[0:00]" Let's go let's gods -- have fallen out at all. It speeds patriots playbook that man coverage then it's on the seven -- patriots playbook breaking down last Sundays game yeah go ahead and handed it him because the fact going to. Over the top next Sunday -- wanna go pot pie -- play that they've won fair and the rest of the 2000 love an NFL he's back. Bare -- some of the fun stuff in between even 51 right even. Right now."
[0:33]" He year news. John Rollins --"
[0:41]" So we have to go back got to do this again today I mean. Everything that I've heard over the course of the last 48 hours or almost 48 hours since this patriots football team. That is dispatching the Dallas Cowboys 48 point seven on Sunday and -- Everything I've heard is that the season's over hand him the trophy -- the in the championship it's all done nobody can keep up wear them nobody can play with a nobody's gonna beat him. But isn't this why we play the games. I mean I don't know you know I realized that you know and what we're just talk about with BMW guys --"
[1:19]" I realize that this is a this is a -- time in in the in the history of this franchise that all patriots fans should rebel. You should want this. This time right now to just not go away. You should wanted to -- is my my my my my qualities that we should just want to sit Waller and it's like a pig in slop it's great stuff. You dispute -- do enjoy the moment -- that or the moments as they continue to come along week after week -- week. Because this is as close to. 81 season juggernaut as you may ever say in the NFL and the fact that you're getting this done. In the current day and age free agency and salary cap an end and in any different. Way of doing business in professional sports much less professional football is good it's just it's gonna go down in the record books and people are going to look back on this season. If if this -- team goes where we think it can go and certainly it now has shown us that they are capable they are capable of getting there. But if it goes this way than this will be a season. Like navy will never come across our paths again. And certainly am talking about yeah out 16 an -- slash 19 you know slash Super Bowl championship again. Based on what we saw on Sunday I mean -- the cowboys are what the NFC has to offer. And then there's really only one team left on the schedule that even poses a threat and that we all know that comes up on November the fourth. And I and I say that really with the all the respect to to Miami this weekend in in all due respect to Washington the next weekend. And with -- all due respect to you know Pittsburg in Baltimore -- more than capable opponents on the schedule on down the line. Fact is is that if if the patriots play like they play on Sunday against against Dallas nobody's gonna beat him. Nobody it's going to be an and I still don't believe I'm sure that many of you will -- probably have already mentioned is such. I still don't believe the pacers played their absolute best game on Sunday that they left a lot of the table. Certainly defensively I think that there was a moment that the could improve upon offensively even. Although he can't argue with 48 points but how could you argue with that you hang up almost half a hundred on people it's like college football. You know it's it's it's scary if this team ever does play the complete perfect game. Which it may invariably take to beat the colts in a couple of weeks. What have they ever do put it together won't be pretty. And you have to think that at some point in time this season is going to be an ugly. Ugly ugly game and it will be very lopsided. And that the only way that the patriots lose a game this year is -- if they lose the game the other team won't win it. Does that make sense to me. Patriot shoot themselves in the foot with you know a 12 turn -- game like the cowboy up 12 penalty game like the cowboys had on -- of the cowboys. Contributed to their demise. Yes the patriots were impressive but the cowboys contributed to their demise on Sunday with penalties. They're consistently thwarted stopped drives. Seoul while patrons were impressive. I know that there's still talk down a hallway over how we can get better as a football team we left a lot out there. They put 48 points of on the board in in my guess is that probably think we should put up 62. I'm -- guarantee you that's the way they think we should of put up 62. And we should have given up 27 you know the the obvious for the offense give up one of those but the these things give up what wanting. You know I'm thinking that the defense probably think we've they gave of about ten to many. So there's still work to improve upon. But I I am beginning to join the club now of the all the way the patriots loses if they lose the game they shoot themselves in the foot. I don't know that there's another team capable on the schedule the season they can do with the exception of Indy. Now granted Indianapolis is still imminently qualified offensively they're still somewhat susceptible defensively but sometimes you can -- a little bit of that playing on the home field. If this were if this game on November the fourth -- going to be here in Foxboro no contest. Baker should be favored probably by at least ten probably when the game by two touchdowns or more that's my thought. In Indy the bit this'll probably be the only game all year the patriots won't be a favorite. I do not think that they'll be favored in the game as impressive as it has been thus far to a six in a start I don't think the -- I think you I I think initially the not go to the defending champs and maybe it should go that way. Maybe you should hoping you should wish for it to be that way. Maybe that's what will motivate this team although I just don't know how much more motivation this team -- they seemed to self motivate any time. They need it ended any. Point that they needed they seem to come up with a self motivation these these guys are remarkable. It is a unique collection talents and individuals and guys with will power and professionals it's a collection of of individual coaches players staff that could easily be called once in a generation. Mean you know when you think of the great teams in the pantheon of NFL history you're you're -- obviously -- Chicago Bears you know the early of the 30s and 40s you'd certainly but in recent memory you're you're going with the of the Green Bay Packers of the 60s the Pittsburgh Steelers of the 70s the San Francisco 49ers of the 80s the Dallas Cowboys of the 90s. And he got -- though the patriots try to their in the 2000. This is the past decade. And they're going to stamp it. Their decade. Should they win at least one more if not two more -- who's. Who's to say if they don't keep the nucleus of the team together they can't be you know when a couple more before we turn the corner on -- of the decade. This team seems to have the pieces of the puzzle in place and I and I really believe they turned the corner in a lot of ways because I know that you know a lot of that that the that negative publicity over spike gate will continue to linger between you know -- oh continually for the rest of the year. And it will be a focal point believe you me of the patriots are fortunate to get Super Bowl week it'll be a focal point there will be talking about it you can discount on it. Police police count on -- and don't act surprised it happens because it will. But when you have a guy like Chris Collins -- who you know seems to be is anti patriot an analyst and I put my finger quotations around the -- analyst. They use that term relatively loosely with him -- I think he has an agenda. Again that's just my personal opinion I'd I don't happen to know that he has an agenda but I I just I surmise that he does but when he turns around on on Sunday night this week and he says on national television cowboy of the that this that was. The hatred for the greatest team. He used that word the greatest team. In the NFL. Then I think what you've done is if you've you've got people who or even eight says waving the white black. Now that doesn't mean that -- won't be criticism and it doesn't mean that everybody going to jump on the bandwagon and and brought in Iraq that patriot train to Arizona coming up in February no that's not a suitcase there will always be detractors there were always be the other side and nobody is going to his jump on the train. Willingly but what it does say is that you know talent wins out over everything else. You can you can complain you can argue you can present you know faxes as they as they appear or even as they not appear I mean -- do all the complaining in in all below you know. The -- accusation -- the pages that you want the bottom line is this team has talent. More than anybody else in the league this year the team has coaching. For that talent perhaps more than anybody else does on any other team this year they've got depth. Which means they have an abundance of this said talent more than any other team in the league this year. And what he had these three things together with desire. -- hunger. With the you know you know the the the absolute hell bent for -- attitude that I am going to win a ring. You know from a few choice individuals and I think you probably know who we're speaking of on this on the patriots football team than. Frankly you're stacking the deck. Against personally -- bill Simmons said on the -- His column on espn.com is -- the patriots are sending an X rated message to the rest of the NFL. And I and I and bill Simmons who I know many of you know is the use the former Boston sports guy and now syndicated by espn.com I frankly in. -- he you know I I don't like a lot of stuff I I've just I'm not in -- to -- all the way that he goes about doing things but. They're a lot of things that had to agree about two on with and that's the job of -- you're not supposed to agree with everything a columnist says. I think in that respect he's definitely doing his job. But I think he's hit the nail on the head here. He's absolutely hit the nail on the head here when the patriots are sending an X rated message to the rest in the NFL. I don't know maybe maybe you peace all the columns. But you know right off the top just briefly all read the whole thing -- but he says."
[11:19]" Right after -- sales interception clinch the patriots 4817 victory in Dallas. On Sunday my blackberry vibrate it with a six word text from my friend Willie. Quote here comes the F -- touchdown. And guess what. It happened. When Kyle Michael took him home with 19 seconds to go the game on a fourth and one. Now first of all I realize that there are a lot of people would you're going to criticize those that pay attention on the you know the sportsman like being taken -- you know taken me. Inside somebody's five yard line because frankly that's more than its opening thing else. I really don't think so I I just I don't think that you would have taken either because that's like saying that's Robin your face and to me is competitor if I'm on the other satellite -- scrimmage you're taken the other instance I'm kind of like what you don't think I can stop you. You don't get a kick a field goal there because they need to score points to score points you gotta run the play. And years -- gave the ball to the right guy is kinda like -- had never scored a touchdown of the NFL calico was not this team during the summer camp. Kyle tackle may not be on another NFL David -- for the patriots. But he had a chance. To score for himself and he had a chance to do what we still rarely get in New England that is the F few touchdown. And we got one on Sunday. You know what the bill Simmons -- is normally taken either but not this year. Back in the mid 80s every time the Celtics walked off an opposing floor after hard fought victory on the road -- Kevin mchale clinched his fists raised his Frankenstein arms above his head and showed off his victorious armpits. This would they Harry victory cigar of the bird era. Maybe the 2007 patriots don't have anything as magical as -- it but they do have the F view touchdown. It's their little kept telling the other 31 teams you took shots at us after the jets' game you discredited -- three Super Bowl you pretended we were the only team stealing opposing signal when everyone else does it so you know a lot. -- view. Enough said. And so. The cowboy game in a sense is the F few games. That's what it is an and I apologize remained somewhat flip Buren and and maybe some what -- you know this is the Internet after all but I do trip we do -- a little bit of a comport -- In such an earlier when he understands what it is that I'm saying aren't here. Right Gary he's talking about Britain's guy like gives -- You're -- thanks. I would dump button here but number two -- as the but we do have the ability did to bleep out you know for a little transgression but nevertheless. Double again was at -- is the way it is."
[14:14]" And Kyle cycles touchdown if you touchdown and that's the way to just tell the rest of the league to shut up. Just take it take your punishment like -- So that's where we are. That's this is where we're standing after six weeks. This team is undefeated there probably aren't too many of you that thought that they wouldn't be undefeated after the stage. I mean maybe you thought that they would goods double till I don't know somewhere Dallas would certainly had to be one of those possibilities because it was a road game. But I'm going to venture a guess -- the overwhelming majority of you already thought this team would be six you know after six weeks. The fact I'm going to guess as say the overwhelming majority of you figure this team to be eight you know going into Indianapolis. And there's probably a majority we still who feel like nine no going into the bye week after Indy based on what you've seen thus far. So."
[15:12]" You know. Where does this leave us for this week's game -- we yes we will spend this week talking about Miami a lot of the focus will be on how far they've fallen they are -- and six but -- You know I for one do not feel overly confident in Sunday's game reason being if you've been a patriot fan for any length of time you understand. South Florida has always been a trouble spot for the franchise no matter how. Good the relative strengths or how bad the relative weaknesses are of the respective teams. It's always been -- it's always been a trouble spot sure the patriots have won there. But yeah they've also lost some games that they should want to. Now again this year is different and I -- spent the first 15 minutes of this program tornadoes this programs and that this year is different. It was pretty clear even to the uninitiated even to the non football -- to the non patriot fan this year is different. Because what you have is a patriot team that Poland people up by the -- for the next whether shirt collar. And basically punching him in the nose. You know there is reaching out grabs him by the shirt collar pulled him up two -- and -- bright note that's exactly what this patriots football team is doing to the rest of the NFL. And it doesn't mean that at some point in time one of those people that this team pulls up by the shirt collar isn't going to strike back. Dallas for the first time at least took a swing. This past week when they took the first lead -- against the patriots in the second half."
[16:48]" And of course in the papers go right down and score and never looked back in the out score cowboys over the typically 20 to three. Down the stretch in the last quarter and a half."
[17:00]" that was you know that that that that was a significant turning point. And it just shows you that this Baker's team and flip the switch and turn it on. Physically and mentally when they want to and that's the real scary part about this football. As the real scary part I best you don't see that much think back they back to. Think back to the patriots teams think back to other teams that you've been a fan of or that you watched play. Over the years in the NFL they -- the -- college teams even you don't see too many teams where they can just flip a switch and turn it on. And and women like that and perform like this is a rarity."
[17:47]" And because it is a rarity this is why I would encourage you as a fan is a follower as an observer to enjoy what we have and and again put the blinders on go week to week. Join the guys down a hallway in in exactly what they're going to be doing and that is going to be focusing on Miami. And and why you can have a little giddy fun I think looking down the line -- what about Indian what about the pit that the that the via Pittsburgh Steelers and what about maybe even the Baltimore ravens and do we have a shot may be getting to Dallas or something again in the several you can do that as a threat. But but just realize now that you know nobody in the hallways and join him. And realize that you don't want to get to February too quickly because you want to savor every last second. Of this season that you can."
[18:40]" If you're just an all fire hurry to get to February and turn the clock but let's get to the let's get -- the playoffs -- you're just not enjoying football. Enjoy this revel in it. It is my dad Ed -- and it like a pig in slop. Because you just won't get too many more chances if you ever get another chance like this is a stand. As a follower as an observe you'll get two more chances Jason's in Florida joining us today good afternoon Jason are you."
[19:07]" Afternoon great like again. Com I'm agree revered that we should all enjoy that's what it is and I picked suppliers enjoyment. -- know one thing that's all very looked a little bit under director of the worst until it onto that little."
[19:28]" Well I don't know -- it was so much under direct -- is that I think that the Dallas Cowboys were actually doing some things defensively because in some. Some consternation I think the cowboys put you know pretty good pressure on him you know not with the front four but you know with the occasional time blitz that caused him to -- enemy was sacked three times in the game which met the total the first five games all combined. But you gotta give the cowboys deep into more credit than anything else but the patriots were able to pick up on that and like I said they were able it take care they made -- of the adjustments that needed to they -- Brady out a couple of times he was able to you know as the phrase that we like do you -- dink and dunk. -- some -- you know he was able final -- underneath and I still don't think Dallas is tackled Wes Welker. To this point. It here it is Tuesday. So you know. The price that the problem is is that you know if you're good deep offense I think Dallas is a good -- I think they're improving the canceling Dallas will get better. But you're not going it's it's like the Dutch -- trying to put a finger in the dike. You know it's important time you're gonna run out of fingers in the going to be more leaks that are going to spring. And that's exactly how I think Sunday --"
[20:34]" Yeah I think it's majors -- are very. Where circumstance here and it it is truly magnificent to watch -- telecheck -- out. Competing against themselves you don't really see that at all it's always were not up against that team and just sit -- watch team. I don't know which would agree I agree with gunfire also ordered yet to be truly perfecting themselves competing against themselves. It's just wanted to be old and I'm just enjoying it aquatic Hugo everything because that would look back on Scotland --"
[21:10]" I think that's a smart idea I think that if you have a a team VR tivo I think you'd be well served by getting some of this on record. And and ranked who you know burn it to a disk or whatever you know you can in the -- he put it in your memory because quite frankly I think this will be an historical year. And I don't know that this you'll ever ever be matched again in the annals of NFL history now I'm sure that there have been other teams in other years that have said the same thing. But you know and -- this game takes a turn in all systematically again don't like it did when we brought the salary cap in in free agency and to play 20 in almost 20 years ago now I don't know if there's another turn out there to take. I just don't know that there is and therefore I think it's going to -- with everybody now of course you know the NFL as a copycat league -- most successful in leagues are -- most successful teams -- everybody tries to copy them well when everybody tries to -- the patriots -- a few teams actually catch on. And are able to do that. Somebody else is going to break away from the pack it may not be the patriots it could be anybody. Someone else will break away from the -- it is is is is sure an occurrence as death and taxes. Okay somebody always create something new. But I don't know that they'll create something new. That will meet with such devastating results as with the patriots have done I don't know I. I'd I'd say realistically speaking I'd say that's a long shot."
[22:36]" Yeah I'm I'm just ready set up rapidly -- and great show up expect my question."
[22:42]" Thanks Jason appreciate the time is always 585437482 is the telephone number you do can. Make the phone call and participate in the program with your thoughts 585437482 with a telephone number of course our email address you know that web radio at patriots dot com bomb. I won't get to a lot of emails Brian -- from -- patriots today is going to join us believe in the second error of the program as he normally does in Tuesday's I I do have an email question for you today we do try to come up some sort of -- of topical arrangement for you consider and future emails into -- finally got a bunch of emails left over the want to get too I was sure it was going to go that's the quite frankly I I do want to do it because today's the first day that you can kinda get on line on NFL dot com invoke the probable. And Ira and and we talked we've done this shows passed in in past years but this year is a little different for the patriots because usually -- its New England. And it usually patriots fans in particular you know yeah I'm talking to you. It's patriots fan that you snubbed when it comes the probable they feel like all sorts -- should've gotten it how come we're not getting any respect. And that seemed to be prevalent theme to come to pick in the probe. And quite frankly a lot of it may be your own fault but if you don't go on line and you don't vote the fans to have a a vote in this you get a percentage of the overall vote. And so you should take advantage of the situation when you know your team is not. You go to an infield are common over the players. But what I wanted you to do today in particular this program an email me back -- web radio at patriots dot com guy. It's too easy to say. The whole offense deserves to go to the pro bowl. Or hold these fans deserve to go to the problems too lazy when I'm going to do that. I want you pick the three most deserving players on both sides of the football program that we university well maybe not him. But I want you to pick three I want you to narrow it down to the top three. Because if your top three get in that six representatives. And six you'd have to admit even in this day and age would be a good at. Representation for the patriots not always head is really is what nine colts are nine Steelers or something like that picked in recent past. And maybe that will happen with the patriots I frankly don't think so. Because this Baker's team as we -- was built and predicated on the fact that there is not one single superstar. Carrying this team although you might say Tom Brady into or Randy moss might be in that category right now."
[25:20]" And maybe -- is Thomas on the defensive side of the ball. But but short of that there's really not anybody that stands out like some other teams have had in the past because of the depth overall because the guys who just. And to develop this team that's the way this team was that I think you know that. So I'm going to ask you. To make -- cuts."
[25:41]" And because the -- pro ball. Voting has begun an NFL dot com this week I want you right here right now on patriots playbook. Web radio at patriots dot com I want you to send me. Your six players three offense three -- that are most deserving for the patriots. Three guys that you feel like will -- get the most votes -- beat you think should go deserve to go right now now we're not talking about based on the into the season how you think someone will project out over 16 weeks. How would you tell me who is pro bowl caliber on this team after six weeks. And pro bowl calendar caliber after six weeks who deserves to go three offense three defects. I didn't say -- offense into David's eyes at three in three and I -- you improbable I think -- still probably have some trouble making your cuts. And even though we're not even halfway into the season we usually do have seasoned pro bowl team we'll probably do that a couple weeks that'll be a good bye week topic I think. Since the patron level by a week after week nine after the of the colts and will save our you know mid season pro bowl voting probably for that particular week. But right now just because it's the start of pro bowl balloting I want you to give me your top three on both sides of the football. Who is most deserving based on what you've seen -- what you read it. What you've heard. Web radio -- patriots dot com. To fire off your email and let me know that's today's topic you can also phone in your results 5 wait 5437482585437482. Today it was also the trading deadline in the NFL occasion more aware."
[27:26]" On the Tampa Bay Bucs in the Kansas City Chiefs -- to deal the bucks got Michael Bennett from the chiefs four in undisclosed draft pick. But that's truly beaten where that boils down so and that's really the only deal looks that I have seen thus far the trading deadline though is not for another approximately 90 minutes 4 O'Clock eastern time today. But I did want to make you aware of that so. That's one deal that is gone down on the NFL today I don't know that we'll get anything to affect the patriots I would kind of tend to doubt it says that the that probably pretty happy with the that he that they are era as it currently formed of course you know I think a major topic of conversation this week is within -- patriots on the PUP physically unable to perform list it will actually return. I'm Richard Seymour Troy brown obviously to most notable on the patriots list quite frankly we're just not sure and we probably won't know more. Specifically until we see the team get out on the field for practice tomorrow as they get ready for the dolphins on Sunday. And if he's out on the practice billion deficit will always there's a shot. And the first injury report comes out well in their would be at least a shot but again."
[28:51]" Technically you can stand the PUP four open -- in three more weeks I -- by rule the way that it goes his teams have until November the sixth. To allow their PUP players to return to practice. And once pop player then begins practicing his team that has a three week window in which to evaluate him so. Richard -- or could stay on the PUP list until November the sixth. He doesn't have to come back he's just eligible to come back. So you don't see him. On the field this week it doesn't mean that he's going to be I -- and he's done for the rest of the year that does not mean that just means that you know he still not ready. And the patriots have three more weeks to decide. What to do with him and then if they decide they are going to activate him and they have three weeks to evaluate. So they wouldn't have to make a real roster move until thanksgiving. If you stretched it out and used every available day every amount every minute of time that you have available to you under the rules. -- you're pushing it to thanksgiving weekend. Before you have to make a roster call on a guy who's on the do you --"
[30:02]" So that's really where we are up by the way this the stat from the NFL is of the 32 teams in the league it. Only 15 of these teams have players currently on the PUP or non football injury list and just three teams have more than one player. Patriots being one of those three things. And there's there's still kick in the dog going to everybody. In at the great thing. Are the other thing that I'd like to bring up and Gary pointed out to me and I actually it printed out thanks to his -- minded. But the first time you urban call press him on a staffer that's exactly right fact is is that the -- New England Dallas game in case you had not seen this. It was the highest rated regular season game four at the NFL on CBS television since 1998. About that. Course we it's been most of last week talking about the fact that is just the fifth matchup ever between two teams that were as much as I don't know."
[31:09]" During the regular season just the fifth time that'd ever happen. But the patriots cowboys -- the highest rated it. Regular season game on any network in 2007 and the highest rated game on CBS since 1998. Game rating share peaked at 21 for rating and 36 parishioner in case you don't know what that means the 21 means that's products point 1% means basically one out of every five televisions in existence. One out of every five televisions in existence was watching New England and that. But 36 share means that basically three point six out of every ten TV's on. Were tuned into the game. So it's almost four outs almost two out of every five almost two out of every five televisions that were going on watching something we're watching. Patriots -- countless. So that's what the rating in the share means of the overall audience. That's what it -- on the average overnight household rating -- Was 18 and a half this is what the entire football game averaged out to right over the course of the what was almost four hours that it they were on the air it averaged out to an 18 point five rating and a 35 share. Which again means roughly."
[32:39]" One out of every five televisions in existence -- fraction under 20%. Was tuned in and it 35 shared means. That's three and a half out of every ten televisions that were on there. Plugged in and turned on were watching patriots and cowboys that's up 37%. From last year's comparable game which was Kansas City Pittsburgh in the in the same window window in the in the -- Television market in the country that are considered meter in the top markets in the country. On so it's the highest rating in metered markets for a regular season NFL on CB -- game since CBS three acquire the NFL in 1998. So CBS is real happy with the patriots in the cowboys in real happy. But the fact -- the patriots are dominant and I think history will show. And I think if foolproof and I would actually love to try to talk to someone who's in in network television may blessed Russell this on Thursday bustle back for me -- PM but. As he might have a I think that you might have some knowledge of this. Television ratings are always better in this league when there's a dominant team. They just -- For two reasons one people love a winner people like to -- good play and they know they're going to get good play they're going to watch the team because it's entertaining. That's number one number two people -- winner. People want to see Goliath go down they want to see the -- the latest David who's going to take a shot with a slingshot in in in slay Goliath. It's a win win for the television people because hey -- there bandwagon fan any one of the favorites to win. Or beat you hate the patriots -- you think they win too much and you want to see him go down to go down hard."
[34:25]" lite television wins. But and end and I think history will bear that out."
[34:32]" As a TV loves the pets right now. And you had you know the the new millennium is America's team. Facing the 20 century's America's team on the football field this last Sunday and -- That's what you basically. And while I think that the cowboys in -- certain faction of the cowboys in and they're in their particular organization in tandem around the NFL will always -- cowboy fans. Just because they've established the fact that they're America's team back from when -- tram. You gave on the monitor back in the 1980s and you know obviously there -- a lot of people were old habits are die and it's just you know it's a marketing ploy that. Everybody else wishes they had thought of the cowboys just came up with a first. The cowboys were popular team back then when you had -- an American Rogers -- back of the quarterback and so they just had that Monica for awhile but you know obvious the patriots sort of stole that away from them based on the whole. You know 2001 season in the in the 911 tragedy in everything else. Patriots a kind of stolen away the cowboys over the course last six or seven years. And maybe maybe spike -- hated it a little bit. But there's no arguing the fact that this is a is is eight. A talented team like few others have probably ever been in the history of the NFL and I really don't think that's overstating it. I don't think that's just hyperbole I but I -- I think you've got to be able to look at it with your own eyes and be able to tell that's the case. So that's where we are that's where we stand. Calm trying to bring it to a little bit on the PUP the television ratings -- off over the patriots there up from the NFL overall thanks in large part to the patriots in the cowboys this last week. And you've got the poor what was me Miami Dolphins waiting in the wings on Sunday and -- six Miami team that can't get out of its own way. Don't have a quarterback. Ronnie brown simply run the football pretty well but that may be the only thing or what I don't understand is is -- the Miami the pins on our time and it's one of things that -- that -- spend some time jumping into this week. Just why. Our Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas in an incumbent wire they having a hard time stopping people on that side of the ball when they've. Always had one of the tougher defense is especially for the patriots to cooperative. Got to spend some time talking but -- quite frankly I I'm is perplexed as you -- that's concern. That's that's a little -- a little disconcerting let's get some emails or take a break when it's more emails must -- Brian Lowe from patriots that is going to join us as he usually does in our number two -- part of and we want to go here again we go down on the bottom of the list. Picking up some from yesterday. When you're that far."
[37:19]" Okay Wilson willow will startup problems with the equipment that will never give some emails like I said never fear though right because. Part of the year is that that we do beat them all -- I'll always. -- let's get to bottom. Hewitt this can come from all David in Portsmouth. Who says he's Robles elections are Brady moss willful. Didn't add much more but at least the added that certainly brilliant Milosevic would be given Wilfork -- on the other side of the football. But you get to the defense picks -- one other offensive picked -- it'll stop there at that stop this one comes from at least in Tampa. Says John since we are in the spoiled and complaint Tuesday. I want to ask what you've taken place where barber should tackle in the end zone for a safety was it just is merit or did bad directly affect patriots -- good question please I think this combination of both. Yeah I think the patriots had 23 shots at him in the end zone probably should've brought him down. But I also think that's the kind of back that Marion Marbury is he's just not easy to put down. I think what I really respected even though -- a patriots then you probably don't like it I'm sure that this player in like with a stiff -- he gave Rodney Harrison certainly broader jolt. Since the jolt threw me."
[38:42]" And you know I think that is kind of shows you what kind of guy -- tees off. Hard -- talented football player. And it's hard for me to believe that for at least a year he and Lawrence Maroney when the same backfield for the Minnesota golden gophers. Why wasn't that team better than it was. I'm surprised he made the Big Ten to tack those guys are only kept getting hurt I guess that must have been. No kidding got. But the sort of runs to one distinct. What number to see where by the way I forgot."
[39:17]" Seem to be prevalent opinion. Davidson's another one here from -- Mankins Thomas Samuel what are we going to do this team any -- at a time David. Thanks -- Tom Mankins -- terms of his other horrible topics I appreciate that this comes from Jimmy. Who says all right on the fan I've got green -- say now. On offense Brady moss Welker."
[39:46]" Well as far as offense is concerned I think I would agree with you right now although I just don't know Welker. If I had to make the cut I don't know that Welker. You know god I love him I think he's an unbelievable player I don't know that Welker is if I'm forced to make a cut -- only choose three. I think I'm putting Welker aside for a moment in keeping moss. And I think I'm including and maybe you'll find this somewhat controversial I think I'm including Matt light."
[40:17]" I realized that he's been somewhat maligned in his career but I that you have an outstanding year a tackle and -- right now I think that there needs to be some symbol. Of improved play representing from the patriots offensive line don't think like is as good as an Jason in Panama City, Florida -- can't say -- Thomas Wilfork."
[40:40]" Offense light Brady moss -- ago Jason degrees. Park the deepest it picks I'd have to say yeah I would agree with the I'd go sale Thomas and -- although I think I might consider a Sunday Samuel -- sale because I think it's on now is rounding back into shape I think. You know it's not to got screwed last year personally. You know with the antics. Hard to argue gives Judy right now what he's done the last couple weeks especially you know -- 373868 whatever however Lee is. On Thomas in -- I definitely would I would definitely say that came. And I would also have to throw in there's a possibility Ty Warren again as a -- Taiwan's learning how to become a one man wrecking crew. Say all the candidates all the candidates but I'm asking you to pick three. Make a cut him -- three on both sides of the football you know who you think are most deserving most worthy. As probable nominations you know from this patriots team right now Charlie from chicken pieces the offense has numerous candidates Tom Brady and Randy moss are no brainer. Wes Welker is a good candidate but I am going to go with a road greater Logan Mankins. He could also mundane -- but since he is missed game I'm gonna go one of the bat boys -- Tom calls them who's been keeping Tom -- hitting all the toys Scott -- bill gave him this year. -- Charlie that's the choice Megan's I think could also be I think he could certainly be a choice and I know he's a pro bowl caliber player so you know Mankins is fine -- is selection my personal preference would be light but -- would be fun and I agree with your cinemanow world that somebody from the line deserves to go Charlie has -- the women go big events we play several games -- the strategy of stopping the run was seven in the box and you cannot do that without big events. Then I'll go -- Mike -- able totally -- they've mislabeled as a dirty player and for the last slot a tough call but I'm going with Ty Warren. On the rationale that he should have made the team last year and that's how most of the world slicks pro ball players. A year after they deserve it surely that's an excellent email. Cannot disagree with your choices I don't think there -- any. Wrong answers here there's just you know it's based on your opinion and what you perceive thus far of this bubble teams there's no wrong answers but journalists particularly good team so thank you -- want you to chime in as well web radio at patriots dot com. Give me right now three on offense three on defects from the knowing the -- who was most deserving to go to the probable. Global voting is open on on -- in well one of these years will write him in and getting some votes if you so choose. Busy noisy act but the colts still human you know. -- I have no idea I'm sure I don't have the slightest idea well don't expect that you would -- but maybe somebody will emails and analysts note that at any rate. Three on offense three on -- make tough choices here folks. You can certainly go vote on an -- on NFL dot com as the probable voting is open an available. But you know this has been one of the chief complaints from many of you fans with a probable results are announced talk on the patriots get snubbed. Why are we not getting any national respect one now is your chance to get that national respect you have a role you have a say. We're going to disgusted here right here inside the play."
[44:38]" A line midsize Hungary. The awesome offensive season Gillette stadium as your -- papal -- home. Tackle that appetite with the patriots gridiron -- sack sausages forced out -- of patriots brought -- Wide variety of --"

[45:16]" Gridiron drillers."

[46:35]" Playoff action is back in Foxborough once again. You're New England Revolution and advanced to the MLS playoffs and are looking for a return trip to MLS. [47:40]" If you can't talk about these long touchdown pass to Donte' Stallworth look. Look like you do what you do not coming out yeah. Barrett but I don't know LME's figure out."
[47:55]" That was up post game obviously after the you know win over the cowboys on Sunday with Tom Brady and the questioner by the way I believe is a producer from the mid day program on KT CK the ticket. 13 ten in Dallas would choose other operated station and they'd they'd do a a bit a comedy bit at least I guess they think it's funny there where their producer asks him goof ball question just to see what kind of rise they can get out of the people they asked the questions up."
[48:27]" These long touchdown pass to Donte' Stallworth look like you do what do they do not. Yeah I was doing. Barrett I don't know they'll let me do it."
[48:39]" In order means what you are at that spot."
[48:46]" is that what we're doing for humor and on Dallas a little disappointed in my home state of that the case and I asked Phil a question -- said next via an. Which is the way it should have been handled me you know but -- the kind of guy -- you know you'd probably get at least a half a rise out of him on the one you know that that's more -- you know personality but you know he didn't fall for you know calm and then obviously you -- the Bill Belichick was going to fall for a so on the that's what that -- zone. That's anyway what that whole deal was all ballot -- that with the it was somewhat amusing anyway in the aftermath of of the game on them. On Sunday through continued here and -- patriots playbook on a Tuesday. Web radio at patriots dot com you Regis I'm looking for you'll run well three weeks six and looking for your top three. On offense and the fans pro bowl selection the patriots with global voting is open on Manitoba count as of this week. And because this has long been a sore spot in the patriots fans and a lot of patriots fans feel that this is where the football team has just been undervalued. And under represented. In recent time this is your chance now to make your voice Byrd. But I want you to make it tough cut now which you choose three on both sides that the ball was most deserving of being a pro bowl caliber player. In your mind in your -- estimation after this juggernaut six weeks. Any chance other players around the league don't vote for patriots because of -- it sure I think -- I think it's very plus. I think it's a great question. You know I and I think it's something that. Undoubtedly will happen I I think that there will definitely would be some sort of a a pay back now I don't know to what extent there might be a couple of guys that you know it would leave a borderline guy off. But I I think a -- I think there's a lot of mutual respect on the field view for players. You know and I think that that the players that really stand out are respected regardless of what you know coaching staff -- off the stamps do. Like for instance I think in -- obviously there's -- respect around league for for a guy like Randy moss. I think Wes Welker is still earning his respect but I think that the respect as universal for a guy like Tom Brady"
[51:08]" I think there's universal respect for a guy like junior sell probably it is probable quickly becoming that way for a guy like today it was Thomas. Tedy Bruschi because it could Paula category because of what he's overcome to get back onto the football field."
[51:23]" You know but. Could a guy that hasn't made the pro bowl yet."
[51:28]" It's still relatively young in his career get caught in this this this PR staff blue -- guy like Ty Warren perfect example. He probably should -- made the team last year didn't. Southeast and probably should have made the team last year did not. Agassi those two guys being left off on some ballots and because of you know papers have enough good guys in the I'm not given him anymore because they cheat because of that that that kind of attitude. Not a right attitude understand that that's that's the attitude that a lot of people were going to give you. But that's legitimate thing and that's too bad that's why I'm glad that they spread it out that's what you as a fan. You know it can help try to counterbalance that at least to an extent. Calm obviously awful stuff the battle but boxed foods though I think you're allowed -- ten times -- and the like that Latin of Major League Baseball is like that. I don't know on the other to regular voted to be honest at least not probable. Calm but maybe on teams that do that. I want to read you something as well from what in my favor of the bulls at the chairman of you familiar with cold or football facts. All of -- a story on they're talking about the patriots dominance. Old role in the so appeared on the website originally on Sunday after the game was over but he case you haven't had a chance masterful -- I just wanted to hit a couple of highlights here because honestly it's if if it's rather impressive. You know the research that they've gone on in some of the comments that they put forward. And I think it's appropriate as we can talk about the pace that the patriots are on. On and the fact that you know if they lose this year quite frankly maybe because. They lose the game rather than the other team wins the game -- that off the top of the program there that you ago I don't -- of this line from anchorman. As Luke Wilson said after getting his good arm ripped off by outline in anchorman all god this is getting to be really got bleak ridiculous. And the only thing. Yeah of that at least on he says here on now on this ours -- the patriots -- not -- ridiculous now. On their off the charts in the cold hard football -- always enjoy watching the pursuit of history. As it stands now the patriots are on pace to break the all time record for. Wins 16 currently 15 by three teams. Points 613 currently the record 556 but 1998 vikings. Point differential 23 points per game it's currently the record is 19 point eight. By the 1962 -- Packers. About that. -- people like 20 point per game right now and the record 19 point eight minus 62 Packers. They didn't think the team from that era had that kind of dominance well I'm telling you Packers of the 60s. They did. Touchdown passes 56 currently. The record 51 of the 2004 cults obviously know Peyton Manning had what 49 of those and yes Tom Brady would be on pace to smash or to at least break Manning's personal record night. Can't imagine newspapers and out that it wouldn't be rooting for him to do that. For all the hype that Peyton Manning is head and a lot of it deserved he's very good. He's easily one of the best quarterbacks in the game he always has been on the from the time -- step on the field he said different weapons to throw to the Brady is -- Before this year. And now that you see when these two quarterbacks have comparable. Weapons around them well. They discussed goes to show you that comes every bit quarterback did that Peyton Manning is and that's no disrespect Payton man. Just that Tom Brady hasn't gotten the respect because he has an and the talent. He has had the same type of targets that the -- to. Now he does and I you're seeing what he can do it. -- and the other record the papers could break touchdowns in the season 77 of them as what they're on pace to score this year the record is 70 but the 1984 Miami Dolphins. So pretty good list bunch of other lesser ones according to cool probable -- that they are on pace to break. But that's a pretty good leagues they want to say here that new England's win over Dallas erased all shred of doubt doubt we had last week because of new -- easy schedule. And again misses culpable -- not many. Of doing as he's schedule that we are witnessing one of the special teams of all time. One of our favorite NFL books that he Epstein dominance. Which try to establish that by statistical method the 12 most dominant teams in modern history which would be from 1950 to the present. Epstein teams in fact I've had a chance of you have ideas Penry -- or he's brilliant guy. -- books I did not re read all of dominant but I've I've seen part in this comes from his book as well as his experience teams had to be champions in their given season. Some in the patriots are far from achieving is we'll know and they also but he obviously did happen and otherwise they had to show dominance all across the board so again even be on FBI's list you had to win a championship be really good team. But he should you be considered a dominant team if you don't want -- title I don't think you should. You can be a team without winning a title by the to be a dominant team you've got to win. And winning a Super Bowl what it's all about in the NFL so here's Epstein list in chronological order came from 1950 and now of the most dominant teams in NFL history you read it this. I would forgive me if you -- read it but I think it's good stuff this is love this. Right that the first team with a 1955 Cleveland Browns they went 92 and one. -- a point differential of about 11 points per game beating their opponent on and they out gain their opponent by 94 yards per game doesn't sound like much by today's standards does. But by 1955 standards that was pretty significant. The 1958 of Baltimore colts follow. They finished your nine and three they -- each game by about 15 points per game -- gain each team by about a 105 yards total offense. The 1962 Green Bay Packers in my estimation one -- the most dominant teams of all time. And this is John -- speaking. I'm not necessarily pro cold -- football facts or. Eddie Epstein but you know I think the 62 Packers rank right up there with also the 66 Packers that who did not make this list. -- but the 60 gene -- finished 13 and one. They outscored their opponents by 20 points per game I'll gain their opponents by a 108 yards per game. While that with a 1971 Dallas Cowboys who finished 11 in. 313 point one points per game they outscored and a 112 yards per game they out game. In 1972 dolphins you know had to be on the team had to be on this list is the only team to go undefeated 14 in -- in the regular season. They outscored their opponents by 15 point three points per game that year. And the -- gain their opponents by a 124 point two. Yards per game."
[58:51]" Now compare the 72 dolphins with another of the all time dominant teams in my estimation. Maybe yours too because maybe this is when you start really paying attention maybe this team will be familiar to you the 1979 Pittsburgh Steelers. Sort of the epitome of all those great steeler teams of the 1970s but I -- 19 belongs of there was some of the most dominant of all time. And yet they were only 12 and four in the regular season. They only outscored their opponents by a fraction under ten points per game although they did outs -- out gain in their opponents. By a record high -- a 124 point three yards per game."
[59:30]" Nobody else's gain their opponents by more than the 79 Steelers. Today so this again this is for your own edification just give you a sense of what we're talking about here the 1985 bears are on the list but finished 15 and one. Outscored their opponents by 16 points per game -- gain their opponents by a 106 yards. The 1989 San Francisco 49ers on the list again. Representative of some great 49ers teams of the 1980s but the 89 team probably at the top. The list they were 14 into outscored their opponents 12 points per game a gain their opponents a 103 yards per game. Get doesn't sound overwhelming does. The 1991 Redskins -- on the list 14 into 16 points per game 90 yards per game. -- 94 49ers on this team. No Dallas Cowboys team in the 1990s made this list by the way. Even though they're considered sometimes the decades team because of the Super Bowl titles but they're not necessarily considered one of the most dominant. According to Eddie Epstein -- 94 49ers 13 and 313 points 76 yards 96 Green Bay Packers team of course patriots lost to a Super Bowl. 13 three record 15 points per game 86 yards per game. And then in 99. St. Louis Rams 13 and 317 point eight points per game a 107 yards per game. So where does this New England team then stack up. With the NFL's most dominant teams of all time according to Eddie Epstein here's where we go. Right now they project to 16 you know nobody's ever done that the exception of the 72 dolphins at 14. Outscored their opponents by 23 points per game. Which would by far away best the top Mark of 19 point eight by the 62 Packers. And they -- out gaining their opponents again this is projected out based on the path that thereon right now this is projected out over 16 games. Patriots out gaining their opponents by a 174 point five yards per game that is 50 yards more. Per game in the 79 Steelers who currently hold the record."
[1:01:57]" Those -- all time great numbers -- all time great numbers that's greater than all time great. In every category. So I didn't come on the program today just you know shouting hyperbole that you tell -- that you probably didn't already know. What I'm given you some numbers to kind of acted up with a little -- especially when you can take this to the water cooler to impress your friends and you know. -- before you like for whatever. Where your husband whoever the non football -- your family. He just you know course you can now these numbers though I think the Patriot Act for them to lose so show up. To be careful how you use it right. Did he -- values but I'm I'm given you some good -- here right now let's just say for instance and this is what I love about -- global pact let's just say. That the patriots fall off a little but the rest okay let's say they lose two games. All right let's just say inexplicably they lose two games."
[1:03:01]" They're numbers. Even if they lose two games could still hang with the all time greats this is what is projected -- Let's say they lose two games they have their current level of dominance in points in yardage than the final numbers and that scenario would be. 14 into. Game which would certainly be behind the 15 wins by the by the bears all time. But they would still outscored opponents by 15 point eight points per game. Which would be one -- two"
[1:03:32]" 34 that would be fifth best in point differential that will be fifth best. And that would out in their opponents by a hundred in 19 point eight yards per game again is is having things are right having things from here on out. They would still out gain their opponents by 119 point eight per game which would be the third best all time yard differential total. In NFL history. -- championship teams. So it's still an all time great team. Probably even if they go 14 -- probably still overall a top five team all time."
[1:04:10]" And that's even figuring the patriots into as they quality ten games slump. Over the next ten games the final ten games of the regular season no words were taken the numbers they have right now. We're projecting at -- over 60 games were cut in half and then averaging or adding together and then totaling it. And then averaging an out and so it's a ten game slump does that or putting the patriots in their numbers still probably project amount to a top five team. All time."
[1:04:40]" I -- NL again how great is this football season. If -- pat that you ought to be just giddy beyond belief beyond delight right now. That's that's remarkable it's an all time great football team is what. You're looking here -- doing. Thanks -- cold hard football -- and thanks to Eddie Epstein for providing the of the research and the numbers on on that particular scenario because I when I saw that I am like. Oh my goodness. That really hits home. That really shows it to the -- black and white what it's all about."
[1:05:16]" I think that significant. Remarkably significant. Web radio act patriots dot com if you like comment on that you certainly can do so. On what to think about those numbers in those projections. You know and and and honestly I you know will add this to our our email topic of the day on on probable players but arm. I talent take that a step further here in our number two the program today. What is. Your most familiar dominant team I know many football phase you go way back you maybe go ten years you -- 20 maybe you goes for back as I do 40 years. In trying to really follow NFL global. What's the most dominant team you remember in any single year."
[1:06:02]" Now for me the one that I really remember the most in terms of dominance the 70 ninth Steelers. And it's because as many of you know from listening to the program I grew up Dallas Cowboys. -- born and raised for Texas oh. Honestly in on -- dilemma cowboy fan except when they took my nephew text to be by the way he's a freshman in high school. But in Fort Worth and he's a huge football fan place a high school global and baseball and he. Text in the and he knows that you know I've it was a big cowboy fan as my whole family still is but. You know -- families also patriots fans -- simply because of the patriots Richard because they know I work for the patriots last 15 years. So you'd have to say the cowboys that patron for their top two favorite -- he's in the attacks before the game on Sunday a ghost who you root for."
[1:06:50]" And it's sitting back. Two words in my text."
[1:06:54]" Any idea Gary what those two words might have been."
[1:06:58]" If you -- that's what -- acknowledgment of you as much my my two word response was my paycheck. I"
[1:07:10]" going to -- takes me back with another two -- response good answer. So I think my family was certainly rooting for the cowboys I can't blame him for doing that but I don't think anybody was crushed to see the patriots win because the patriots are definitely -- second favorite team an -- and in when the patriots -- oh win championships they know that I'm going to send him Super Bowl here so there really thrilled about that. In the pro shop don't always also it's -- about that so because it's in my whole family. Patriots things and that the only people have it down there in four -- Texas so there. Bomb but what -- but the cowboys. What that play the cowboys in Super Bowl. That I is that going to want that here. Probably not act as Robin where the cowboys NFC titles that -- that with the patriots of doubles -- all of well I think the other problem warm up to. Probably warmup just because you know they're that already that they're already it is the sort of the of the of the of the street Texans anyway that that we patriots to support. You root for the baker you -- My nephews -- expert on my uncle worked for the patriots well okay you don't like the patriots do kind of they win. What little kid you know doesn't like the follow winner. -- every 101112 year old kid I know the bandwagon fan like to follow winners. My son all my nephews my nieces Andy -- you know oh patriots yeah they win considerable. Yeah let's let's let's let's root for them went like them don't for the duplicates -- arm. Are excellent addition to emails and we'll get a few more of them here again on your -- pro bowl picks for the patriots three offense three defense that's -- looking for -- What's the most dominant football team you can remember. If you can remember follow in the NFL during your time as an -- in as I said mine is seven and I Steelers and why because they were the nemesis for the cowboys. I really that the Dallas Cowboys had a very good football teams in 97 it was Super Bowl 72 there was Super Bowl 77."
[1:09:10]" And yet they don't get credit for being quote unquote 70s team because the fact that the the Steelers won four. In the decade and capped off by that team in 1979 the beat the rams and that's Super Bowl -- that very well but it -- that they were representative of that entire decade for the Steelers. And so I'd have to say that the seven and Steelers probably epitomized in the what. You know dominance was in the NFL during my younger days. Com I personally believe in the 62 Packers one of the most dominant teams double time. The numbers that I just gave you will certainly bear that out there certainly you know. Even in today's day and days they still rank you know in the top five to ten of all time great teams. -- this is really no. The only way that you can compare. Teams from different decades in different -- is by doing the statistical comparison obviously you can't. Compare 240 pound lineman against the 300 pound lineman on the offensive side of the ball like we have today. You can't do it would be physical mismatch gamble. But you can compare these teams statistically speaking based on the relative universe which they competed during their time. And this is how you do with stats and that's why elected book by -- Epstein called dominance because. Well it -- spells it out not only in the NFL look for a lot of other sports too -- yet -- the book get a chance theater and it's it's it's great -- up on Amazon. What are we want to do -- calm. So the Steelers come to mind to me as being a a dominant team. One of the most dominant teams that I can article what about you. Web radio at patriots dot com lets you reaches of the program -- at all will see what she got here -- get about 45 minutes left the program here for Tuesday I'd really be interested to know who you recollect as a dominant. Football team and again the the the well the criteria has they would they had a won a championship. -- has to be a championship team in order to truly be considered it. Dominant you can be a good team without going to -- he can't be a dominant team without winning that just. That's mandatory I just don't think there's any gray area where that's concerned."
[1:11:24]" So give me one I know you got one. If it's the -- great -- let's talk about it. Web radio act patriots dot com by the -- 5437482 at the telephone number. And of course here. Probable picks them both sides of the football. I'm looking for all let's get a couple more of those Wednesday this comes from."
[1:11:50]" Moments or actually that's -- team built that's an email that the talk of a court football thanks good good stuff. There's going -- from Mike in -- venues as he got a put back the signal from bills in have you won 56 into with a guy from down under a thing as bill about the boys from being town treating the boys from big the a couple of -- girls on -- In Jews. Oh is that the is that this too we have built response to that -- have the question. Nevermind that and then he says. That's an interesting stats they passed along here. This comes from. Gregg Rosenthal legacy as a blogger columnist and he says here mentioned this in goal line stand now armed with -- numbers patriots just aren't predictable with personal use enough. Call someone a designated Golan back below the goal line carries on the first three weeks in New England when Maroney was healthy. When he was healthy mora got four carries two touchdowns are only two carries no touchdowns Heath Evans -- But it looked a little further and include carries inside the ten. We get this Sammy Morris five carries two TDs Moroni six carries no TDs Evans four carries one TD. Morse is involvement appears to pick up near the goal line. But it's not like -- is getting chances are these numbers would look a little better if you didn't come of one yards short on a seven yard run in the eight yard and we three remember that. Number he's inability to score is a concern last year he went three for eight inside the five yard line Corey Dillon went nine for 14. The point here though is that Mulroney is likely to continue getting the same amount of chances as Morris. Patriots don't like being predictable and they won't have they designated goal line back. Pretty good actually like that Mike thank you pass that along. Com personal going to get Laurence Maroney healthy getting out on the football field. An August or some doubt as to whether or not that's actually going to happen on any time soon Diane in Bridgeport, Connecticut oh going to go back down toward the the list here says. Guys given the physical health of the team's running back what is likely the Corey Dillon -- come back and play some. Neil Neal you know it's not going to happen I think you've seen that even with. -- being down and whether or not Sammy Morrissey is able to to come back at all bomb. I think you may realize that quite honestly the patriots are pretty good shape. -- fact is that Kevin fall came -- rushed for 50 yards. You know that's why they when they signed Kyle tackle because they knew they could the problem -- somebody of the current quality that they need they need a tough new between the tackles kind of -- oh. Running back and that's the kind of thing that ankle can give them and they also have Heath Evans that can do basically the same thing that that that Corey Dillon did you know from short yardage distance he didn't have the ability to get around the end like Corey did. But Evans is. Fairly tough it -- to bring them. So I think between you know is -- doesn't come back for another week I think between having more asphalt. Evans and tackle I -- is slim to none and slim just left -- calm. This one comes from. We in the question Jerry is in an email question to calm. Steve we -- here Mike from Columbus, Ohio as his was watching highlights of the game in the play were Brady was strip sack. Sure looked like he could have been another instance. Of the tuck rule he wanted to throw on three step drop pumped to throw would stop the motion and got hit from behind and lost the ball at no time did he pull the ball into his body. Was that an officiating error that could've been challenged as the tuck will that officially dumped on officially dumped. Says the controversy can't remember any of the talk -- calls -- that well to me. Watching the highlights and watching -- play Mike he never pull the ball in. And the the argument in the tuck -- was that he pulled the ball in. So the ball was coming down like it was coming back in but the ball got tipped away from behind as I recall the replant. So he never broader all the way in. Com it might have been a matter of -- Millimeters between what transpired on Sunday and what transpired in 2001. But suffice to say I think the ball came loose this past Sunday -- well before it did on the play. On in 2001 because I believe he brought the ball down and if not touched the ball had the ball hit the ball that summit before the ball came loose as I recall. Mike says of the Dallas morning news blog during the game pointed to the Dallas offense attacking Rodney Harrison and coverage. The way they put it was look for Rodney Harrison and throw to whoever he's covering."
[1:16:49]" You see Hairston -- is a liability on porter's you'd rusty coming out of action for weeks. He's rusty forming out of action number one number two his primary responsibility is to pick up in receivers coming across the middle and at. If responsibility a lot of instances is to cover. Jason -- And your estimate I think kept the the debate did pretty good job on --"
[1:17:12]" With a limited to three for grabs and you know have the stats and economy but they did pretty good job in limiting him. So I don't really have I don't really have a problem with the without -- Perform my guess is they probably thought that. Because of the mismatch number one physically a number two because of the fact that that he was getting you know his first appreciable playing time of the year shall wanna go for something that could be perceived at. To be a weakness. I don't disagree that philosophy at all to be quite honest with. All right let's see what -- we have here we have Philip but nova Scotia. Besides the obvious reasons why the dolphins such a bad team is it bad ownership bad luck for drafting trading went to their troubles began in what you think you might end. I've heard people say that began with Ricky Williams it has been all downhill from there I'm not complaining that they -- just curious why."
[1:18:01]" While I think -- probably delve into this a little bit more over the course of the week we don't normally do that on Tuesday's but just -- without my head I think it's because number one the that a change in in coaches several times the last few years obviously they had. All right and then -- I'm losing my train of thought here who was with a last year -- nick thank you thank you Nixon. It makes him -- bail on him after only a couple of years to go to Alabama. Balls so the brought in cam Cameron who hadn't been a head coach com so you know I just. You know they had the added Dave wannstedt before that that it's quite a bit eternal. Well in the last several years meantime we have turn over to meet you turn over all seniors distance in the players that have actually been there for awhile -- learning a completely different systems so. I I think turnover has hurt the dolphins that's number one. On number two they haven't had a good quarterback. That is flat out have not had a good quarterback they try to get one leisure Trent green and he probably. He may never step on the football field again you've got to have a good quarterback to be a good team. -- to have some consistency there. You know I think Joey Harrington -- an okay quarterback he's not a good quarterback Daunte Culpepper was hurt. I still even so even well I think he's a good quarterback I don't think he's a great quarterback. So you know they haven't had a great quarterbacks -- Dan Marino. Anomaly anybody will really argue that point. And I think number three defensively I think some of their their stand -- players are beginning to wear a pair -- little bit I Jason Taylor still want the best defenders in the league. But I think Zach Thomas is beginning to wear down court he'll probably come up with a huge game this Sunday but. I just think it's a combination of of those little things have transpired in to make in the team you know one big cluster bleak right now. That's kind of look at the dolphins demise in again we will look we will spend some time you know looking at that throughout the course of the week. Specifically definitely."
[1:20:04]" All in -- Dog you take us to beat this team on. What he's definitely not -- let's not realize where were referring to the eagles. And I realized. And -- Brian -- compatriots today obviously busy that what you were going to which was busy to work -- we're -- with Christina. I am actually -- excuse you for -- utility about today's -- I don't care. But it it's army -- engaged with Christine in in in hot chitchat. Then I'm -- normal for. In ivy chat and and then I'm saying that it and that until you get out of here wire you know when you write like it. I'm why -- oh well there's room for ball was -- there's room for. And balls in the -- okay -- balls and now cheerleader chit chat that I. What are we bringing that back by the way -- making a comeback. That's so quickly but gets the glory night I think part of your depth it would. She's going to be careful what -- you know cute and I'd give these things blown way out of -- gigantic a little while. The great getting more. It now -- okay thanks. All that that is what the -- Greenberg from Miami oh yes -- all I did not -- opponent all right through or we we did talk about the trading that little bit earlier and so that apparently is just now braking that the San Diego Chargers are picking up Chris chambers from Miami."
[1:21:50]" It is now it now do we take that to me obviously the chargers are new to wide receivers I think we've we've known that that's definitely a weakness right and to receive this is this I don't know it what you Chris chambers contract status was abuse. You know to be free agent is now like it's like baseball where. You know if you're a bad team. And your upcoming free agent your -- getting traded not quite like that football but. You know is this just assign -- the dolphins are Sampras."
[1:22:13]" Oh wait for -- to a faraway look purely in the white flag and I mean you know chambers a pretty -- what she pressure what they currently get for them but here's the bulletin from ESPN's as San Diego looking for more offensive firepower acquire Chris chambers from the dolphins according to John Clayton. Terms of the deal not immediately known but I dolphins chargers are expected to make the announcement before the deadline in approximately 34 minutes at 4 O'Clock eastern time talked about that in the opening our chambers scored made the pro -- in 5 held what has been held without a touchdown in 2007 so far but the wind was dolphins 405 career receptions with 43 touchdowns for almost a decent year so they don't say just yet well what the chargers would be giving up."
[1:22:58]" So patriots miss out Chris chambers they didn't seem when used when -- played in Diego and it won't be seeing him as they -- him. And -- mean maybe guys you know dolphins scored ten points and that. While while the gotta wonder what that's all about. And your -- on that day you're on the dolphins situation like before we found this -- a cluster -- cluster -- so. That has changed in the last five minutes we opened up today below by basically just talk a little bit about the if you touchdown on Sunday. Which show which I got a particular could kick out of the eagles Simmons commonly used in the com. And and really was and I said they take that further than the cowboy game was the if you game."
[1:23:41]" Yeah I think in a lot of ways you know that the patriots are pretty good about keeping them out from -- Saturday. And got things last week like it the Terrell Owens no the wade Phillips. Alleged comments you're not you're the patriots -- about them until about 730 Sunday night. I went to Iraq when I cycle goes over -- along with 19 seconds left when there wasn't a popcorn -- left in Texas a -- the patriots and it'll probably hit it but but I think I think this was definitely game that. Quietly as the media it is the week leading up to it. The patriots were targeting this game. Statement game elect shut up those guys from Dallas kinda game and we know that -- How much you know they were public who -- that was then during the week but you need to know with the popcorn there was a lot of pop and that was the -- for it to popcorn ready for major they had their popcorn much more ready and it it guys are getting -- them eating popcorn in the it is not that eating eating eating popcorn and not good not not the of the Kyle localized you know touchdown and a promotional drive. I was in the bowels but that stadium he actually the only he'd -- it was Europe's. And a few other reporters also -- that predicament was in a little -- that was actually the mascots sort of I guess you call locker room. Well when the doors opening and from reporters were looked at UB. And an -- and then. That's got one on -- When into the room closed door. We -- left on TV and watch the finals now the final suspenseful moments job cleaning itself is if you tell but I I am aware of of out of the after you touchdown and all that. You know. First -- all. It is the pros and I never needed because I've never been in the locker room as a player or coach. You know all the etiquette all that you don't you mean is it better -- taken the standard you know on the ball obviously field goal would have been. You know even worse because -- like you know we really are -- at least run -- like art you know you know it is a run for no gain for a lot of the field goal. The one you're like that's putting points on the board. I don't have much -- I mean it's the pros you're trying to score he got a running back in the air you know his first career touchdown don't have much problem with it. I don't know how to report on the cowboys really -- it was so early in the game it wasn't like you know the opportunity to get back in the air you know like that I don't know I mean what what's your take on."
[1:26:13]" I just type I actually think that that big what it was it was an emphasis that they wanted to of the wanted to put on the point that wanted to -- point the whole game. As they they just used that you know singular moment as the exclamation point."
[1:26:26]" In the sense that. In in the sense that the question did you go to points to secure and of course absolutely not so in that sense it was it was not a close tight team where they felt you know what well we do the math here is 19 seconds left well now the cowboys could -- it was a it was a message via incentives it was -- it was a -- and I don't think. You know I certainly didn't realize as the week was going on as a -- while ago. On just how much. The patriots once used his game a statement game but we got a sense once -- I think they they definitely not a were a little you know you know. Take that some of the things that the the cowboys are --"
[1:27:08]" will bring you details of the Chris chambers so moving on to San Diego -- made available to us both prior to 4 PM eastern time in the meantime. I don't know if you saw this item that actually appeared yesterday but to Trent green. Of the Miami Dolphins are set on his on radio show on -- WQAM in Miami yesterday that he'll play again his quote was right now my mindset is to come back and play everything has been real positive up to this point. That is given me great reassurance to give -- my family great reassurance. Course that again the concussion that he was diagnosed to have was the -- what was severe type that yeah if I had so I don't understand the lighting is maybe his brain is still rattled he's been sidelined of course since last week of October the seventh oh win them he is undergone tests since then and both Kansas City and -- south Florida bases everything turned out normal. I wasn't having any symptoms in terms of dizziness or headaches for memory loss of balance and problems or sensitivity to light things that are associated with concussion."
[1:28:11]" Zone -- saw this line somewhere at the best sign that he is has no ill effects. On his -- is if he does decide to retire because then he's making a smart move I don't think in any sense for a comeback you know for a for a lot of reasons number one is the state -- tell you we know it means that who extremely publicized. Brutal concussion the last 13 months what it would break one last year and who knows how many others he had with these two were pretty bad and you know 37 it's easy for me -- it is worth it. To come back 26 team that that's got no no you pretty much no hope for this year on your coach. Is already thinking at the fact that he might not put in the if you come back out of you know I've precautionary reasons personal health I mean. Doesn't seem from my point and I think from you know you know from the vantage point for second round pick Chris -- there it is a unit of coaching you know is -- going to go back to a team -- that you're right you -- give -- away back when it's exit -- it pretty good but. You know just. Losing all their offensive skill position players you know just doesn't make sense from them that I hope and I think smart move would be. Call it a career and not a bad one at that opera you know that -- play last week where he got the you know the concussion was. Both lucky it was you know if we'll keep it wasn't what you think about court asking cautions. By either you know running with the ball in diving head first foolishly or getting getting smacked in the head in the ground and this was the quarterback going for block."
[1:29:48]" Whether it was a stupid foolish dirty player to separate topic but. You know he's -- things can happen too much for respite I don't think you combat it. -- mature older you know as most people would agree with you again the chargers getting Chris chambers from Miami in exchange for a second round draft. They're loaded up on the second round pick in exchange for wide receiver Wes Welker. You know coming here in the offseason got a second round pick and -- assume that was yet that was probably that your priority or used that's going to be. Two or three cigarette on the I don't know if they kept their own from the zone dogs in the one for well Welker was it the draft -- capitalizing on so this would be another sector -- again. You know the sad news bears -- matters in Miami especially when you consider over the you know going into. The 2006 he's in the high hopes you know second year -- you know they they'd be bringing Culpepper and there was reason for optimism there you know -- and Ryan -- is pretty good while it is gone down hill then and you know been a been a bit of a surprise and are they the worst is between Miami and saint Louis worst team in the NFL right now don't sixteens. I don't think if you -- Miami before this season it's not that question would be asked and we haven't. I don't so you know I'm sure -- keep up this game coming up this is their Super Bowl obviously why edited and had a team."
[1:31:14]" And I mention I mentioned off the top that you know regardless of of how old you think the patriot should be favored how much you think they should win by in this and that. I think history tells you that this is always been a tough game for the patriots to play I certainly would expect you know Sunday to really be no different although I think have been to the patriots will wear them down. I think it's pretty clear to see that a lot of teams have done that the Miami this year so -- I think the dolphins when the game on Sunday no I don't. But I would not be surprised if it stays closer than most people expect for an extended period of time in other words it wouldn't shock me disease that still be a game in the third quarter."
[1:31:48]" Absolutely I couldn't agree more because I still think that there are some I mean that the patriots offense as we talked about week in week out is far different. From any offense that they had under operating under Bill Belichick justice. And every time they played in the division opponents every time -- played in the they've already played you key. You can't. Make predictions on the team based on -- they've -- in the past on there are different ailment but. Miami still has it -- fence and some defensive players who have cars on the patriots offense. Including most definitely Matt light and Tom Brady more trouble than any other team. He still the fact that it. Out there offense. Doesn't -- the patriots and shouldn't odd but I can see it almost being as you know as the patriots war against you know buffalo Cleveland not necessarily blow -- team out. I'm in the first half and you're right I I think he could still be game but I think ultimately. You know it'll still be score wise it will be almost like this what would -- point point one point one point win. You know they they've they've lost what to the last three down -- three of their last five I think it is and -- pretty long losing streak dom you know under nine he's also Miami not a fun place on the play -- you know. So last year last December -- when he won nothing you know no one expected that"
[1:33:06]" in the opening now we talked a little bit about infect the tail end of first part of his salary as well fill in the last -- talk about how dominant patriots have been in use numbers that the -- football facts are provided and also a committee of stone's book dominance in -- even. The patriots -- on pace right now to beat perhaps the most dominant team -- I'm in NFL history if they keep up the current numbers. Even if you give -- a couple losses in half what they've done this point I'm an average it over the whole year they still end up as one of the top five teams double time that's how dominant. This patriot team has been to this point in time so what I wanted to do also Bryan -- his take a look at some of the individual accomplishments from this last week against the cowboys and at least talk about it in regards to you know where it ranks in patriots history as some of the individual -- isn't -- but -- question of the day email wise was because this is the opening day opening week of -- voting on an infield comes right I want you to pick. Three on offense and three on the -- and you can only pick three you can't it well that's why I -- it yet because -- Largely with a last few years fans complained this is where the patriots get snubbed. Improbable -- they give you you know I wanted fans to have a chance today to all right have your voice heard so. Through six weeks now who was most deserving -- all the -- tackler for right now yeah gulf while three office three defense well"
[1:34:27]" you know. The quarterback is the you know the quarterback is the preeminent obvious one and the wide receiver is you know is as well I think win or loss on its hard to lie you know for number three. And you know part of this which it -- do right now you know the -- analyze exactly the other candidates in the week you know wrong Sammy as you just did John you know. Come up with a rampant that in there with me here. How do you not think the player on the baker thought that's why how'd you know well that how do you not I would I mean I'm very."
[1:35:02]" for was some of the fans and and while I think the overall consensus here is to say Brady -- Welker. I'd left Welker off my list and I put on Matt light I had another email or come on let's say that the Logan Mankins does well."
[1:35:15]" Ago how do you not think I'm up and like you I'm not I am not smart enough and -- I'd -- not it's going to come down at the next segment what to do pinpoint. Which guy. -- on the offensive line is pro bowl -- at the expense of someone else. I think now like the great candidate odd he's got a against some guys who you know we we know that they've had trouble with past and and and and perform pretty well. I think Logan Mankins if you tight -- Bill -- And he has been asked about the this year in the past he -- Logan Mankins did the the most dependable consistent guys. On that team and what tocchet as a -- it's sort of fascinating comment. And a pretty streets at about all the makings and he said in the past as well you'd rather have a guy who sake of being repeat plus average player. But that's exactly what you know you can get out of that player. Day in day out -- play out that have a guy who's eight plus one day seen minus the next day eight plus -- one day F the next day where. Ability to be spectacular you just don't know yet game yeah and that and that's where he answers we'll make the -- and a I mean -- he didn't. He didn't data might might -- I think I think it was it was a wade Phillips -- felt that -- on the I would have to say that detonated this. You know on the wrong guy to ask now when it comes -- in the pro bowl player what technique wise does he do I just. I'm just not you got -- to analyze that but I have to say that that like organ -- would be your guy one of those two would be your guy. Com buy that I'll go you know what I'll I'll go Ravi moss Mankins. You know for for the -- the line for the offensive 3 com you know defensively boy that is that that that's why I that's even tougher to it down that is it that is tougher choice on. And you know I I think it -- Thomas. Is the one hand and what is definitely. Impressive but he's had some some standout -- and some great tackles but you know he's -- has the ability. To maneuver -- you know he's so fast and quick and coverage on -- because a lot of plays updated donuts -- drop -- a stat sheet that pattern noticeable with him. Tom I struggle with him I think Vince Wilfork is its approval probable a year and you know the fact that he hasn't -- Richard Seymour to one side of him. On new terms Greenwood Mike right I don't think he missed feet and and you know that. Now -- he's fourth year -- understand it apt to why a much much closer attention to one on so you know you gotta go to those two in. Having pretty good that the pro bowl year yet at this point bomb but he's got a pretty good here. And you know maybe goes might."
[1:38:05]" Republic -- Reeve is okay aren't so get a couple more email was adherents who would they think Brian since this -- on alternate Ravi moss Matt light. I agree with welcome being really great but like you like they give you have to cut some one -- it is idiom and I also -- if you start in terms of like you know. There's obviously -- to request approval deserves it who's actually can get it and when you start considering the fact that they're. There might not you better team in the patriot. But in my -- that true who went did so Wes Welker at the end of the day might very well -- or that but he's not getting in part because. Other guys that -- that end. Still the mentality of well with what well but you know what I don't if he if he continues to have you know. Even -- anywhere close the kind of game -- this last week you right on regular news why don't statistically he's going to be right up you know he he'd. If he does keep this pace you'll have probable -- numbers on you know it's always the prepositions guys who they're based on mystery as most ordinary and all that job so there's different different actors -- You know Welker. Absolutely -- but Watson he's healthy and you know he went out an interview today I'm. I think he's an April or number it's not like there's all that many tight end without the having you know. -- that an unfortunate you know fortunately fortunately. It's this that -- you know like I agree my approval a year and a great job blocking key important part of -- offense. Well he's won two catches for security but -- Francisco than ads on the habit Thomas will four. He is Warren or were able or maybe even junior -- be impact was in advance but. He got to ask you can only go pretty -- any list fives so you're you're cheating there. I think of those I'd have to agree with Thomas -- I think I'm going to go with Ty Warren. Although on these Daniels also begin -- case it's -- you know he's got the -- you know he's doing I think it. Not the most consistent job -- he he and that secondary it had their ups and downs but I think he's -- pretty good year I think like -- about guys maybe. Maybe that's always been married but on history I think. If you get there will be -- but what he did last year -- in the year at. On Italy is going to help -- rubble is ripe old life you know Andy Vermont Brady moss Welker on offense. Wilfork Samuel saying now on defense. You know no -- for for a part time player title -- the -- on in 40 years old. He have a pretty good here and he's he's still active -- he really he just doesn't act his age out there and I think he's he's not going to be pro -- or keep it in effect if you -- action. Yeah well. But -- about. Yeah I think he's put himself in position to make a place. I know one of the against Cleveland which it by someone -- well. The one I think not in Cleveland was so excited out that your easy to have an eight on Morgan impact. And I think you could ever expect him to. Vince from Pennsylvania says -- Tom Brady Randy moss Logan Mankins -- Vince Ty Warren is not a Samuel Roosevelt Colvin. Flashy he has had a bad year -- horrible year so far. Physically unable -- on we keep in mind now. This is six weeks this is this is a six week beginning of season dominant right England patriot team snapshot that quality is as a snap and so far -- walker April number -- it's negligible at an absolute shock you know idle -- thing -- I don't think -- out here. I don't think Jabar Gaffney temporal here but things only likely having April."
[1:42:14]" Mister -- I think would vote for Benjamin Watson on offense. Go watch in right now is ranked seventh I'm silly to providing stats volleys if you providing some numbers here from mr. Watson specifically. Or Antonio Gates leads everybody in the world with 43 catches for a -- and Watson's got 18 which ranks him seventh. Overall the league in tight ends."
[1:42:37]" Well Antonio Gates there I mean you would need to get hurt or have you know a complete drop off in production. To not be there in Tony Gonzales I don't know what it's all stats are I don't know 38 receptions so three touchdowns which he set a record record and so I think you know I mean you got it's tough to crack -- that horrible situation right now but watching you know seventh in. I didn't -- in receptions in the league in the it's actually in the end of season in the -- you know why I -- thought he'd be right now but he is. Touchdowns -- catcher right -- touched his five touched I touched coaches to hide it for the league lead amongst tight -- with Dallas Clark. So you know and Clark -- or about you know he -- Clark and we -- to pretty always look so it's tough to crack that that tight -- you know like I said. He might end up with global ten grand on his numbers right. Okay here we -- Scott from Washington DC"
[1:43:36]" says regarding pro bowl voting for the patriots on offense I'd say Tom Brady Randy moss Logan Mankins. Well this is flat out crushing defenders looks great on screens getting downfield very well. I'm out of -- open but he missed time an injury we're just going off what we noted day after weeks six K good. Benjamin Watson deserves the in the conversation to do. But I -- Brady moss and an offensive -- with as little as Brady has -- someone from this -- line is to get a not I think we're all in agreement that concern. On deepest I'd say Vince Wilfork Taiwan and might bring able. I have no argument that that was having an amazing year it is that you -- in too much of rotation. Where his -- plays an amazing number of snaps and a sort of very high level head tipped the Mike Reese for his weekly update on the number replaced -- player and that's a good point and a good addition by Mike -- will -- is in on an extraordinary amount of snaps you know whether it's -- fans or on offenses of the as a tight end. You know as a decoy which he served you know as in the game against the cowboys on Sunday the guys on the field for a huge number replace -- probably right maybe that deserve the recognition two great."
[1:44:41]" And though those stats on on numbers that snaps is is -- is is amazing. And out that the offense. I didn't. Amazed at how many snapped Randy moss I should say. I was amazed at first those first couple weeks how many snaps he's been Yankees that he's there about 9095% of the patriots offensive -- week in and week out which based on what we do going into the regular season. -- play in the pre season at all and played a single game where you actually put the uniform on in -- in the in -- the offense with Tom Brady. How many snaps he has played has been staggering on staggering for any player let alone -- we knew going into the season."
[1:45:21]" The real Mark. Says we have to stop there though that we out of -- special teams try to get old man is opened a one pro ball actually in all seriousness Kelley Washington. Was making a solid case for himself with some very noticeable special teams tackles. Before -- got her to miss some time he's back now and it shows the kid can fly and impressed even want to work hard and special teams there's probably -- him rock bottom Reche Caldwell good."
[1:45:44]" Point yeah absolutely one -- like you know watching her senior year why he and -- guy's tour are now well. In nine -- line and on special teams I'm an actress does a real good shot didn't that would be beyond just the pitchers are 32 32 -- want to net or gross I'm probably grows -- net maybe I think it's sorry it's -- it -- here right."
[1:46:14]" I -- nit picked for nitpick Tuesday were dead last in the league in gross punting yardage right Patrick in Beverly, Massachusetts says Michael picks offense Tom Brady Randy moss and a surprise pick Wes Welker. Defense but it was Thomas two one Vince Wilfork. Also please address the -- issue Randy moss caught a pass in the end zone had control the Fella is back in the ball rolled. About but never at ground -- the ground going to cause a fumble also wants the players completely out of bounds. Is -- the -- over that he regain controls what is the clocks stop on controlling the ball. In your you know the playbook what she's referring to play with an unbelievable catch by moss that was ultimately ruled out of bounds in the end zone. Ruled that he never never had -- fashionable at the feet were down but that he never had control the ball and was never had controllable while he was in play."
[1:47:08]" Exactly and at first -- look at the replays you're you're watching it. It became clear that it was it was clear for that what you fear about what grabbed their docket -- over able to overturn this. And then you see one replay where he -- to have the ball on I think I saw an explanation which was that. You the ground. What was it he had to have possession before hitting the what I did yeah I did an explanation guys on network or something like that I don't like explain it. Correctly but it seemed like it was the correct call on and and I think they've got to."
[1:47:42]" Well it did to the -- point I also bought at the time was what's implies that you know well as long as he had -- they truly -- control the ball always imbalanced once he goes out. That doesn't make any difference once the Balkan. Crosses the plane of the end -- it's a touchdown but the ball has to be controlled so I didn't think that they get old rule that based on the evidence that they had. On on the video replay I didn't realize that you know. Audibly what they -- when they say that he didn't have control the ball on the way down is that -- controllable period right and I think for. I think that's what I saw I don't think he did it looked at at first on hard to argue against it I just I just thought that may be based on the regional call which was touched down. They didn't have enough definitive evidence to overturn it obviously they they I didn't think -- and the evidence to overturn beat him I think that was. Proved correct but I don't think that would put the issue that was no Ottawa for. David Newtown Pennsylvania John I -- rim of the 85 bears that cloning buddy Ryan 46 DD were destroying teams left and right. And they started utilizing the bridge the -- it does David churning feeling in my stomach. Which you know they were 15 and one that one coincidentally was the dolphins to keep their perfect season record intact tipped pass that went for a touchdown late in the game I remember -- of nightmares obviously about superbowl 20 the league grow and should start the game is that a reason. The other question I was asking was what is the one. Dominant team went to the list of the top ten dominant teams the ball on the medical history based on Eddie Epstein book. What's the one team that you remember as being dominant -- grown up while in the NFL in the answer that I personally it was the evidence Steelers because they with the cowboys nemesis. You know cowboys -- you know they were they were -- to their for act. And so that was the one dominant team that I remember is being particularly you know unbeatable you know for amendment I mean you know that year the Steelers were 12 and four. But he still thought of them as dominant -- yet on its when he goes with the 85 bears. David says now I know during Peyton Manning's oh record 49 -- a year if you few years back. He had three receivers that had ten touchdowns each and a thousand yards each. -- see any of the three patriot receivers matching that record besides small."
[1:49:55]" Getting 200 it was a thousand read ten touchdowns -- thousand yards a thousand yards well. -- you know certainly mosque is on that a and I think Welker Welker could be Welker is on aids he's got three touchdowns so bright write about an eight touchdown -- on as far as yardage -- is at. Somewhere in the four -- it will for maybe neighborhoods don't want -- animosity 600 something yards -- he's on pace. And you know I mean -- stalwart yardage wise and well stands and I. He's only in the both the reason and mowed at three as I -- it to 22 he was still a ways away. Yeah Watson -- will stall worth on the last two weeks he's at 175. Yards total it yet a hundred and that Williams last week -- and 36 and he had. Around 50 I think last week if -- 60 ops I don't think he's got 300 yet. Com he's had to watch it I'll watch that not a thing right -- right. Brought that a lot of bang for the -- where's the our those first couple weeks in nets -- at the end zone but he. You know got a few passes here and there are so. You know there's an outside chance that -- at the top one for all -- keep up the pace or or three of those four to keep up a water. Who especially when you're in an office predicated on spread the ball around and finding -- receivers -- right you're the -- thank years loss at 610. Welker at 386 stall worth the 316. Okay the hours or 300 aren't on mean -- that that the pace if you're at 306 weeks and you know you're you're you're not at a 1000 -- pace -- you'd have to be at about."
[1:51:38]" Three -- to be route -- well if you're yet he got it right right about now you know. So relative or close to 400 yards so Walker's problem right on the edge of the thousand yard pace but losses definitely -- yeah how many receivers in the AFC than would be 1000 pace unless he Chad Johnson Terkel Cotchery. Chris chambers was well he still is I get right on the -- 415 yards 31 receptions but no touchdowns as we talked about. For getting traded today right function of the overall about Braylon Edwards is Reggie Wayne barely Brandon Marshall may be barely. Dwyane -- Kansas City yep he's on pace Stallworth is probably on the outside looking in at three sixteenths that you probably got about ten receivers that 1000 yard -- to a compatriots right now. Was stalwart just in the of this that lets see we -- get a few more emails over the top of the hour Alex. Our -- pro bowlers Brady moss light on the -- warrant for able. Thomas what I read those dominant team was Jim brown Cleveland Browns from my vote goes to the 85 bears. Not only where they dominant but scariest for the patriots teams I would choose the 14 yeah I think. I agree I don't know three yes they'll 14 was the battle -- going into the season Iran along directory can correct that was the best of three patriots -- so -- Our last season when -- was struggling Dan Patrick said that maybe he wasn't the next Troy Aikman maybe was Danny white is that a fair assessment. Rule I have to think anyway I was pretty -- around but I don't I don't think -- I don't think -- gotten really the do that he was due but I didn't you know I don't know if that's a fair assessment -- could be something something in between would be about right Jimmy Orlando I'd have to say the 85 bears were dominant brought the showbiz to the game with their song. God I hated him but they -- the best -- team of all time in my eyes that a great deep and sorry Dick butkus. You were before my time but now of course is past dominating today okay let's go with pat Pratt who -- this one from germantown Maryland or actually from Washington DC -- Is John I honestly been watching football within a 20 year -- my original team to San Francisco. I never really got to watch Joe Montana Super Bowl runs with them as I was too young. -- do think that the 49ers team of 94 that won the superbowl and finally defeated the cowboys was a stacked team with talented many probable players Jerry rice Steve young Ricky Watters Brent Jones Ken Norton John Taylor. Deion Sanders merton Hanks Tim McDonnell wow this major team reminds me of that 49ers team is their talented and clicking on all cylinders. With a talent they have gathered I love the patriots because they represent an old school fashion plate textbook football with tons of weapons at their disposal. Well PCs computers in his legend want yeah I think it's a very good comparison."
[1:54:24]" And 94 49ers -- niners cowboys at that time was a pretty good rivalry in her card run in the NFC in a conference like -- got with the patriots and the colts going now on the AFC that's residents say you know I think there might be some similarities there. That they're not the same division but and playing just about every year because they're that good when he divisions and and you know -- go back and forth."
[1:54:44]" Ailment of absolute -- great email I totally agree with it Andy in Vermont -- back in with the 85 bears in the I'm not a fan of the bears in the blue -- patriots -- an awful Super Bowl loss is most dominant team I remember up till. This season home and then one more from jimmies is not the stated the obvious but the chargers are coming back and loading up for the patriots we will see them again. On another note I'm not so concerned about the cold this year I have the Steelers -- my radar which -- bought some big band in his defects."
[1:55:14]" I still think that the Steelers are going to group to be average and maybe you know I'm still not sold on the neither of us on and I think that I think that the chargers it's a good chance that you know. Now we even it. -- and you know the fact that you know you gotta look at some of these divisions and well if you look at the chargers -- anything you know their Eric 500 but you know. You figure it's going to be better than 500 that we that the Broncos clearly compete with the chargers. And the raiders aren't there yet either you know at the chargers -- more I think -- pretty -- you know -- you -- Chris -- to -- make -- talked -- the -- difference -- wide -- The complex and it got. The best running back and the best tight -- And you know that yet those two but that they use the ghost. Much every year they lead the chargers in receptions. The satellite receiver in the top to a respect that we did last year and -- and they don't really you're so that Gagne and -- uses this bye week to get him acclimated it's your office one quick update on patriots today absolutely -- still talking about the again against the cowboys go more in -- on Randy moss and that sort of well we talked about you know that the pace that he on the year and that's a little bit on on the way to detrick were able to why get by without Jason -- absolutely destroyed them all at once he once we reached at his row scoring drive in touch another ball game. Com and -- now pop world talk a little bit about it and you know about the upcoming courts. Courts well but not the patriots -- well and and by the way by the way if you watched it papers today. And every day you are moments -- for the admission mature more. On this website papers today -- peerless I think you all right. We'll be back here in a march saint -- times same -- channel."
[1:57:22]" We'll have all probably some locker room we'll have a conference calls with the Miami Dolphins and who knows maybe a special surprise -- pats get ready for the -- squished fish"
