Play from 0:00[0:00]" Let's go let's go let's go -- without golf -- want to -- pot pie. That they've won mirror excuse patriots -- welcome back got combat all. Breaking down last Sunday's game -- man coverage and -- yeah. And I thought on the seventh round next at least you're ready for the great Jack do okay we'll give them money on third floor every. Great for the rest of the 2000 and it -- because of the and some of the plug stuff in between. Didn't quite turn out --"

Play from 0:42[0:42]" Opened the way that we. That many of at least thought it was going to turn out on Sunday nevertheless. A win is a win is a win is a win and you've got the only undefeated team in the NFL now at nine and -- with a five week we will -- you inside the playbook. For a Tuesday it is week number ten in the NFL with the with the patriots get off probably could not come up. At a better time John rookie would -- dot com radio and there are many many things to get into. Take a little bit of time today to sort of kind of reflect. On where this team stands nine weeks. You know we've already done a little bit above the hole you know could they."

Play from 1:20[1:20]" Possibly go -- 16 an opening and that's going to be a prevalent conversation I think to take over the course the next. You know seven or eight weeks I'm not so sure that's really were going to go although you have your thoughts on your thoughts are always welcome patriots web radio at patriots dot com email address web radio -- patriots dot com the telephone number if you'd like to call in fact if you've never done it. This is a good way to do it leading into the by week 5 wait 5437482. Again 585437482 with a telephone number. Uh oh we will recap Witt Brian Lowe from patriots today is scheduled to Jonas in the second hours in on Liz on Tuesday's as well. But I kind of take stock on things don't take a look at some things almost but army oppositional nature today take a look at. Certainly what's going well but what may not be going well because those of you who normally get a chance to tune into the program two -- realize that this is what we called nitpick Tuesday. And so what we do is we like to pick lots of and it's around here if any thing. We may be just should follow the lead the other of the way the team is going to call this humble pie Tuesday. -- because of all the humbled by teacher it's still a problem in the locker. So humble -- Tuesday nitpick Tuesday whichever you prefer that will be part of what we're going to go to they would today's discussion I want you to pick yet again for me. One aspect of this whole nine in those starts. One aspect of this night -- start that just doesn't sit well with you and this could be on the field. Off the field it could have to do with marketing it could be because you think you know any heart from POW progress blows I mean giving everything right. He could just I mean whatever whatever doesn't sit well with you. Through nine weeks. That's what I want to talk about today. Part of nitpick Tuesday. Humble pie Tuesday here patriots dot -- I'm very happy to be joined today by -- young man who -- mention all of this to you last week this week was going to be sort of the futures week here. On -- patriots playbook I am privileged to teach class in Sports Radio an Emerson College this is the all moderate one and only Fred -- editor in chief of patriots football weekly in in running things the patriots dot com. And Fred of courses is very much into load in taking care of the student from his alma -- especially the ones that are talented and I haven't have considerable talent once who have been able to chisel some time out of their very busy college schedule around. Clauses we miss him today and they're going to join us here both today and on Thursday is will be joining us suited as a gentleman the name of Tom -- It's not money you know like the mayor of Boston but it's close and you'll accept old jokes of course yes it is cool clothes and let -- graduate of thanks for this is fantastic to to be here and a you know where it's like offers perspective -- to live -- I tried to do that early in the year and everybody thought you know I think for the most -- people -- the only you can -- is -- on the kicking game and it's it's pretty bad you know -- yeah yeah it's an impact things are going pretty well we'll -- it will get into some of that because. There are obviously a lot of other issues today over what transpired on Sunday in Indianapolis that people are still buzzing about number one has to do with the fact that allegedly the colts were accused at least initially piping sound into the stadium. On during the course the game which course the NFL has now debunked however CBS has admitted as much now that it was their problem and -- CBS has done for the uninitiated was done in case you hadn't heard the story based on a couple of sources that I vote -- and spoken with today a lot of times television production they. Bring in some what they call ambience around and they do it in order to fill gaps based on where they placed their pro ball microphones on the field of a long story short. Sometimes from the crowd is low. They bring up the crowd was just to keep that even were it doesn't sound distorted in where some times they don't have to ride the announcers microphones all. Terribly technical. You know but this but it always is you know little bit about this going through in a radio production electorate and -- the sound of machine. It's basically computer the computer that was in control of filling in the gaps in the noise. -- and that's what you heard what you did on television although it was not audible apparently to anybody in the stadium and unfortunately much as I'd like to believe Lenny Clarke was on WBI earlier this morning -- six. I now on I don't approach I I don't know if he really knew what he heard because chances are he was already three sheets the wind anyway so right. You know but the paint the thing is is that whether you know. I realize that this gives. Patriots fans of the the kind of complain about oh are we had spike -- in the year that people want to call this some. Audio gate or please pray whatever that article that spot. But it's not really the colts problem although the colts have long have been accused of doing the very thing that initially they were accused of don't. This is not the first time has come up I personally tend to believe top. That where there's smoke there's always a little bit of fire and soul -- and we talked about this backwards by -- in -- on the patriots guilty of something yup probably. Are they doing anything that somebody else doesn't do no probably not doesn't make it right. But -- published some two and one thing that I always stand for is. Take the two extremes take both sides of the story the answer is always where -- where Amanda exactly right so there's got to -- a little. You know some sparks here this is concerned and maybe CBS is the guilty part of the fact is somebody piped in some audio we're probably should not meant. Attitude that the fact that the patriots never had their coach to quarterback communication during the course of the game. And -- audio gate thing takes a little bit different matter know again this is something the patriots. Have long been accused of being guilty of opposing teams not having the communication between neither the sideline in the press box or between the coaches and the quarterback you know -- we -- green -- chancellor -- that's because they're the ones that have the radio receivers in the helmet in case you know that another habit that probably did know so. What it does here since his comments fuel to the rivalry fire."

Play from 7:49[7:49]" Of that but as it did it that would most of the of the first first and foremost. You know. The colts are legal team it's been accused of pumping out -- Steve Williams have been accused -- back when it was doing his thing with the rams that was something that people complain about it also. How many times have -- to an NHL game NBA game. You see the the noise meter on the jumbotron and no one has yelling around you honestly. That's gone to that point I wanted to right -- watch the noise -- okay you know loud very loud. Carded -- level you know whatever happens on the games and especially as lousy. You know nobody was nobody is moving out so that it it certainly does add a -- where I believe it's may be wishful thinking at this point now that the network has come out and really they should -- probably don't have any real -- In this issue towards the patriots Oracle's so that I'm coming out and in hitting that it was there -- problem -- fault really -- kills all story but you're right it is it really does add yet another element to this interesting story line between two teams that are forming an incredibly competitive rivalry that was the most intense regular season game. I have watched it a very long time and can even tell on the field on the field. These guys. Both these teams won this game so bad when patriots finally locked it up you saw everybody in the -- sidelines celebrating more than they usually do for a regular season that exactly for a team that's been there before and has been there more than anybody else in recent memory for react like that it just shows how important -- was doing team so. I mean yeah this is this earth orbit -- it would go because you know maybe eat. You know Big -- of patriots fans feel that. Little spiky thing is really you know it's it's one of those things like -- for a guy like that is -- that's what's fueling this but you're right it does -- Another interesting element -- the patriots colts -- ivory which. I think it is getting even better and better every year it is."

Play from 9:52[9:52]" And I am beginning to see now some signs of life in this rivalry like I -- back in the 1970s when the Dallas Cowboys in the Washington Redskins with a big rivalry espn.com and got a big spread over the course last week over rivalries in the NFL and al. Nothing really has been the same largely since that'll cowboys can probably when Tom Landry was coach of the cowboys and George Allen was coach -- the Redskins -- They went nuts on each other for you know pretty much close to 15 almost 20 years you could make a lesser case for you know maybe the the 49ers in being involved though with a rivalry in the cowboys again and and that that we talk about the east coast bias yeah -- as athletic -- he's always been very good rivalry over the years it's been very good rivalry but I think you know and rivalries get magnified in the sense of rivalry is heightened. When both teams are really good year -- and you -- and we really I don't think have had anything like that in the NFL four an extended period of time since -- would skin's starting at about 1970. And I'd say probably going right up until about 8586 and when that time frame and that of course cowboys got good again in the early 90s after they had some real down year from Tom Landry initially left. Beyond the colts I don't know I guess you can probably -- the culturally haven't had some a real rival. Probably since the days in Baltimore when they were rivals with a New York Giants minute talk about the greatest game ever played as a way before yours or my time here. They talk about the greatest game ever played in the National Football League was 1956 in the champ -- between the colts and the giants they made a movie out of it viewers of the movie diner. On the ever so I don't know you'll do yourself a favor and check that movie on dvd. Because it's about just a group of guys that basically hang out at a diner but there were all colts fans. And course the whole movie was basically on the being colts fans in anticipation of this 1956 NFL chabot your game so it's a me. The thing is is that. That was a rivalry back in the old days you know way back and we'll talk of throwback days right. Of the colts have had an equal rival since then. Until now. Wall and I think that's to me that's part of the great intrigue here for people who are long for fans -- long time and the infield it is now. You got something you can sink your teeth into little bit. The other thing here is that anticipate the fact that these two teams are all our our. Going to face each other in the sure at some point."

Play from 12:17[12:17]" When was the first brother the second round or the AFC championship there's a very good possibility that it could happen again. While not not at Pittsburgh hesitant to say about it because the way Pittsburgh played. Last night they're going to factor -- Pittsburgh is a paper tiger at at well -- ever tiger well okay but also you have to look at other teams in the -- you know the titans are a quiet six and two how that happened I have no idea about your point about the colts and I haven't had a real rivalry you know the colts up until. For five years -- his career where horrible French and it would with the exception of what with the exception of hardball in the one year today they had that ridiculous march it in the policies and the colts haven't hit it good rich -- at all so all fans fans of the longtime fans who paid realize what Apache they were because I have -- east when I don't divisional right. Finals here -- and actually that's another reason why these two teams muscle weight which is why it's it's. It's -- it's almost scary how he's -- easily than now you know -- and did exactly I don't know where -- basically saved the franchise where it was good. Like that after that horrible year that I -- future the colts -- but. This is just it's it's it's one of those things where it's -- upon robberies in sports nowadays anyways because. Okay winning obviously is important the city's passion for the team is obviously important. But the players are just -- important and how today's NFL to have the consistency of players. Getting grudges against one another individually accurately you rivalry on its own free agency so much player movement it's almost impossible to for those type of player versus player grudges that really helped make rivalries what they are and I think yours that now these two teams have locked up their key players. On both sides of the ball and now they're starting to play year after year the year in what every year now is the most hyped regular season game. Bar -- it's it really is becoming the perfect lap -- as a right now. It it it it really apartment robbery in sports when you think about it."

Play from 14:22[14:22]" And you continue to find I think the schedule makers in the NFL make sure that the cowboys are skewed the cowboys the patriots and the COLT -- want to -- Absolutely absolutely -- how many how many people -- not 6% of the country saw that gave you know -- this -- if you win your division than you're automatically supposed -- against the of the divisional winners in your league and then of course the other you can't do anything about the out of division opponents because it's on a rotating basis. So -- the patriots and colts remain the top of their divisions they will face each other every year even sell if they never wore -- of course that that obviously adds fuel to the fire but even if they weren't I think that -- put him on the schedule."

Play from 15:00[15:00]" They shouldn't have to do I mean are we look at look at -- the of the -- interest from teams that team's fans who honestly. It doesn't affect their Iran does affect their team at all teams -- fans or from the NFC whose teams are already out of -- obviously it was -- it's been I guarantee you this logic that about that it because that was what that's all they heard all week long and for good reason and for -- for once the game. Lived up to the -- that that is what that was the thing that was most satisfying to me was this game actually lived up all the hype and pomp and circumstance."

Play from 15:35[15:35]" We at all we are. I would ask do you really think so because I -- from from the patriots perspective I think a lot of fans here expected this game to be -- wider margin. In what turned out I'm not terribly surprised I predicted 34 point. That's what I said what -- for the game I was I was off by ten points. And I was off -- ten largely because the patriots got shelled for a 146 yards in penalties. Which is a franchise record and at some of the most horrid officiating that I've seen in a long time. On an infield Theo yeah this is the two army -- excuse a lot of bad calls. You you can look the other way all the calls so you know what breaks even out over the course the year. But they were just too avidly horrific horrific calls that were involved in that game and the most horrific which was -- numbers Colin Ellis Hobbs. I I thought that that play may have been one of the worst calls I have seen in NFL officiating crew that make a determination on will certainly since there is three -- came into play maybe in the last 1015 years he did everything. That I've been able to read in the and because in my own knowledge of bubble that have been able to surmise it everything you teach a defensive back to do opposition. -- turn is that I eat everything there was no extension they arms there was no contact initiated by him that I mean it was a fair picture. Perfect like the other call was the offensive interference but call on Randy -- almost -- well the reason in on. It was bad in particular because moss never extended his arms and never pushed off. And Randy moss surely has a right to go to the ball and if anything. You give the benefit of the doubt to the -- offensive players when going after a ball that is being basically a jump ball."

Play from 17:18[17:18]" And and how often do you any bonds not come -- al Wada and that's and you know one interesting point is is you know. You talk a lot a lot of sports but our players get a reputation. Bonds has reputation of being notorious for office the passion appearance that gets away with a lot. Just by the way he plays like that that also factor into it but to throw one more -- there that wasn't even -- all just happened Faulk on third and 20 what Kevin Faulk got -- Go over the middle that was -- that was absolutely horrendous use operating in the robberies face the other for a good reason that. Call honestly I mean we're watching at home and I will never ever be a refereed for anything but. It was it was so. Obvious that the five yard cushion that I'll let the players as -- to get out -- want. From the line of scrimmage was simply infringed upon it was not practically on the ground which ironically is the rule of Napoleon fought -- Patriots today is is receivers in 3 so exactly and and that call I think was the was the worst noncallable -- far away and granted okay it was it was obviously -- down. You know good coverage right Indianapolis play -- Ottawa for Faulk and okay they probably got the first unless Faulk broke three tackles but that's -- appointment -- it is. The rule rules brokerage -- it should have been a penalty on the play it should have been. He could he even called could even called sensible on the way that the way the ball so. You're right there with the officiating crew. Was horrible and it's it's it's bad for for us to say because you know patriots dot com you know all auditors the especially the papers lost all there just make excuses the officials and everything while. If it you know if we check the history books -- the Indianapolis has done a little bit of complaining about officials -- I I I think they did that so much so they had to change the rules for."

Play from 19:09[19:09]" There are many of us around here that have heard bill poli and in this very press box. You know yeah banging us you know okay so I mean it's a two way street -- exactly it's an absolute two way streets it's not so much. Is I don't think it's so much of sour grapes or or whatever you want to say I mean fact is is that the patriots won the game. You turn on you move on and now the goal is just keep when and where you can achieve secure home field advantage and give you give yourself. The best opportunity to do what you set out to do before the start of the season that is to winning Super Bowl and to get back on top -- in everything else is just super it was over the houses. So much cannon fodder everything else is just dressed window dressing -- the bottom line and that's what the guys demo hallway are most interested now. Couple of other things that. Want to get into in addition to being our normal nitpick. Slash you know humble pie Tuesday in finding one aspect one aspect of this nine -- start. That you did just does not sit well with you -- could beat any thing. It could be. A player's attitude it could be you know you're still embarrassed by spike gate he could be you know what ever it is maybe you're upset with the punter on the -- I don't know maybe -- that would -- answer. Don't know. What ever aspect of this nine -- start to this football team. You have that you're not saddled with that's what I want you to email us about today web radio -- patriots dot com okay good good bye week topic here. And so will that pick and will humble pie and will do this will be that thing is I wanna. Winning big game is -- I mean when -- series game is -- and you know you've got to watch whether it's the pats -- if -- if you're into the Sunday night game with a Monday night game whatever. Do you like watching it by yourself. Or do you watch it would of the people this is such a tough argument. This really is about well that that's why I ask you because I'm one of those as you know and I'm I'm I'm using this -- case appointment -- my story here knowledge -- but I -- but here's the thing. Sunday I head. A charitable function to attend to okay. And inevitably right during the middle game it was some that I had already committed to I knew the patriots colts game on this day. But we turned into a football function it was basically tailgate party at an indoor facility in downtown promised raise money for charity. We had members of the patriots alumni there an in all kind of thing was great and we had -- he has boxing ring card girls of their. -- so it greatly at RTL is an awesome party great great day here's the thing. You know I was obviously involved with a lot of the -- that that that's part of what I do for a living and I really didn't have as much time to pay attention as I want to do. Not only because I had duties to daycare which I was obligated to do but I kept him and have people come opened in or you think about this -- what about that they -- requested that what -- the what. I'd really have a chance living things it and so so I am one of those that when it comes down to a big game for instance Super Bowl parties. Don't like move don't I don't like them -- I have to -- it. At home in front of my widescreen okay and of myself out of my wife want to come into the room and watch the game they cannot speak. If you speak you will be ejected. Ejected ejected from the premise rejecting your outfit -- Yes I am wow I am one of those that would win a big game is on I needed to watch it nevermind the fact. That it's my job to talk about that game for entire week after the game is played. Which it is it is. But I just I can't. -- pick up the little things I -- look for the little things in game you know the penalties that we were talking about it in the play -- fault that you're talking about dominant in -- I mean I have to you know -- there and sometimes -- notepad you know about all of this would be good talk about this is -- what about you know and that level of moped that I can kind of refer back to a case on this thing -- In my warped brain you know I've kind of forget stuff myself from C Harris. It was humorous I don't can't remember -- Oh here -- what I -- that okay -- a little different I would've -- out my -- bleed -- it starts with the rest and then actually that I like -- yeah I realized that I realize this is the Internet but I still -- some good I'm -- so I -- was -- yesterday humble -- to they're very gutsy -- pick up on the team very very quickly although -- one of those guys that has to sit -- I have -- like. In misery in my own little but a pile of misery that they want the game I really don't like being out of public watching games. Now what how do you how do you."

Play from 23:41[23:41]" Go for well this is this is a tough topic because obviously parties are fun you don't get to a party early. -- perfect example is is actually this past Sunday. Patriots play the colts. -- before the game. You know a lot of other sports on ordinary at the Packers the -- on as well pretty good game it Diego Minnesota. Adrian Peterson putting on a show is just a great and of course the Celtics one as well plus local sports talk stuff going on so. Up until 4 O'Clock at parties pretty good I'm enjoyed it you know it's it's it was obviously with that -- give -- much tension rebate. You know kids that he okay -- the football game watcher but you're actually right because when the game starts in the BI find is that as the game goes on. I've become less a social the people say a lot because they don't like watching games with me. Because they'll they'll they'll -- subjectivity. College you that an idea I -- won't answer them -- you busy trying to listen to to the broadcast it's it's tough I've ever rejected."

Play from 24:36[24:36]" Path I've never done that I it's I've never -- the only little kid idiot in my that it eulogize part of epitomize what would you look over your shoulder. Look at that guy up there and yes I got one word that comes to mind what do you salad. That's Martin and -- Of course -- the Kansas football coach and obviously they're having an unbelievable year it was -- mixed -- whatever -- email letting -- you're no good -- looks like -- half of his offensive line is -- a huge person whatever -- does make them play like -- play and let them -- let -- in 76 -- Nebraska -- you know -- well I -- For a guy who you know. -- like negro -- is that -- college football as the 76 points -- what it means you know have us how the that will lower. I was a bubble Bud -- you don't know what you know is important when jeans looked like Cuba for a I think that may be just will be too rich for his -- Andre dominate the guys that you know he's a human heart attack I don't want doing at this -- have been more of these the next step he takes or the next breath he takes he's out. That looks like that -- about a cup -- opera shortly batted point there. To the phones at 5854 at 37482 Craig is in South Carolina hey Craig probably don't"

Play from 26:03[26:03]" Tom they have a much they can Rolen reaches into the mountain -- rally puts on in my heart. I -- three points not --"

Play from 26:17[26:17]" stopped the NFL can't make up their mind if you look at the game book the NFL game book. It is not recognizing -- block of the called -- yard field goal attempt. What do you government play by play portion of the playbook it clearly says you know ball was deflected by Richard Seymour. -- somebody needs to drop a -- and straight in a sellout."

Play from 26:45[26:45]" I actually heard something about that I actually and I didn't -- all abroad have seen it it's just there to -- people talking going to be you know that the Mario yeah yes I've already had to -- as the Colorado but but I actually -- hear that that it might have been blocked and I actually -- segment -- adequate but you're right I mean if if that happened -- Yeah NFL should correct local."

Play from 27:05[27:05]" Let me suggest you Craig of that would be of -- for the patriots to approach the NFL whether -- Stacy you know James or somebody NPR which would have to come from them. But if it's if it's a big enough deal then it would be up to the team to go to the NFL and say. Well this is how the official play by play it read so would like for you to acknowledge that."

Play from 27:23[27:23]" Well on behalf of patriots fan everywhere I'm going to ask you'd -- many connections minute. Push some buttons and you're achieving it done okay and it's it's contradictory I mean it again books on the statistical aspect seven. Yeah well we're zero -- be able -- But yet in their own book and the play by play it thing it opted you know -- I think the -- out again recognize he'd get. Stop the board."

Play from 27:56[27:56]" What happened there I understand it that picked Tuesday but I mean c'mon. He had a couple of the points that yardage yeah. -- busts out as a Greg is regular analysts are taken -- I. Greg is -- idea is a regular and a but we appreciate Craig's important Greg -- IQ Craig a lot of credit because he keeps coming back you know he knows your -- him. So like traditions oh it basically gets I'll check out it's just not a nit -- to -- it was Craig gets blown out all right and so that very well. Like oh Craig you know it just to answer your question I will law -- fall upon -- wells 11 to right it is an it is an inconsistency. On it is a discrepancy you can have one so one thing in the others say the other they after they should go hand in hand. So obviously that's an issued over the patriots I think instigate I mean it is Tuesday -- Tuesday that as humble pie -- quality district he's got many minutes but I'll but I mean that you know actually had read about that nick. You know I'll call up startled I didn't look like experts. -- a little like I'd honestly it in in normal speed -- by the idea that he hated that -- left in the that was the end of it it really that maybe she's Seymour -- little thing -- whatever. And they are will be after looking at the videotape and again I haven't looked at it slowed down. That they determined that it wasn't blocked in that it just wasn't changed in the play by play. -- happened that's also gonna happen also conceivable. That the only thing we're nitpicking about today I was used to -- yet a couple of other things that what is."

Play from 29:31[29:31]" That what this is you know if that was my big thing okay for Jarvis Green okay now. Brady is going to get a lot of pub obviously is when you -- ops yes of course he showed. That the deeper the hole absolutely you're coming back yes Jarvis Green had five tackles in this game. But two of those tackles were two of the biggest tackles of the season. Period when he dropped the guy in the backfield twice and then the third place knocking the ball out of patent hands. And tipped that ball essentially in -- Roosevelt Colvin -- Jarvis Green in my opinion. Is the MVP of the gate he doesn't show up the stat -- is much and he shouldn't it's worth coming back I believe. Jarvis Green started the game but he came out after the first series Seymour got most of the -- which he showed he's Richard Seymour he should be in -- I understand that. But Jarvis Green is going to get lost in the shuffle in the history books of this game. Because he was the guy who made it all happened and probably heard that you he would die drop in the backfield united. -- 4314 I was Velika -- that read it twice -- Jarvis Green made plays when he needed to and that's. That's the most amazing thing about the patriots -- they have so many big names that do such a fantastic job. But every week he's what are you guys step up. Who -- it and they would step up. Did everything Jarvis Green whatever big game not mora is back in. In the want to anybody. That didn't come -- well in the extreme. Magnified coverage of this game got -- too -- to anybody at all on Sports Radio on message boards online mentioned that Jarvis Green it's going to be an X factor absolutely not and what do you do. Step up and -- big plays when he needed to and how. How grim outlook for the patriots with ten minutes ago with anybody in the country that was being objective but that the patriots were going to win that game and any."

Play from 31:32[31:32]" Also out outside of New England probably not but in doing Iowa Iowa I would think very strongly that a lot of fans felt like they could to come back did you think that extra it I don't know if -- I really thought that it would be very difficult in fact I remember I'm watching the game with what my son and I told him I said Sidwell. Got a lot of work to do here. That's -- we have a lot of work to do here he is all you know upset you know kids -- you know that -- TV you know that kind of stuff right most of you know -- away. But I just you know not don't give up just yet but give up just yet he still upon a time up with you know it was 840 I think it was -- We hit that and that's where from the patriots right before they scored again so you know I think that there were a lot of -- there's probably -- fair share patriots fan that felt like he could still be done. But I'm sure outside of this area most your -- thought that the game was dead I'll be honest."

Play from 32:19[32:19]" I I thought it was over the utility. It's only George I average and four guards Kerry's got about he's got about 12 at the end of the game the way you run the ball you're telling me the papers to be -- stop the colts. To get the ball back in that instance that it is it simply wasn't it didn't like it was even in the -- about -- right then and that's that's what it's done he's eligible to Indianapolis the Joe. How good is -- that's a good up if you rank."

Play from 32:45[32:45]" All realize now that you know it's one thing to rush for a 112 is receiving yards were inflated but at 73 or play were about five missed tackles came right with the in the the first goal it's true but but even still though the -- what he's talking about him though. If that's 73 yard catch and run had not occur which it only had a great game extraordinarily well not to the extent that we are now because he became the first player colts history to rush 400 and receive 400 in this and yet but. Okay but even still you cannot deny how good this guy really. He's in his car wreck and it is great player but but Rick -- doing the best player on the field. He with the exception of of your choice to Jarvis Green which I think is a very good choice for him be an unsung hero in an MVP he was the best player on the field at the overall start to finish but the on some."

Play from 33:30[33:30]" Okay grip that you right. But the patriots -- has been so dominant all season long -- died commission and torched them the way he did because he essentially -- he made. Even I mean it's like why are great that you want to catch with 73 guards of -- and -- at four other catches yet for the catch and I believe I think. -- retool the first downs and story on the ball with great effectiveness against the patriots team that's thats incredibly operatives Iran. He it if you wrecked at three things you learn in this game. Joy -- it's great pass that somewhere it for me he's over that one of the three things artwork listed how good he really is and how dangerous he's going to be down the road. -- review of Marshall fought a little bit. Sure the way he can do it all that's a good comparison and yeah he's -- he's the got it scares me years to come for the colts but. That that that's something else well I mean there's there was -- all there was more story on the -- and also -- this you know. Living up to the hype is what I mentioned before and you're right a lot of people as it was going to be -- one way or the other I agree with that I look -- to witness -- a surprising -- personally which there obviously did not but. It was such a great game it was it was a fantastic game because it was yet another. Highlight on the real recovery where he came back to the fourth quarter and stole a game that the patriots let's be honest didn't have any business winning. They stole that one in Indianapolis in my opinion because. That the way they played at first half the way the colts came out. The patriots didn't come out flat and looked flat in Indianapolis was all can't stop for that -- you can tell they're ready. So this this game was fascinated me but it it proves though that the patriots are human and end this if you aren't going to. It does it does and you know what though. This is I think it was exactly the kind of the kind of win that the patriots needed to win this game reminded me. Of 2001 but robbery Antowain Smith. You know David Patten New England Patriots they they eke it out at the end they take games that they really probably shouldn't win if you look at -- objectively. They had no business winning this game with a stop on the way to do it just -- hats -- the -- respect but. But Jarvis Green is story of this I know one. And still not repeat we're talking about his contributions golf about that you shouldn't go unnoticed."

Play from 37:44[37:44]" Doesn't sit right got to be something -- just doesn't sit well with a view. Gotta be something so I mean anything for me personally yeah. Maybe it's because in this nitpicking and this is when I'm on the -- what we do goals warming up to let that this is what we do who thought this would please don't -- but I."

Play from 38:14[38:14]" Debut at the office the passing offense has been so ridiculous that makes the running game look almost insignificant. But I'm still not completely convinced that the patriots can run the ball as effectively as they have been able to do in the previous. It it in their previous Super Bowl seasons are extremely concerned about it anymore on injured reserve. Extremely concerned because while I love Maroney at -- its potential is it's it's virtually limitless for Laurence Maroney. He's injury no one can argue there's not a person that commits the Laurence Maroney is now no longer injury prone and he's invincible okay. Losing to anymore -- as the insurance policy is a big deal and walked Kevin Faulk has -- sole reliable -- so reliable year after year. Every time he touches the ball John I gotta be honest I'm afraid he's going to pop up every single time -- a total idiot is because. I've watched him for so many years and just. But it just seems like he has won big fumble year like against the Indianapolis last year marching down the field to let stadium right here where we are right now. And he fumbled the ball the running back situation still scares me because. It if the cold slowed -- down obviously. Our arguments anybody can anybody can slow down and win. That concerns would get the playoffs. Running running game running the football. Is Paramount it's extremely important especially at the winter months and that's that's the patriots did so well there others -- warriors that are able to pound the -- three tackles and quite honestly. I'm work habits that they can do the to the level of effectiveness where they should be and could be. That's that's one -- the one to pick one thing that worried about I'm not convinced that they could still on the ball effectively aren't as well."

Play from 40:08[40:08]" Would you be then a proponent even though bill military sort of doubt we've been well not only sort of he definitely -- squash this when yesterday oh would you be a proponent then for a re signing Cory Dillon and a -- is to back up"

Play from 40:21[40:21]" probably not just yet have been in a game in in so long one they've that really struck a chord with me and I said and that's literacy -- Barlow Barlow is a guy who. I wouldn't mind seeing embryonic -- Kim or or even you know I mean obviously the trading deadline has passed but there's gotta be some guys self evident that some -- this."

Play from 40:46[40:46]" Out loud as somebody a couple of weeks ago in in in nobody chuckle because I think that they realize that you know wild -- be unbelievable. Who get Ricky Williams now. If that happens they'll get Rick it will happen he wants to play and that's wanna smoke now. He he might but you talk about rehab and guys okay we have that we have a penchant for re having guys here in New England. Right now if you get the dolphins to release him. Or the dolphins to get some sort of conversation is they don't want him in Miami anymore. Years ago played for next just 'cause he wants to play now I happen to know for a fact that he's been doing so his thumb rehab work in Boston. Over the last few weeks really -- yes well it's not like he's unfamiliar with the area."

Play from 41:29[41:29]" It's this the whole Hollywood I've been very foolish that's definitely accurate that the integral whole thing with this with this whole Ricky Williams stuff about Ricky Williams an in -- you know. It would be one heck it was fun I would very foolish that it Hollywood there will be one heck of a story there it would likely be amazed that -- How sometime next -- That's the classic -- I think fans react. You know fairly favorably to would you don't not so that you yeah didn't -- well I want to Heisman trophy but we want I don't understand is why do you think the dolphins don't want. Because they feel like they would just be going back to the way things were when he was going through his serious troubles. You know with his you know admitted abuse of you know marijuana and everything but okay you know Ronnie -- done for the season. I just 'cause I went I think I think the dolphins are absolute idiots for."

Play from 42:23[42:23]" I certainly don't want to."

Play from 42:26[42:26]" Don't want to thank I think we will take place c'mon admit it. I was that I gonna bring it -- I'm glad somebody didn't watch because I bleed orange and I'm so glad that we. I thought -- Miami doesn't -- if I'm -- they don't -- not a chance -- going back to the way things work they feel like they need to prankster I think they're -- for not recently shivering -- bat because -- brother -- yeah I -- he can't get any worse here but I understand what can -- always tendulkar and well -- and that's the way it's going to -- yeah also I also think that they'll probably let him his final line in -- for awhile but I really don't think they want -- please let me win all but how bad they -- it Ricky Williams puts on the Atlantic you're going to make him an offer that tortures them for a for a buck 30. That they're going to look pretty dumb luck gonna make an offer of fourth round that we -- written with the offering -- round draft pick in the fourth round picks were three guys who were supposedly you know you know never --"

Play from 43:33[43:33]" 44 picks get you the best receiver in the league so people that -- reminding him now Fordham that you John Heisman trophy and I don't get for a third RB WW wouldn't get that New Haven but what exactly exactly but this is Ricky Williams. It it's such a gamble but you know what it's one of those things like I'd be surprised but I wouldn't be stunned I'm right the middle there you know. Okay accurately they did that but it kind of makes little bit of sense if it's 1 he's one of those names you know it's it's it's pretty much like playing Russian roulette W. What would what do you expect out of him as -- isn't as good in the Canadian football league that would."

Play from 44:11[44:11]" Did play a little last year in Canada and he was he doing now I'm not only young I don't think he's in games tapered things I don't know whether or not is actually coming back to play this year would. Would even be effect you personally to be reinstated officially by the NFL which he has not yet been done. So but I think he's kind of hoping that a mere formality in the once he is yet figured that would solve that problem with the dolphins and you know what you do with dolphins technically still hold his contractual rights -- but that's the thing that that I would argue why. I don't think he's coming here you can talk about the marijuana I'd say it was going to. I don't know maybe -- maybe maybe I don't some huge consumer -- I'm just say if if that argument were to come about okay right now I would say. He thought they brought operating loss in the fourth pick up the Randy moss has never done which was literally little. Quit on as he literally quit that he could not quit that and finish out the -- you know. -- plays off -- literally. Quit on the team and that's what adults is that a lot of wind is expected here he would not be expected to beat the man he would be a back -- number one. Number two in Miami he was the man and they expected him to be the man and he couldn't beat the Manny couldn't handle. -- has you know some phobias going on in his own mind and the you know he has a hard time. Handling responsibility and the spotlight he obviously handle it early well at Texas I think is last year when he was when all that stuff but. The fact is that it manifest itself once Mike did commit -- big -- agreement drafting him bringing him normal trading about 25 draft that whatever it was it was a ridiculous it was ridiculous but at the same time. You know he from what I understand has you know repented he is ready to try this again. And if you take the pressure on him and surround him the right kind of guys which this locker room purports debate. The right kind of guys and native after all public -- guy like Corey Dillon in a few years ago on the -- the triple a guy like Randy moss it appears going to get him to buy into. The team aspect can you do with -- if you call lost in Dillon problem players on they work they were I know that I don't but they -- this bad. They did not walk out on the team well let's see why -- a relative term okay -- I think that is older certain degrees of bad. And this is the worst possible I don't have a whole team I don't know I don't know I don't know that abide by. I think he was obviously under the influence I think he has also have issues with the depression I think some bipolar issues anybody that has that -- or knows people that have that can understand that you know. Those are serious issues though in that regard as long as he has things under control he's taken the right kind of medication for that and he's around it was good solid veteran leadership in the locker room and keep the guys in check and make sure that he doesn't get out of hand like they've. They've got a track record of doing understated it adds up. -- that makes an interesting conversation I don't know that you could ever sufficiently come up with the right amount of compensation pulls something like at all. But it just wouldn't shock me to see that kind of discussion having already been held now -- don't know."

Play from 47:29[47:29]" You write what you write but look at the locker room he was he had veteran leaders around Jason Taylor might like from a slightly. Eight they're skilled veteran presence that still that was the veteran presence there might end -- From the there was offensive -- it came out really was the one who led the charge talked -- numbers maybe are going to but in the show but noses. Ricky Williams did something that no other problem player has -- That the pitcher acquired and that is literally pick up his bags and walk on for what about that even want to play anymore they. Would you rather have a negative influence in the locker room. Would you rather have a negative influence of the rock -- out -- the field or rather just had to pick up but let me quit before the first week of trading commitment. The offseason yeah like these teams shocked. Okay what it at that doubt that right at you to send his team shot so that's right quit if that's right quit he. But I am very happy believe he worst level of bad he has passed the of that if that's why he quit on the team if it's that mental health issue. Okay but the bottom what is -- it's on his resident. That he quits on the dolphins well -- Iowa I'm all."

Play from 48:45[48:45]" Given second chances of course and third chances and usually it is going to take and you put him in the right set of circumstances in the right situation I'm not saying he needs to be here even should be our go to guy for anybody. But he can certainly be -- guiding coming to typical carries a game. Okay can be a guy that can do some damage at those -- told her if it doesn't decide to quit which which might happen I don't know but what if he does okay certain number one that he sealed his -- forever right. Number -- I think PRD but but -- then may very will be the case that is possible but even if he does if he's only incidental periods a game max wasn't going to -- name what's going to hurt this team is it going to put this team any worse off than it is right now. No."

Play from 49:25[49:25]" All I've said saying negative things about Ricky Williams I still stand by what I said at the start. If they did it I would be stunned I'd be surprised but I wouldn't be knocked on the -- stunned because. You're right. Re having players take your problem players summoned the patriots now have gone and pay if they feel like you attribute that's fine but all of that is there are other guys out there. Beckett gives you at least what Ricky Williams can give you without nearly as much baggage and it nearly as much. You know problems on his past -- I just don't see how that works well I think it's just kind of bond of sort of it is artists and it's one."

Play from 50:04[50:04]" I think a battle but you know army -- not calm. -- got a bunch emails here tries to want to we get into some of these our web radio at patriots dot com that's the email address you want to phony and you can do so 585437482 Tom Menino was still one of minus Sports Radio students at Emerson College graduate student members and but always looking for work so your program director you know for radio station right now on you like the with a human sounds -- means. All cigarette derivative of the show you can call me call me it was like get a cut morals that. That's 5 I can't do that all take other than that -- right now this comes from mom comes from Jeff -- says progressed the -- great come from behind victory the thing that struck me most was how eerily similar the that this game was -- the game last January. In both cases the pats -- the ball just over two minutes to play at a crucial third down. If they converted in the can run up the clock was chair of course they could not but Sunday Welker caught the out. Smartly fell down -- to run the clock all the what are the two minute warning that was all she wrote. The difference a year makes and I thought that was may be the smartest single play of the game. Right at the end when he caught that pass in the state and bounced in -- recover over Lavin is hominem like that's unbelievable what a great."

Play from 51:17[51:17]" Smart like not just the smartest player of the game that's what the smartest players I've ever seen just the just the fact that he knows he. That's the guy to -- I don't walk and in my heart -- why -- he doesn't think it was walker should it is do but I am I'm -- that it was Walker's is. More than just a bit player he's he's he deserves I think deserves a pro ball right now as far as -- how much is your argued Trevor. Just want to play he always always there and I don't doubt for a brought up right at at exactly. Always there on third down. Always there on our jobs every airline are bearing realize all walked did it on every situation he never make a move. It says are not that this has been asked before but at the Patrick won last January do you think they still would have gone on -- free to overhaul the offense. Or they continue to think Brady could turn any shoemaker and to build. Well Randy -- question it is it is and I've actually heard it talked about before. It Randy moss is available you get -- loss so I don't think if the patriots. Won the Super -- last year with they have not got Randy moss every penny Willis available the way he was if there holding the Lombardi trophy they still would've gotten him -- at the -- Stallworth maybe that's the one hour ago okay. Maybe they were trying to pile on here to make sure they had all the weapons that you do. But it it is an interesting question because how many times have teams of pro sports also pro football hold on the players far too long. And the patriots are the best team in sports not just football in sports at getting rid of players at right. Not the -- can go on forever they go from you know. Anybody from for Damien Woody even argue. Adam Vinatieri -- has lost some of the leg I don't patriots is the one that went at a military get rid of Adam Vinatieri was the smart financial move and you know that that -- yarder that 50 agreements is the first one he's ever missed an adult. Exactly -- every -- ever he has -- decade it was something I would have been funny but it was something that didn't have a bit -- miniscule and the guy he he was also when they got rid of him as last year doing what he was 13 in the AFC in picking -- in the NFL in the AFC's so that was -- they had to make. But but this is this what we're talking about it always. I don't think it really matters what the situation is they always make the move that's right for the team and they are always looking ahead. You know it's it's it's I find it ironic that it's viewed that as a coach that talks about so much of staying in the moment. And stay focused that's true and the patriots organization -- do that as well. But they always have one guy on the future as well that's what this team has been so ridiculously successful so if your question. I I really think it would have been a lot of moves they've -- anyways -- the superbowl I would I would I would actually agree with that pat says."

Play from 54:08[54:08]" I think the media especially the national -- he has a vested interest in keeping this good versus evil thing going for the rest of the season. It's not that the pats -- readable but it's a good storyline -- prius the end of the net -- and so forth it's more important than reality here are some examples of their inconsistency. But one is expected saint Payton returned foreman made injury excuses for the loss. In doing so through his teammates to replace the starters under the bus used the old I'm not making -- skews his blood why. Line and of course wasn't called -- by any of the media I heard today. On the other hand -- because Belichick did you warm handshake to a guy who publicly compared him to Barry Bonds Belichick is rated as the bad guys and he was -- in the same to dungy. At least my coaches and a hypocrite and as a pretend to be cordial to a guy who thinks that he is -- life one I should -- what do world. And number three. Over the three -- recent three losses to the -- the nets have had a myriad of interest critical people and not once. Have -- ever heard a national commentator make mention of them as a reason the colts beat the nets. Yet haters like young in Jackson on ESPN harp on Hugo and Jackson injuries and their effect like they were the keys to the pats victory in bode well for the colts should they meet up in the playoffs down the road. What -- God I worked very little to start with isn't very very good email now it will start with a Peyton Manning comments you know money's uses but. Fact is is that injury should never. Ever ever -- excuse. The only excuse that I that you could ever make -- legitimate claim for is if your quarterback goes down -- goes down and the colts thing because he's not end there okay accident brought an excuse my. I guess everybody -- access absolutely as and the same thing with Brady. But I I don't know that you could even make that case for any other team in the NFL of them most of taped. Those the only two teams that I really think that those would be. The only injury excuse is that are viable. First of all. Everybody has the same a lot of guys in the roster. It is up to the people were -- player personnel to make sure that you got the right guys shame on you if you don't injuries should not. Being an excuse period you know I don't care if you saint Payton or not."

Play from 56:24[56:24]" This is this open -- and it's different cringe when I say it but I have to. So much of Dan Marino in every aspect of everything about it how -- is okay and that's very true. One point for -- not one but a big point probably the biggest butt -- but. The way they react in the field. Two adversity. The waves and Payton or was arms open -- the way it looks like he's crying all the time he he does have a tendency to make excuses now. In -- game that big where he. For once he was the guy who fumbled the ball yet he was the guy who really it made the final stake -- but he still made it. He was sort of fumbled. The ball so I think he's a little more defensive than usual not to mention the fact that the colts painted themselves as the big underdog in this game which they -- that was unprecedented in of itself the -- team is undefeated at 7 and there are all at their underdogs hello what was. That just doesn't happen so maybe he felt like you know it's his ego was bruised a little bit so. Okay -- solid point and I agree with it but it's -- Excuses well undoubtedly come for the service almost in there. Every circumstance a couple of sports point 1 the other always -- one way or the other excusable always come to the forefront of injuries is the most can be the one that's a private kuwaitis but it's the most important it's easy as one to use that say yes."

Play from 57:54[57:54]" It's all I lost -- also loser mentality that's true all -- about bill belichick's a handshake with Tony Dungy well it's. First of -- I'm surprised mildly. That he was sure that he should it doesn't surprise me at all the reaction -- because I mean how would you feel somewhat prepared you to Barry Bonds. Yeah that I mean that's and really didn't retract that -- back off from a when he was asked about it -- members of the patriots media in last week's conference calls I don't see why even in general. Coaches at the shake hands after a game it's. I think it is a sportsmanship gesture it's a tradition but sportsmanship now in sports is so far gone it's it's kids -- in the equation anymore. I don't see why it's even necessary maybe I'm just. -- just you wouldn't -- that he's just think we should -- on everybody now I would now I'd -- that he or -- if you'll give a guy -- some -- beat -- lost -- I -- imagine that -- sure -- emotional talk about what -- because what dungy -- about it but I'll talk with Joe -- to drop the -- check out of that after the game with a got blown -- was that -- seven or whatever what I -- that. That that in of itself the stuff. Yeah okay go check it's his right to do what he does it is the other Portuguese. Spot and that's why he did I have absolutely no problem I never let -- whatsoever the fact that injuries."

Play from 59:16[59:16]" Men the other reason here -- affect the some of the national commentators are talking about how. On injuries might have been a factor here for the colts have yet. Last year injuries were not a factor in the called beat the patriots well -- to show some consistency number one and frankly I think Steve young is about his work was just heats on hog. He's he's he's just he's worthless eat -- they serve no purpose he serves no purpose is someone who is knows what he's talking about. He has an agenda Tom Jackson may be a little bit. But around here you understand Tom Jackson sort of held off to decided what kind of his own category for his. Let me value -- they hate their coach comment -- that. Leaders that kinda that that song can hear them doing that and I don't think that I don't think that's a recoverable mistake that teammate because. If he believed it or he was that wrong information wherever was he should double checked. Physical demeanor that noted that it could not have been further from the truth it's so would you put those two guys together. I just don't think that you know when you see them talking I think you should just turned on the sound hit the mute button and wait until somebody else's -- start flapping because that actual mean more than what Steve young and Tom Jackson's it. I mean your right there is something decent I didn't know that we're even going on anymore because all I really fired Steve young -- a player he was a very good. It was a great player is Hall of Fame player. But he's as an analyst he has agenda it is it's it's blatant you can see it and I think he's forgotten. I think he's forgotten what it was like he was a player -- a quarterback almost 40 not a team that used to beat the crap but a team -- with unsure and not think too. -- about it yet so you know."

Play from 1:01:03[1:01:03]" Well or I -- I -- I just looks to be beaten me pretty hypocritical it's one of those are all going to say how that all that is this. Pointing out the obvious that the colts were hurt by Harrison knot the game. If if if that's if that's the number one thing in your agenda that. I could have an analyst when I was in high school because everybody knows that -- not in the lineup is gonna hurt. -- deported out the most obvious ridiculous statements it's like okay. You know. It was as Portugal additional you know -- you know he's currently -- really want to get into the nit -- okay so -- have Rodney Harris I -- Marvin -- and that's -- really didn't have a healthy Richard -- exactly if that's why it's related have you Gina Wilson either at. All it over the it was is giving me the injury report that after that. I don't need to know that Marvin Harrison not being in the line up hurt the colts. Obviously it did he's Marvin Harrison that it doesn't matter whether play bigbie player development puts on the other."

Play from 1:02:01[1:02:01]" But somebody out there you know Anthony Gonzales dropped a couple of balls to. Stephen Montana has Don -- been sniffing his own here we go here what connection could spike gate have to an undefeated season. The commissioner stated that the tapes made her in the jets game we're not used to affect the outcome of that game how could they be. The confiscated from the guys during the taping is he's in insinuating that still going on what do sour older man. -- that -- usually I would say I'd it's very good email Steve here's what I think about the hold on shoot low whining that that's just it. He's getting nervous you know people only react defensively when they're nervous. And he's nervous that 72 dolphins -- about the ago. How sweet without the got taken away -- all doubt that Cordelia that you will be the first -- the -- look for soundbite and -- try to back out of some what gracefully but he's kind of already put his foot in his now. And so you -- again I'm of the opinion you know coach showed all the respect. -- hall of Famer -- great coach you've been so good for somebody causes over the years hey you won't be getting anymore nutri systems commercials if you don't learn to cigarette that's. Standard or not you don't know. Is that now no one is a bit but honestly at this is what's going to be really interesting for me at the gators continue this undefeated march. Okay the patriots would you agree in in the NFL the landscape oh probably the most disliked. Oddly yet I you know I still probably so Amin I think that there still quite a bit of dislike for teams like the raiders but the raiders just are good enough related matter overall thing that would probably want it and I say that there's still some anti Dallas cowboy -- their for their decades of being America's team. Even though I think the public more like them but there's still some some haters out there and there are probably a couple of like Baltimore would be a team because of the reputation it and the fans and some guys that have somewhat show as a shady background and pass -- things they've been involved in like ray Lewis the ravens and such but from start to finish. I'd say that it's quite government of metamorphosis. But the patriots have undergone since being their own America's team in 2001 when we were all patriots round here exactly transpired out at 2007 so you would say that they aren't socially -- I would I would say so yeah it is they're more hated team -- history of the -- in the 72 dolphins. Nationwide does anybody does anybody -- all the all the look back ago. And L's -- nobody. I thought I would say I'd say yeah -- of the Marlins will be up there I'd say that probably wanted to those steeler teams would be up there. I would also argued that probably the first 2 Green Bay team that -- superbowl wanting to. Probably have to be considered at the time hated teams especially for fans of the AFL. Okay but maybe maybe not to the extent of of the 72 golf because they're the only undefeated and that's and that's what -- stand out here is my point. What what what does. -- let me let me also throw in let me also throw in. I'm not sure the exact year but I'm gonna say probably wanted to those Oakland teams when Madden was still coaching -- you know when they had you know home -- you know -- just win baby moniker going on and they had some you know some you know guys themselves that were bit edgy. Shall we censure you know but they have some great athlete that Fred -- you know and they obviously had them you know Kenny stabler in knives and fill the will be Ottawa linebacker and some great players like George -- it was the Qichen and yeah."

Play from 1:05:36[1:05:36]" Exactly I don't probably those raider teams probably not well liked but but this is -- okay."

Play from 1:05:42[1:05:42]" As if the Peter cutesy or was undefeated streak which it looks like they have a pretty good chance to do okay. What does America reform today route they -- for the most hated team in the NFL right now. But they root against them it's it's such an interesting thing for me because if you -- to -- coast is because they are winning with with such convincing performances with the exception of last Sunday. That if if the if they get back on the -- blow out weighs over these last seven games. Naturally I think America is going to root for the underdog which will be the NFC champ because we love underdogs in this country that is just us by nature America is a country that was founded on nothing but underdogs when you're not out of the the British back in the 17 hundreds -- okay I'm so -- Roger was belts. On the underdog. And so you know if -- the big bad you know patriot -- easier naturally most of the country is going to be you know get a certain amount of go eat. If the patriots lose that game and probably will buy by the airport they lost you know root against -- you'd think both the Carter Watson debaters goes -- you know. I think that there are some some. Football fans I mean by that I mean fans who have a certain knowledge of the history of the game that would like he does happen and I certainly I would say more of a casual fan probably wouldn't that's at least my initial. Inclination here because you know what the patriots -- if they are able to pull this all but again it's if I'm not I'm on record on this program. As saying that I don't think the patriots would do I think there's I think there's a stumble somewhere look at the stats it's it's I agree yeah that's overwhelming I just still think somewhere a stumbles going to -- is going to take out of play before it was miserable frankly. If it's a meaningless last game of the year against the giants nobody's going to care they're going to have -- by then anyway. The bottom line -- winning the Super Bowl and going down potentially is one of the greatest if not the greatest team replaces. Which I still -- is attainable even if they don't go 60 don't know they do I think it's a slam dunk they don't 90 you know slammed up as the greatest T mobile pot well I don't that's true -- your. Traditionalists afraid that's life eternal threat because when you mentioned the greatest teams of all time NFL history -- 72 all in all ways in the discussion. Yeah and -- what do you know what I deserve to be well yeah because they went through their season undefeated they played the games that on the schedule and won them all and nobody's ever done that so yes. They deserve to be and that but here's what I have a problem. They're still going to be in the discussion you can't ever able although I don't let us for a second here you can't take 17 in all it from the that's the record books it's done now that maybe people would say well okay. With a Pedro did in 2007 ever want adopted two. Of course Percival was 35 years of space there's 35 years of growth there's 35 years of maturation there's 35 years of evolution of football players that going to this equation this is -- different universe that we are involved in now in the NFL was back in 1972. It does not mean that the dolphins based in the air air. And the time and the space in which they played don't deserve to be in the conversation they do. But okay they do but they won't be the conversation honestly how often do you hear about the second place team. The team all the patriots patriots were trying to -- are saying then that they would be relegated to second place status up. They would be and that's what. That's what you was all okay I'll buy that and by the I'm not good I would feel he would be doing he's doing himself and his players -- great disservice disservice. By opening up his mouth at all he should keep his yap shut. It's anyway whatever the patriots get. More power to -- go for it we broke an and we stand by 70 you know speaks for itself he should take the high road on this he shouldn't talk if he shouldn't talk with whatever he talks he only did means further the accomplishment of players in 1972."

Play from 1:09:53[1:09:53]" An and the fact that that is true that is true patriots standpoint. He sounds like a loser -- honestly is what are the itself but he's already given up like this is why you think let's. You talk when they go 60. You -- Jewish. Exactly exactly they cannot fully and I picked up a I I honestly believe this -- sure. Exactly what you said look like a grumpy old man that that just it's just you know all it in my day I was better that's pretty much politics and the fact that he has the audacity. To bring up spike -- as a low blow. About the games being played on the field the talk about stuff that is now eight weeks all okay if he can really you just look I'm ridiculous now but I -- but it but in fairness the 17 Altman's. If the patriots do this and find a way to to somehow those six you know which we both agree is probably not going to happen if they sum up by the -- Hewitt are. Course the dolphins won't take any huge huge it. They won't be talked about nearly as much know that it won't get it when presented with and I camera for their popping the champagne in court every year one of that final undefeated team goes down and I'm getting sick of them and they have the edge of the reasons why fans are actually wrote some fans especially old school fans are rooting for the patriots to do this -- second looking for the dolphins -- that stupid thing every that's why it's so ironic it is the most hated team in the NFL the debt. Is trying to break a record. That is that it has never been done before Allman brothers -- dole and -- I -- hitter I am extremely interested to see ourselves a hole while there. Do you want to see them do it because I think there's a lot of venom. Against the 17 with an. A lot of people will pick a lot of delight in leaving them out of the discussion -- that did you go with the patriots somehow managed to do this and Shula is just taking this works he's breaking news team -- even -- you don't happen. We and the coaching -- The Bob Griese would you be going to start having everybody at TV for on this team talking about this and now what are -- gonna say. All the -- just you know he's just freaking out west and they're going to go exactly the roach who went and other all of all this one line this company and it's ridiculous."

Play from 1:12:13[1:12:13]" Davidson's his email from the Philippines he says -- scenario last week with a game would live up all the hype while the game's been played now. Honestly I hope we don't see the colts again in the AFC championship game because my diabetes makes me good candidate for heart attacks and I'm not sure -- went through the -- that one out yeah and no doubt the colts give us everything we can handle hang in their day. About the thing that I would complain about as the officiating it wasn't totally awful -- the -- penalties were deserved but. That second long pass interference call completely completely wrong to me there were also a couple of non calls against India that -- been really important I just don't understand why the and a fellow what was perhaps the biggest regular season game in decades a -- rookie -- That I think is a legitimate. A legitimate gripe and beef and nit pick here on now -- like Tuesday yes why a guy know he's been in the were he's been Interpol for what eight years of the red. -- was the that the that the league official eight years has basically lie engine but this is his first year as -- which is the head guy -- recruitment. The legislative and I promise and one -- in even stupid. The -- throwing the ball past the line of scrimmage -- Corey and his arm that is exactly right this is the most awkward thing you've ever seen it looks like he's going to bring his arms and falloff -- does that I just an aside I personally like you know some the one where he holds his arms of the sudden lapse yeah yeah. What is that what is that hold on to say that is them. The fellow sport's economic and yes yeah does that I would as unsportsmanlike conduct you know you know that these refereed the only week. Humble pie -- they were -- so much -- on the officials there and ocean this this is really humble pie that is delicious by the white spaces I'm sitting my Super Bowl prediction okay. Play from 1:14:59[1:14:59]" exactly all right this and come from Chelsea who says. Can you believe -- I mean what a game that was finally some edge of our seat football I have to give it up the colts defense they are bananas every time they were putting pressure on Brady but as soon as he had time to get in the pocket he made big plays in -- wanted to catch -- looking somewhat similar to Michael Jordan in his -- who does that. And she's had. I think Wes Welker is so under rated porn guy but -- the plays he made were very important ones and how about his punt returns 303540 yards -- the -- could even get out of the shadow of their own goal posts like commentators had during the game he runs so close to the ground. Jaw dropping that's that's that's that's got to go all season he would even. Yeah even lift his right arm to catch that ball -- you can even need his right arm to snatch that -- out of -- it -- is that unbelievable catch -- I wish was for a touchdown because of all the talk."

Play from 1:16:23[1:16:23]" About alot more absolutely art Craig and South Carolina wanted to finish is bought or your. -- up a good in the car in the opening our program Kennedy said that. Seymour blocked the colts 50 yard field with him but he still can't make up its mind as to whether he did or not FL dot com's game book shows no field goals -- under any of the statistics -- is 00. Yet the play by play description plainly states 832 -- Terry figured -- no good wide left center 48 J snow holder 70 -- at any -- 93 deflected kick. Is what the hell give the man is props he kept the colts from putting three more on the board. Certainly you could say that was a key play in the game because if the situation we're different in Vinatieri had made that field goal. That last drive before Rosevelt Colvin came up with the fumble recovery. Could have been vastly could have been played vastly differently well."

Play from 1:17:14[1:17:14]" I mean that the fact doing it was able to allow. Indianapolis into the reds -- I believe twice and both times Indianapolis was forced to attempt a field goal. That is really what's at the pebble this game honestly the way this game started out in first quarter. Indianapolis could have been up 14 nothing in about five minutes the winner moving the ball with ease the patriots went read out the -- that scored a touchdown every possession every opening possession of the season until that game. They're not going to touchdown but he -- get a first down Indianapolis give unstoppable. The first possession so the colts were able to stop the patriots like that an -- to. Wallet sustain drives -- I haven't and -- the 20 yard runs -- only get three points. That was huge for doing it huge the fact the first quarter the tempo was set by Indianapolis early on. At least they tried to patriots were having not a pit stop them in the red zone and that's why this game was so competitive because honestly like I said. If they don't force the colts to attempt those field goals 14 to open folks 14 now that this -- is completely."

Play from 1:18:19[1:18:19]" Stop signs of reds and he when we didn't see any earlier in the year with his team that would that is that is a step in the right direction exactly you asked if you asked me to pick one -- I'm worried about. Last week was it's the reds or Mets but after the first quarter. I'm really worried about it Morgan looks like it's coming around and just you know at a coincidence galaxy more returns to the lineup almost at reds here it is a bit better there is he's the best in the business -- August matches I can only watch the game with people that understand football we were talking about this the last -- I had to sit my girlfriend down during the issues pre season games she understands the game don't you watch the game -- which were great that she's a great cook. Yes make you check it out it is but it's a good know what day it is and and also you know. Probably not the best strategy of the -- and -- pre season now because that's arguable -- that's gotta -- you have to take some time in the early season Bryant and considered down and watch some games that really count or wait until -- and that you disputed any pointers like if -- Balkans and you have a -- to try to get you know. Week 15 doesn't matter where he -- is that -- seven get the food first in the incident exactly exactly cart path. Priorities -- Vermont the patriots did not play their best game -- still found a way to win that game you guys hit it right along with the officials Ellis -- robbed raped pillaged on the pass interference that should have been offensive interference of -- All that aside. I saw some of the that'll pass toughness patience perseverance all the media making excuses difficult injuries blah blah blah. But going badly as -- you know once said well the gators didn't have this guy or that guy including the patriots these pitchers do not use excuses. And I did have a big game due to the game plan invited the -- decline the past. Will be noted for game planning like that. Going back the bills versus giants superbowl. So I don't think it was all that horrible -- couldn't sustain that -- that late scoring earlier in the year paid off. Finished the game that's their statement. Got to put the whole game not 45 to 50 minutes instantly fair statement -- I said that a locker room by the way this that they were happy that they played all the previous games like they had. You know when a lot of the questions of them running up the score -- issue because it taught them how to finish. And so when they did get behind. They knew how to finish the game."

Play from 1:20:56[1:20:56]" Back you can argue Indianapolis did not know how to finish does that hurt the chances are you finished that game and didn't do it -- the first deportable freeze I would while the fungus out and I probably would media -- sports bureau to do this -- but the last time a our franchise set their at their franchise record for penalty yards -- game and -- one. Because I something tells me that's a -- that that that would be something that has actually I had to guess probably hasn't happened that it in a very very long time to find that that'd be great plan but -- also want to point this out he talked about -- be able finished games. Indianapolis Colts then. You can you can have potential go in Reggie Wayne. That drop that wade had late in the game went getting put that ball perfectly right on the money and wade was unable to catch it more likely would have been a touchdown. That's how you finished it patriots the patriots make that -- mosque Welker makes that catch when you did not I don't know why it. And he probably catch that -- wade is a fantastic talent don't get me wrong but that was a huge play that game as well he talked about finishing the game. Teams that finish games. Catch the ball in that instance and the colts do. Yeah I don't have the number but that's number dominance Russell Baxter for on Thursday if he knows the answer to that -- it would not. The team has ever set the franchise record for penalty yards yeah it is still one I mean at -- 146 yards penalized bunt and penalties. That's ludicrous right -- you look at a lot of seven of -- come almost to you know. Even though because don't humongous plays. It's it's still it's if you look at that wanted to say favorite team gets penalized at -- broader points or judge that they're going to win now. Play from 1:23:11[1:23:11]" it is and you asked me to be nitpicking at us and they -- that's why we have got it all right -- I'm glad that someone out there agrees we have on this issue because. That's every Boris the insurance policy and really the best back on the roster -- probably right now. Is Sammy Morris and he's out and that is big big issue but we've seen only can do this is -- isn't always a slight Laurence Maroney. I look back to that game against Cincinnati last season. Where we saw what -- he could do in Cincinnati when he destroy the Bengals the guy has unbelievable potential. But I worry about the fact he's a little fragile it's something that you out. The factory and Heath Evans. You know yeah okay that's through Heath Evans is really natural fall back -- eight. Heath Evans the feature back I really don't know he had a great game in Miami I believe it was last season he had a great game Miami he really wasn't featured guy. And truly believe that we could come back of the officials would hold or just pull out of those -- for a couple of series. You guys believe like I do that -- better more experienced officiating crew at home field the next game will not be as close."

Play from 1:24:57[1:24:57]" yes the eye on him yes I think. You know you -- mean you talked about earlier about the underdog mentality of of us as human beings human beings are affected. Where they are they know what's going god there are affected by the crowd or is there are affected by the home crowd it inevitably happens. Doesn't decide games. Probably not but it has some impact some impact on the on the momentum of the did because. You know if if you -- the one for a tricky track holding penalty in the middle of an eight play 73 yard drive. Yeah yet that that's going to be a problem that that's going to get in the way of the opera it's going to affect the flow of the did but you're I think this this game. How could we ever think that just because they have been accused -- for years had another team other than ballot sheets in the ballot sheets made an accusation. An investigation we launched work another -- sound thing is really not a big deal but I just hate the idea that the beloved colts are above the law. That's a general feeling amongst most patriot fans. I think most patriots fans feel like you don't want. You know the cold something's funny here. And like I told you earlier Tom where there's smoke there's usually always a little fire little flame going on until there's something going on here not that much bigger fans. Crowd noise gates don't mention the players if you don't want the national media to do it. You shouldn't do it either that's the first thing I want to -- at dungy. Probably have nothing to do with this that probably have no idea is even happen for all but but -- To -- took a larger point about the colts. Yeah they're perceived differently I mean -- Peyton -- Is probably the most watched it and on Sundays because not only does he play in the game every Sunday but he thought about 79 commercials that are on all across the country. During other games that nothing do with the Indianapolis he really right now would -- argue is the base of the week. Could Brady official league sure he doesn't want to do all the commercials all the thought they had it is doing but yes I think that makes it that does that then in. And the colts apart a little bit and that's just again. That that's the perception now it has to be dealt with but let's be consistent about that going to criticize Indianapolis that's all the national media. Anyway the media's take in this and running -- they're saying stuff like both chowder heads are calling us cheaters. In all kinds of crap I'm so sick of hearing all the excuses they're making for their team. I don't whole houseful colts fans on Sunday talking smack to me for three quarters of football. Well yes that's development there was like that irrelevant Indianapolis like but it's better -- Chowder heads but that that is ludicrous -- a Goodwin Johnson's a letter to mr. shoe. -- could open letter DR John -- done okay you no longer matter nor do your comments. The pats do not care about breaking a record. But I for one hope that they dude just to throw that stupid common in your face. You know what I had to break and one applicable that's applicable like no who cares brick wall calendar that's perfect that's good -- this conference got a new."

Play from 1:35:53[1:35:53]" Hampshire I think the coaches and the players in all professional sports should be required to shake hands with the opposition it is a game. After the game player should act civil and professional. And honestly. I don't disagree with that because that's what you try to teach young people it would you know I try to teach my little leaguers -- teach my kids. I mean you know the fact is it is a game you should be able to act civil professional and still be able to try to knock the other's brains out in a specialist borders. Physically demanding as sport football is. Is after all you know we do live to play another day. Okay now and then."

Play from 1:36:27[1:36:27]" Okay if people shaking hands after a sporting event. I have no problem with it. Making them -- what. Yes I have a big problem with that. This is not little league okay this is not high school football okay this is this is professional sports these guys have grudges. Honestly that we don't even know about most of the time. Don't make them shake hands that's odds on them too much of a jerk you know -- you understand this and that's fine that's the case but at all honesty open it but. The action against that's why I think it's ridiculous I mean not of the act of shaking. That's not I think it's ridiculous what's ridiculous is that coaches the players feel like they have to okay you shouldn't be like. You have to and that's why I have no problem -- having actually handshake with dungy that was that was I think you just have to put your thought."

Pretty bad if your name I want OJ Barry Bonds of your you know a cheater like Barry Bonds and ecology that you don't really have a chance to defend yourself. And somebody equates -- Somebody's got fired for you know or something needs and wants that he wants to be compared -- the ethical legal. He wants that knock on the -- you know. They're on a market that reputation so of course why would you want to shake the -- an effort at work. You're you're branded a Porsche sport but not to win. Still credit -- eight and you know and I don't I don't think that's on the I don't think that's what you really want to -- and that's why but that's but that's the person's choice that that let let them first choice again this is also a game public relations -- and enough bad is already happened. You know to you know to this team I think since the early part of the season. They don't need another strike against him like that. Did to give the national media in -- to -- walk them again I think. Somebody somewhere in his organization probably realizes that all I'm saying is sportsmanship is they lost arts. It doesn't exist anymore it doesn't exist largely an excuse exist -- extended did. That's what they call home is civilized gave the football is an uncivilized gated -- Democrats have allies decide sort of a classic as well. Slugger rot your dot com it is a bad person you don't the chip I didn't tell you that I -- not that I -- Look at us -- our deal says I'm thrilled with the victory was glad that despite all the penalties we were able to rally. Pass protection of the key area of concern but again they did give Brady time when he needed it in the and Brady spoke with a -- doing some different things to them and what did you guys notice that was different. Pass protection has not been a problem what so ever now -- you now a topic -- doing some different things to them. That's just the dream talent a block and free the only one I don't but the only thing that they really did and I don't know that I noticed is so much as I kind of felt like this is on the they would do Gwen and I and knew that they were going to do what they could. To take away the sidelines and take with a deep routes. As a that's what you saw Randy moss go over the middle which he doesn't really do all that often he's not a very good in the middle receiver. But the patriots were able to go. Into the middle utilizing some of these -- on -- Watson -- Warner to he had Welker also do the same the touchdown pass a -- ball was right up the -- you know they were taking what the colts were given them in the unit in the -- took advantage of the outlaw but but I I want to --"

Play from 1:41:24[1:41:24]" On this. Pass protection has been the absolute I've put that probably at the bottom. Of concerns for this team even after what happened with Indianapolis and and you know what what you -- Brady's boys that's robbery is so ridiculous would do it. Even in again. Where he's not getting the protection he used to he still finds the open and he still doesn't make a mistake he still -- try to force of thrown a coverage he makes the smart decision. Every single time it's -- and the interceptions he had that won the first -- yet. Probably a bad decision one of his -- bad decisions of the season the second one eyebrow actions that was just a fantastic individual effort Brady threw that ball. Right on the money is good as he could bracket is basically -- One of the best players of the year and got it's not that Bosnia but the bottom line is the pass protection is not a problem. You know in terms that was really so bad that -- probably don't already do and how big affect other things. This is -- What -- did in the NBA this is how it's going to affect other sport you know what you're doing now is creating that sense of doubt in people's minds whenever you have a clay happily officiated game and it's not a word but I just made it up. Whenever -- I'd rather officiate a game like you at -- that I mean it was it was it was it was bad. It was bad. You know fortunately it didn't go against the patriots you really can't blame and you never should blame the appreciating for a win or loss. Frankly that were more bad calls against the patriots so was a non factor although you know they've been more proud of bad calls against the colts than I would than the colts fans whatever right to gripe. Just like if there were more bad calls in the past they would -- that stands griping about that of course but that's not necessarily the case. Point is is that. If you have a reverie. Yet the NBA who know admittedly was on the take somewhere was somebody. You try to drives have been points can open up you know oh -- loaded doubt in any sport. Well if an NBA -- into -- one in the NFL could do the answers that -- that could of course they'll look at the look where he's control. The game. This is why now in my opinion. All major professional sports need instant replay. That is the one thing they'll keep officials honest well. Okay the cameras cult theory lie in the cameras don't have an opinion the cameras show you what he is. And what is it in theory you're right but obviously you'll have a certain number challenges so it won't affect everything I got out of the used to read what you all cities replace baseball -- while -- I don't should try to I don't I don't against -- baseball needs -- for balls and strikes that -- stay under the domain of the of the umpire. But you should use of -- replaced four calls in the field on fell affair or whether not a journalist home run around they'll double aura and touched it what. Those kind of things that quite honestly in a split second. Very difficult and being named a baseball umpire my own right it's that's -- hard call to make you go your gut instinct 9% of the time some of the times you're wrong. The other two actually write the Cedeno call was 100% -- that was pass interference first and foremost I am at but a about the officials. Don't buy into that that the officials wanted to fix this game or the NFL wanna fix this game there to make the -- better. The colts are the Super Bowl champions -- they don't need any help. I Jackson's this note -- his guys love the show my serving of humble pie comes from the run defense. For most of the year I have been saying even though the pats are winning their run defense has been suspect. Now as this is a copycat league you'll see a lot more teams attempting to pilot large dose of power running. Against the patriots he of the good -- and oh yeah I think Jarvis Green is or can be a monster. They come from but okay now I know we said injuries can -- be used as excuses. Richard Seymour was missing for all of those games leading up to Washington and now he's getting back up the game speed. The demise of the difference like we said in the red zone -- want to -- started -- a little bit yeah shall have to realize I think the reason that the power running game may have had a bit of an effect because the patriots opened up in a nickel defects right. They aren't registered with four down linemen. And we want -- to linebackers in the played -- that the parents back in court they have a guy like Rodney Harrison shadowing Dallas Clark the whole game. So you'd need the middle of the field was a little bit more susceptible which sweltering -- four down -- and if you get by that front four in the I think you have to give some credit the colts' offensive line naturally your back is going to go couple extra yards they're just less bodies in the box."

Play from 1:50:19[1:50:19]" I mean that's just simple -- that absolutely I -- and that's all boils down to sometimes some teams just give up. Yards on the ground they say okay. Then you know he he basically take with team's best weapon after the patriots try to do so the other -- deep -- is also -- how do you -- my humble pie it's probably -- there somewhere. But again. Play from 1:51:17[1:51:17]" Well hidden in in all honesty the penalties were concerned on I I was concerned of those just. Granted to retrieve those penalties were complete garbage I think you have to realize that half of those penalty yards. Really should not Whitaker all look like I'm part of a number of penalties all the heads and penalties -- those two that he had eight for 7173 -- or just generally pretty youkilis sizable amount of penalties and that is. Under each real like football to shoot yourself in the port. And that's on characteristic of this team and -- and I find that also what one concern to -- to be looked out here. And -- you know. Sometimes now -- know it's. Practically last anything bad about hombre I understand. But I need to say this isn't going to even up -- jump ball. What the loss not Stallworth okay well I'm not a lot of sleep when when you throw the ball like he did. What went when without balls that probably the second quarter you throw the ball like that. Sure it's boss under their because of throw up or jump ball just picture ready that's almost all of that. You you have to -- you have to be crazy. To say that there's all that that there is even. Marginally -- wrong with this team has there's there really is when you look top to bottom this is just complete team -- also and this is one thing through. Hand you know you never know what can happen with this season ever or can happen as well. Just -- clear goal but it's clear here that you know if something were to do you rails what is gone on this far. Injuries are liable to be part of it right an and it's probably not in the best out of it goes right it is a fat and it's one of the best hitters have you or by this program Q talk about forecasting -- that -- don't -- But it is they do hope -- Tuesday and I say injuries do happen if you happen you still have seven games ago it even though. The injury report is a mile long week after week after week. Patriots who have been pretty darn lucky when it comes to injuries so far and that is one thing that needs to continue. If they're going cute you even get anywhere close. -- 60 you know they need to be injury you re. Injury free because all it takes is one injury on either side of the ball that. Provides a soft spot for team as a powerful weapon like. If for example coming up in week -- the Buffalo Bills they have a guy on offense call Lee Evans that is an absolute game breaker okay and it somehow. Last against the -- without the injury that creates a big soft spot in that heat -- with Lee Evans if -- got injured to the secondary so that's what they are concerned about but.
