[0:00]" Let's pilots guns doubts about -- well. It speeds patriots playbook government property and the -- right out that -- patriots playbook. Breaking down last Sundays game -- at admitted it and because the back going to pass over the top -- and getting -- go bought. Pie that they've won -- mental rest of the 2000 and NFL's season -- want. Beer cans them before and stuff in between you can bet you one break even at one right now."
[0:33]" Yeah community you learn."
[0:40]" Patrick playbook for Thursday right here on patriots dot com radio job of what you and it. What has turned out -- yet again another wet Thursday in the northeast this morning it was it was. It was blizzard like conditions in Boston in your around here that you know we're talking about although little less so south. In southern New England we still look at what the forecast called for Sunday's game of the Miami Dolphins and it appears to be -- awful forties. And -- Rain this time not necessarily snow. In the forecast for Sunday so if you have tickets of your coming to the game just make sure not yes you'd still should be dressed warmly this time -- mean for goodness -- people get real. But you know. Prepare for what stuff. I don't know how that affects the game. Just yet. Based on what we saw this last week -- say I think. Couldn and wet is worse then warmer and wet now -- on the -- is really good for anybody but now let's just wait and see how it goes. You know another of the POW guys when they do their picks and Thursday's. You know they've all had a tendency to go we -- with the dolphins or mean go with the patriots to cover over the dolphins with a win especially. But based on whether you know one. I am right now and it's tough for me it's tough for me to take the patriots and and in 22. It's tough for me do I don't know that keep in mind nobody they won the first game by 21 at Miami. Game they would 42 to seven happen to win 4920. So I you don't know that I can give them -- like and give the patriots the 22 in the I think based on what we saw last week in what we -- to -- of the previous three weeks prior to that my tendency is to say that the dolphins cover that 22. But that's just me being an -- I'd like to know how you feel because since this is Thursday this is prediction day so fire off the scores web radio at patriots dot com. Send men let me know what you think the score will be. Predict the game if you have some reasons causes what happy let's see which I mention the guys -- want to go exports. Use the Madden NFL only game and they created a matchup between 72 dolphins in the 7 patriots the two teams that look liable who won obviously started there the other one is trying to get their to beat the an appeals to loan on beans in the regular season at least the stage of the game and I really that it was kind of -- I mean you think you know initially -- the as the patriots crush them which with the guys just. But it wasn't really the case I'm not going to go play by play this for it would just singers and theaters -- points that I noticed from the result in the result was patriots 31. Dolphins 27. -- frankly yes that was a little closer and I thought it would be I thought maybe. When I saw the story on the on the you know on the Sam I thought probably about 37. What needs -- 171 somewhere in that's what I. But it was close but it would be in and here's what they did become a level playing field considered the you know 35 years between two teams. I'm bad if you -- Miami starting offensive line which averaged at that time back in 1972 offensive line averaged about 250 pound remand. Well that's the size. The linebacker today pretty much but that was about the normal size for an offensive lineman 35 years ago to promote. So what they did is they added a -- brown -- I think they brought it up to around 280 ish somewhere in that vicinity then the rules -- the game reflected today's rules. In the example that I gave was one of the ones that EA sports game and Sam defensive backs obviously back in 72 days here could -- receiver down the field until the pass was thrown what happens in the air. Then according to the rules of the day it's that attitude then the defense -- could not touched the receiver. Today of course touch receiver after five yards and -- he could very -- flight. So at any -- They reflected today's rules rather than nineteenth that would do. That put I think the 72 dolphins little bit morbid disadvantage I would say if you actually did this in the real world scenario but somewhat surprised with the dolphins onion. Back the dolphins had a 107 lead at the end of the first quarter. On at halftime the score was 1717. Patriots back tied it according the simulation here on Stephen Gostkowski 37 yard field with 43 ego. Before -- let's see the dolphins scored their touchdowns KQ did on one yard -- soccer run. A 36 yard field goal from -- you -- in 63 yard run from Mercury more race. Old ma -- Please nobody tell the real -- that he scored in the simulated run against the patriots would never hear the end of it and then in the third quarter. That's when the patriots fell into a little bit of trouble it took a point or seventeen lead on a Laurence Maroney three yard run. Then with 240 to play in the third quarter -- you Permian knocked Ohman toward united -- point fourth want to. And then just before the fourth quarter. Paul Warfield and a six yard touchdown pass from Bob Griese and the dolphins lead at 27 to 24 headed into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter there was only one school. They came with 542 point Tom Brady two yard touchdown pass to Jabar Gaffney 3127 patriots and that was the finals courts and statistically speaking be big heroes were Brady and Randy Moss Brady threw for 314 yards but he did throw two touchdown passes to -- in the first. First score of the game was three yarder and the second score of the game early in the second quarter was a nine yard so that was -- 3127 patriots. The exports simulated game between 72 dolphins and the 2007 patriots. You think about though that the examples web radio at patriots dot com you have some thoughts on that one way -- the other the kind of broke down some of the individual matchups as well Randy Moss for instance against the Miami cornerbacks they temple in. Curtis Johnson they had Paul Warfield of course the outstanding Hall of Fame receiver for the dolphins against Asante Samuel which frankly I find the most intriguing matchup. On both sides and the one that I thought you know given the day and the agent. Which these you know errors you know and these players actually existed to me that's the most intriguing match up a ball on the field. He's actually I think Paul Warfield was talented enough where he'd give Asante -- some problems. Based on the physical -- if you actually put it in Rio -- present day terms. Warfield was -- you know he was one of the best route runners ever to play the game. He was smooth slick. He wasn't just down right speedy fast but he was just he was very Jerry rice like well before rice's time that makes any sense to you'll. All war it was a great. Receiver now obviously Samuel you know is athletically more inclined to be able to stay with a guy like work field even for his time warp -- I think was at his age. In ahead of his day. Warfield been. Could be Warfield now. And still play well. And probably be an all pro receiver might in fact. My guess would be that of of all those 72 dolphins the ones that really stand out as is being I think potentially took their talents then. And then kept them alive to the point where they could actually play today in present day circumstances Warfield. Maybe greasy may be in I would say -- Larry's -- probably the best chance of playing today based on the bounce back. They had that Mercury mores and a match up with though Rodney Harrison which was adamant -- they had Tom Brady against him Miami's -- got a Dick Anderson will be. You know probably agreements preeminent safeties in the entire NFL by conservative and they both just happen -- itself or. So that was pretty cool to some of the numbers here's the number for you -- stat geeks like me the statistics in this simulated game Brady was twenty to 31314 yards three touchdowns rushing Laurence Maroney nineteen carries 81 yards and a -- Randy Moss had seven catches one point 12 touchdowns Donte' Stallworth and five for eighty would -- the dolphins superlative Griese was twelve of 17163 touchdown -- moral actually came in and played. It was April 11 for a hundred yards that probably sickly because they split time that your anyway with with injuries. And so again you read the simulation in there looking at the season numbers in tried to from you know sort pro rate that -- game libel but that's how moral his snaps in the game. I doubt very seriously they would go with a two quarterback system against patriot -- moral but -- Mercury more with eighteen carries a hundred point two yards and a touchdown against the 7 patriot defense. Somehow inexplicably -- only had nine carries and 33 yards for a touchdown. To me I would that would be exactly up with a sock -- pounded away. In theory that the patriots middle pound pound pound try to keep the ball again out of you know Brady's and in the patriots all -- his hands right and who bettered that that would Larry's -- for goodness six. One of the best between the tackle -- runners that maybe have ever existed in the NFL certainly in that era he was the best. And he only had nine carries for 33 yards and went in based on the breakdown of the scoring has it occurred I mean the dolphins were never out of the game. So disease are beginning less carries in the dolphins ready to throw the football to come from behind but -- I was little surprising receiving Paul Warfield six catches 69 yards and touchdown Howard Twilley remember him for catches 88 yards. Led them in yardage. So anyway I thought that was really interesting things to come out of -- him again it was them what you exports and I think in conjunction with a champion and they used Madden NFL 8 to drive the simulation and the patriots won 31 points in and really that is closest we'll ever get really comparing the two teams. If of course -- do end up sixteen you know and you have the two teams that were perfect during the regular season. Page to court try against the 2007 version of the dolphins become the first team to ever. Ever in the 88 year history of the NFL to ever start a season fifteen and but does the that a new York new there. Com but that's what kind of covered up on Sunday a couple of other things that I wanted to bring up that I've come to light from yesterday's show and we made you know -- rather impassioned plea passionately passionately for Wes Welker inclusion in the pro bowl. And even if that falls on their fears ultimately and he does not. Get in knew it was determined late yesterday that the Kimberly-Clark corporation Shaw's supermarkets. Well awarded the 2007 patriots twelfth player award who Wes Welker the award is presented annually to the patriots player who personifies patriots team spirit. Performs beyond expectations and is recognized for his contributions to the organization. On the field and in the community. So that was pretty cool last year the twelve where what was Laurence Maroney. Willie McGinest won it in 5 Troy brown you know four here is -- Dan Klecko want -- all three. Adam Vinatieri won in 2002 Brady won in 2001 Tedy Bruschi went in 2000 back. In this decades the winners the twelfth player award but it went to Wes Welker. So that was so very fitting and Adam. Deserving as will just to give some notoriety and a few props to a guy who certainly deserve it needs to be recognized for his performances in. And he might -- ultimately still be recognized some performances. A before all listened Nazis the other big issue. And this is sort of off the field. Heading into the game outside of -- now we have a who we have a little different X factor involved do we not. Coming into the game on Sunday after all the Miami Dolphins now are. Bill Parcells team and -- yesterday about this time we're talking about how looked like the Atlanta Falcons went -- well landing the tuna. And have him as their Vice President of vote football operations and as it turns out. He was used in the falcons' perhaps all along to get what he needed from the Miami Dolphins now yes keep in mind. That bill has not won notably two homes in Florida so if he can return to the NFL he's going to want to do it somewhat close to home and that's why I think this makes a lot of sense but please do not underestimate. And I think many of you being patriots fans since well before the Bill Parcells era here in the 1990s I think you understand. That it takes a rather unique ego to drive an individual like coach Parcells yes he's very successful he will undoubtedly be hall of Famer. He just can't stay away from the game no matter -- you know. Much drives and he's been awakened one year 67 year old 67 years older you wonder how much drive he has I think taken this job shows you how much drive demands that he might not have. The wherewithal to deal with day to -- problems of coaching and by that I mean dealing with. Players in their personalities that is that he's very much old school. And he just either a couldn't or beat didn't want to adjust to go with -- that players do things nowadays as opposed to. -- ten to twenty years ago when he was in his prime coaching. Understood okay -- To an extent right by. -- still has the drive and soul now even though he really hasn't proven it. On a player personnel level per say now is getting a chance basically to buy the groceries in Miami. And make no mistake about it. When you add in the fact that you know a he's close to his homes and B he has a chance to hook up. Twice a year. With two of the organizations which he's basically brought back from the dead all let me tell you ego is a wonderful wonderful thing. But sometimes you really need to learn to be careful what you wish -- just might get it. And I think that's exactly instance in this case. I'm sure he relishes the chance to go well you know and and in in and try to pound on the jets and certainly match wits again. When -- watch his former protege don't think I mean really come off. You must have you have to have a decided. Driving class a type a personality slash ego in order to be successful. He has it. And if you think it you know I get a chance to you know take a little maybe of the luster off vote you know king bill. I'm going to do -- to show on that I still Kenyon. All that very much -- to -- equation absolutely 110% could not be more unequivocal statement. Ego drives the -- in this case straight at him. So now he's got a chance he's got what he's wished for. He -- you know. Toil and go back to work close to home he is -- team in his image. Which basically he did with the Dallas Cowboys even though you know he didn't get a chance to coach his team frankly I think this is one of the few good things that Jerry Jones reliever don't cowboys he knew win. To change captains on the cowboy -- Parcells drafted in in and brought in players because that was didn't have much when he first got there admittedly. And he pushed and cajole to nurtured and brought along. In the it was time for a guy like wade Phillips who is less demanding to come in and smoothed everything over and but that was you know. You know got a chance to perhaps be there in the Super Bowl against the patriots perhaps in -- coming up in that -- so if that's his team that's just. In only took the patriots to super doubles he took the jets to be an AFC championship game you know the cowboys this year are still his byproduct obviously he won two Super -- with the giants. So now you have Bill Parcells back in the division so when you watch the Miami Dolphins this week. And you say all of my you know how bad could this team get you know we're going to pound on this team for a couple more years at least before they get back some semblance of -- of normalcy. -- be careful. I don't know that he can change overnight -- its highly unlikely. But now you're dealing with Bill Parcells Miami Dolphins. Starting this Sunday this is when the evaluation period -- he's got two weeks left of the regular season to see what he likes on this team. And decide you know -- whatever he can discard you most likely will. By the way anybody think the the first thing I thought when I heard late last night. That he would put the Enron on Atlanta and decided to hook up with the Miami Dolphins as their VP of football ops. First thing I thought I was. You don't want border -- so lucky we -- so incredibly lucky in New England. Why is that -- you know there's no way in hell there is no way. That was walker comes becomes patriot who Parcells is no absolutely no shot. How -- we now that this happened and Randy Mueller which. No -- Parcells deals Welker number one and he certainly doesn't deal him within the division no matter. How many or what kind of quality draft picks you get in return not happening. That's the thing that probably immediately make the dolphins better he won't make stupid moves like that. Agree or disagree web radio at patriots dot com that's our email address. We need to fuels eagles coming -- the program of course the top of the next hour Russell Baxter are in a Phil Richards courted -- you'll join -- as he normally does. On a Thursday's will have locker room conversation is will the patriots and will have a conference call from Miami Dolphins cam Cameron. Their head coach and Cleo Lemon they're starting quarterback. How nervous is cam Cameron right now. Any thoughts one way -- the other do you think maybe that he's going to end up being bill Parcells guy after all said and done. I can't imagine. I really can't imagine Bill Parcells not wanting to bring in his own guy to coach. If I'm if I'm cam Cameron I think I'm probably somewhat nervous about it. A couple of emails in here in the what's your coach Cameron this and come from the -- Who says Bill Belichick -- is the best head coach unifil by four however when you violate rules of fair play horrified to the nth degree you're demoted from considerations he's talking about the coach of the year conversation that we were talking about yesterday. Since my first choice might McCarty is he only had four pro bowlers few curious omission there like Jennings protect 142 record. An agent far been no big name running back he is my second choice -- Tony Dungy. Although we as the best QB in of the current D linemen have started. And last year's Super Bowl coaching a rookie wide receiver Gonzales no -- most the season and many other injuries and departures. Projected fourteen to two record and shot the pats a much better surface than in the past. Honorable mention Jon gruden and example Romeo Cornell in Cleveland. Xiamen hard to believe that this year for this -- sixteen you know maybe even nineteen and over Canada voting will not be enough. But those who disagree you probably the -- about dogs. -- well I don't know that I go that four but the I understand your point. -- squeeze one -- your time being and he says Brady is done it on but zoning in on moss. Brady has done it is worked so far I don't think it will be a big problem Brady brought it up in an interview and admitted to it so what do you think he's going to do now. Desperate had a big game for Welker this week as -- actually -- game for everyone this week my view -- well who cares passing game rates. Fair enough web radio at patriots dot com need your score predictions for Sunday with a patriots cover the 22. Well they obliterate the dolphins will they put them back on the heels will they send them acting are the ball -- a packet in themselves after getting there. One and so -- only win of the season or. Do they answer the bell like the Baltimore ravens and maybe somewhat similar to what the Philadelphia Eagles did. Did they treat this is there one shot at fame if not fortune for 2007 by putting into the one gargantuan effort against the patriots this Sunday. They are the last team to beat New England in the regular season possibly -- 21 nothing a year ago. If the patriots win this someday they'll tie -- record of eighteen consecutive regular season wins. In the dolphins do. Cam Cameron had coached that often sees -- thinks he can here's his conference call members of the patriots media."
[22:42]" Quite right that you."
[22:47]" Well thank you don't know you can enjoy the civil completely -- little Walter I was -- great challenge this week and we've moved up but I kept."
[23:00]" think about it there's all of Europe. All of that -- last always. Knocking on the door and wonder where -- what what was the gradient schedule that -- ingredients last week."
[23:19]" Well that's -- basically for most things -- the national football most dangerous most games are close close games as we do the best we've we've we've blocked kick week would greatly greatly players pay the difference in the game and that's what comes down to."
[23:39]" Yeah yeah. Progress has got him last weekend I progress in -- team but individually some players like. And I point to play you always."
[23:55]" I think there's there's no question that this the progress that we see in terms of our preparations from my point is the tibia and I would continue to prepare where we've practiced that's that's been important than -- it and -- either of those sort of equity. When we see them entertained you know you've got a chance to each week and -- you see individually different you know performances each week and they're young guys are continue to play hard and to improve every young player like Jason Taylor goes a very good team so actually block -- kick he starter caught a touchdown sure we've even our better players are hurt or -- heart 21 and -- don't players her little the only difference so they just play hard and they're excited to be out there."
[24:45]" the factored. -- your team -- growing a lot of young players different. And coaching after look at individuals progress but little steps and not worry about -- particular."
[25:02]" Well if if your question yes and it'll be time to look at the big picture a couple of weeks now. But you know we've we've played a lot of young players are really that wasn't planned to play operational cash. For whatever reasons over either of these guys who have been forced to play. I was stepped up then locked -- my job but as little bowl there's so little learning curve the National Football League young players have been -- that was our guys and of their."
[25:31]" And -- are about the patriots that would be huge. -- national football focus. At all but accomplished that in comeback and of the warrior players or yeah or just another."
[25:49]" Well I am due to trust this -- just another Bill -- I think that it would be. I keep on our part however to division game it's it's a game against a very good football game and it's a game that. Anticipate that we could play very well it -- before our approach isn't going to change were our preparations and the on going. And him that I don't know how to approach a video -- in the game comes around you don't play -- and have special."
[26:21]" Tom Brady's incredible yeah we usually run on him -- you an -- yards. Just plant out of that might well want your guys I mean well what you see Brady now with him. Historically it worry you as their quarterback already where you can call about."
[26:43]" Well I guess that travel through all that well let it go. From my perspective you know want to disturb the always had a tremendous amount of respect for just and from maybe it's because the competitive areas and then but from a coaching side. You can talk about all the touchdowns to talk about pro league all points here's a guy with a truly understands important taking care of football that's. That's what went -- the -- Well -- perceptions are right there that that statistic our number three years ago the fewest shame it was -- And I eager to bill which are all well over Drew -- eight then Troy Aikman that was -- I think maybe lectures my parents. I don't know -- by going here with only six so. Debate that statistic speaks allowed estimated terms it is his understanding about what."
[27:46]" You know you talk today about the fact that yeah he's lucky am I mean -- you're great at one area here or another but the only person we were not slamming the ball he's -- all. -- better than it was more in an area. And having that Providence and coached to do it takes time to develop -- How do -- all how do you build that up as a coach."
[28:20]" Well it. I want obviously tremendous respect for for -- well have prolonged time job. But he's done there with all that you say. The other thing -- to promote this thing can change -- the entry here injury there. Sometimes just about hear about they're all these plans can change I think just impressive thing from my perspective it was a span deductibility shell out supplement that we all -- you gotta -- Grow the circumstances -- but I think that's second could stand up my mind that he and it would do have a lot to sustain the success there."
[29:07]" Right -- jobs did you have and certainly won't win. It."
[29:17]" Well he's not well it's it's important that you stay the course of the -- believe -- canola. Have equity there are some or situation over the last team in the league in San Diego you know we're a lot from Marty Schottenheimer could go -- the jetlag national league first pick in the draft. They've been and always worker way. Well the -- sort speak. Well it was a great learning stressing don't lose belief in him what you what you believe if you don't Ballou and believe the people around an outstanding staff and that we -- believe for the players and that hasn't changed hands. And that's not going to change and I think that that --"
[30:01]" You do you think that do what's -- now that you went up. Talent obviously get more."
[30:10]" Welcome everybody knows this is this year and -- it. My job and our job is to get the most of what we have every given year and that's this year and then. You -- this just. Things in the year in -- to reinvent yourself and grow each and every year whether you -- in the playoff the playoffs first pick of the draft last pick in the draft whatever it is but we're we're called an excellent this thing in the circumstances work right now. And two -- of them."
[30:45]" It and I go to Q and a lemon. All."
[30:58]" That's cam Cameron head coach of the Miami Dolphins you met with the Ron hobson Quincy patriot letters long time -- veteran beat writer. A current patriots and serving as the moderator of the conference call. -- at Gillette stadium asking all the questions coach Cameron earlier as the dolphins come in for the 4:15 eastern time kick off on Sunday here in Foxborough with a record of one and thirteen. Can't believe. It it almost sounds strange but can't it is just it's just. I don't know that you could make this stuff up I really don't the dolphins the last team to beat the patriots in the regular season. Point one nothing last December the tenth. And of course they followed that wind up with sixteen straight defeats. Before beating Baltimore twenty to sixteen in OT last Sunday. Sixteen straight losses court patriots have responded now with seventeen straight wins. Thank you may get eighteen since that loss if they win on Sunday. My -- don't complete opposite direction and so now they have you know -- From what I understand and inane conversation earlier today with them and I'm sure after commendable network it was on note WEEI with a second this morning and he mentioned that calm. He thought that based on his conversations with those that -- that the dolphins and few people close to the the team and the situation there. That their entire focus. Was on getting off the site. They desperately any way they possibly could want it to get a win somewhere and they felt like last week was the last. Best chance. They did it in so now. Feeling like also that several of their banged up players and they are certainly banged up is as much as any team in the entire league this year. It felt like well you know some of the players on this team. Princeton Jason Taylor being one Zach Thomas being another we're just hanging on as long as they did through week seven week eight week nine week ten hanging on. Because they wanted to play on the field to get that one win make sure that they they got the one win so they can they could you know absolutely would not go down in in glorious defeat. And go down in infamy as the first -- and sixteen team and NFL history. Yes I do recall the -- extent of the -- went fourteen but that can like 72 dolphins it's a different universe now. And you know guys you know. Stayed active and played through some of their Nixon they're in their dings until we got the win and so wouldn't surprise him. If a guy like Jason Taylor did not play this week. Others Channing -- we talked about yesterday with a -- Darlington for the Miami herald he had arthroscopic surgery he's going to miss the last couple weeks older goes wondered as a linebacker. Several guys. You know may not play because it's -- all right you know what are. Our main primary focus for the remainder of 2007 was to get a win somehow someway. Anyway we -- And they did it. So rather than have a Super Bowl like herculean effort much similar to what Baltimore had a few weeks ago. In an effort to try to you know leave a lasting impression on -- seven. And you know play the real spoiler you know at the holiday party the patriots are trained to throw here dolphins now so you know one we got the win. We're not going to be the worst team in history. We can breathe easy now. And because that won't be that focus and the won't be that desire as a lot of guys frankly just beat up. That this may be easier for the patriots to accomplish in terms of getting when this week in that a lot of people expected to be right now. Annie and just based on conversations with people who have you know cover of the team follow the team you know through -- and the network so. I thought I frankly don't know how much stock I put and they -- to be honestly that's what our conversation was earlier today the McHugh of privy to that you know I did say earlier that I wasn't entirely certain the patriots would cover the 22 -- just based on. What we've seen over what three of the last four weeks in which patriots have played and not covered. Against teams that they had twenty plus point spreads on going and kick off. In -- single one. So because of that I'm kind of wondering. Overall no well okay where's the logic here dozens of victory is -- of course you believe what you know -- shippers getting from Miami and getting you know from. That particular story. If you and a lot of stock in it frankly does make a little was sent you know I mean. You know there -- you know trying to finish up you know without anybody getting killed and you know obviously the entire organization is going to go another direction. Would -- are still not getting rated to handle the the football operations part of the equation in Miami. There could also be yesterday a small sliver. Here a part of this team says you know what I'm playing for my career -- from my job over the next two weeks I need to leave a good impression. And what better way to leave a good impression than you know plaque in the patriots upset the hit. -- there's a couple of ways that you could look at it. Ultimately we won't know which way the patriots fall until until we get you know into Sunday about it which way it -- I still tend to believe that it's it's going to be difficult patent cover this thing that the 22 points spread. Com web radio at patriots dot com that the email address looking for your score predictions here I'm sorry what -- again. Thank you very much I mean I'm I'm leaning right now toward. Well let's say I think I'm leaning considered -- don't cover on Wednesday. Very close in we're supposed to have rain on Sunday as -- stance. Probably mid to high forties and range of 67% chance of rain. If we do get that kind of precipitation on Sunday I think yes it will affect the game somewhat. I'm going to say the patriots will win this game. 3413 that's 21 but that so no they don't over the 22. Right now I'll say 3413 and it could be closer than that. What are your thoughts web radio -- Patriots dot com caught up in a fifteen to twenty minutes Russell Baxter. Com will join us from ESPN as he does on -- with the pats dolphins will look at the rest of book week sixteen around the National Football League. Right now boom -- get back -- toward the dolphins and their starting quarterback for Sunday is Cleo Lemon."
[38:00]" Played all right congratulations on your performance lastly aren't horrible don't want to do it well. I wouldn't admit -- the -- about how did you guys react to law. Don't all rolled out and and we haven't seen him. Problems over the years but when they win it is an exhale."
[38:26]" And then it would everybody because you know. Frustration you know there have been around there. I don't locker room -- you know both the pillow and -- in order to do you know -- and it definitely took it that we've been looking for -- it. -- to finish the game will win and Burnett facet over."
[38:49]" You know focused quarterback -- especially one. In baton. You've got -- last week or why you came in with it is -- performances. So well I've been -- so well you know what I -- cousin. -- about it as well."
[39:11]" Good discipline you know they didn't look for less than just what -- dependent. [40:34]" Dating back. Doesn't get mentioned so often as the -- but and he pats can be heard if you."
[40:45]" Yeah it is probably a smart thing but it's definitely Bogut both I think just like the more you know world they've read recognition plays. And on the play well they don't. It was not a veteran leadership it would Bruschi and so you're Rodney. I don't know Margaret -- Yeah solid top to bottom and you know we know -- quite. I think it's."
[41:29]" One other and again just as backyard around. Your -- back to -- or rushing touchdown. How many quarterbacks one more and you're -- out that -- franchise record spot."

[42:23]" Yeah yeah that's been a part of it. One little bit where it was not there and you know -- to throw the ball away and whatnot but which we know maybe get it over your. Just to -- a manageable down and distance. You know played like that you know eliminate the negative plays -- goal would."
[42:40]" You got the ball through -- don't last week and that and his development in order tonight you know more what is it."

[43:21]" You know Brady started. People France family or. Neither ugly and look at the patriots and how they're going -- they're great areas. We've got what we -- government -- go all of quite so. [46:11]" Great -- of the capitals and in America. Well I appreciate it talking well mostly all right whereas in the past but I bet they have."
[46:27]" Cleo Lemon in the starting quarterback for the Miami Dolphins via conference call with on hobson and patriots media from earlier. On Agile it's state you know I have to admit. You listen to what he has to say he's thinking dude that no shot. But then again you have to appreciate I think the fact that he knows he has a shot he does. And even though he may be somewhat overmatched in fact is statistically speaking out but he had pretty good game against patriots first time around. It may have been in garbage time but nevertheless you know he seems to have some ability. You wondered again what a guy like Cleo Lemon is really think -- win you know he knows that he is not going to be. And may never will be the quote on quote anointed one. Because first of all I think most fans would agree that the dolphins don't have the anointed one quarterback. -- that they picked in second or western John beck well so far he hasn't done very well this year now has seen but then again he could also argue he has had no support personnel whatsoever. So you don't really know what a guy like back could do and yet here come the dolphins into the 2000 and they draft next year they may very well go QB again. Although -- kind of tend to agree that you know. You'd probably have to look at someone like Glenn Dorsey at LSU that that certainly makes the most cents. All the quarterbacks that will be available coming out of college ranks this year who Matt Ryan from BC. I -- problem I don't know. You know I mean good quarterbacks yes well they franchise savers need hand thing not. And don't really think that there Brady -- even to be honest with you but who -- could be wrong my guess is that you know to make at least a couple maybe three quarterbacks can go in the first round and if that is the case would Miami potentially be one of those you know now with Bill Parcells hitting the equation -- going to be making the decision -- to help the dolphins are going to travel starting in 2008 my guess would be no but then again Parcells. It's like Drew Bledsoe in the the early ninety's when he had an opportunity to do so remember a quartet of patriots followers from way back will remember this formally it was almost like. -- so. Or rob -- Rick Meyer remember him from Saturday. Let's or more with some more flip a -- or -- and initially Parcells wanted Rick -- Can you imagine how that would have changed history. The email for him and then now with Russell Baxter committed -- bit of this when comes from what's the."
[49:45]" Unnamed."
[49:47]" From come from Mike who says let's be honest they're not a lot of questions to ask involved in the game this week eight. But when you're you're talking about Braylon Edwards I -- think of something that it would like its thoughts on. What is Romeo Crennel the next -- with a quarterback situation. The ground stick with -- Andersen was led them to a nine and five record of forty in the ball over Brady Quinn knew. The -- a lot for and risk taking a step backwards -- just start this is not a patriot specific question but it is better than another Laurence Maroney question this is true but it it's a true -- Q my. Well you know without being you know privy to a lot of inside info -- Cleveland Browns. My guess is is that you know if they're able to finish ten and six that are able to get into the playoff with Derek Anderson my guess is -- the guy they know that their Stockton in case and that happens. I don't know up without my -- of Anderson is is a guy that's under under contract for next year I don't think he is I think. And I and I could be wrong on this but I think he did. He -- walk I think they'll think he could create. I'm not entirely certain that. Com in that case you know I'm sure they'll make you -- some kind of qualifying offer. I mean how can you not quarterback -- to -- to the unum out of the playoffs and actually very good job. I personally believe that being on Derek Anderson should've gotten more pro -- mentioned that he did but okay he can't really argue with who got in so hum. He lets you that's a great question I mean they're I think they're in good shape either way. I mean you know you bring Derek Anderson backfired Brady Quinn hasn't of the year to learn -- a year to mature if you don't that you turn the ball over Quinn and -- And in theory you have a better season in more veteran line up to support him -- you did this year. So I think it only on the you don't bodes well for Cleveland in their -- least immediate future good question good pup -- in question. Okay here we go this come from -- as I agree that Maroney has not been good he has no vision. I loved watching him run into the -- into the back of his line and he dance is far too much that said he wouldn't be the first got to take a few years to develop. That's the exact same stuff about -- On until this year he danced in the hole had no vision and had to split time and another back in yet there he was this year looking down right E Lee proving me wrong. I think Maroney deserves the year he's young he does that much mileage and the tires and he -- get do something of course this is a deep you're running back but to be underclassmen declare. So that you could be a good thing to take. A -- one guy like Kevin Smith. Who might slip with a slow forty just in case Christian. Raleigh, North Carolina -- thank you for your early draft thought the pats if the patriots end up with a draft pick to. Through five I first thing they'll do -- try to trade down. If it's outside of the top five my guess is that probably who didn't keep. But it is in the top five and in the try to treat them -- and I just don't know that they keep the open player like Darren McFadden at the chance to get him. It is glamorous is that is that would be for all of us. -- I just. A part of him that our friend James at -- rapids North Carolina is John I thought you'd find this interest and James and use and we tables I find interest. He's is that -- give the colts props this week being for a team that twelve wins five straight years. It is great accomplishment but you know that the paper to the only team -- have a winning record each of the last seven seasons. Change I don't think I was aware of that that you told. -- they also have a better overall regular season record of the colts over the seven years. Even when he just include the last five years patriots still have a better overall record 64 wins for the past 62 of the cult's. And says oh yes. I hope this trend continues but over that same time period of the patriots play the colts in playoffs the regular season winner has also won the playoff game. Have you have a very merry christmas and happy New Year James and autograph it's good stuff chains. Yeah he backs it up a couple of tables and charts here but yes. The colts from 20012007 Nadal losing season along in the sixth and -- ripped off six straight winning seasons they went seven games. Patriots have not had a losing season winning years old one all the way through now they've won 84 games in that time. As far as the head to head is concerned 73 for the patriots in that time on is the advantage but yes. Team that won the game of the regular season also won the playoff game. Yes if you were patriots fan you'd certainly would hope that the trend would continue. John and Dallas your comment about Welker not come into the pats Parcells is in -- the opposite works as well. Parcells will be going after our free agents heavily in the offseason not only will they possibly make the dolphins stronger they're also -- division opponent well I guess that's possible sure first of all you gotta have an ownership group that is willing to pay the free agents and whether or not see you realize that a guy like Bill Belichick learned at the feet. Or you know and at the -- a guy like Parcells and so he learned I think how to put value at a particular position that you're speaking -- particular the guy like Asante Samuel. Who I don't believe will be back with the patriots next year that he goes often finds a free agent deal gets his money that he won't give the papers that the patriots put about one quarterback and I think they feel like. They can get as good about you -- corner. For less cash. My personal for another many of you'd think the patriots should just pay it's on -- is money but I don't -- appeared to have that. I just I fight I think that that would be against what they've always done. I could be wrong and I think you know if if I am wrong I think -- surprised as anybody. But it could happen and so if you -- and that's -- after Asante Samuel and throw money at him I'd be careful because again patriots. -- or a Bill Belichick Scott pioli and they learn from Bill Parcells. Okay so yeah just to go in get a patriot free agent they're not going to break the bank. The dolphins have a lot. Of need. And I don't think that they can cover up all of the need based on one or two higher priced free agents that they might snatch away from the -- patriots -- Dallas zone. I understand what you're saying I don't necessarily see it that way. You know he might go elsewhere but my guess is he'll try to find lower priced free agents and probably not this year with the patriots that you're going to go. [1:01:58]" Not really because I think both teams you know they. I think way to win -- didn't think that really affecting the terms of the passing game battle agreed as much. Unless it's leading oriented toward I think it would need all -- seems like the rain affects war if it's torrential. And not necessarily dusty and so on I think you're such an extra emphasis to hang onto the football when it's raining. -- to get -- winter -- simply be over prevailing factor in terms of playing beginning you know because there are some people who fumble. [1:03:13]" Right sure. Well I think that -- you're right about. The weather conditions. Probably not being quite as great this next week in terms of affecting the outcome of the game -- because the wind is expected to be lesser but. You know when you have a -- at home. We know that it's oblong for a reason to convince many different funny ways it is hasn't bounced too much against the patriots this this year that's for your thoughts initialing. On Bill Parcells not only a his return. The NFL in April was capacity but somehow coming back to Miami and having to face the patriots couple times a year now."
[1:03:48]" Well I think that makes for make from more intriguing drama and you know it's been such and -- directing marriage with Bill Parcells and the National Football League and I arrived at the great pleasure getting to know have a little bit working me here with -- he had and so on and you know before there was spite eat it before there was all the other craziness would mean -- Mangini and Bill Belichick with the jets stuffed. You know there was there was -- healthy little rivalry going on would when bill with the coach of the patriots in that way out of the coach of the jets may and one of his big movies with the patriots was too. Sign it reached -- free agent running back named Curtis Martin. To an offer sheet in which the patriots didn't match meant that he wound up with the jets after having. You know three -- season so would be with New England and of course it was coach Parcells who drafted. Curtis Martin in 1995 when he was with the patriots so. That -- the -- the patriots jets connections actually started well before. Mo Lewis -- Brady day out and so on it's it's kind of an ongoing thing so it did it interesting. To have Parcells back. Did the AFC east even though he wasn't originally in the Internet its cease to -- get with the you know it's his tenure with the giants but you know it's kind of need to circuit that you know he works for doing blood he worked for the jets now worked for the Miami Dolphins should at least be edited the ability to beat buffalo and superbowl so this is an elite on the round Robin what becomes -- the division."
[1:05:25]" Agassi could always go replace Marv Levy when he's done buffalo."
[1:05:28]" Well -- never they never. As as we learn and so on but I mean I'll I'll -- and pick the better hire you look at the cowboys right now -- even though he's not the head coach his fingerprints are all over the team you look at the eleven pro bowl players that got drafted this week and he drafted many of them you know the Benny -- going blanket parents Newman and operated and it's it's -- draft picks he head. And so once submitted other moves they beat -- dusty -- he did not sign am. Leonard Davis is a free agent colon to his first pro ball you never got the impression that he brought in Terrell Owens and seen that but he failed Tony Romo as a rookie free agent just like he's got a really good rookie free agent kicker it's first year in New England in Adam Vinatieri. So you know what what year around and he's the only coach to take four different teams -- the postseason in NFL history which which is built so legacy I want to school coaches take two different teams. This Super Bowl you. Presence or approach or all over the sleek you know he's the first. Two draft for good players in the first round to go back to 2000 European quit coaching the jets. He ran a draft for the jets -- in which they took four guys in the first rounder Shaun Ellis John Abraham Chad Pennington and yet but he backed. All the more played in the league they're not also with the jets but -- still playing in the league you know Peter Huber Chad Pennington windup it's a matter fact that your but all over the all over it is legacy -- on the NFL. I'd just like Bill Belichick it was part is that the one time future hall of famers once they finally leave the game you know it'd be good to have him back in the NFL. I can safely say will miss them around here is that there's no doubt about that because he brings a kind of insight that you don't necessarily get from a player he'd be printed from a and head coach at an executive. Mind helped build teams he's helped coach teams and it's a perspective I enjoyed listening to."
[1:07:39]" Let me ask you question that an email opposed made just a short while ago we thought that. Maybe because now Parcells is in Miami he might look to New England to potentially -- free agents to come away in -- for him in Miami on the lines of what it Curtis Martin what do you think about that."
[1:07:54]" I think that's always a possibility because that is the weight of not only business in the NFL the business in general what you what what if you're a startup company. I mean any you'll like it worked you're gonna go get your guys who you're most comfortable way. So I'm sure he'll be talking to coaches around the league I'm sure what people out of I'm sure he'll. Entice players just like changing needed when he left just like to be so crystal. Did when he left you know it is there's. No accident that Willie McGinest is it is it doing it in Cleveland album the deeply under Romeo Cornell also. It it's one thing to free agency it's always interesting you to connect the dots which comes a personality also connected that when it comes to coordinators free agency that's the league that that's why it's. That's why watching with the patriots have done watching with a -- to -- the terms of consistency. Continuity in the National Football League is very hard to come by right now. It used to be used to be we have the same teams in the -- 678 straight years. Okay we don't get that necessarily anymore a -- a very stable franchise in. Work too stable franchises in the patriots and the colts and that's why they're having to run that -- happy right now."
[1:09:11]" Is there any reason at all Russell do you think this Sunday for the patriots and nor the patriot fans to be concerned with. Over the outcome of the game."
[1:09:20]" What did something I don't know you listen there's always a lot of pride it goes in the divisional games look no further to what Philadelphia did last week in Dallas. Appearances to the contrary it had nothing to do with Jessica Simpson Carrie Underwood we Cheadle Bridget correct a Welch or anybody else it was a game that it would -- deal now going beyond a doubt too eager to grow beat them. Has -- do with defected Andy -- thirteen and five lifetime -- cowboy. They had something to do with that but anytime you get divisional game now I know the first one turned out it was a blowout -- close to get their but was off said that it was still 4928. So that the dolphins and the patriots are two totally different planes in terms of talent right now. And you know I'd acting developmental play hard but I know they practice hard all year it -- actually it's -- up each night last week against the Baltimore team that looks that that is -- because consistently for the last two months just bring to the fact that I still insists it's harder ago. Witness in this league it is undefeated this slate but I'd I'd be it be hard pressed to convince me that the dolphins. Really have a shot at winning this game all the light I don't know play very very art. Let's take until he gets in the backfield up for five times forces for a fight fumbles and -- three but back. We still wouldn't stared at the dolphins spent shop."
[1:10:47]" And we still don't really know by Jason Taylor's overall status for Sunday and."
[1:10:51]" Exactly so it was Jason Taylor and if they did our guys in the point decide. Of this team he gets some very very big games and that's not it that's totally understandable because the more you play in the opponent that we get that note but he. Affected the dolphins won last week was absolutely terrific I don't think it's any good for any team to go wouldn't let in this league and you know it's. He kind of root for a team not to Dudack much to Tampa Bay Buccaneers you might get that record off the books. Right -- except -- get something dolphins try awfully at the end there. Awfully hard to lose that gave what was also done. It's taken -- lead Jay Feely kicked the ball out of balance Baltimore got beyond the one yard line but big decision ticket pupil rather don't know -- it would no time out so they made it harder and so they did get the win. But it wasn't like -- came mountain. Big statement for next year so."
[1:11:47]" That's true. Do you think. Just in light of before we start a look at some of the of the game from a league. What do you think of cam Cameron's status now that Bill Parcells. Is coming as head coach and your knowledge of coach Parcells you think he might be willing to make a change or might he also be willing to. -- coach Cameron hasn't worked within for a spell."
[1:12:06]" I I think it's -- it's hard to call because. In terms of this capacity them that this is not by any knowledge of any conversation in this capacity where is Bill Parcells has always been made it except for the -- here. Where he would step down him remains in charge of football operations and al groh with the coach. It's eighty Dortmund coach. So what did daddy really just kinda Communist and won an organization. So it is there's there's really no history to go in the fact that he's just going to automatically cleaning out. It boring and all his own guide that would obviously. You know just judging by what you any kind of conversation Hewitt that you might like what he -- from cam Cameron imperial give him -- is our opportunity to keep his job like any other person would be and so once so it's not really -- track record of well Bill Parcells comes to a team and then all of a sudden say is. I'm cleaning out and these are all my god he's been a head coach more often than he's been the Vice President of football operations shot."
[1:13:12]" is true that is true all right let's senate decide that from home because I I think most fans realize that. It would truly be an an upset of vote tremendous proportions. It -- were able to come over the -- but then again -- the last team to beat the patriots so patriots have a chance to tie their own record with eighteen regular season wins. If consecutively if they can beat the dolphins this Sunday they have that obviously have a chance to go fifteen you know for the first time to start -- season first time that I would ever have occurred in NFL history. I mean I realize this -- to complete but it's based on what happens the week when you keep pointing the records start kind of stacking up. We're also waiting to see was not Tom Brady can actually challenge -- Manning's record -- got a shot at that the patriots single season passing yards record that would Bledsoe set a few years ago when he threw for the it was 4555 it was the number such things and teach. That I think the patriots can at least come close to approaching this week I don't know that's incentive or not but certainly is good conversation fought around here."
[1:14:15]" Well I mean. 33 point away from tying the vikings record 1998 right he touched something away from time media for dolphins for most out of the season. Andre still has three touchdowns to -- Jerry rice community seventies and of receiving touchdowns. You already mentioned so obviously Derek things on the books here this. The streets -- let's go get these and so on but it just in the natural. Best of playing again they're -- a lot to do these things they need to -- retouched of the last two games to tie the record so. You know from what I've seen last week because the conditions not exactly that Pete would be offensive juggernaut -- Foxboro. But I thought it was absolutely amazing and I hit an -- and it really mean it. When a team had a punt blocked for a touchdown and -- And then plays later they're able to do that to the other team how often do you see that happen. It was like a response that because the blocked punt protection -- always such a demoralizing score the other team. And yet the patriots they're on even go to Washington to block it for a touchdown. He didn't block it. It's set up they touched. So those absolutely. Brilliant and they just only way to do -- last week Laurence Maroney over -- yards they just keep on finding ways to win games. Even when their did when things are not going well for the law that. An agent had to play very very hard last week they just couldn't muster any but they're decent scores a touchdown the patriots they held the jets offense. -- the end zone we only got one on the blocked punt return. Did you finally went and if you're going to go undefeated you're gonna have to have gains were you find a way to win you're not going to blow everybody out every week."
[1:16:10]" This is true. It we'll learn that from the 72 dolphins it."
[1:16:14]" I don't -- I don't know biter to get rejected -- Dubai against Minnesota just remembered. You need this these and at this time. In the NFL with a sixteen game schedule this to have sixteen more points than your opponent to go on --"
[1:16:32]" Oh would I won. That's animal talent level by one although they're gonna set a record with a two terms of what you want and and it's funny because it's not detained as a record. I believe it's 42 Pierre -- 292. Right which by the way at 42 bears team that got beat. NFL championship game against the Redskins actually you know 73 -- a doubt I doubt that these 1460. The best single to short right. In 1940 beat the Redskins 73 -- levity to look at by the way. -- it's confusing forty with 42 car and at -- there with a bigger and gave to the Redskins but but. What's that line -- out for the 4072 and after a lot of things that -- thought that the people will there -- Discuss statistics about the pick."
[1:17:21]" Yeah exactly right armed -- you actually have a game tonight in the NFL we got Pittsburgh at saint Louis Saturday game is Dallas at Carolina. I don't know why the one of those teams and one of those games really mean much in the Pittsburgh needs to wind it -- they can't keep abreast of Cleveland I don't know that --"
[1:17:38]" I don't know if they do it either that the Pittsburgh team it's kind of lost its identity and we I think we mentioned this many times it would certainly mention that that we typically New England this is not he Pittsburgh team playing power football I was very evident last week -- a lot to Jacksonville note that I have their hands full to -- a little banged up appointment short week ever played well on the road and don't be surprised at all this is probably blasphemous Freddy. Your fans all over the country that the team did a lot of people follow they'll be totally surprised the Pittsburgh Steelers completely tumble out of the playoffs this year. Really eight I don't really get -- three a couple of weeks ago and they finish on the road the last two weeks the funny thing is big win tonight they're not in. But it Cleveland went on Sunday beat Cincinnati there that we had added Steelers at the door -- it's the guard considered districts swept them but. You know that that it. It just worked out that we with a way to conference schedule is one though."
[1:18:42]" Should the cowboy fans have any -- be concerned that Carolina on Saturday."
[1:18:46]" Okay well I'm not going to go to -- cheap pet that everybody else has this week with people in the I guess Spock and so on but. I won't say if you run the ball 31 times in combined into gains there should be concerned the routine it's. Kinda giants and looked a little flat since beating the Packers on -- Thursday night a couple of weeks ago or Tom scrub with a lot and -- besides this week I could understand the offensive imbalance because it was competitive game I understood the numbers. What -- Detroit because they were hot behind those for the time. But it did not understand it the other way around. India last week. Season low and I think rushing attempts might have been this season what would rushing yards and -- was this season high in terms of getting sacked for Tony Romo. Who threw the ball a lot more to Terrell Owens last week but there were drops he looked like -- forcing and it's time we threw three interceptions. Even -- I don't statistically depending I think on reading whatever it is worst -- you know Tony little went pretty big game on Monday night security to -- spectrum bat so. He just didn't do it this weekend against Philadelphia. Got a real good job against doubt the matchup with and so incredible appear to connect. But the big game here what it's doing would beat the patriots on Sunday night and he did going to -- to beat the cowboys so there's still some talent there especially in the the front side the ball."
[1:20:09]" Let's look at the suns again in the game I think it has to get -- the most interest around these parts. There have been Tyrone here would have to be the giants about the because the giants need to win department clinched a playoff spot if they don't beat buffalo. They must beat the patriots earned their way in."
[1:20:25]" Yes and they got their hands full obviously event like couple weeks and they've got the funny thing is they they have got. The Minnesota Vikings reading you know their backs and you know everywhere you looked a couple weeks go when they want to Minnesota -- they lost. At home to relax BT the vikings that was the second of five straight wins and the vikings Signet six or only new agreement head. The job to keep -- tied a -- or 25 or sixth seed. Because they would lose the tiebreaker that them but I think we're gonna get a lot of things solved anyway I'm sure we'll talk but this game Washington goes to Minnesota mid Americans are still alive as are the things but -- but the giants last week I put defensively was let -- up I don't you I'm going to got a lot of heat last week I don't know would be official record for dropped passes in the game but the giants were were pretty close last week. They could not hang on to the ball to save their lives it very very. Very distressing what's considering other giants to but with a giant to since losing at ballots and that Sunday night games the opening we conceded. Have won every other road game they've won six straight road games. Unfortunately that they've lost three straight at how it's a good news this week it's it they are playing at buffalo put -- a very very savvy -- team. That you know maybe you breaker to last week in the blizzard Cleveland could -- that one out -- they're not going to play out but they'll make it very tough on the died this week."
[1:21:54]" Let me ask you then which number you think is liable to be more accurate the fact that the giants -- six in one away from home which they will be this Sunday it's buffalo. Or the fact the buffaloes -- what six of the last seven times they play the giants."
[1:22:08]" Well there goes back to I consulting group. Revenge from the Super Bowl what's that don't I think it's it's weren't affected the giants I don't think -- thirteen that. Did in the second half collapses of really going back to even the year before Tom Koppel took over to be honest with you they remember -- Jim -- there were Ford Ford midseason roster last week. Quote I just going to -- he righty thing it's been. Franchise they and I think once again fit into this year they're only a 500 team the second happen this year I think that gets in your head. I mean he -- that week we find -- within. Players and all the different sports the psychological aspect of it when these people here and people you're going to falcons second half. I think sometimes it starts -- on your mind that they've bumped and it's definitely something to keep tonight."
[1:23:02]" Are let's -- as you mentioned to that's on the night game was Washington plays at Minnesota but that certainly has playoffs hanging in the balance from both sides. Indo Minnesota has been impressive the last couple weeks -- has been hanging in there to this may be best game of the weekend."
[1:23:17]" Yet they're so bad about it you you look -- to breakaway big play running back in include reported to have another good dynamite year really bounced back well. From last year's era entry cut short season. And of course major Peterson isn't kind of stifled the last couple weeks and political put 220 -- two to 96 on the board against a team you know there's no doubt about it he's cable breaking when -- any time -- generated at a very young quarterback who makes. The occasional play although last week he threw three interceptions couple world ugly. Against Todd Collins who last year media last week in his first start in -- Yeah right it and didn't put up all inspiring numbers it was very windy for both teams obviously the middle of last week. But going to win because they were able to run the football so not to be surprise of Washington goes in there -- that game is still young teen and you know. Which seemed to -- A question Mark you know these teams that we played last year in the first Monday night game when Minnesota beat him beyond in Washington. Soviet -- would happen here -- can -- take much better care of the ball and it's funny. This is not a Greek team that the Redskins why it is terms of forcing turnovers and getting a lot of pressure on the quarterback and so on so it'll be interesting to see it. What happened here I kind of -- toward. The kind of moving toward a little toward Minnesota about I'd be shocked at all because you know. And everybody -- it would be a helluva nice story directed somehow managed in the playoffs. Considering what they've gone through in the last month or so you know already had that nice -- by the lead in the the fans this week and so on which you know Sean Taylor get voted to the pro bowl with the -- an absolutely horrendous year in Washington for a lot of other different reasons and so on and they'll tell -- say this about the Redskins. You don't seem like a -- spent a lot of money does a lot of personnel changes and so one in July that lectured it seemed to be more stable of a lifetime needed really Dudek was. Two years ago -- thing. What did they beat the play of 2005 started out five and six -- their last five games to get it actually want to play our game by -- paper bag so we'll -- but it very intriguing Sunday night game which arm. I'm sure people didn't just like buffalo Cleveland last week -- what kind of a surprise."
[1:25:58]" The young Monday night ESPN game Denver at San Diego. San Diego continue to win hearing keep it rolling toward the playoffs."
[1:26:05]" Well they've had Denver's number less retired I think they've outscored of 12450. -- in beating him the last three times Ladainian Tomlinson -- cranking it up the last three weeks three straight hundred yard games running very well their defense has been solid last week. You know to pick off -- five times you know been sacked Kitna. These sacrifice dissecting that the takeaways. It'll be addicted it's that any it was an interesting team because it seems a good time to get up ahead -- that something happens there in the playoffs they can obviously he's still you can -- seed. RB I just curious to -- helped Philip Rivers placed on the stretched on because he's that is good and very bad moments this year. And sometimes he doesn't. -- get inspired. With a lot of confidence these seem like he took a little bit of a step backwards this year he seemed like yeah actually that's step backwards took. Police week in the second half of last year so they need him to play very well they're going to move on. India you know win a player -- want to play off game. In a long time you know -- in recent years but of course you know they they've lost in the first round that it gets a couple years ago. They lost in the divisional for the pats -- it just went up a -- I don't think they've won a playoff game -- defeated since 1994 when repeat -- in the AFC championship game so well."
[1:27:33]" That is significant hunt for -- that in some of united."
[1:27:37]" The playoffs three times and -- that they Peyton. Out quickly 95 when they went back the year afterward that impeded by the colts games so they've actually played three home playoff games since that's Super Bowl loss -- lost all three of."
[1:27:50]" It Russell I appreciate your spare time with a says so always on Thursday's and I do hope that you. In your family and everyone work with thirty years -- has a great holiday and I look forward to perhaps a previewing a little historical event that could occur. Could occur. In another week."
[1:28:08]" on court -- factor medical research coordinator for ESPN this team was here on Thursday as he does each week. Can run them out of the patriots matchup with the Miami Dolphins in this week particular would take a quick look at some of the key games around. The Euro league schedule for the -- this course being -- sixteen so I very quickly here we got some well locker room interviews that would like play for you before we get off the patriots had coached. Bill Belichick to wrap up the program today and earlier today we get a chance to look at some thoughts from. Patriots linebacker Junior Seau and a defensive lineman Richard Seymour on the patriots preparation for the Miami Dolphins tears. -- and Seymour in the locker room."
[1:28:53]" At the option don't in your mind. A better."
[1:28:58]" Oh definitely you know that there are a lot of close -- ethic and obviously didn't turn out. You know the way you want it. If it's there are fortunate that the record is what is that we better. I want network -- Our network we're we're thinking about to Miami Dolphins."
[1:29:27]" You thought and a -- starters. Brady is definitely living now. Yeah but. Yeah they're good things happen."
[1:29:40]" There's so much to play for you can easily and then you know energy so that it you know this journey -- we can ever imagine. You know we want to wavered in but you know that's ago you know -- those and Utica and economy and culturally there's no great -- that -- we have friends who who runs you know makes plays very fast which would you know. -- and you know and have a great -- Jason Taylor's a guy that you know I really respect and element friend and I have a lot of respect for what he's been doing their leading Nazis and then -- yeah."
[1:30:32]" Being able to. It would be able to."
[1:30:39]" Well he's a rare coach army you know oh man to be part of -- you know -- we have mutual respect. Luck prayers at a person hardworking person. And it was registry things at him in our basement Guerrero and -- hold on my bracelet. -- front so -- Fargo's."
[1:31:03]" That play -- looking yeah. I think that that all the players and teams you feel like illness and it seemed like he can you."
[1:31:13]" Depth and definitely opens -- you and the theater music program that team and definitely that's my time. That with a satellites that beat these guys there are playing them -- and it kills players. Fast might play use it for a R&B yeah. What that is that you know it it Monica and if he's come out and allowed to be part of it as that we should. Well that's great history. Especially with the team and their children and we mean back in. You know whenever you are there going through. That the world you know you know she is that. -- like you know over your head over and you're back. You know that's great tradition -- culture that those. Yeah yeah -- a lot of that and that's what's special about that lot of veterans make it back you know these guys. -- let you know yet again -- That there -- that. And you know we we're we're not even close to what they've in the neighborhood do I don't know it's something that we needed view and now we're gonna go out there and hopefully proposed. But as far as that goes I mean it's just monument. It's oh yeah. What you need to be mean and that's that's the -- things you know especially when you're you're the only team as I've been -- special and has -- your only team that has ever done in you whenever you put a word as ever I mean that's it. There's no question about it but so that's special so -- the history of the game stands on its own but that record that's so -- in my have to. Richard Seymour."
[1:33:49]" an -- You know the last last month with horrible but without the football and usually. You know move him to know them from world but there really indicate whether. I think we've been women we also you know before and what do so despite. You know a wonderful quote is from anybody who's not going to focus on -- room where you know -- who can do you know. Well aware of just I mean a lot of it is used meant for veterans -- attack on his. Major issues where we can get better. Defensively so let's hope it's a lot of issues. You know we can be more aware wrote books situationally and occupant of that these. Well there. Record is put their rickety that. You know outs would have been a lot of close games and you know some guys that they that he could have -- warned -- and they always we have so you know so I think that's sort of the concerns this week is. You know they always split vote for him I think we're always negative once this year. You know. So we understand that on the understand you know they're monsoons and their mentality coming into this football and you know. Longer ago."
[1:35:30]" Sunday's yeah. I think."
[1:35:37]" I just go to you just markets and whose two makes employees all tickets you know anything so different forum. What makes it to a more coaches you know X-Men -- men and that within the framework that would be fixed it and you know obviously you can always try to work and you know make plays but I think we have to cut the defense where. You know we don't really care who -- you know the lama of the frame you know we just try to go on to a job and hopefully limit the team. Well -- I think -- wouldn't want that is what Mario but it you -- you know the year. You know especially do -- you know leagues you know failure so. [1:36:50]" Richard Seymour and just before that Junior Seau. Into the papers locker room from earlier today at Gillette stadium is the pats could set for the dolphins on Sunday the practice injury report has already been released -- comes up about 4 o'clock eastern time but it's up for today not participating in practice today. Kyle Brady and still I was injured foot Billy Yates also an injured foot they were on the injury report yesterday but. While also today Rodney Harrison and -- Thomas were added to the injury report but. They were they did not participate due to team decisions. In both players instances so -- what the details maybe but apparently they have permission to be away. Limited participation practiced -- Steve Neal and Benjamin Watson. Well I spoke -- try to recover from injuries for the patriots the dolphins have not yet updated their injury report yesterday not participating Channing Crowder. Who told who -- the year with a knee injury he had surgery in fact Joey porter was Jason Taylor was not a Keith Traylor. They were all out yesterday for the dolphins and goodness they missed all four of those guys defensively. For Sunday -- could change things in her it would -- One quick email here from Dagmar in Miami and says you know it's hard to tell what the outcome will be the Sunday. If it's wet -- the patriots running the ball again I think it will be -- chance for play action pass short passes daunting and maybe some action from Welker. Long pass to moss will be under question but there's any chance I'm sure they'll go for it. Kevin Faulk will be key players says don't expect any blowout playing it safe will be a smart decision. Patriots may not risk any player with -- necessary scoring drives. If the conditions the game get better well they give me the chance to the patriots unleash the legion in score over thirty points again he says something else I'd like to say. [1:39:27]" He'll probably as good. Good."
[1:39:31]" Taken -- yes. Were -- don't want things -- ponson is my third down packages and I think I mentioned a good enough -- more pressure on on third down these puzzling and you -- literate today. But I guess -- converting third downs -- they're both from protection standpoint throwing. Don't caption that ends up from. Quarterback's athletic you know as cynical -- scramble and get out of pocket so I think that. -- all sports and are -- on third down has always business. Very very important oh control a game they don't get off the field defensively and that they are there all of them -- Third L raiders in turn over always important -- important this week an important time here. Were pushing them again. You know at the -- challenged -- really spending much room knowing gets it it's all over. But many people are going to catch him that I -- So so -- that I."
[1:40:43]" They're definitely depends how I was roll them all right middle linebacker -- college on third down change. First and second down when you go my son events that really -- and other."
[1:40:58]" It also goes on and if I'm -- first. And -- second although he certainly stability on the passing game on first down it comes from first or pass rush first two to run in others aren't that many runs on third down when you get over. Three are under at the original league probably not time for him. But don't -- on early downs and that's pretty much 5050 or close to it and -- your plan -- it's much more balance and in reality the people that that. Offensively that they have in the middle field -- middle linebacker or covered tight ends fullbacks. Run backs are all of a threat than on third down when they have you know multiple receivers or even tight ends in front of third down back. Like poker or you know ago but Leon Washington last week players like. That are there a lot harder for linebacker did abandon -- on the guys sure. Begin fullback types -- first down run that -- or more tight -- among our walkers blog times on third down those those type of players on the field you know what yardage is longer a sort of match of -- or the other it's -- different ball game."
[1:42:13]" Weird when you don't there you know."
[1:42:18]" What nick junior has a good combination of Gil. Makes a little hard for the offense to match up with him in -- matchup with them -- that the Mets have them. [1:45:04]" What is -- west."
[1:45:09]" Was that a big -- was was we couldn't handle it."

[1:45:47]" Perfectly good. Good that goes in this. We're I don't think short on today's Miami is third down packages then. [1:51:23]" Of course it was."
[1:51:29]" Was that a big scandal was was we couldn't handle him."
[1:51:33]" It seriously we're here we couldn't handle. Couldn't couldn't -- and good government -- a had a double Lawton. [1:52:09]" Bill there have been times and I guess Cameron it's not relinquish the play calling. That's why you -- when that happens in this case in particular you. What's -- you know all of a -- you -- stick with what Miami has been doing."
[1:52:25]" I don't think it on than there really. Don't married -- two together a little bit spirited the and the problems we've had period of on the things that they do well and in cases where those two mesh. They do something well we've had trouble with the enemy can pretty much bank on you know you're gonna get a deal that. All of -- good you know -- I think to me are ethical play calling things overrated. And arc to it and -- stood to keep an opponent off balance whichever side of the ball here on. But I think in the end a lot more important to execute the plays well and efficiently. [1:54:03]" Lack of execution and good execution -- Less than good play call I know that's for sure that part. Make play calls really weren't any good. -- the plays were executed at a high level. It looked okay. I graduated."
[1:54:32]" I play and I just high level that he is but also Lindsay please play online news. Then -- surprise given that he's graduated. And also an industry easy."
[1:54:48]" You know I think."
[1:54:51]" when you look at the these statistics and you know maybe in general I -- instead. That are either -- or the people out audit team just generically but earth. You know I think for people know this guys. This in their forties that I I don't really aren't that. I think anybody that's watched you -- play if you didn't know what his age was you wouldn't say you know he's an old player on the team. He doesn't look like that he doesn't act like it -- his energy level is. Better than most. You know he's got a lot of experience and his intelligence goes along with that it -- things go along with the physically in. Look a lot less than who doesn't look like an old man out there he's not so. Facilities it is a concern it well and he's and he said really very few injuries in his career. I mean over the course whisper to consider in the position he plays away places him out of contact that is involved and it. This past remarkable and it's. Rare this rare so. You know on one hand dizzy or maybe he is good. When you look at him and I -- them hard to find it is hard to find examples where he's just it's -- get out wrong. Doesn't know the importance and he shows the initials and and public. Like it's one play here you know wants -- player on its he's hitting him -- weekly -- we -- on the practice field."
[1:56:55]" so there's always that it's -- you remember being smart -- dollars and 72 -- and it's it's."
[1:57:04]" RB I figured to follow football. You know all that how big you know big fan of crucial. From when he was at Baltimore and from his as usual my dad called over to -- hospital and a -- in Ohio and -- holiday then fallen back to him you know when Doug coach feels that don't -- do as a reserve and all the you know all the links from back in there and that when coach Shula went to Miami. You know even though I still was sort of rooting for the colts kind of rooting for Paul Brown the Marshall those you know with a two coaches and London. In other team it was an awesome game"
