The hall as progresses and and when you went duck players obviously Ben Coates is going to be inducted this weekend. And of course the re induction if you will the other twelve like is that members including yourself. Which is part of it but. The other thing you can do with this particular -- in this program every week is look back at the history. Where you've been and where you mean -- going I think that's all technical talk about guys you know your former teammates guys that you -- played against -- wit and everything. What they're doing and what they're involved and and you know Patriots alumni and I worked very closely with -- with Peter Brock we do a college football games to -- most weekends and so he's always tell me about that the Patriots Wellemeyer into."

[2:53]" It's going to be -- it was going to be discussing. As you said your -- in my teammates that I keep in contact quit all the time. You know recently out at all. Quite few teammates show. Don Blackmon. Rules. -- Gibson. Ingram. Standard bearers. Man who's you know and then the whole college -- some -- old. It it'll be interesting because I wanna kind of have this one where everybody is that what it's going. And just you know out talking about past experiences. Play in this great game has been very fortunate to all of us and it's so it's a lot of fun I'm looking forward to all of this and a -- a lot of one bullet. This weekend. The news is going to -- of these Domingo who -- going to have the view that you ribbon cutting. Believe. There's the hall at Patriot place and and it's going to be myself. Then. Watching all the championship -- and young players come in and develop you know looking at Brady who. Wasn't drafted very I'd put look at what he's done pull himself -- today he's displayed as a football players. In watching you know young Tedy Bruschi get drafted. Arizona here and he's become. You know captain leaders of the heart and soul of these -- these events and and in watching them bring a guy like Mike Vrabel and from a team that basically. He was a back up guy because he had. You know. It did it to the credit to Pittsburgh. Great linebackers he was. And look what he's done us -- arteries. There's. -- and he's been prominent. On offense as well in right bowl in oh. I'm. It's it's it's been unique but a lot of fun. And I'm. I tell people all the time I'm honored to it is will be part of all lose because it really is. A unique experience. Everything that you know from from. The football team since the stadium the new Patriot place in the hall -- to the he always things you -- we've all been part of been involved and it's been."

[10:38]" Whole ride so far we've seen in years and it would be even bigger and better. You having just gone through an induction ceremony out and can't for the pro football Hall of Fame not quite that is the Patriots Hall of Fame and to pick a big nonetheless because to -- and you know many people from our organization were out there and -- the way they do it and Kenton. And we tried to. Not mimic what they do their but certainly take a little bit yes this got written figure out what we should do how we should do it definitely how we do with the game. -- what was your -- out there in terms of not to get into just personally yet but rather the operation why I thought one."

[13:24]" And here's where our fans in the regional in -- of weary of being it is just being here support. The ten returning players. Camera positions that are going to be here. This is where -- fans computer and and and and immediately would be doing it because in camp and their fans. From. The little boy next door to the grandmother who's who grew up and can't sign every guy's going to the Hall of Fame. To be there and support and basically. To give the nod and just say welcome home because everywhere I want it. From going to lose local stores opening wraps up in the rain -- Being stopped by one autograph they all to a man all it to -- its -- well. And I didn't so I get deals without actually so we can get -- fans. To be here and to just acknowledge the players you know the guys ago we stand locally going to see some of these guys returning and his his a kicker to businesses. Special group of guys this is some of the greatest of the graders who replete with the Patriots. And you know the people that voted them and including myself was on that panel. We don't take that duty. Lightly that's something that you know. We want to make sure that the right guys that -- and so. We can really make it special from a fan's standpoint. Makin' it really Spezza -- these guys make and who."

[15:03]" And I joked obviously at the top and you just were inducted into the pro football and John Hannah. Mike Haynes nick Buoniconti who all be back this weekend are pro football hall of Famer. But being realistic. Most of these guys this is the highest honor bill or even as a part. Many of them will never be in the pro football Hall of Fame in Kent Ohio. And and I can tell you -- mean Rosa -- Jim Lee hunt Brunell right. They have a you know fifteen people coming out here this is a big deal to them even know her husband has on many years ago. You know I know it. -- Morgan. His I think his wife didn't tell him that the like seven people coming and helping out listening as he doesn't know I mean this is a very big deal that these players. And this is as you there return home or be really nice the fans came out the way the Redskins fans came in fourth out -- can't this year."

[16:05]" Absolutely absolutely put it it'll be good I'm sure our fans and atop the net debates for a Saturday when the on new Dachshund on the Hall of Fame and I'm sure they will but I just as a reminder. It's you know. You know -- you really is important coma now guys in so be -- group and a -- that should be -- and -- all things should be in pro football game. And you know. If he carries this game week. Everybody and and we really are. -- there is potential blow you guys really there's going to be those who weakened but these guys coming back nine and on. So -- stop this line of these guys and a they threw you will schools that's when they leave here on."

[16:59]" And I think one of the things that point out on me that unlike in Canton where all of a hall of famers stand up and and give the."

Some stories that you guys -- when you recorded 41 of the exhibits in the hall with our -- about exhibit -- once and hatred exhibit which is highly entertaining and you're there."

[17:50]" And and that those type stories that fans don't typically get to hear -- that'll be if."

[17:56]" Well that is it's going to be different -- on you'd you'd be dug in and I think having. 23 guys commitment time's going to be spent speakers in. I'm always scratch my head when people. Do your best memory bank about it. He's -- around and you listen the guys talking about their experiences. And everybody. Is different I mean. You know like brand. You know. The snowplow. I was rookie. And it goes our schools guys. But I would let it not cost hanging from the ceiling and I imagine I don't and so you know you've been here that know that is why. How did he really. Mean Nolan thought it was against a rule it was a rule at the time and then you know -- at the time being on the rules and rules committee. They -- certain acute that rules out then you can do that but. You think about that thing I've been part of some very. Special moments in one being on on the very first team particulars. Of global. [20:04]" The one thing that there's a reason that organizations. Tend to have more than others. And other organizations tend to be struggling to get off the ground all the time. And whether that be leadership at the top whether it be personnel evaluation. Whatever you wanna a sign that too. You know this organization won't always be contending for -- balls and."

[20:26]" I think that fans have forgotten what would like to go through that he's and I mean that's obviously the bottom of the barrel right."

[20:34]" But still it's it's the fact that it's out there are guys that are still in the area that no witnesses. And amateur and won a lot of us cherish what. The teams are doing now what they have been -- Seven years and years been phenomenal so. You know it. So we knew. Back when it. I -- so. On a lot of us we really truly cherish. What we have now and we understand that -- importance. A very good football team like. Also. Going in and direction. Now all week and we can look at all the teams and its history and tradition when he. And we don't have -- feel like the third. Rated -- steps now. We got three world championship. Used to -- championship but now you know. We can compare our history. Emphasis. Doubts count Pittsburgh Steelers. All of the teams. Once the world at Green Bay Packers. In the Chicago Bears. We now have. History is not complete in ways that you know we've we've we've done some great things in the organization. And some great things in. How the craft them coming in his maiden threw themselves. Left. Everything intact. -- name for themselves ever yet and you and."

[22:12]" A part of the organization or retirement on you have a close bond with the crafts and that was obviously -- Robert. To present you with Hall of Fame bust out and can't. I don't know if you ever have -- come in with your former teammate who on quote unquote -- only part of the organization -- longer. Do you ever talk about. What might have been. Holding out because because now they're watching team went out on and we were a club. Well I I I wasn't fortunate enough to be -- John Hannah and and Grogan and those guys and he had the one team lost to. You lose a year of every every actually Raiders yeah yeah and -- you know listen to those guys and little. You know old footage in there or pretty good football and there were probably a little bit better than a pretty good football team. On him one point away. Of going on and truly probably. Winning a championship winning that world championship so you know we. You know it's it's things like that. Have been like a form minorities. Side full body years from the seventies. And eighties. Part part of the ninety's. And they finally you know we we got on -- we -- offers for a world championship put. It was always stories like that. You know we've we've -- you know -- can remember and he wore when we. -- and things were going you know little -- bonus and mars why rod rust -- defensive coordinator. The owner was and I remember all coming back so what will happen. All rod rust out partly came back really hard -- ride Russ Martin coach and then -- and it -- Yeah it is our business like I you know in the tallest of people people like. Not funny -- it's not funny that it happens it's it's weird weird it's like how why and but it. Then things like that. You know you an eagle on -- the year that we had the worst record in. Football. A lot of people realize that. But let me ask you. Being the head coach I I've heard people view is Carmel he was the worst head coach a -- people realize. We ask Ron -- To be head coach. To be good coach until things in order in -- if you won some games and built and you know maybe the oh. Like. -- of these remarks and you know we were up close and personal law you know we know what do you lose guys basically took one for the team who. As a defensive coordinator. Always lead and take one team and you know I've whatever it took us to play good did better. That's the way he was as a beef and corn."

[25:28]" I find instinct that you stated because I think that we in one win players go into the hall at Patriot place."

[25:36]" I think that we're going to get some comments from guys and get some different perspectives on things because."

You guys went in at the early lead I'm sure you felt that you had lost only 27 I think early in the season you felt going to begin that you could win that game. But they were pretty much juggernaut."

[26:31]" The Patriots -- we expect to fill the -- earlier in the."

[26:36]" For their only loss they've beaten Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh the defending champion Felix."

[26:41]" I mean they were right to go on and when -- I mean to those guys think that that law was work the ball."

[26:48]" If you ask those guys every man will use that -- hurt them sit and talk about the art. What I have been like death while -- at bat in my -- and keep my mouth closed and listen to them talk about it and every guy that. -- bear ray Hamilton. You know all those guys that would that. They're all truly believe 100. They won that game and -- game. -- to the Super Bowl they would they could nobody beat them at Fairbanks ranch Greek coach. The great he would put together creek and did you look at the talent on all the normal while. This was a painful and number one draft picks who wore. The best of the best at that time and you know you -- had a much like that we you know. But it is schools soda one -- one name one thing that can hurt that. And while I don't -- guys that he. [29:35]" Yeah you do you hear a lot of guys I mean I got Almonte all of my in my in my in my old teammates want to talk to him we all get together and you know oh. -- arm to jog your memory and you know it'll. You'll think back. To him. Handle well -- those do you remember. When this happened them. In it so funny bit down. As a player. And I were all different. And we awful news and focus. And we we we prepare for game. Or different and there have been a lot of times where I. Haven't -- I don't remember a lot of things because -- lose either. Wants them in the game complain. Then after the game I'm -- events. Even drinking. Element plugs him did not let -- get really get back into the game oh. A lot of times. I just -- just because from my whole focus has always been threw him out there is. An. Active. If it's always thought -- funny. Recalled. These guys. Two is pretty different these -- my memory means it is. And think about."

I'm having to bill -- talk about winning championships mean there's no greater sports moment."

[31:54]" I mean. Come down and be able to hear you guy. Tell these stories. Is going to be an incredible experience and one."

[32:04]" I hope that the guys really open up I mean how difficult is it for for -- up in that -- aiming for a couple thousand people and just start sharing or."

[32:14]" This time and all of our lives that though we've all kind of maturity and gotten a little bit older a little bit wiser. And we cherish. The time that we've had the -- great game and I think that. A lot of osu all come to the conclusion that you know sort of and maybe share a -- Steelers. When the opportunity presents itself I mean there's still some stories that you probably can't tell because of these gathering now but. For you know for the public consumption of things I think it down. You know there's going to be some -- great stories -- talking about a lot of different area errors of Patriots football you're talking about the sixties you talk about part of seven pars he's. Pars ninety's. He's -- he's got a got a little bit of everything so you know -- you know guys who can relate you know what it was like to play. Wow. Holland. Fairbanks. The umpires. And it and Raymond berry. Rob Rose. Is. Coach Rick -- Parcells one you from the so. You know it. -- I'm sure -- that Mike is in the guys in front of his days. It's going to be some. And grace always yeah pickle ball because -- might -- music yeah. God knows Monica anything and he noted that you is going to be some great stories being told by those -- yeah."

[33:53]" Long really glad that on -- coming back on and as a guy that part of the purpose he's in Miami hoo pop the cork every year. And one when the last few loses which spent the Super Bowl last season unfortunately for us but he's a Patriots hall of Famer. And he actually wanted. If we picked the Miami game on purpose of Graham back to honor on the weekend and we are playing the Dolphins here but. You know it it's it's great that so many guys have have elected to come back in May be for all we know the only time. Because we have. Been spoiled little bit here and in Patriot nation which is okay it's not a bad thing nobody's complained about it but notes it's. Always nice no. Where you came. [35:36]" You know how things were right there and I'm sure a lot of over. From me my wife her family her father. You know are you talked about by in his first season tickets written pitches and he brought her in the girls to the game so. I'm sure he's going to be excited and in in in rejuvenated when it's on the list of names of people that are coming back in. You know I've heard them at different times talk about guys like Bob the and in the you know for a in all those guys and in and and obviously geno. And now. You know parents and problems all -- and he's experienced that's so. You know he's excited about it I'm sure. You know the other knew him as -- in the other thing I -- of people with Simon's."

[36:31]" The one nice thing. Look as nice thing but it to me it's always been a good thing that there's no other please. Play professional sports the New England I mean you can go other places put you know. -- New England Patriots fans. Will tell you about as a player you know they'll let you know. You know if you need to step it up. And you know I've always told guys that look -- you. He can't make excuses in this crowd of people fans out the you if you're not given a hundred at the Cardinals -- you know about it. In if you -- well. You know let you know about it and it will let you know about the risk you life if -- go -- the football player basketball where hockey player soccer player. Baseball player. They will support you like you -- have been supportive when real life. It's unbelievable Phil and I mean here I am -- game almost a few years. And granite you know all the news that was happening with -- Hughes and -- go but up even up to that that time. Just when I walk into a restaurant or two more we bureau my -- my kids at a game at their games. I still had people karma to me in you know -- just want to thank you. All the good things you did as a player and all the good use that you gave him -- football -- and people are. 100% and you about it now just because of the parents always made me stand up and take notice and appreciate the fans of in what they've given.
