Play from 0:00[0:00]" God's got voted out at all. It's it's patriots played without -- and it's all I am. -- the seventh round patriots playbook breaking down last Sundays game yeah go ahead and headed there because -- back. The top next Sunday's game want to go bought by having him play that they've won -- and the rest of the 2000 NFL's. Career and some of the fun stuff in between even bet you one braves even. Right now."

Play from 0:33[0:33]" Yankees news Ross -- Didn't as I don't know that you were at the game. We're glad that you were at the game actually. Because if you were at the game and then obviously the team with you know. Have a game plan to follow would have you know things to do and it would obviously have a purpose. To -- should of finished runner up the court found that we will giving up the play book today report Tuesday after the patriots. Dispatched dismantled dismayed that. The rest of the NFL by you know."

Play from 1:11[1:11]" Crashing Miami 40 and 28 on Sunday obviously on Tuesdays we do a lot of in the past we've done a lot of nitpicking in and certainly I think we'll do our share of that today but I mentioned two. Paul an Indian and Tom awards ago if you haven't had a chance summer -- excerpt from. -- result of taken for granted that may be some of you don't have time to surf around. And a read all the things that are written about the team during the course weaker in the day and he probably at your desk you probably. You know two and getting some work done at least many of -- war realize that W probably a boss buttons built in the your Internet maybe this just idle chit chat that we're glad that you take time trust me never take that program always -- to take vandalism at. A but I have to admit I've never let a writer. Or columnist someone who opined for a for a living I I've never let anybody ever get under my skin. I've never let anybody bother me what they say every really what they broadcast because I don't how the game is played. I mean if you're in a talk show eat it it's your job to create opinion you know or it's your it's your job do you know basically formulate opinion and then this catalytic bounce were many. Either people agree with the or they'll disagree with the and that's how talk radio works. If your columnist your job is to write European Union and then get people to react to it and whether they like you were not. Generally speaking they won't preview. That's what columnists do. Opinions and so let's take this in the light in which it's. You know in in which it is is he's given. This is an opinion. Why -- columnist who writes for page two audience in dotcom and Gregg easterbrook -- You know some of you certainly feel that way I'm sure we've already had a few emails about this particular column today. Which we saved from now we'll get to those in a moment but I'm -- few excerpts here because frankly today. This got under my skin a little bit and I think it's because there's a certain amount of shall I say vitriol. That is involved here that I really think is unnecessary and I think it's highly unprofessional. And how this guy keeps -- job is frankly beyond me. Maybe it's because ESPN has so many freaking guys on their column list you know they can't keep track of everybody. But honestly you know this guy's getting away with -- slander. He's getting away it was a slander and he's -- under the guise of being a columnist and giving his opinion he clearly has it out of the patriots now there may be those who listen in an -- we have colts listeners on a regular basis here. And in this is not anything against Indianapolis we're going to have all of next week talk about the colts matchup. Not going to really jump and that this week I'm glad you're here to. Because the colts are very good team in the way that they would they -- Jacksonville last night caught my attention. And that's going to be a Titanic battle and I do think the patriots will have their hands full in two weeks. But in New England they've got Washington to play and when you have a team that has nothing to lose. You know what. They can be dangerous. -- you know yeah insurer right you said the same thing about Miami last week while it's true but Miami does not have any and what tool talent they have is. Woefully -- motivated. With the exception Jason Taylor's -- and so after Matt -- interception which I thought was a joke a meet Jason Taylor is a better professional. -- reporters works you know what I I would I would ten -- great I would have thought the Joey porter was works but what Jason Taylor did. Dancing -- and spreading into the end zone like I mean come on you're dead and still. I 21 points what is the reason behind your celebration. That may have been more professional than anything the patriots have been accused. I don't think should have been accused of running up the score that's what bill got testy post game wise after the game on Sunday I understand that but I was giving him. We understand you you can't have it. -- place. All right first of all people complain. That you know the patriots are marginal team -- marginal championship. Team -- marginal dynasty because each of the three Super Bowl wins with -- reports -- they complain that you know the patriots are just barely beating people on that this whole spike gate thing. Indicates suits suits humble not everyone but to some that they believe that the patriots sleight of hand in their branding or breaking the rules. Somehow dictates what they did over the course of their three suitable championships. When the patriots were simply just basically you know just went in the game that was it in the moving on the next week now. Now other upset rightly so that people are calling into question their integrity. And people were calling into question the legitimacy of their three championships and now they're beaten the crap out of people. They're putting pedal to metal. They're -- it. Because that are upset and that want to make sure that they leave no doubt year. That they are the best team and our people were calling them sort -- winners and unsportsmanlike because of the fact that they're beaten the crap out of people. Which is -- people. Which is. Fair or unfair right or wrong if you're not a fan of the patriots and you listen in this program which one is. Which is the apt description. You know you got to understand what -- the top. Europe for the top your king of the hill everybody's going to take potshots at -- manager job as the champion to stay up there this is why when you're up at the top. This is why it's tough to stay there in of course the colts treatments are because the culture of defending champs the colts are the patriots in 2003 all right. That's the colts. The culture the New England Patriots in 2003 because the patriots -- actually in 2004 because. The colts are defending champs and yet. They're not getting the respect that perhaps they feel they should so they're they're putting a big boulder on their shoulder. So we've been through what the colts are going through right now now it's come full circle now the patriots are the bad guy. They're the bad guys they're the cheaters in the short winners they're the guys who were beating up on people who were defenseless around only. Right -- region just a few you can read the whole article we yourself but by the time it's a long article on in this guy I don't know how he writes so much and -- time but. -- mean this is really a waste of time and space and breath and everything I -- of district which frankly I I find it incredible. Thought about how the patriots in the cold and over before this Gregg easterbrook for me is paean to raise -- dot com page two he's a -- difficult to report shaping -- we -- the most attractive and exciting FL regular season games the respect. Pairing is fabulous the teams of the league's best there's a chance both will take the field undefeated. Plus patriots colts they powerful compelling narrative namely good verses -- bill. The fact that I don't even need to tell you which team represents good in which stands for evils that a lot about how low New England has sunk. You know instantly which was which didn't you. Argument for the colts has paladins to carry the banner of that which has been efficient or beneficent should say. Sportsmanship honesty modesty devotion to community embrace of the traditional small town life belief that a higher power even a lot of laughter. The colts defending champions have obviously played well on the field yet after winning the Super Bowl they have remain humble in appealing. -- this now familiar patriots fans. Easterbrook continues. Who prior years. A postseason frustration may never complained -- pointed a finger outside their team. Their players are active in community affairs and don't carp about being assigned to a non glamorous farm belt city with -- antiquated stadium they're coach Tony -- smiles in public answers honestly whatever his nasty never yells at players -- grimace is it bad plays and when defeated doesn't act as the what's the into the world. All the religious -- on the night he won the superbowl that god doesn't care about football games which shows perspective. The team's star beaten man experience for level family constantly appearing in public with -- brothers' father and mother -- in his happily married and a major donor to a children's hospital -- spent a lot of time at children's camps and events he constantly makes fun of himself ladies and gentlemen representing go to. The Indianapolis Colts. Argument for the doing the patriots as scoundrels in the service of that which is -- full. Dishonesty cheating arrogance hubris endless complaining even in success the patriots have three Super Bowl rings but that jewelry is tarnished by either cheating scandal. They run up the score to two million opponents more on that later thus mocking sportsmanship. They're coach snaps and snarls and public seeming to feel contempt for the American public but has brought him wealth and celebrity. Victory seems to give Bill Belichick no joy and defeat throws him into fury. But what you're going to rest of the top. -- the patriots organization continue to refuse to answer questions about what was in the cheating tapes and generally you refused to answer questions if you have something to hide it. The team has three Super Bowl triumphs -- players regularly whine about not being -- enough. The team's star Tom Brady is a smirking to separate. Who dates actresses and supermodels but who's public charity appearances are infrequent. That constant smirk on Brady's face reminds one of Dick Cheney. People who smirk -- fairly broadcasting the message quote I'm hiding something. The patriots team especially creepy at this point because we still don't know whether they have told the full truth about the cheating scandal or even whether they really have stopped cheating. They say they have but the word is not exactly gold at this juncture ladies and gentlemen representing evil the New England Patriots. -- there and wow I saw that and I'm like. Honestly I mean you know I -- it -- a fan but -- hair on the back of my neck stood up reading that. Wow is all like Wednesday just a couple of other quick get -- four Gregg easterbrook says in the good versus evil narrative of the colts and that's running up the score is a telling factor it reveals the team's sportsmanship or lack of same. And whether a team show sportsmanship in public might offer insights into its character in private. Knowing the scoring so many points the patriot offense looks like cherries and oranges spitting at a slot machine. The flying elbow I stand plus 115 on net points by far the best scoring margin in the NFL this is supposed to be impressive but I think it's creepy. And new England's creepy on field behavior is only underscored the CD this of the -- cheat scandal. He says later yes you can find games the colts have won by a big margin in recent years and yes Manny was on the field through the fourth quarter at Jacksonville last night but in that court the -- mainly -- to grind the clock that they had wanted to win by more than likely could have. As for New England running up the score supposedly the patriots are angry about the -- scandal better scoring points like crazy to express their anger against the world wait a moment. What right -- the patriots have to be angry. I don't know -- it when people called and cheaters like Q when -- explain themselves several times over. They after all the ones who admitted to systematic cheating. Other people didn't impose that situation on them they cheated of their own free accord. -- the tenth inning of their accomplishments on themselves patriots were not wrong to the -- others yet they're mad about being caught. And yet they seem to want to take out their bad feelings about themselves by embarrassing second echelon teams. That -- speaks of character that's dark side. That's evil. Week that's not even the tip of the iceberg your kids."

Play from 13:23[13:23]" Hello I don't know on a -- if we get him on the air. Like to ask why me why he has such -- a vendetta against the patriots what did the patriots duty and it one of the players in the locker room stuff him in a trash can at one point in time."

Play from 13:43[13:43]" Or or you know call -- name or did Bill Belichick refused to give him an interview. I mean this is opinion so I think he's pretty much -- this is this is this is borderline irresponsible. In my humble opinion it's it's it's you know. If you want to do you -- create controversy I guess that's what he's done and I frankly think that's all the espn.com cares about. That he creates controversy that people read him -- the -- you love him or hate him. You're reading. And -- so it's a lot of it's a lot of stuff it's this there's a lot of stuff here a couple of all the things here. He said what's -- like -- let me read just one more paragraph he says if the patriots -- unfairly maligned. Why the whole screw you act they are staging. If the patriots were unfairly maligned -- they be trying hard to convince us their hearts are fewer and that distinctly is not what they're doing. Sure many New England players are awesome performers both of moss is touchdown catches Sunday came when he was double team. Flying a while offensive line was flawless again Mike Vrabel waived by Pittsburgh might be the best linebacker in the NFL. But the patriots are so awesome they don't need to cheat then why were they cheating in week one. The whole situation remains creepy should New England continue want to win the Super Bowl without a major attitude shift toward nice guy behavior. Issued the year and without the NFL's ever explaining what to win one evidence it destroyed or why. There could be a huge amount of cynicism about this NFL season. Cynicism doesn't -- export product nor is it what the NFL should be marketing to the young. That's but the practical game November for so clearly represents good versus evil. The colts stands for everything the NFL -- sports and -- you should be proud of the colts stand for a positive future for the NFL the -- stand for. Well would -- nice that the patriots would explain to us what they stand for when good meets -- I know who I'll be rooting for. Ago our kids. I'd like your thoughts web radio -- patriots dot com. Send me an email. I mean obviously there's there's plenty their to a pack of play there to talk about even if you think some of that is correct solve it right I mean there's it's it's hard to argue that you know. The fact that this whole you know spike -- thing has been sort of shoved under the rug it has been. I'd love for the F they'll come out and -- Definitively either yes there's something to this or no there's nothing to it it might very well being that they're trying to let the games take precedence here and maybe this is something they'll addressed my guess is that that of what the patriots was doing. Directly affected the outcome of any games that it nipped in the bud right now before any more games take place that's my guess. If they it'd be if that's not the case. Then the NFL is wrong and the NFL is not doing this the way that they should be doing. Maybe there's more -- the story I don't know. Clearly Gregg easterbrook thinks there's more. I'm still trying to figure in the past why this guy based on out because I'm you know this guy used to write for road he has recorded FL dot com. Well it was going to fill the outcome in the of I think fox sports for awhile and then now he's been hired by espn.com under the same. Tuesday morning quarterback column that is 14 freaking pages long here soul you know obviously he's covered the NFL for awhile. But he's headed out for the patriots I think ever since the patrons were suitable take. You know he -- food and lambasted the patriots is being. You know if I'm not if I'm not mistaken -- primarily a fraud it. When they were winning Super Bowls and now that they are crushing people they're evil. I just you know I don't I don't really get that we get it that you don't like New England Greg we get it we understand that. But he calls Tom Brady -- smirking separate. Who dates actresses and supermodels but who's public charity appearances are infrequent. By the way I had to go I'd go look up and Gary we had to look up separate. But at the person -- devoted to luxury and pleasure. That's what it means. Devoted to luxury. And pleasure. Who wouldn't want to be that they -- I don't know that would be devoted to. When he says number he's a smirking several dates actresses and supermodels but his public charity appearances aren't frequent while I think that's unfair. I also think it's inaccurate and it borders on slander. And that's a -- that's an absolution. Now obviously I don't think the patriots should spend any time thinking one way or the other about you know whoever Gregg easterbrook is. And maybe Tom Brady's agent sends a little note to mr. easterbrook to remind him that. You know if your under the guise of journalism here -- also under the guise of all you know slander in. -- libel and things like that and that you know if you're going to single out my client then maybe you should be singled out yourself. A little warning wouldn't hurt. My guess is is that you know that agent and Tom rated themselves. Have more money and more ability to tie him up in court that he cares to get into. That would be my -- And all you have to do is know for for evidence against the guy in a court again I'm no lawyer -- to likely won't hear on the radio. But I think he could go back in history to look at the articles he's read about the patriots to get you know go to the general gist of -- that he's going to be in for knowing. Public this just a random article the comes from a guy who plays it straight down the middle. This guy's got an in for knowing what. Public he wants to go there. Anyway I'd like your thoughts web radio at patriots dot com. The telephone number five away 5437482. Again area code 585437482 is the telephone number what do you think of the column is their accuracy to it. Is that nothing would dribble so -- you have written about Gregg easterbrook in the past although it's been sort of infrequent they're a couple of emails today that we'll get to already feeling that this particular row. Column on espn.com page two I just I have to admit I'm I'm floored by the out now -- a first that's. Vitriol army other adjectives I can throw out there. By it because I -- you rarely see this in print or online you just rarely see. Also want to jump into some things about the game and and maybe you know since this is -- Tuesday. Honestly I realize that it's it's much ado about not from the patriots pretty much that way would do with the dolphins as a litany of it's expected that they would on Sunday say what you want to about. You know -- interception in the return by Jason Taylor and -- the return of Tom Brady into the game to throw another touchdown pass to put up another score. Fact is at 42 to seven at halftime of the that this kind of stunned everybody with its you know swift -- meaning and then you know they had scored the second half I frankly don't blame bill for you know sending Tom Brady back in there if only but to you know send a clear message to a guy like Matt. Mean let's face it we -- one injury away from Matt Cassel being in there and being in the god. I think he wants to make sure that you know you're preparing every week like you have to -- in their on the knicks' plot. And that I think they felt like you know it was a -- pass in the it was a poor read and I think he's just sitting -- message. That would be my guess there's just a little message being sent here. That you need to pay attention to detail because one of these days we may need you. I would also tell you that I could I think we can all be nit picky over the fact that even though was garbage time and you have a significantly over your opponent that. You know you have to realize that. Championship teams primarily learn how to step on the jugular of an opponent. Patriots are getting their offensively but they're not there yet defensively. Can we agree on that assessment today. Eckstein gave up almost 400 yards of total offense to the Miami Dolphins team that's quarterback. But Cleo Lemon and was without Ronnie brown in the second half because he's now out for the year with -- ACL injury. And he still gave up almost 400 yards of total offense -- and -- gave up over 170 on the ground. Now don't care who's in there. Whether it's first team second team or eighth team. I don't care who's in there that's that's unacceptable in my guess is -- that's going to be dealt with this week in some form or fashion. So they're certainly a couple of -- of nice tidy items the nit pick on today. On Tuesday is -- nitpick Tuesday and we're you know it. I if you'd -- that the just from the pure attitude here that this team is not 7 for the first time in franchise history which they are. And believe you me it's it's it's it's a place in which well not only New England has ever been a few teams have been. Before and yet you know over the last couple weeks I have sensed and I know the POW guys have since an injury but you fans of sense you know a certain amount of complacency. And all what is that really to talk about I mean he can only say well -- are awesome are very. -- say that so much before it gets a little bit boring and it's a little bit tedious. And so you'll look for things to talk about you look for things to sort of dissect and analyze. And and kick around a little bit and consider in mall over. And that's why we do this because you look for things like that the -- an effort to would discuss football as best you can and the subjects around football. That's why we have -- Tuesday specifically for that reason. You know and that we we break it down you know on the Wednesday's and Thursday's and we. You know here from the players and the coaches and you know and we get the analysis from our members of the media during the week on particular matchups. And give you a chance to kind of but delve into this a little bit. And then today you know after you know you know you -- kick teams but and by the way you know there have been plenty of times over the years that the dolphins have done exactly what the patriots did the Miami this Sunday. I think it's if you go back to the annals in the archives here I think you realize that the dolphins would be incredible -- much more than patrons have -- That the -- got -- them. Are really don't I don't see the problem. This is his sheer gang up on the wing -- effort by Gallic easterbrook in in in some other choice members of the media as I've ever saint. And it's all it all has to do with -- someone getting there you know their their feathers ruffled because of the -- by gate story. I guarantee you there's no way that this article would have been written today if spike -- had not occurred the patriots had gotten caught whichever way you want to term. It happened we're dealing whether the patriots have dealt with a clearly some people in this world cannot deal with. So all your thoughts on the story. I'd like to know do you think there's accuracy to what about it do you agree -- Is -- much ado about nothing. Are you going to paid any attention re going to read what this guy has to say are you going to send a complaint to espn.com. Are you what are what are you going to do with. You think it'll serve as motivation I doubt very many people will read. Although I'm sure that there will be guys in the locker room and that will -- probably pass it around. And then they'll come look at it crumpled up the one in the trash can say whatever. You know you can't win when Europe on top. But I I would give you this though I really believe that you on the colts will be using this to their advantage the culture love in this right now because in the patriots are the team that's what the president as the 500 pound gorilla. And the colts -- the defending champs and last night I was convinced that they are still pretty good team. They're better defensively than most people give them credit for -- will spend all of next week talking about. That particular issue. But this this is setting up in two weeks to be gargantuan you know regular season matchup. I do hope that both teams are able to get their undefeated I think it will really be something special as a chance to -- a special regular season football. In the meantime the patriots have a Washington Redskins to play on Sunday and if they want that chance meeting with the colts in the regular season to be special they have to win this Sunday. Somehow they've got to find a way to do. And that's what we obviously will be dealing with -- through via the course of of the week this week. Web radio at patriots dot com -- tell you reaches 5 wait 5437482 your comments on easterbrook and his column. On your comments on nitpicking. On the patriots on this nitpick Tuesday what else are you concerned about was football team is concerned on the field. Some of the -- bother you giving on the offense by the attitude wise volume mistakes anything what what are what are we talking about here today. What concerns you this is your chance to be open and honest and let me know what you think football wise this team needs to continue to improve. You know people to be taken shots -- left and right. That's the telephone number of course patriots seven over the first time in team history they are the first team in NFL history to win each of its first seven games by 17 points or more. Previous record holder was the 1999 at St. Louis Rams who won their first six games by 17 -- more and then lost. In their seventh game. The -- patriots scored 42 points obviously that first half against Miami on Sunday the highest point output in any half. In franchise history. Previous record single Everett 41 points. -- back in 1978 the first step of a 5521 win over the JETS that Schaefer stadium. On England of that game 417 at halftime the 49 points against the dolphins the sixth highest single game point total in franchise history. And the highest since a 15 to 17 win over the colts in 1984. Tom Brady had a perfect passer rating of 158 point three I know we've discussed this before. How does 158 point three again get to be the perfect passer rating. I mean you'd think you'd be on a scale like one you know zero to 100 or even 20158 point three that means that there's impossible to get 158 point five. -- apparently anyway. He it was the first time that he has had a perfect passer rating for a single game in his career. Previous high with 150 point nine last season not to get back was early this season in buffalo. It's the first perfect passer rating by patriots player since the 1970 AFL NFL merger good grief Brady course through the franchise record six touchdown passes in the game sitting in a single game franchise record. First player in the entire NFL to -- six inning game since Peyton Manning did it on November the 25 2004 the little record by the way promote touchdown passes in game seven it's been done five times most recently though 1969 Mike joked half of the Minnesota Vikings. About that for a record. Who's to say he won't have a shot that. Brady's added to his NFL record by throwing at least three touchdowns now each of the season's first seven games the previous triggered of course was five straight games to do that. That was Steve young in 98 -- he's extended his own NFL record in that regard. Lot of other great superlatives for those at least -- the records that were set after the 4928 win by the -- on Sunday and we'll get -- a few other things as well over some of the individual performances with. Brian -- from patriots today -- coming -- just a little -- our second in the meantime a lot of emails to get to -- have -- have your comments about Gregg -- column. Off the -- and -- Tuesday morning quarterback column on espn.com page two that's basically what we're going with today in addition to our normal nitpick Tuesday's and I do have some concerns clearly over Rome. You know allowing 380 almost 400 yards of total offense against Miami team whether it's garbage time or not. They're clearly has to be focus. And you have to play without an eye toward the scoreboard. You have to keep plant. And I really believe that every player down that hallway. Would say the same thing unacceptable no excuses we gave up way too many points way too many yards -- we need to improve. And I think US fans that's exactly what you want to hear that's what you showed here. And I think it's a little bit of a concern I do believe it's a little bit of a concern I do believe that it had an offense like what Indy will throw two weeks. Could prove to be somewhat problematic we're talking about a game that both teams could be in the 40s about maybe entertaining but I on the business -- way to win a championship. All right. Pat Wright's got a few question do you think the evidence of that watch and the lack of -- running game the reason why Brady was just going up and a double coverage because of no big tight end -- in the middle. It's a Watson had a big game against the browns. No I don't think so I think I think Tom Brady threw it up into double coverage especially and the offense in particular era passes caught by Randy moss because he felt like moss could go get the ball. You know certainly having Ben Watson available in the middle helps opened things up there's no doubt about that. What I you know it. If you don't have Randy moss making those plays that made by the with a one handed grab in the end zone was one of the most incredible catches I have ever seen. You know in 30 years of you know covering -- thought I've died don't know that I've ever seen anything like that like. Seem -- it grabs ever humanly catcher with the crew for the cradle of their arm like in double coverage analysts and I think that the patriots have been that much more better when Watson is able to return but knowing that he threw it up there because he knew Randy could go get. Just one more does anyone on earth besides the guy an -- know the formula for QB rating because Brady was as the equation it even he didn't know oh but it nova that was coming -- thank you anyway. I don't -- if you looked it up. And we'll get before is somebody may end -- email and that to a but I'm sure that there is a particular formula. Quarterback rating how they arrive at the 158 point three for a perfect answering. And now I need to refresh my memory would that -- it will do that where you that thinks Thomas is that a few emails and some great graphics Thomas thank you talk about Randy moss and the dolphins getting lost. Good stuff thomas' real -- a spot where he could actually post these. Will pass these on -- to the other way of ministry here but the good stuff thank you that aren't Dwyane since this. I love Greg Easter -- Tuesday morning quarterback. However he is officially gone over the top -- colony in the New England game one that the it's good versus evil and then he gives us the excerpt which he is particularly seems to have lead an issue with he says. Coach snaps and snarls and public seeming to fill contempt for the American public that has brought him wealth and celebrity. Victory seemed to give Bill Belichick no joy in defeat throws him into fury. And we read an -- thank you doing appreciate that Tony says. Huge pats fan since the Sullivan's except for Fred -- they -- these being funny here anyway watch the colts last night and I have to tell you I think they might be better than the patriots they played a tougher schedule by far than we have. And what they haven't played any offensive powerhouses their defense looks very stout against the run. And when they can stop the run with a lineman that frees up Sanders to -- deep down field. To this point looks at the colts have the better day. Pats have given up lots of running room all year bad red zone -- cetera and it better run game quarterback level is a push a state receivers probably the pats are we clear advantage. While I don't know that that's the case Tony I don't know the overall the colts have the better defense I'd say that. I think he could make an argument for them being somewhat equal on the events. I think that the patriots down lineman or at least every bit as good they don't why beggars are better that you might say that these secondary is a -- you could. But I think the patriots offense right now is better than what the vehicle to provide. And again that's right now and they change my mind in a week and again we'll try to deal with more this -- next week anyway bomb. Enjoy listening but while listening I've been serving that came across the article by some. I believe he is going to call him nicely weicker and Gregg easterbrook called good versus evil. Anyway I bid you farewell from London old England question remember we were five and five the first it will here in the greatest show on earth. Lighting up they would they were lighting up the entire league we know what happened in the it. Thank you Mark Mark reading from all London Thomas by the -- since the graphic and it shows of the of good versus evil story has Tony Dungy on the left bathed in a white light with a halo and -- good versus -- in the middle and Bill Belichick -- in dark red and orange with horns sticking out of his head. I think it's much myself Mark. That guy is crazy what the patriots do to him give me a break the colts the good guys. Who is the first to start complaining when IDB's would get them after five yards they wouldn't stop complaining two years after that. Think that writers just trying to stir controversy. May very will be marked by the -- here's the formula for. Quarterback passer rating. Let's see you've got AB and C India for proponents say is the completions divide -- by attempts. -- is that touchdown divide -- by attempt seized nine point five I didn't understand this is this like. Is like algebra. It's my understanding that there would be no match you happen no kidding. It is interceptions nine point my mum 99 and a half minus interceptions that out of my attempts and then yards about abide camps. Says ABC and he cannot be greater than two point 375 or less than zero. And then you add eight plus beat policy was deep and divide -- by point 06 was my understanding that there would be no matter. A couple of the -- decided points goes into the factor in this I don't know. I'm not sure I understand any better now by anybody I've -- a pitcher it made I don't know. Really it was my understanding there would be no math in this. All right David says this article -- from the Philippines Wednesday from -- probably -- okay John here's what I tried posted a comment that article one Bill Belichick is not a people person. He's never been a people person expecting someone like that change overnight based on an incident like spike gave shows no understanding of human nature at all. Classifying the entire patriots team is evil is a total cheap shot ESPN's should be getting better for whatever their should get better whatever they're paying this writer. Pats -- their ownership do many things for charity. The visitor troops overseas they provide aid for disaster victims and visit schools just like the other teams. Every team and every other organization having people and it has good and a bad side good and bad days good and bad aspects in all things. And the -- believe we have some -- the patriots charitable foundation which has long been established here but unfortunately. Some writers in their attempt to get their feelings out the ball over facts. Hum -- is number three we don't know how many other teams did or still do steal signs. But we do know that all the teams have known for years at their sides could be stolen so with the pats did well certainly wrong isn't nearly as big -- deal as the author of this piece of junk article would have you believe. Number four of course the patriots past the number one running back Maloney has been out for three weeks with a hamstring and was pulled out before halftime. The second string running back -- is injured now for the next few weeks at least they're third string running back -- is mainly a pass catching receiver if dungy of that team with Brady and that's receivers he passed to. He's too good coach not to why on earth would anyone try to run in that situation. And finally point differential is part of the playoff seeding system. Why wouldn't the team try to score this whole article is just stupid I expect better from ESPN. I would think that if anybody individually if you really have and a gripe. Or have -- disagreement with the article you do need to email ESPN. Having worked there and I still do work there from time to time they do reading emails. I know they skip around a bit but if the volume comes in one way or the other they will read it. In my guess is is that someone will let this gentleman no. What New England fans think in my guess is that we might even get -- a little extra news next week in his column notes maybe that's exactly what they want so you could also go the opposite directions say I'm not wasting my time. I'm -- after today I think I'm going to tend to go that route but will just going to wait NC because quite frankly. I think in a lot of ways we -- pushing the envelope on slandered -- And I want what I want to wait to see if he crosses the line here because then somebody's gonna get rich and somebody is going to lose job com on in saint Catherine's John -- cloud has no understanding of how to win and what it takes to win. If the patriots players begin to believe they're taking unfair advantage and back off and try not try as hard. Is this -- before loss. Isn't their team in the is their team in the NFL that can't finish a game to let two win. Letting close game slip past them into lost the killer instinct is what a football player needs to keep the pressure on until the last whistle. Blows I think you probably still that last will be to a -- or I don't know -- rebel. There's been accused of being cheap player because he plays until the whistle blows I think that's what all players to gently coached to do. Rape from Springfield while listening to patriots play book after via W a listen to John rook while that -- nice to nice to hear from my question he cuts his. Did you not invite him to join the patriots organization why can't this guy get it through his thick idiot thick skull that the patriots are doing exactly what they do. When playing games that was last week let's move on. As far as running of scores aren't these players paid to play the game -- offensive players are paid to score deepens a bit players -- paid to stopped scoring. Both teams on the field being paid to place -- stop whining when the -- score more than your team does and as far as easterbrook is concerned. Pats fans don't need him around as he was obviously the kid who always got picked last if it is what ability. It just is obvious is the fact that the only way to get anyone to read his column is by using Howard Stern like tactics and trying to create controversy. No I think that he was actually using Howard Stern like tactics -- you bring in some hookers or something. -- this is keep on scoreboards let's try to keep the next few opponents to wondered stand. To see what a perfect team looks like you're screwed it beats that are forgetting this is what the players are paid to do. Good email thank you for contributing to the -- today and in Vermont says but it's also are great for you kidding me. Easterbrook is a -- how can he say we don't know what's on the takes everybody got to see it on -- fox or on youtube of which is where I saw. I heard build the patriots Monday talk about what they have been doing. What what -- the titans in Texans game. He wants to make sure they don't lose. Running all scenarios through his mind explain it was a very well in this easterbrook is listening maybe he can get that interview in the big show and listen to bills reasoning. Porter who he roots for on Sunday that they were dominating like the patriots what -- say in this -- jets. Actually think he has budget and he does he's covered a lot of New York sports -- over the jets the jets frequently in the past so maybe use David says in Virginia says I would not given any attention stay above -- like the patriots do. They've been under advisement with little -- it would. On -- from paisley Scotland haven't -- while Lori glad to hear from says John I've long given a reading -- east root team you column. Is that guy obviously has a problem with the patriots which spans and want further back than video game. The guy comes across to me as he probably likes the sound of his own voice probably more to be -- and scolded. Nobody's claiming that all the patriots have done has all been good but -- That's like the modern day sports after the called being wider than wide and never moaning wasn't built -- in the water kept complaining about the patriots overzealous tackling. Result being that the officials were total lighten up contact especially by the -- you'd be correct absolutely correct. Calm and I believe I missed only one who has been caught it and the press box here at Gillette stadium pounding his fist on the table. And telling his players to know what a particular to break Doug Flutie is Katherine -- I believe we have several people actually hear him say that. But you know -- we forget about that in mysteries doesn't know that didn't take the time to learn. He says as for running up the score why does the NFL have this problem every other sport on the planet outside the US anyway. Fans expecting to run up the score I've lost count him out of seven nobody knows soccer games have witnessed over the years. I honestly can't see why it's deemed on sporting to achieve the aim of the game score more points than the other team. Good days to be a patriot Red Sox and keep the good work great show thanks orient they -- sitting at the -- always good to hear from him -- always welcome. -- make some very good points. You know I think will realize that if we were on the receiving in. A game that was out of hand I think that would definitely be some grumbling about it the nature of the beast. Sports are such that you always have -- winner. And loser and one side is going to be happy and another side is going to be upset. And the side that is upset is always going to look for something that they can hang their head on. Philosophically mentally emotionally to help them get through the disappointment of being well. Disappointed."

Play from 50:06[50:06]" And so if you can rationalizing your mind that our oil they ran up the score. That's not fair you know it makes you feel better about yourself make you feel better about your team."

Play from 50:19[50:19]" they ran up the score on -- so they must be bad. You know how many times is for those of -- that have been patriots fans for a long time. Sometimes you've been on the receiving end of that. Now you know what it's like on the other side -- you know what it's like to be the big guy now you know what it's like to do the pounding and you have to admit you know you're still get hit. From both sides at least when you're the bad guy when you stake and you get hit didn't they scored upon at least you know where it's coming from now you get hit from both sides here. So there really isn't a perfect world. It is going to have to learn to take it move on and basically they have sour grapes. If anything the people who complain about -- up the score there the Porsche sports I think he realized -- and I think actually whether or not he was trying to make a point. Or maybe you know maybe there is some validity to the fact that you know there'll still ticked off about the whole spike gate story in their you know the the basically put the pedal to metal as I described in the opening part of the showed today. And you know they want to beat the crowd of people in order to erase any got a ball at all. That there's any slighted and going on about the other championships in this year although you can't do anything about the of the chip which of those have gone. -- done there in the books. Everybody due to assume that you know they're tainted. It's just is just -- you're wrong. You have to go back into quite a bit of him. Research and if someone wants to take the time we don't dig that up that's fine. It's not going to change the outcome the NFL is not going to expunge the records. They're not going to do that. Because of what they would do they would put anything and everything from here on out into question. And the NFL doesn't want that that's what the NFL is put in this under the -- if somebody aired in of the patriots are guilty they're paying a heavy fine for. My guess is -- that you know at some point. Or some form or fashion someone in his organization whether it's bill or somebody else has learned their lesson is not going to happen again. Like I told you earlier I think it's due to sheer arrogance. And it's due to the desire to gain what ever little edge you think you need in order to win a game on any given Sunday. These people are so thorough in their preparation they will leave no stone unturned and if they determine. That their interpretation of particular rule is different from -- anybody else's interpreting it. They're going to do that if they think you give them manage. And even if that -- not a great big edge which I don't think this was. There's still going to do it why because they're driven motivated focused okay used the word maniacal. But it's what makes them what they arm and it's why that they win and it's what is organization and the team is doing what he's doing on the field right now. So called what you want but it's just part of a package here. And I don't really think that you know it's it's. I mean it's going to continue to have shelf life I told you this right after it started as it is on the were all going to live with for the rest of the season. It's still going to keep coming up in various pockets -- the country just wait for Super Bowl week you were fortunate to get that far it will be a huge topic John writes he says who the hell is this guy used to vocal that's the point no body. Looking for fame don't worry about look at of separate suited easterbrook -- a bad guy for -- we dates well isn't that an insult the models and actresses. He easily jealous maybe because his significant other most -- resembles Mimi from the -- in Chicago for possibly Drew -- oh we only to get in because name calling here this -- whole life is behind a laptop in his underwear watching reruns of the OC because he can't afford cable. This is a die hard colts fan and he's in position it was sounding board as his disposal disposal talk about a professional. The coach snaps and snarls and public seeming to -- content the American public that has brought him wealth and celebrity right. Because as we all know -- such captivating interviewed during press conferences -- this -- a joke. This is reminiscent of the articles written about coach bill for pushing the photographer. Start looking around the rest of the NFL has -- the rest of the league still looks like angels I doubt it. Plenty of NFL wars are being arrested and suspended -- you will not hear about them this season. That's your third game for anything people want to throw at them and because of spike gate we just have to sit back and take it. It would complain about easterbrook he just gets more notoriety we do nothing other foot jump on his bandwagon. Just thankfully we've been that he says oh by the way -- to Fred -- for saying and I quote Rodney Harrison such last week what game did he watch. He says that last week. Tom Thompson you know that's pick what those guys say with a grain it's okay. It's all like him Billy you know sometimes for as much football as some of those guys watch I also wonder what they're watching. Mom I'm not naming things and try to get along with -- everybody here but that's why you know opinions are like you know what everybody has one. John I don't agree with east -- it all I would like to know how he can write that -- post that. Well honestly Mark this is Mark with a -- from New Hampshire here bomb. First of all legacy explained earlier ESPN let him write that because they know it'll create controversy it'll create readership. Probably they'll get a little hit on the web site you know -- broke blurb on the website where people go to the article read you know such drivel that he's -- They love that followed -- traffic they don't care. Well that's creating controversy they don't really care. So you're really damned if you do damned if you don't. By reacting mean we react because it's. -- and then when you react the other way well they -- that's exactly what they want you to do that's what columnists. An opinion makers do talk show host do you -- outlandish things why to get a rise out of people that's why. What you believe it or not but the whole point of this exercise today is. Is that this guy is what he's saying he's got particular as I mentioned earlier vitriol behind it. He's calling people names which is totally sophomoric and uncalled for and it borders on -- And so I and I say -- borders because this is his opinion. But I think push comes to shove I think you know you could probably make some for some very nervous time for him. If enough people complain. Frankly -- nice little note from the patriots charitable foundation would be appropriate -- Let's say oh steals assists also their past Stevens really scares me what I feel like the secondary Kobe vulnerable against the colts like the last two years. Remember watching the game and Manny would complete the pass and it wouldn't be a quarterback even in the picture on TV. Maybe they're just playing like that because of the lead -- you know reports. I was I guess so Marcus nitpicking as again this is nitpick Tuesday's and pass defense. I think it you know I guess if you had to look at any any particular aspect of the the events I guess who would have to be the secondary even though I think they've done fairly representative John. I'm really is concerned more with them. Because as a whole in and red zone defense I don't see a lot I don't see appreciable improvement some improvement slight improvement. But don't see appreciable improvement from week 12 weeks of that concerns me. I don't see. I don't see a lot of improvement in the kicking game -- you know it is what it is. But I don't see anything else that concerns me. I see less of production in the running game and yes I know that you know there's been injuries here but it still concerns me. Anything else. The concern. It's not bad it's not horrible. Team is you know number one total offensively the number seven or number eight overall and in rushing offense still. So on the overall -- to say the pictures you know still pretty good but. It's a trend it's a tendency and I don't like the way that it's trendy. And I hope that if something can be adjusted I also like effectively gave up 380 yards of offense to Miami. Garbage time -- not. You are at least 21 points if not more than that better than the dolphins and you need to play like Diane. Since this from Bridgeport, Connecticut John right either spoke about as a very rigid view of right and wrong. He's obviously very angry that bill is not explaining to his satisfaction when he was taping and how the information was used and he's unwilling to accept the league's judgment. We want to dole it -- himself. Brady is only 30 and he has a right to live his own life his own way. A team with a lead always has a right to bring in new an unskilled players to give them experience -- of that leads to more scores that's okay. It's not piling it on its called training. The bottom line is this guy's a bit sick. Diana would tend to agree with the but he can't what you work get in the way. It is you can't let -- get in I'm in don't care what your feelings get in the way of your job. I guess I just I I think that's what tavern in. He's intent is to do nothing but get a rise at a patriots nation. You know okay that's fine but you know you you've. One of these days one of these days what you -- is going to come back to slap you in the face. One of these days you're going to go too far. And he's pushing the envelope with a right here in my own opinion. Greg in South Carolina since they note a copy of a note. Then he apparently emailed to might goal like and Mike Greenberg on Mike and Mike in the morning. Funniest in right. They -- already blown you'll -- So he's an -- email here races -- if you've taken one too many to hit my friend if they're demanding is but it Brady consider the following. Braves won three Super Bowl with barely pedestrian wide receivers okay running backs and makeshift lineman. He did not have much offensive talent around -- his numbers were still better than most of the quarterbacks guys are not getting open and if they did they were not explosive. Having one good receiver like branches in no way as advantageous is having three good wide receivers of the tied in in a running back. He played as well then as he's playing now is numbers are off the -- this year because he finally has a very talented crew around him and you're seeing him reach its true potential. Imagine the numbers he would have put up. He would play for nine seasons like Manny -- the pats existing offensive weapons or and that in the number -- would put up with the colts offensive weapons. Sorry go look Brady has always been better -- is proving it now that he is weapons comparable to the colts get real due to -- amount greening. Thank you Craig. Did they read your email on the air I wonder. I wonder. Actually go except that I'm a little disappointed in him I think we've probably said that just be a contrarian. I mean you know look can we all agree here they're both great quarterbacks -- finally got a Super Bowl. In Brady's finally got talent around them. I think it's fair to say that if you put Tom Brady on Indy the colts would still win and if you brought Payton made into New England the patriots would still win. Isn't arguing whose best a little like saying. What's better for quarters -- a dollar bill. I think that the shame the -- do great things. They may not exactly be the same quarterback but the end result is they both win make them both play well with good talent around them. I mean if you think Brady is better fine if you think remaining is better fine I believe we've kind of gone past his argument and we not. Who wrote this. Nick right this when he -- after seeing the -- Dallas dolphins' games. Tendency in the cold -- I -- great concerns about -- on November 4 match pale about Washington even number one. Are blocking is atrocious in the Dallas game we missed blocked deep in the end zone six times to the point of escape. Not sure what that means we missed block deep in the end zone six times mature than -- any ideas what that means. Oh Connecticut the Marion Barber oh okay maybe. But I it and I mean do blocking -- do with tackling okay. Number two our running game for obvious reasons although we deepen their position down you're three in forest be concerning. Morally that's part who'd be good but quite a fragile player while I have to agree with you there. -- agree with -- that you know you have to be a little bit concerned about the running game because Maroney is not durable. I'm I'm I realize he's not even a season and a half through his professional career but. I get the impression he's been off the field more than he's been on it in his career I mean he's just now. Reached what close to a thousand yards for a career rushing. But think he should've ended their -- and I don't know. I have I should the same concern about the running game is you'd it. It's as number three we gave up more than two touchdowns to Miami. Even though the inordinate time position in Miami it has much to do with the past success in scoring quite fast helping to keep away from our running issues there's no way Ronnie brown should have not been contained in the box he was not. There's no way that we should have not had a couple sacks that we ended up with on the other hand -- in the cold struggle with a good defensive team putting up 20 points allowing only seven. You know the quarterback and back in the game and given all the above Miami concerned pats fan. I'm hoping that the -- can do their usual come up whatever compensating measures are required not to have an undefeated season but to get us to the Super Bowl and win it. Washington will be more difficult test for us than Dallas a game however that I remain confident we win. Albeit a guarded confidence while -- I want agree with the there are -- Dallas is a better team Washington. And at the fact that you've got the Redskins your home on Sunday I definitely think it's in the patriots favor. But certainly the patriots even at this early juncture will win the game on Sunday -- really formulated model a lot of -- you know on the Redskins which I'll be doing over the course the next couple of days. And I'll share a lot of that with you as I'm sure you guys will be sharing with me which is what the show is all about. -- but I don't think it will be more difficult as the Dallas now I'm not buying that at all cowboys were very good test. I think the patriots passed with flying colors but what the patriots have to almost -- guard against themselves. Have to guard against complacency they have remain vigilant all they have to continue to improve there to stay sharp on defense as well as all -- Tackling is an issue on defects. Red -- the prince is an issue. Field position kicking game is an issue the running game is an issue. They're not crises there issues is different. Because they are after all beating people by a minimum of 17 points every. I guess that this is nitpick Tuesday we're pick in -- here. All is well as well as the Kevin bacon says an animal house. It would go this one comes from Chris. Who's in Afghanistan. God bless you Chris stay sick for a Williams has couldn't believe what you were saying projected out whilst on my first night off in five patrolling. Been a fan since 82 as the team closest to the youth today. And don't look at them the rose -- how can anyone whose favorite all time players John -- don't give this jumped up to want to keep it -- and the oxygen of publicity okay sorry about that. Seven and to me for a week I'll show him good versus evil it's a culvert bomb in a crowded food market or an RPG wired. Through a school bless you on foot patrol love to see him have the stomach to write any believable after a week here. Comes from Chris who is from Scotland on. On patrol in Afghanistan. Thank you Chris appreciate that thanks for taking the time to right. It would you know oh Mike from Columbus, Ohio John ironically. And I usually two dolphins beat the patriots 52 it and nothing in Miami on their way to a perfect season. As far as who has run up the score more frequently winning by 20 points or more like the patriots did last week -- dolphins 13 patriots five okay let's go to the score -- you're just briefly go through here on 19674110 dolphins 19683410 dolphins 68387714137252 nothing 734423198034 nothing. On 19923817. So can I get the point good stuff Mike thank you for doing the research that's but I knew that there had to be some instances of Miami running up the score. On knowing when he says what he's -- say about the evil 1972 dolphins running up the score on the -- patriots. Which as your reporter that was 52 to zero Miami. Good email Mike. Good email when ago Jimmy in Orlando since this he says I just have to say this about the patriot -- up yours -- this to say about the upcoming game of the -- remember that barely beat us last year. The much less talented offense and deep -- the addition of Thomas and a receiver core and maybe a little concerned about the -- the gamble on hope that -- Manny early watchman was -- them. All right well Jerry thanks for the email again that's next week save that good stuff for next -- there's another game to play right. I think that may be one of the biggest problems that you have to face this week."

Play from 1:08:45[1:08:45]" Is looking part of this week. It's like many of you are ready to just go right past this week against Washington and go right on the colts why now. I'm little surprised frankly I'm a little surprised."

Play from 1:09:02[1:09:02]" I know that they had done all that won't be any talk anybody tries to bring up the colts. Now we're a clinical this week or play the Redskins."

Play from 1:09:11[1:09:11]" You'll get word one out of them about it not one."

Play from 1:09:15[1:09:15]" wait until next week. That's the biggest thing. We'll see we can follow suit here I mean you know there is another game deployed. We'll told the company line on that you've gotta you gotta worry about the game that's in front of the -- anything about the colts. If you if you start focus on a -- now you're doomed us. To failure. Been stub your toe in would not be awful would need to take the stub your toe against the Washington that you know you should beat. -- what was the early line today 16 heavily in. You know to that would make them what about a 12 or 13 point favorite of the world Washington. 16 here at home. The Redskins are bad they're pretty good what do they foreign to yeah so you know I Stephen Montana from what I've been able -- ascertain pictures have never been charged with -- been found guilty of cheating. The league sanction them for breaking a rule regarding taping during the game that was against the rule. Nothing regarding what was done those tapes has been indicated on the official record all allegations regarding cheating or merely that allegations and unfounded at that. That being said it must be obvious to anyone who is not in the same and be written both the east rookie is in that. His article is simply been used as a vehicle for imploding and irrational rant. I believe that in the long run he will be the one takes the hit for what he's written off the majors is article only served to give -- more motivation to beat the colts as if they need. Thank you Steve Steve Montana. Brian in Jamestown since this is it just me. Or is it Peyton Manning or is Peyton -- impervious to his running up the score nonsense he's been patting his numbers since he's out of the league. But it once you think he's wonderful for. Personally I would love to the patriots brought -- the score every game specifically I'd love to see Tom Brady blow away Manning's records. I ghost of forest say at -- Tom's name in the record books that win another Super Bowl. But -- for -- Ultimately champions are remembered. Records -- you know records. He's got a lot of hard work here he's won three super balls for knowing when it would be great to be able to give something back in the before the form of the all all the single season records like -- okay. Thanks Brian appreciate that. Brian -- He's wearing a phone call over here and okay -- Canon Florida says. How is it possible that no one has mentioned the fact the 1970s dolphins Pete and Pete is not a strong enough word the -- 52 nothing. Ken you'd probably set that right as we were talking about it now. The only time I have ever seen the patch brought up the score was the week 13 game in 1998 hosting the bills. When buffalo refused to take the field for the point after at the very end of the game. Following a -- so colts touchdown. Pete Carroll -- the two point two version of Vinatieri -- in final score that game was 25 point one really tired of hearing that eight Canon for. -- think you appreciate that. You know it all I can tell you about one -- of being tired of here in the hate is is that you know that's what happens when -- up on top people always take shots at the kingpin. And of course the ironic thing about all this is that the patriots are not the defending Super Bowl champions which is why as I mentioned in the opening -- this program today. On the culture 11 that's their love in this -- all the attention go to knowing. And then when we bait them a couple weeks what are nobody that's -- Whatever it that he whatever you want to fix it yourself with that will be fun. But that's just what happens when you know you've steam -- people and you stable people to the extent that. You know to the extent that you know -- you beat them by 17 -- more for seven straight weeks nobody in the NFL -- ever done. Nobody -- I'm afraid I realize you get tired of it but it's going to stay. And they -- the colts in a couple of weeks it's gonna continue to stay and in the course the papers won't be with the beloved patriots they won't be America's team. And that will be everybody in the entire league. Will then be ganged up against the wind."

Yeah lost it was he appears on the show like encountered in any information that he is talking about is like in the about it what I want to ask for lunch. Is it just me or do you see any resemblance when he is there in person with yeah I guess I'd really thought about it -- can see the resemblance. Now I have to admit that I don't think about that I think about who could be in the studio and here instead of Bryant. It and she's not so the way it works you know. I don't want to defend him but he can't really say he's completely out of line. Of course it all started with the video game I'm reading him for years now on I think. A couple of seasons back he was singing praises to the past especially old line composed of who debts. I think we're still on NFL dot com back then. And coming to that I must've been a much more enjoyed the -- back when Weis was the offensive coordinator. They didn't have that much talent but the plays and scheme for downright ingenious in a thriller watch. Back then Brady had an exciting winning last drive every at the game. Seeing as they have you know faced these quarterbacks for the first time right how much more concerned should we big."

Play from 1:25:25[1:25:25]" Well you know in this in the case of Miami. When your -- as much as they wore out not defending that they get up three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. When you're up as much as you are. There's a little bit of that cushion you don't want to get complacent because you know it at Houston Tennessee game there's a -- come back you don't want to get complacent that you you know. If there was 21 to seven go into the fourth quarter. Maybe they'd be a little more buttoned up defensively on but it becoming a bit of a trend of sports tackling they are in the bottom quarter of the week. In yards per carry gets again I think -- 24 in the NFL they're patriots defense. In yards per carry against -- you know you don't want to get into a trap where you're allowed teams to -- run for 55 and a half six yards per carry. It's it's a problem area it's it's one of the few problem areas right now but I think you know. You wonder if they'd still be this bad at the game was close. That's all -- and you know -- a veteran players on this defense who I think you know. Have played 60 minutes of football consistently week in week out on that needed -- look at the scoreboard today aren't we. Where were ahead by quite a bit here and if they weren't they did they do better job what we know it's hard this day for short but they get a lot of offense -- to the dolphins but. You know a lot of it was late in the game."

Play from 1:26:48[1:26:48]" A lot of it was I totally and completely understand the context that I I do it and I think it's but it it is the may be may be the ultimate -- however that they get some yardage -- to -- go -- and -- embarrassing. I not tackling plays that that would be 60 gets very -- they've had a couple weeks now where. Tackling and rushing against have been problem -- while I think that the certainly should give them at least something to work on this week practice I'm sure that it's already. A focused on the hallway so to speak here because. You know we know this that is is is masterful at. Focusing some of these things to keep people motivated and keep people striving to improve."

Play from 1:27:26[1:27:26]" You'll what you almost wonder if -- checked -- away one it is okay with the fact that -- haven't had to do as a sport -- it goes for an affidavit before it at the seventh. You know what does he stated it at least now you can tell you can tell locker after the game the defense was a little disappointed bottom line was they want and they won that's the bottom line. A little disappointed and the fact they relate to Patrick Cobbs in the -- just -- the the world run I crawled into the end zone so did it yeah there's definitely you you did telecheck likes to still have that. You don't go to those points of emphasis they can bring in you know week to week. Odd to avoid let down games into alive -- NATO that they were seven knowing where where at a record pace for points court margin of victory like that. Oh we have won it yet so I always get better you know all you've done -- you've won seven games that's great. As many games you played so so far you're doing well what you haven't won anything yet did you know that if they win this week generate now the prices that -- Good for you -- you know you don't take went for granted and that's going to be proud of the point we have one inning yet and a colts the colts can't be happy that it was -- about the patriots they're going to be out to get -- that's right great no we haven't won anything yet. You know the team and you know trying to motivate your quality of division one college football team who would beat the snot nosed dolphins I think a couple of and there are few there are few the dolphins are are are laughing stock and that's one of two teams represent NFL. And in this week. That's you know that's a little scary by the out of that I realized -- is doing this -- in -- continue to promote and you know because they'd they'd get away with an of -- Europe and I think it's fine it's special team want to give up the home game and believe this is Miami's home game was not it is yeah. We're not the only team for 16 to 13 years -- never believed to be victimized or won't be but that's the plan is every year to have one or two games abroad and it'll all balance out in the ended I guess the -- just yeah. Is like. New York going to you know Seattle or CD it'll probably. Now what if the Broncos -- the chargers -- what partly game what are the site today potentially talking about are we do we really know why I didn't read somewhere that a game in Germany next year down slightly in Kansas City six of those seven or seven of the eight teams -- Europe were based in Germany or -- yeah. Yet to Germany clearly. I guess state defeatism Mark up session for in a reliable right now where else in the you gotta be careful here because you can't beat the giants and dolphins both have their bye week next week and they -- archer that's. Part of the plan for every game and we brought this trip and then have your bye weekend an extra trip that's only fair and it and that that makes sense but. On depending on how how far and wide they go on at that that's a tough spot. It's tough to ask an NFL team to what do that an end and you know it's having the -- which helps but the bye week he's almost taking it consume totally by. Readjusting to the time zone all of that is supposed to purer football arrest you know I mean so. We'll see amateur what other sites are and there are editor I've said I think -- the topics that the current NFL owners owners' meetings -- where they've already announced that they changed their tweaking the tree trees -- you have that we started we have really had a chance to get today about the general by the -- as of now the pitcher to the top 11 graphic. Top 11 separate pieces -- I took according to take a little bit of way overdone the equipment today it's different as to who wins -- era 11 teams with tour fewer wins so as of now the company doesn't that the that that the 49ers would be a couple of FYI -- and keep -- those matters to go down to New Zealand for Trent Dilfer in a quarterback and that's it for free -- productive the story."

Because of the over six hours and what was that six hours eight minutes with the first round was this about that -- today in other words it was after 6 O'Clock brought about 65630 on Saturday it's still two more rounds to go get it right. So the and the second round time per pick in the first round will be cut from 15 minutes to ten minutes. The second round is going to be shortened from ten minutes to seven minutes per select what and that's all built on for -- starting at 3 O'Clock eastern I think it out and -- O'Clock eastern time on a Sunday I two rounds right and then you'll have rounds three through seven on Sunday right and you'll still only have five minutes between six."

A bomb or there will be a prime time -- well personal you know start three at 3 PM so what that means is that probably finish up right before primed and -- that the idea -- by about four hours do you think of that Morales so late afternoon into the evening and then the entire entirety -- and -- more like. You know -- a -- more like 10 O'Clock instead of 111130 as it had been so they do the drip was started 10 AM instead of 11 okay. So let's look at next round of four because the extra round so they want his only two rounds -- the three it's certainly don't like it as long as. As long as every team. Is in the same boat as far as how much time they have I think it makes sense to do it this way it's better from here perspective on eight I should say necessarily better but. -- to have -- move along quicker you know definitely helps in you know ESPN always finds a way to fill that that about a time but -- a move things along a move things along quicker and you know you can now as as much time the -- your if your team is drafting 30 in the first round hole you know a couple hours less you have to wait. Play from 1:35:42[1:35:42]" Later in the day right which should also mention that the money Monday night game next week may be moving up the kickoff time NFL announced today that because there's a World Series game a game five. But between the Sox in the Rockies next week that other talking about moving game habits in Denver next -- I take it to the -- at Denver -- the reason for that."

Play from 1:36:02[1:36:02]" Must be that they want the football game. They they want the football game to end. For two to be guaranteed to end. Before the baseball game and is it because they're worried I assume that Denver viewers if the World Series games ending around him that the football game. They are watching World Series this way they might be able watch conine Aurilia. So by congratulating Red -- you know when the American league yes he did you do you did do that on the -- I'll -- finished the game is at Denver. This said the Monday night game is going to start at 6 PM 6 PM 6 PM Denver time alternate witches -- would be about ten minutes says which is 8 PM eastern time normally the game would began at 630 mountain time right. So it's not a dramatic change here now talking half an hour now that the so it if it if that's our game as far as the World Series it's it's as if there is right -- to be in Denver. Exactly -- By about 830 right now roughly so. I mean they would have been starting -- what my -- but he's the first the ball they be playing down the street from each other right I don't know how that's going to happen. I mean they have they haven't set a starting time for game five World Series personal we don't know we're gonna get there but even if we do. I mean if money -- football can play that night witness stand to reason that baseball put the game when maybe like afternoon. Baseball yeah. There's no way baseball that afternoon -- they're going to have to compete in games but I don't other in the I think I think James is baseball's bright thinking at worst thing where we are. Like football change there's where the where the big deal that. I think baseball not. It -- that they're -- they're the World Series if you're looking at an 8 O'Clock start okay don't like 8 O'Clock eastern time right or actually 820s when they've been through on the first pitch -- you're talking about six point Denver time right. And that's going to go right smack dead straight up against Monday Night Football right that's why I'm a little confused by the tweaking the -- 98 -- half an hour I would've figured that either at bat -- You know you know achieved that by an hour to and I don't see baseball team in baseball is notorious I think for all these little baseball -- a -- because -- But they are not going to move the game out of prime time on the east coast is just not going to happen right that's of saints with a -- advertisers don't like baseball -- baseball baseball's such notable baseball play so I think baseball's thinking at worst and we -- policy change go right and that's why we're on in this money and I moved as a making more strike to me either right. Makes no sense why would they do -- with a number of 30 minutes. I don't I don't know if you're going right smack -- up against the baseball game of what you do -- only thing okay you're going to kick Roberts or both start at 6 O'Clock. It's not the only thing I can think is that. Football thinks that that half hour change. We'll allow more people. To watch all of or most of the football game in and still be able watched the last two or three innings of baseball -- you know that happens. That was my understanding that there would be no matter you know we've already dealt with too much -- that I would say this available -- be sports -- in Denver. Yeah I'm pat and I. Opt out of -- for both him loose up at while that's also true maybe didn't -- open that day both teams could go right around attributed nuggets open that day. I think you know maybe I have ads are planned at then and then I did at Colorado rapids did not make the playoffs and fortunately so there won't be competing with soccer Andy Vermont says all right John you're right don't overlook the Redskins and it you know that the 1950 -- hold the all time scoring record at 38 point eight points per game. And not the viking era -- his reported. And the patriots -- slightly ahead married well. The rams. Record in 1950 is points per game the vikings is total points scored when you're different number of games -- numbers game different numbers to a point for Davis overwork those are two of records right."

Play from 1:39:55[1:39:55]" Points per game is what -- 14 or 16 at bat at a point per game average is pretty impressed by adding that the better want to look in the patriot for an hour 39 point something. Okay this and -- seven games seven games it it's pretty made an expert in Indian not the yard. -- that Brady's totals the pace that he -- Yeah he's one touchdown -- shy of his own career high for season. So most likely most likely he sets a new career high for touchdown passes this season. -- it's you know that's pretty extraordinary but his pace -- mean obviously he -- innings touchdown record if he keeps up the the completion percentage Mark you -- shattering that record. The maybe the one that's most intriguing to look yet it doesn't get the tension because comic touch as he's on pace to throw fewer than five interceptions all year it's you know you can't throw. You can't throw a fraction of an exception. But he's on pace like four point six interceptions now -- 16 game season. And Buehrle threw five interceptions. It's a pretty impressive number I'd bet -- and it's remarkable -- that Grady is more impressed by that or when it to get him about it a truthful moment he'd be more proud of that. And the -- specter earlier downfield -- Right now it's ordered up for grabs in double coverage and expect and Randy moss to come down with a ball and -- are getting picked off and it to Brady's credit. You know when he's asked about you know -- pupil leave how many touchdown -- you have the pitcher on. Easter Sunday night. How can I take credit I'll throw it up and act -- catching it. I'll throw a five yard pass to Donte' Stallworth. And he just speaks to hammer Morales all like he could god let him off like a pop up and get how can I be taken credit for the having at least Brady Anderson hit -- it's not all Tom Brady but much you know in the same in the same manner in interceptions are not always call him so it's -- There's some other other players and actors involved here what you -- going. The whole season for five -- interceptions that would be more remarkably little what I don't I I didn't look specifically at this number. But I don't I don't know he's on pace to act more than a dozen times a year. He's only been stacked -- he was set with a two or three against Dallas and he might have he might."

Play from 1:42:29[1:42:29]" I have six or seven right he was ready with --"

Play from 1:42:34[1:42:34]" I want to say he was only sacked six times six times in six games so okay morsels seven seven games I yeah I didn't I knew he had only two or three go into the Dallas game tonight at seven and seven right so he's on pace for about it to be exact about 15 times less than -- at. When he -- Baxter and now yeah series to -- on. -- just just just caught what you showed up on time we would I don't know powers I don't should you know. William and -- it William in Hattiesburg, Mississippi says what a great year to be a patriot fans despite gate scandals are. To tighten the bond recruitment fans the -- our coach in our players to support them until the end. I believe we have on improving teams every week -- the past haven't beaten the reds incidents like 1972 is that right all you know I don't know. I believe that that could be a motivating factor."

Play from 1:43:22[1:43:22]" What I don't play them. All that out they don't always played them a lesson plan was 3 so. We both get from our microphone estate -- I am I -- radio is that enough that the driver's radio odd W you know. It would do with the current schedule the with the way the -- scheduled go if you play a team in the opposite conference every four years -- I'm sure since 1972 they've only played it you know six or time or the patriots all time against Washington -- one and six they've only played themselves out of that hole. The first meeting was 1972. So it'll last and they beat them was the first time clippers have never played him. And the last time they played was 3. And that's right it's possibly a couple weeks ago going to Dallas game that -- that was -- when it's Steve spurrier. It was like his last winners as well as it was a coach it was also the last patriots lost before their NFL record it'll record when streaks are intelligent little embarrassed it was -- Steve spurrier maybe -- and I'll ever get."

Play from 1:44:24[1:44:24]" It motivated percents yeah so 72 is correct then William. I believe that could be a motivating factor believe we stay sharp and finish this week -- don't know I'd like you guys to explain to me why we -- being criticized for running up the score. The Miami Dolphins not pay their players millions to stop us. -- their coaches receive a salary to come up with a game plan to stop us also I believe we will receive a top five draft bigbie is San Francisco what a great and considering the sanctions despite it who would you that we might well we won't get to that just yet."

Play from 1:44:54[1:44:54]" But how about let's start -- the why are we being criticized running up the score it's to not story the Miami Dolphins. -- seen several quotes and Zach Thomas I was in the locker room I was in the dolphins' locker room and her exact -- status he was asked about you know. The two minute offense at the end of the first that you'd ask about you know what a Brady coming back in the in the fourth quarter. He wasn't offended by that at all. All he said was we gotta stop someone before worry about they were running up the score. I hit the reason it's a non story note the golf that that the cowboys had some choice words I think with -- likely touchdown with 19 seconds left. The dolphins all time right there is no more times do we after you claim that these are not -- are not called time on the clock run -- right. All of say it is there's that -- the cowboys chose to make some comments the dolphins. Every quote I've seen. They have no problems with the with the patriots do. It's two teams try to win a game if any thing. The dolphins and other teams should look at it as a sign of respect. The patriots thinking that hey this NFL team or play against they have the ability to come back just like we had the ability to come up with this many points in the first place. I think they should take it as a sign of respect Zach Thomas had no problem that it's -- NFL teams try to win again and you can you do what you gotta do to win the game it's a non story. You don't want I don't. Any criticism. At least in this instance I don't it's from the dolphins the dolphins understand I think. That they stink and they've got to figure out how to stop teams before they worry about. Whether or not there running up the score. By that yeah as far as of the top five draft pick -- San Francisco -- Marty suggested already right now it's -- what I. I yelled we that was speculation of how well or -- that the foreigners into the rest the way. But I don't draft were tomorrow what that's what it would -- when I saw the news about the draft changing I I eat ice it myself. I know but I don't that the niners are struggling let's see how bad they are and their two wins four to a -- they had their body to a four. And that they are 11 teams who have 01 or two wins which means that they'd they'd be topple lower than 11 -- 11 and the niners are trending downward right now Trent Dilfer as long as he's the starting quarterback he's done nothing for them frank gore has been unproductive -- that team it is not in good shape right now. And died there isn't much resentment sure exactly what their schedule is there isn't much reason to think that they're going to drastically were dramatically improve this year. I'm so where did that being I don't know -- to be a starter its top five top seven I don't think so there are some bad teams out there I don't think that the niners can get the level of Miami saint Louis I think those two teams might be able Lockheed won two it's a mortar. On but the niners that that's of the look for tiger patriots fans. I'd down the stretch is check out those -- scores at night you know any any any excitement that was lost by the dot punishment despite -- that scandal. Can be reversed by the -- Portland who do you think we might -- Well across the -- you know. Well I think quarterback obviously his position to let it -- you know they haven't drafted -- why we're -- we're not we're not having actually -- kind of you know -- you know it's sort of a running joke here sometime you know they're going to -- the -- that the -- the first infiltrated the way it works they'll gallery might attribute that America -- the -- down Beltre who wanted to next year don't build up that. I don't think they want top that it's not a lot of David Jack now so eight that's actually good point I think they're I think the B and that's another that's another situation that -- that yet felt looks at. I go for it might be something that you really do much about it -- but it BA's do but that it's staggering how much first round not his first -- that first round top five -- executing it. Hop before they've proven anything. And not yet I don't think that the patriots are too interested in giving today. -- to -- and say quarterback who's done nothing in the NFL you know 20 whatever million dollars I think bonus. Interest in that so Greg."

Play from 1:48:59[1:48:59]" And South Carolina since another -- says it's obvious talk about the Greg easterbrook column it's obvious this guy is in need of hug. He says I think would be a good idea to have dribble and like bring the guy fruit basket I. Easterbrook is insignificant and moronic I would have thought that a guy who uses the words of right. To describe Tom Brady would have been able to find the source who would have used the word creepy dozen times. To further -- more on this guy as his number two instead of the weak points out that the titans had to kick a last second field to pull out game which they led 3270. He's moaning and groaning about us running up the score in one breath and then highlights the fact. The teams are capable of coming back and blowing largely near the end of his idiotic colony suggested -- tickets are responsible but the point spread being only 16 and a half. And that the pats at a recent run of the score. He -- sure easterbrook is not Felder -- named"

Play from 1:49:51[1:49:51]" that I -- that's actually pretty that I like that -- that's interest -- him well you know that's it. Debt points about that the Houston Tennessee game what was going on the same time it patriots dolphins. Let's all go check the points -- what. You know two NFL teams are playing each other what it meant to 30 whatever point lead and the other one comes back. Now granted the gap between the patriots and dolphins is much wider and that. The gap between the titans in the EI. And the taxes on but the perspective of the patriot it is. It's weird NFL team and we can score 42 points and a half. And the keyboard playing yet also an NFL team has the capability of scored 42 points as well. -- bell -- check at some jams post game press conference -- amateur if you. If you're watching hitters -- but he I was giving him. That he got al -- watching it and it's not and I don't get -- follow laughter from the Rome what it was great line. Yes he's got an out of I don't get the flow of that press conference there was an initial question about. You don't -- Brady coming back into the game there. Guy after Cassell threw that interception and you know politics gets his we're struggling to try to win game a few other follow ops. -- acceptable and one reporter said well but the score was 42 to 20 want. And politics said that I was giving him."

Play from 1:51:17[1:51:17]" Acknowledge it Lloyd Wright Graham what I -- it would initially said was yeah it was 42 point one in one more interception return for a touchdown it's a 14 point game in the fourth quarter in the middle fourth quarter. I was -- And he he -- what you start getting into a 14 point range expect dot dot -- fluke here there. You know I mean what you're just you're just trying to win the game they'll block it all. What was -- much chance that the dolphins were going to come back you can't objectively think so is it possible have stranger things happen. I was drinking younger it's -- not story because to me. The dolphins had no problem. It's upset the dolphins didn't think it was right scored dolphins understood that it's -- NFL teams try to win a game on matters and yet to talk about yourself. I hope we can put that -- rest now it'll come back. You will come back when they blew it eliminates aren't for the buffalo or Miami or JETS at some point in time during the latter part of the year which they ought to play at least one more time quality you know what will come back -- the jets. Don't be merciless or I guarantee you that'll be -- If you if you want the papers to hang half a hundred on somebody this year I think that would be the game that you'd look for yeah if they score 42 points in the first after that game. I guarantee you scored more than seven in the second Williams -- guarantee absolute castle might not -- then they they operate they they scored 60 in. Get the record books out fancy you you might want to think about that put a little something on the over yet I don't wrap up. At the record books out for points at a big yards in the game argue that there -- that will be the whole deal element of the whole -- are below what some patriots today you know -- title that about Willie intrudes and it is not played -- now in in some circumstances when you have a a kickoff return for a touchdown completely demoralized the team and all that. -- especially when it's on the road while in this case they're more patriots and dolphins it's -- important that was. Nonetheless it was a great play -- talk a bit about BI on the defensive side deficiencies tackling all -- acted out a couple of Murillo. In studio as well how about that finally what do you guys post that on the -- you know the beauty of the website is it is -- specific it's gotta be at 5 O'Clock but generally in the 6 O'Clock range. -- go home. Absent dinner you relax you turn on the you know you turn on the Internet narratives so usually by around six usually in the what you usually Sammy Internet and that early after I -- the worst view of right the -- worst video ever made is put up around 6 O'Clock that's what they're some -- some other people down there right. What that. That's the name. Where's video of this that was the worst welcome to today's edition of the wars video ever made up. Actually catching a project yeah probably more people watch according to T shirts of you should it got a little Mark but it worked on that -- is -- put -- that picture on it reasonably all right MI picture to right. Good point good point people confuse you with Jared from subway they do they do hopefully be after -- out of in the before -- that is not. Ever seen the ball forward Jared by the way out ever seen a picture sure a biggie relies. I don't remember that it was then some like the early commercials -- I I think the commercials have only in the after but the show still photos they -- you -- like they do in the Michael extra yelled at Michael nutrasweet what is your system and whatever moves on and --"

Play from 1:54:48[1:54:48]" Like that good can I don't think all right thank you -- with Christina I won't do that right right. Of the same bat time same bat channel tomorrow we'll have via conference call Joe Gibbs at radio Redskins player to be named it. We'll probably get inside the patriots locker rooms and other special surprises on certain. Inside the playbook -- on Wednesday"
