Here you read about going to have just posted on yeah it's going to be a lot of going to be a lot of -- we look at -- the play book or Wednesday here game we fifteenth and number fourteen for the patriots. It is jets' week. And it is of course the well you know revenge what everyone is a game against the jets although I know that the players are doing their best to sort of downplayed them this week we. Talked about already we will but we hear from players in the locker room little bit later on in the program but. Just in light somebody beat the new items that are becoming known to some of the media reports throughout this -- patriots -- let me sort of -- all but aside for just -- moment. And say isn't it wonderful."

[1:53]" that we actually now have a bonafide rivalry. Going I mean there's you know you talk about rivalries and we thought about the rivalry between that the patriots in the colts and how the patriots and colts. Early this year may be supplanted that the cowboys and Redskins as the new in the rivalry in the national football -- really haven't had a good one sense that the cowboys and in the Redskins I think probably back in the seventies and in in early eighties. And yet even the patriots and colts to an extent they'll pull -- aside of course -- The fervor lacked the hatred. That that the cowboys and Redskins did. Even though yes I think you'd have to say that is a rivalry symbol because either team can beat either side and we've seen that over the last few years. But this matchup between the patriots and the jets now not so much rivalry at this present moment. Maybe except for a in in in passion only because the jets three intent. But in and because we're to be true rivalry and you realize you have to have. One team capable of beating the other -- of time now of course you will recall that the jets didn't beat the patriots. At Gillette stadium a year ago and in fact the jets and Eric Mangini reveled. In that win a year ago on in Indy came as a surprise to a lot of fans not just patriots fans. And so in that regard that game probably served as the catalyst for what's going on right now. It'll do we know of course that it would appear that you know during that regular season game -- of that one. During the playoff game which the -- came back in and got beat by the patriots. That there was a jets employee doing the very same thing for the patriots that the patriots did under the jets. Earlier this year that is videotaping someone who was expelled from the stadium and get the details are not exactly clear based on. All the reports in Newsday and getting some of the things on pro football -- dot com and if some other items that are out there in and amongst the various Internet sites in trying to research isn't -- people and in his Fred Mitchell while ago you know these guys talked about a little bit yesterday. Bomb I am. Kind of looking at it from a little maybe a little bit different perspective here today -- the fact that number one it certainly doesn't. It doesn't make with -- Paige did right and I am not about -- However what it does say is is a discussed with Fred curse just a little while -- couple months ago if you're just so log on the fact that. If there's any truth to this at all and then after the patriots decided just to squelch it. Feeling like you know it's not going to go anywhere or maybe the patriots knew that this was a practice they did as well have they brought it out in the -- kind of flight in themselves on this thing which certainly plausible scenario then to have Eric Mangini or Mike had a bomber whoever from the jet service the whistle blower in all of this. -- just really smacks of pure and adulterated betrayal especially this -- and I realize he doesn't work pets anymore but that you can understand it will be -- perspective -- on why maybe the handshakes at midfield and post game or is cold. As they are. I mean let's face it. If your best friend policy your right hand person. At at work right someone who you really depend upon to get the job done day in and day out right so when you've trusted company secrets with. All of -- up for another opportunity you're not going to stand there like right. But the other opportunity happens to be -- chief competitor of the business that you -- and then all of a sudden you learn. That you person did your friend your cold or your confidant has leaked company -- company secrets. It to your competitor. In an effort to gain an advantage on you to use the kind of person who saved them. -- to begin with and trying to use it to their advantage in order to big you. Well then obviously you get a I think a clearer picture of what this particular scenario really is all about. You know in so to that end that's a little alarming. That this whole if we look at it on the surface just the service now. Honestly again I I go through this based on on on the fact again as I've always said and I will continue to maintain the answer is always somewhere in the middle. It's never one extreme or another but just based on what we know on the surface. Without diving into the nitty gritty details here. Based on the service of this story I I am from little shocked. This is a you know I mean this is a fraternity. Coaching is returning the NFL as a fraternity. And yes they're going to try to beat the pants off of everybody else that's what being in this fraternity news. And sharing company trade secrets is it for Bolton it's just not it it's. It's not within the spirit of the law now obviously the law is subject to conjecture. With the that was told everyone that now on in his no longer able to subject to conjecture at this stage. But I wonder honestly if Eric Mangini did this in an effort to. Gain favor or get an advantage or they all's fair in love and football LO Warren football that particular instance to do that to Belichick who gave him his start. And then launched him on his path that it too where he is now I am I'm stunned. That the win at all cost scenario. Is is great as it is maybe I'm even a little naive I'll certainly admit that at this stage of the game. I mean I'm for competed. And you know I have friends you know competing radio stations television stations different entities and certainly I've friends who -- broadcasters. You know for teams throughout the Big East you know where I work. And we're friends but you know they won the game starts I want my team -- up on his team just like he wants his team to -- might think it's only natural it's much more fun. Make your job much more easy and exciting when your team a successful. Same -- here. And so you can still shake hands the game is over and be friends I firmly believe that I believe that every day. Every day. Everyday -- got a game I live that the only way that it wouldn't work as if you were doing television in your split Oregon available when your team broadcaster your team journalist it's different. He justice you live you meet you breeds you right you broadcast you talk about these guys that you cover. And you know hey I'd be like me you know saying what wanted to play right down the middle of the road here between patriots in the Jetsons look at this game on its merits well that's kind of stupid it's kind of silly. You know I worked for the patriots. Doesn't mean that we can't be objective and our opinions but over the patriots I want them to do well makes our job that much more fun around here. So when you know. I just I I guess I guess I just am naive that it has to be it I'm just a little foolish in thinking that. You know trade secrets remain trade secrets that you just don't spill their guts. When he -- to somebody else and that's apparently what has happened within the jets organization. Maybe in an effort to win favor with -- new employers Eric Mangini spilled his guts and they said her. Well that's kind of cool let's use it against them. He -- can't do what goes around comes around. And of course everybody seemed to think that -- around part. That happened this Sunday however the -- may have a distinct something to say. Up comes round part because that we do get an ever ready upwards of one to two feet. As I'm going around on the various with other sites -- dot -- was saying that weather channel saying that earlier a couple of other rom. What the reporters listen to some of the local people around here are saying that -- the -- projects. Directly toward the land it rather then heading up maybe towards the -- in the islands in the ocean. We could get black with one to two feet he could be true nor'easter the likely scenario is announced -- looks like it's gonna track a little bit out toward the east. And I'm not a meteorologist known to play one on the radio but you know the fact is that the miserably before then we kind of get it would get we get hit -- but it wouldn't be. You know I don't think you would be you know a foot it might be you know six inches and a lot of slot thereafter so we'll see what happens. But that's what we have to look for -- so you know yesterday we were talking -- when we're -- do you from mom New York we talk a little bit about. Why would be the better. -- what would be the better scenario -- 72 to three or 63 to thirteen game or 38 nothing. And I think -- of them the votes that we head. In -- 38 nothing was the more it was a more popular choice simply because you shut out the other guy and when you shut somebody out you shut them up. I mean that's that's the punch in the notes is what -- shut out and that's the one thing that this patriot team really doesn't have this year. They don't have a dominating defensive effort they have -- punched somebody in the -- defensively but haven't kept them out of -- overall the scoreboard. And so navy. It away maybe this sort of plays into their in their favor. Because it's going to be very hard I think for anybody to score the wind -- swirling. And were already looking at is I'm looking at the weather forecast looks 125 to 35 mile per hour winds on Sunday. We've -- 34 with driving snow. I'm going to try to play football game at 1 o'clock eastern time in the stuff. So that's the case we're going to find out once and for all of whether or not the patriot -- on the football. We're certainly going to find that out because it seems to me that may be the only reliable way and maybe even that won't be reliable simply because. You just don't know on -- it's going to be -- it will be rough it will be slick it will be cold will be slippery. Balkan in the on the ground. So there's the that this is a this is unique -- scenario coming up this weekend there's no doubt about it you've got this whole article maybe the jets. Did the patriots in the -- did the jets first. As a new York new media is reporting allegedly. And of course the jets are denying it patriots have no comment or concentrating on this game which is why it's understandable that's what they should they should rise above it. But it presents an interesting a case study in really what it's about to be competitive in what it's like to be in the middle of a rivalry and so we're taking this rivalry now to a different level. It's still rivalry even though the jets are not good this year because the jets have recently beaten the patriots they beat them in a hole 123 games ago. Between the two sides so certainly the jets are capable but we've got I think true dislike. The one ingredient that most rivalries really. You know you say it's right well it's great but is there hatred is there emotion is their businesslike. For the other side and -- you can answer yesterday at. The natural rival. We got a good contest to -- don't have that doesn't mean that bad game if you don't have that emotional factor you know play into it but the jets and the patriots now has. You know emotion and add to that of course albeit ever the president New York versus New England scenario. And you've just got the makings of one doozy of arrival. And so now you begin to understand some of the mindset of why the patriots fans in particular you more -- them of course. Are of no swirling about our like a pack of sharks swimming in the water. Waiting for that first sign of blood to drip in the -- going to be old Everett. It read it it it certainly stands to be a unique scenario on Sunday by adding all this into the equation. I don't think in in this his full Wright said this yesterday on the program. I did not think that this is going to be a sixty semi and a new you know close to nothing out like most people were hoping for I suppose as -- yesterday before I even learned about the possibilities. And I still think that even the case today who wouldn't get some thoughts now from Boston."

[15:41]" Yeah well I think it's interesting only the fact the patriots got flag with the on president penalties in yet. You know they chose to -- signed up apparently or the jets transgression a year ago when you know the jets decided to blow the whistle over the patriots transgression this year."

[17:03]" I don't -- and that's yeah not me yeah that's true an instance we may not now and then and I just that to that point you know I would find out what I would ask you know what I want the NFL actually -- because -- is that the temperature reported a year -- it's --"

[18:33]" Yeah that's assumes -- away team that this kind of working out because if this is the case secret certainly -- the upper hand is certainly in terms of -- in losses in performance this year -- I. Time will back on the you know that it certainly plays into -- I was gonna target but here added to to open a program today in terms of the fact that the patriots and the jets now -- moving into AA. That we just don't see a lot of other maybe not even enough -- in the NFL that is one of the pure rivalry when you actually including motion and maybe even a little dislike -- hatred. In the mix."

[19:09]" And I think that's what makes for a great rivalry I think you have to have been -- animosity and even if it doesn't even if it comes from something other -- that the world -- ones may have been enhanced our -- enhancement should they now may have been most of my hands the whole stallion playing I think. That it's -- much help from both teams to go -- games -- each other -- and showing on the field -- and -- about how -- you -- carried -- I don't look at this little -- competitive -- into the game sort of -- but I also think that you know maybe we -- is not sure enough so that is in -- from this -- if we want to -- then and I think that's what makes -- so yes all of us -- love of the game -- the thought that everybody's playing for something other then -- that the fact that they have to because that's how they get --"

That itself wasn't worth something that made it in my memory something that I -- I'll never forget and now that wasn't I mean it was a it was a pretty good storm and it wasn't something and -- outside a lot in the game and watching players makes no angels in the field but this action if it doesn't -- comes to. [21:09]" They certainly do so in and here's I guess the whole point because. The patriots in terms of their friends in particular have been just you know. Woman trying to end the analogy them it was their like they're like sharks and -- to win the first sign a blood in the they're gonna just drop in the going to get after it and in the in the venomous going to come out and that's what people think it was going to be sixty something than nothing to have a game. Has always been a great equalizer especially when two teams are not even. On the field as apparently these two teams are not so. It was -- a chance for the jets -- play it close but maybe even with this game it's plays in their favor."

[21:45]" I think you're right about the agenda and it and it doesn't make an interest that you could make what we thought would lead you know albeit old dude -- hope keys it's over before they even start -- the game turn into something more interest thing because all -- although -- and having watched -- New -- performed -- amazing. Kaman getting out I know they haven't had to do it under real brutal weather conditions so far I don't know I -- part of me that's still -- this tour and they are well good for both teams. First goal to have that. You know little little wedge because look they haven't talent totally different without a whole lot faster than you have a better receiver than you and you can't cover me when the ground this is -- idea that you still might not be able to cover me multiple -- Russian church."

[22:40]" Now now that's possible. And I guess were only going to learn once we get the players on the field we kind of do this I just. Seem to think that this could into being an equalizing factor and of course if you go patriots from a strictly X and situation. The one thing the difference that the tens at least and maybe some media. Still -- to doubt about as the patriots running game and whether or not they have the ability to run the ball when they really needed to on the ball they haven't needed to yet and I'd need two on Sunday."

You don't feel comfortable with in terms of an offensive even needs to run because of how spectacular how quickly power effectively they can score and moved the ball through the air but I but I look at the talent look at it how well Laurence Maroney can't run when -- look at Buehrle got talk about -- can pick up. You know I -- look at the different things that -- able to do in -- on the -- in those sort of like situation old -- places that we've seen through the year and and I feel myself you know this team could run the ball effectively wild that didn't and I don't think because -- they they don't have to do and and I I also think that it's something to be said about your front Q are you set up the what you do best. This team. Throw the ball well then and therefore everything else does including run the ball is set -- by the ability to throw so it's a complementary part."

That would be kind of the case between -- I thought the game might might. These people are the equalizer you talk about equalizer -- good it is no suitable to run the football effectively and -- and that's the step and I think really. We hit you between you guys is it will cut the rear end about it -- you could want a running back to run and power -- yards and -- the circumstances -- no teams that number would would would. Seemingly easy for a close game and give them a chance to win it it made no difference when you're as explosive as the patriots are just as effective pitchers that run the ball let Monroe meg are actually and so they just just. You don't know the running game and how well that's still worked out for."
