown passes and 76. This year recently you know -- one -- them and I think a lot -- what it is it is and they have not really put up they've not been. Dynamic interpret the passing game. They've really -- to use the passing game descent the run support Willie parker who runs a lot harder than people gave credit for his -- a Hubbard policy or it. In each of the first three weeks but here's the difference I -- with Ben Roethlisberger opposed to years ago he Wi dean his -- ability. I think people forget that he was one of those guys -- was able to slip and slide. And -- place and he saw the game last week in San Francisco by the way under the niners plus by 21 points but that is really young it -- grooming coming deep -- and it's one that lost meaningless. But the addition to beat Clement and Michael Lewis to their secondary John has been tremendous that's really young decent to keep and I I think Seattle better be where this week. But then it beat that. Ability to excuse to rush and make plays on the line slide around in the pocket he -- he get -- your -- very disciplined populated between. The -- he's an accident at the appendectomy leader concussion and so he looks a lot more decisive Pete looked a lot more confident now also keep in mind something here. Very very familiar -- it and play the cardinals every bite but for years -- with the puck -- Graham who basically the offensive. Coaches for the Steelers are now in Arizona the bigger question batter's zone it's because they're gonna go with the two heady quarterback in the -- Kurt Warner in bat lighter if you haven't heard about that the kind of kind alternate quarterbacks. I think our as the cardinals not that they're not capable point out the upset I think -- probably feel better -- which -- or -- that the the heat I was what I was -- familiarity. Could be had an awful tricky thing term and affected and within one -- group grows. The Steelers offensive line in the Steelers heal people and Hines -- it's a bit of a question Mark coming it is cape. What -- the cardinals they have three dynamite receivers. And Pittsburgh doesn't get that pass rush. They're quarterbacks or we would open the question."

Play from 1:08:51[1:08:51]" Denver at Indianapolis and them. The colts -- appear to be Browning themselves into shape as well on the deep end doesn't appear to have many -- Swiss cheese holes -- it as we originally thought."

Play from 1:09:02[1:09:02]" Well I think they find ways to make plays and I'd say it we we kind of alluded to this earlier. I'm very impressed with the fact that even though -- 2220 and 3024. Okay the one thing that the COLT is they still need to get their special teams in order once again for the second time in the last four meaningful games they played. They allowed the opening kickoff to be run back for a touchdown they did the superbowl they did last week. Who knows people on coupon packs and working to get better and you know we that we had a -- game commit this week so. News that focus on on that for the most part and others you know receivers -- Both good picked -- pretty well knows there's no problems with that it's this there is follows them you know -- I says it's a really -- we got this week so that's my -- obvious concern is mixer that I know with the with their defense has to do against their offense and really have that now. Like it's -- it'll come in on -- X amount that's that's really in the back mama I'm not really worried about it you know -- things come everything's going well right now we're -- we're playing at a high level woods -- time we've we have allowed things that we can correct that we need to correct. Maine and you expected this week in practice -- it's going to be different outcome smoke you produce and doing it. I especially those. It's almost like presses this matter has come and -- And doing our jobs I think that if there by the comes in and music business and takes care of their. Own responsibilities will be okay it's. You know -- they they have a good really good defense and days you know -- a lot of -- so it's going to be it's going to be specified for -- to -- only we have an alliance -- pretty good you know me you know -- success in. In lead in the oh lead and they axiom and it's a much promo so he's he's doing them a reason -- playing really -- like like he's been -- for the past -- so. And they've they've got they got a really good offense and you know they'd be just playing well and also -- special -- platoon so this is this is you know another week the big toes for -- and come. You know they'll they'll be they'll be great to play this week."

Play from 1:49:25[1:49:25]" It would also this week and just a bit of a program reminder next week because of the Monday Night Football game it pushes -- patriots Monday programming here on the patriots dot com radio pushes it back to Tuesday. Yeah out. So next week is a short or at least a shorter work week for those of us here on patriots dot com radio. And so our next program won't come do you until next Wednesday. Hum here inside the play book anyway will be only Wednesday Thursday next week leading into the Cleveland Browns game back here at home. So -- to -- to bring that to your mind programming will be sort of dormant on Monday because of the game that night. In the the patriots Monday programming from the EEI guys will be on Tuesday in the will be back with -- our normal schedule on Wednesday and Thursday of next week due to Monday Night Football. Our vet having been said we'll wrap of the program they would patriots coach Bill Belichick and his talking with the patriots media earlier today here at Gillette stadium as the pass at three you know try to move to four and -- against the team that certainly has its share of offensive weapons as we talked about. But maybe wounded on the fence and you always want to be aware of the wounded bingo. Here's Bill Belichick."

Play from 1:50:50[1:50:50]" But -- don't. Wrong the -- it splinter here's incidence of -- gone. Some credit form. Thanks for itself. Now not all of on the identifier -- Is going to do them out of the -- you know he's very. It's got a lot of energy he likes football -- out on the field -- unplanned. I don't think he has in his at all ago. Justices found. I think is haven't followed it. That's personality and I think he's. Is sincere and that's areas I think he's respectable derivative. That's the only thing at all. Well -- I mean as cynical comments that they made you know relative to how defensive -- defensive teams rotate their front line and to keep him fresh I kind of thing and -- that they do it for some of the same reasons you know obviously you know senator how to pronounce it. We're going to yesterday you know itself for a couple weeks and so you know establish -- for him and same thing with the leave -- That they gave you know what were some work over there but definitely I came back and they rolled -- and for the liberal worse than their for Andrews and you know it and then. The other tackle there. Certain okay four -- a little bit more or Anderson so. -- only got really hasn't rolled out of there has been Williams you know he's -- right guard but the other guys you know -- a couple of guys -- circle -- guys play garden builder ghastly tackle spots. In Alou or Floyd. Lower right -- some last year and Andrews is you know play a little bit -- regardless so. They have a lot of confidence and versatility and in those guys and -- plan you know get a couple guys that are kind of you know pretty experienced players and they got a couple young guys that looks like they're trying to you know work their way in there and and exit they move the ball conservative. Regular season there today -- movable. Yeah certainly I don't think it. Business conscious just the story though. Yeah I think he's I think he's had to release -- practiced it must have always -- his practiced well another good day at various were talking about it and there was in the it was time. Another good day of practice I think he's you know he's working hard think he's doing fine and wouldn't you know so -- the opportunities but. Top of the when he gets his chances that he'll he'll make what is it. All receivers dominant force -- you know he's you know had chances tomorrow. He's good there isn't it. These -- quickest fest -- hands. Is smart receiver deep in knows how to beat different coverages and -- seen a lot of coverage he -- our coverage. And he you know knows how to how to be that different types of coverage that he gets. So he he's good after the catch he does everything well. God has been seen in receiver for years -- it so. It's all like he has seen double coverage as -- he's as insane. Young team's game plan form that he he knows he can deal with it and he's that are. Didn't look like it. -- that'll put it. There -- their -- game was Middlesbrough go to Watson ownership is it an assault player. -- I don't think it's been okay. Wow it's been great balls and a few other times. -- created this day of the week you know we'll we'll get tested this week he's just turn over better than anybody so I think there's -- plays we've got away with you know what we really haven't done a good job -- the ball we have gotten back or. The whistle blue or before they get out because they weren't really trying to get it I don't think we're really had a they gets dangles there they're always trying to get it and there's there's very little margin for and that's why they get so many of them so. I think that's one of those things that. I'm not sure how good it is. -- could agree more with what he said and I think."

Play from 1:57:18[1:57:18]" Bill I was kind of the reverse of the situation last you know they got vaulted them until a couple times in the first quarter you know we're able to field goals down -- down potentially 14000. We come back and works of concerns xsilence. You know. That's kind of what it is you know one good drive can negate it too good ones for the other team that's you know -- Support on both sides of the ball and an innocence -- a team that can move the ball on the I don't think it. Realistically I think you're going to play them and I think in the -- and they get down there against everybody usually get down there are lots of it all three couple times us. If you can do that community -- it's a lot of points. So certainly important it's always important all the situations -- important third down red area two minute goal line short yardage. You know whenever they come out there that are important you know how many times are going to hit. Defensively hopefully there in the red zone you know means them on one play you know and a fifth gear touchdown pass at least make him drive through the red zone. Yeah you know -- problem. We can stop somebody -- of anybody else. It's plants on defensive."

Play from 1:58:53[1:58:53]" Is there really isn't really good test of thereafter got a great arm."

Play from 1:58:58[1:58:58]" Hate it possible on some incredibly tight spots. And sometimes and a double coverage you know he's got our confidence is in his arm and generally most of the time he gets it in there. You know exits each day in and -- especially there's a lot of plays where there's defenders draped all over them one -- problem on guy behind them got receivers sandwich them. He threads Nadal and there for you know 2530 yard gains in. -- most guys would even throw. And he -- them so it really. You know really stresses your coverage is good people are very -- that he ball's in and they got some guys that got them you know. You know include Henry the last couple years but I -- a lot of big plays you know. In addition to -- and TJ you know in the past them. On -- so he's you know he's very accurate it's big guy stands -- pocket hard. Hard to tackle you know -- he doesn't go down easily easy you --"

Play from 2:00:00[2:00:00]" You gotta tackle."

Play from 2:00:03[2:00:03]" Good real good pets -- really good it was we saw that I don't know why do that was. Miss Indianapolis to stand next to him on a daily basis and -- washing out there and miserable is. Don't like look at Testaverde you know big strong perfect mechanics. There's no hang time on all he can you know he can drill. You know -- 30 -- in cutter but corner I'll just it just rolled it up there."

Play from 2:00:35[2:00:35]" There"
