[0:05]" This is -- side of the hall of offside trap right away. And inside the home. -- look inside the past but the past looking for. Francis of it and I can definitely. And future of them doing -- Patriots way and it hurt. -- like now inside the hall would Bryan Morry and NFL hall of Famer Andre Tippett. This is what we call taken one for the team. You know -- and sometimes. You have to pick up the slack a guy like Tom Brady goes down. And then all of a sudden you know other guys have to kind of pick up the like well -- Bryan Morry."
[1:01]" We don't know yet so I'm very pleased then John Brooks still here with the for at least a little while very pleased. To be with Patriots hall of Famer and NFL Hall of -- Andre Tippett as we have in the hole for this week I know. Under that it's a busy week for Brian anyways I guess we cut him a little slack since we have this little thing known his it's. Hall of Fame induction thing on on Saturday and."
[1:27]" We go to Google com animals -- view but not much he's running around like gave. I can't even used the words because I want would be. I want to do -- politically. I'm not go there. Aren't -- little hard you've been working so hard. Yeah it's going to be an exciting weekend yes. I'm excited. Toward the."
[1:51]" Through radio inside the halls segment it there's going to be awesome. Ordered new. For me I'd been a lot of radio shows what kind of you get a chance to host the show. -- on this cold but what I think is interesting and I think this is of kind of a neat progression here is that you guys get a chance in not only talk about. The hall as progresses and and when you went duck players obviously Ben Coates is going to be inducted this weekend. And of course the re induction if you will the other twelve like is that members including yourself. Which is part of it but. The other thing you can do with this particular -- in this program every week is look back at the history. Where you've been and where you mean -- going I think that's all technical talk about guys you know your former teammates guys that you -- played against -- wit and everything. What they're doing and what they're involved and and you know Patriots alumni and I worked very closely with -- with Peter Brock we do a college football games to -- most weekends and so he's always tell me about that the Patriots Wellemeyer into."
[2:53]" It's going to be -- it was going to be discussing. As you said your -- in my teammates that I keep in contact quit all the time. You know recently out at all. Quite few teammates show. Don Blackmon. Rules. -- Gibson. Ingram. Standard bearers. Man who's you know and then the whole college -- some -- old. It it'll be interesting because I wanna kind of have this one where everybody is that what it's going. And just you know out talking about past experiences. Play in this great game has been very fortunate to all of us and it's so it's a lot of fun I'm looking forward to all of this and a -- a lot of one bullet. This weekend. The news is going to -- of these Domingo who -- going to have the view that you ribbon cutting. Believe. There's the hall at Patriot place and and it's going to be myself. Then. John Hannah and the -- and dug deep and coats and that's going to be a lot of fun. I've been out of the hall of Famer like if it was really -- I tell you what it's a very very interesting place -- a lot of history. There're. Bill lot of little things. You probably if you don't hit -- the first time you policy is the second third time -- at all. And you'll -- a lot of things that you thought it matters but the real little. Unique pitchers photos photographs of passed Patriots in and in -- and connections. Him. Earlier Patriot to some way to Patriot guys please excuse these guys have played eighties there's some connections there and and -- UT's -- a lot of the apparatus and equipment and different things. Really the game. Gonna gonna gonna enjoyed I mean I've been to pro football Hall of Fame and -- you know looked around and and in -- deep -- and -- look at what we've done. And -- much emulated a lot of a lot of."
[5:12]" I was going to ask you know I'm sure that -- a lot of other in in during your three Church in order to develop this particular project I'm sure there -- a lot of things that you kind of modeled after. And I wouldn't want to that you borrowed from were stolen from I'm sure there's an idea that -- generate new ideas here at how much did the pro football hall a note of course you've had a great chance -- it up close and personal for yourself and helped put -- Boston there. How much does that play in terms of what Vrabel offered the fans and ten. Played into the creation of the picture well I think now everything that people going to see him in the hall Peyton Place is is."
[5:47]" Reminder of the Patriots history the the first contracts that where it was sold in and and and signed him in -- A lot of stuff that was as good that the famous tractor in the in the slowed the snow -- is the track during the era I believe it and track. You know there there have been a lot of those little things you know pitches. The first meeting that the original owner. So and and his group photo men that word I guess basically talking about. Putting the you the AFL together an identical time and believe it -- score so. You know -- dump like baton in and it it's really cool then you know you can't help but. Look forward to seeing this. Lives. Three Super Bowl championship going to be -- the Super Bowl trophies the some some doing some of AFC championship rings. Some pitches and photographs recordings in. And it it really is I -- that we kind of look what the -- and we. Added up all the little New England Patriot -- that where we were so good. Doing -- and you know obviously with Johnson and -- Jonathan with him. Not sure how many people really. -- realized that has been the mastermind. Behind the information highway. The all the technology that was going to ski area in in his. The thought process on how we can. You know bring all that stuff and into the organization. When -- first bought the team look at where we are now from where we could be. And a lot of it you know I know he has he's had a lot of say obviously you know you're from the owners are. And then you know obviously Robert. Kraft and his brilliance and his. Ability to basically take chances to protest when you think about line team in 1994 norm. Like and ours via -- I'm very happy and you know while what you want to do this in. You know everything there's one thing the season ticket and other team. All golf is all pan out I mean every every chance everything that he's taken on his ball."
[8:25]" And I mean you know even look at myself. You know taken a hands aren't on bring and a guy that replaced but he. Interview organization him in law. But you know he went on his gut feel. And he obviously United bull. You know could look back on -- and -- but there were probably some detractors there or openers at times but. I think it is it's worked out well I mean. I'm honored to be part of two -- of the last 28 years. I've been on a great ride with this organization. Since. Some come. -- his. Line of the team and and and and everything has been so cold and I. Watching all the championship -- and young players come in and develop you know looking at Brady who. Wasn't drafted very I'd put look at what he's done pull himself -- today he's displayed as a football players. In watching you know young Tedy Bruschi get drafted. Arizona here and he's become. You know captain leaders of the heart and soul of these -- these events and and in watching them bring a guy like Mike Vrabel and from a team that basically. He was a back up guy because he had. You know. It did it to the credit to Pittsburgh. Great linebackers he was. And look what he's done us -- arteries. There's. -- and he's been prominent. On offense as well in right bowl in oh. I'm. It's it's it's been unique but a lot of fun. And I'm. I tell people all the time I'm honored to it is will be part of all lose because it really is. A unique experience. Everything that you know from from. The football team since the stadium the new Patriot place in the hall -- to the he always things you -- we've all been part of been involved and it's been."
[10:38]" Whole ride so far we've seen in years and it would be even bigger and better. Absolutely and and began to -- right here and I'll probably have less -- than he has right now and Emery he's just got out of -- Texan don't use the ball -- traffic behind has made his way -- by -- you know he's got -- humongous. -- big week here this week and let me also -- real -- before -- turn it back -- it is to -- here -- but. This -- proceeding on Saturday is open to the public free of charge. 3 PM is the time ran out here though all of it replaced although the inside part won't be open and available until next Monday. But we're doing the induction ceremonies out by the hall Saturday we want the fans especially those in the area to turn out because it's going to be a great -- to be a Patriot. Move long all the --"
[11:26]" I wanna come out of -- guys are on at a British -- on. McNamara then know that Tom Brady's -- a very nicely. Quarterback where -- hit me on the Tom Brady American in the hall it has all the player progression and -- 34 act on check. And tight as -- fourteen a win Taylor well what does that mean it was and you can you do these kids becoming complacent and I don't and knows deep in linemen looking at a -- and considerate Jerusalem quarterback at all they're not Izturis -- I grew out of ways. Might be a lot of them please guys hear it in me stark column. And that's going to be well plus they gave it to the hall so they know people who going to be looking at. It and not paranoid and no never not -- to -- and I don't. Yeah. I'll I'll turn it over to you guys thank you very much casual on -- only down four countries that yes or."
[12:23]" So I know I think it's going to beat it it's going to be awesome this weekend and one of the things I wanted to talk to you about. You know we're trying to -- this weekend this is the first time we've ever done something like this and John -- actually will be one of the and he's on Saturday afternoon. When we. In not officially. Well and -- Banco officially and re -- the other twelve members of the hall including -- And obviously. You having just gone through an induction ceremony out and can't for the pro football Hall of Fame not quite that is the Patriots Hall of Fame and to pick a big nonetheless because to -- and you know many people from our organization were out there and -- the way they do it and Kenton. And we tried to. Not mimic what they do their but certainly take a little bit yes this got written figure out what we should do how we should do it definitely how we do with the game. -- what was your -- out there in terms of not to get into just personally yet but rather the operation why I thought one."
[13:24]" And here's where our fans in the regional in -- of weary of being it is just being here support. The ten returning players. Camera positions that are going to be here. This is where -- fans computer and and and and immediately would be doing it because in camp and their fans. From. The little boy next door to the grandmother who's who grew up and can't sign every guy's going to the Hall of Fame. To be there and support and basically. To give the nod and just say welcome home because everywhere I want it. From going to lose local stores opening wraps up in the rain -- Being stopped by one autograph they all to a man all it to -- its -- well. And I didn't so I get deals without actually so we can get -- fans. To be here and to just acknowledge the players you know the guys ago we stand locally going to see some of these guys returning and his his a kicker to businesses. Special group of guys this is some of the greatest of the graders who replete with the Patriots. And you know the people that voted them and including myself was on that panel. We don't take that duty. Lightly that's something that you know. We want to make sure that the right guys that -- and so. We can really make it special from a fan's standpoint. Makin' it really Spezza -- these guys make and who."
[15:03]" And I joked obviously at the top and you just were inducted into the pro football and John Hannah. Mike Haynes nick Buoniconti who all be back this weekend are pro football hall of Famer. But being realistic. Most of these guys this is the highest honor bill or even as a part. Many of them will never be in the pro football Hall of Fame in Kent Ohio. And and I can tell you -- mean Rosa -- Jim Lee hunt Brunell right. They have a you know fifteen people coming out here this is a big deal to them even know her husband has on many years ago. You know I know it. -- Morgan. His I think his wife didn't tell him that the like seven people coming and helping out listening as he doesn't know I mean this is a very big deal that these players. And this is as you there return home or be really nice the fans came out the way the Redskins fans came in fourth out -- can't this year."
[16:05]" Absolutely absolutely put it it'll be good I'm sure our fans and atop the net debates for a Saturday when the on new Dachshund on the Hall of Fame and I'm sure they will but I just as a reminder. It's you know. You know -- you really is important coma now guys in so be -- group and a -- that should be -- and -- all things should be in pro football game. And you know. If he carries this game week. Everybody and and we really are. -- there is potential blow you guys really there's going to be those who weakened but these guys coming back nine and on. So -- stop this line of these guys and a they threw you will schools that's when they leave here on."
[16:59]" And I think one of the things that point out on me that unlike in Canton where all of a hall of famers stand up and and give the."
[17:08]" At the podium at the microphone."
[17:11]" This will be -- up more in a way where Gil Santos and John rookie and he for the event. Will take groups of three hall of famers at a time it in the rules on the day."
[17:23]" And kind of encouraged guys share stories of the Q and it'll be less formal."
[17:28]" More anecdotal type thing with. The beaches are great watching your beating kitten was a thrill. But yet this is -- that you don't get to hear maybe off the field up. Some stories that you guys -- when you recorded 41 of the exhibits in the hall with our -- about exhibit -- once and hatred exhibit which is highly entertaining and you're there."
[17:50]" And and that those type stories that fans don't typically get to hear -- that'll be if."
[17:56]" Well that is it's going to be different -- on you'd you'd be dug in and I think having. 23 guys commitment time's going to be spent speakers in. I'm always scratch my head when people. Do your best memory bank about it. He's -- around and you listen the guys talking about their experiences. And everybody. Is different I mean. You know like brand. You know. The snowplow. I was rookie. And it goes our schools guys. But I would let it not cost hanging from the ceiling and I imagine I don't and so you know you've been here that know that is why. How did he really. Mean Nolan thought it was against a rule it was a rule at the time and then you know -- at the time being on the rules and rules committee. They -- certain acute that rules out then you can do that but. You think about that thing I've been part of some very. Special moments in one being on on the very first team particulars. Of global. Which was one of the highest highs familiar and that's all points here you know going. Was 115. Mad. That I was going to jump ball who built and which you know what it was a -- Oh mighty character it was a tennis. A lot of Lewis --"
[19:30]" Sure -- work ethic and and and and our characters just to make it through that season that was probably one of the hardest things had to do and that's a great point on it because I think that when we look now won't. You know Patriot fans are a little spoiled by the recent death or a lot -- as the case may be. And let's -- hopefully want to fifteen never comes again. But there will be Vick and tens in seven nines in the few army just."
[19:58]" It means part of evolution yet and you like to think whether it salary cap arrow or knocked."
[20:04]" The one thing that there's a reason that organizations. Tend to have more than others. And other organizations tend to be struggling to get off the ground all the time. And whether that be leadership at the top whether it be personnel evaluation. Whatever you wanna a sign that too. You know this organization won't always be contending for -- balls and."
[20:26]" I think that fans have forgotten what would like to go through that he's and I mean that's obviously the bottom of the barrel right."
[20:34]" But still it's it's the fact that it's out there are guys that are still in the area that no witnesses. And amateur and won a lot of us cherish what. The teams are doing now what they have been -- Seven years and years been phenomenal so. You know it. So we knew. Back when it. I -- so. On a lot of us we really truly cherish. What we have now and we understand that -- importance. A very good football team like. Also. Going in and direction. Now all week and we can look at all the teams and its history and tradition when he. And we don't have -- feel like the third. Rated -- steps now. We got three world championship. Used to -- championship but now you know. We can compare our history. Emphasis. Doubts count Pittsburgh Steelers. All of the teams. Once the world at Green Bay Packers. In the Chicago Bears. We now have. History is not complete in ways that you know we've we've we've done some great things in the organization. And some great things in. How the craft them coming in his maiden threw themselves. Left. Everything intact. -- name for themselves ever yet and you and."
[22:12]" A part of the organization or retirement on you have a close bond with the crafts and that was obviously -- Robert. To present you with Hall of Fame bust out and can't. I don't know if you ever have -- come in with your former teammate who on quote unquote -- only part of the organization -- longer. Do you ever talk about. What might have been. Holding out because because now they're watching team went out on and we were a club. Well I I I wasn't fortunate enough to be -- John Hannah and and Grogan and those guys and he had the one team lost to. You lose a year of every every actually Raiders yeah yeah and -- you know listen to those guys and little. You know old footage in there or pretty good football and there were probably a little bit better than a pretty good football team. On him one point away. Of going on and truly probably. Winning a championship winning that world championship so you know we. You know it's it's things like that. Have been like a form minorities. Side full body years from the seventies. And eighties. Part part of the ninety's. And they finally you know we we got on -- we -- offers for a world championship put. It was always stories like that. You know we've we've -- you know -- can remember and he wore when we. -- and things were going you know little -- bonus and mars why rod rust -- defensive coordinator. The owner was and I remember all coming back so what will happen. All rod rust out partly came back really hard -- ride Russ Martin coach and then -- and it -- Yeah it is our business like I you know in the tallest of people people like. I did happen yeah yeah it did happens like you know you about the fans that were. You know taken the goal pulled down rule one get executed. Not funny -- it's not funny that it happens it's it's weird weird it's like how why and but it. Then things like that. You know you an eagle on -- the year that we had the worst record in. Football. A lot of people realize that. But let me ask you. Being the head coach I I've heard people view is Carmel he was the worst head coach a -- people realize. We ask Ron -- To be head coach. To be good coach until things in order in -- if you won some games and built and you know maybe the oh. Like. -- of these remarks and you know we were up close and personal law you know we know what do you lose guys basically took one for the team who. As a defensive coordinator. Always lead and take one team and you know I've whatever it took us to play good did better. That's the way he was as a beef and corn."
[25:28]" I find instinct that you stated because I think that we in one win players go into the hall at Patriot place."
[25:36]" I think that we're going to get some comments from guys and get some different perspectives on things because."
[25:42]" As we're preparing thing is a great example no idea that that was the case no idea as -- that that's something that I'm looking forward to a well because. The one thing the crap want what the building is and always updating every changing facility that expression getting. Some great player pro active will allow us to do things like that and but you you know you mention that 76 game and I know you want to part of it but."
[26:06]" I wanted to go to those guys that probably hurt more then the Super -- and 85 because."
[26:12]" You know the Super Bowl is a lopsided games Chicago. Was virtually unstoppable that year and now -- mean. You guys went in at the early lead I'm sure you felt that you had lost only 27 I think early in the season you felt going to begin that you could win that game. But they were pretty much juggernaut."
[26:31]" The Patriots -- we expect to fill the -- earlier in the."
[26:36]" For their only loss they've beaten Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh the defending champion Felix."
[26:41]" I mean they were right to go on and when -- I mean to those guys think that that law was work the ball."
[26:48]" If you ask those guys every man will use that -- hurt them sit and talk about the art. What I have been like death while -- at bat in my -- and keep my mouth closed and listen to them talk about it and every guy that. -- bear ray Hamilton. You know all those guys that would that. They're all truly believe 100. They won that game and -- game. -- to the Super Bowl they would they could nobody beat them at Fairbanks ranch Greek coach. The great he would put together creek and did you look at the talent on all the normal while. This was a painful and number one draft picks who wore. The best of the best at that time and you know you -- had a much like that we you know. But it is schools soda one -- one name one thing that can hurt that. And while I don't -- guys that he. Not that they -- around waiting. When -- got a card in 2001. The tuck rule yeah. You know. Those guys a lot of those guys were a lot of guys and David you know I've heard all those you know couldn't happen to a better human head I understand academy not -- could -- because -- it -- them. V. Felt like almost taken away from. Big win. In the game should never come down to. Major calling either. Did he went in the game like if you let the players decide the outcome in the game now I've ever -- of the game happily wear. You know call major calling it. Basically I."
[28:44]" In 1948. Players to do so without a desperation heave and and and Ben's rice. Live in infamy here being -- You know when you look back at. The that the Super Bowl season now you talk about great memories -- and one of the things. That I think comes out and you you alert when they're around talent and he tell stories. I knew we handle the quote unquote you know great moments of that time whether it be with a -- moment like the snowplow like go to Miami. And winning the championship."
[29:19]" When you count the dollars and talking to reminisce about the -- He did did they bring up that you don't even remember -- obvious that was a great memory that's not that the fans. Would remember it but there's this all those little behind the scenes or you."
[29:35]" Yeah you do you hear a lot of guys I mean I got Almonte all of my in my in my in my old teammates want to talk to him we all get together and you know oh. -- arm to jog your memory and you know it'll. You'll think back. To him. Handle well -- those do you remember. When this happened them. In it so funny bit down. As a player. And I were all different. And we awful news and focus. And we we we prepare for game. Or different and there have been a lot of times where I. Haven't -- I don't remember a lot of things because -- lose either. Wants them in the game complain. Then after the game I'm -- events. Even drinking. Element plugs him did not let -- get really get back into the game oh. A lot of times. I just -- just because from my whole focus has always been threw him out there is. An. Active. If it's always thought -- funny. Recalled. These guys. Two is pretty different these -- my memory means it is. And think about."
[30:57]" You listen to in the hole with Andre Tippett -- pro football hall of Famer and Bryan Morry here on Patriots dot com radio. You know Andre I think when we look at this weekend coming up. You know for the players that can share some of those stories and -- do that with the public in a way that you know I didn't you mentioned. It and listening and to not an orderly and."
[31:22]" You know when you guys when I -- players like -- talk."
[31:26]" That's what I -- not -- talker I have to I have to be event listen. But I really try to focus on that like I sat with Tedy Bruschi Richard Seymour bill Russell and Bobby your wonder at Fenway Park. Before one of the first pitch ceremony them and listening to bill -- I mean it was just like holy cow now I -- play right and I was like. I'm having to bill -- talk about winning championships mean there's no greater sports moment."
[31:53]" Then that per day."
[31:54]" I mean. Come down and be able to hear you guy. Tell these stories. Is going to be an incredible experience and one."
[32:04]" I hope that the guys really open up I mean how difficult is it for for -- up in that -- aiming for a couple thousand people and just start sharing or."
[32:13]" Well I think it."
[32:14]" This time and all of our lives that though we've all kind of maturity and gotten a little bit older a little bit wiser. And we cherish. The time that we've had the -- great game and I think that. A lot of osu all come to the conclusion that you know sort of and maybe share a -- Steelers. When the opportunity presents itself I mean there's still some stories that you probably can't tell because of these gathering now but. For you know for the public consumption of things I think it down. You know there's going to be some -- great stories -- talking about a lot of different area errors of Patriots football you're talking about the sixties you talk about part of seven pars he's. Pars ninety's. He's -- he's got a got a little bit of everything so you know -- you know guys who can relate you know what it was like to play. Wow. Holland. Fairbanks. The umpires. And it and Raymond berry. Rob Rose. Is. Coach Rick -- Parcells one you from the so. You know it. -- I'm sure -- that Mike is in the guys in front of his days. It's going to be some. And grace always yeah pickle ball because -- might -- music yeah. God knows Monica anything and he noted that you is going to be some great stories being told by those -- yeah."
[33:53]" Long really glad that on -- coming back on and as a guy that part of the purpose he's in Miami hoo pop the cork every year. And one when the last few loses which spent the Super Bowl last season unfortunately for us but he's a Patriots hall of Famer. And he actually wanted. If we picked the Miami game on purpose of Graham back to honor on the weekend and we are playing the Dolphins here but. You know it it's it's great that so many guys have have elected to come back in May be for all we know the only time. That all the players actually come back and on a Conte who really is known as a Miami Dolphins or identifies. Himself as adults and coming back to share with -- with -- really his former teammate those stories. I'm out listen Steve Grogan I've had I've been on the radio with the with yourself with Peter -- guys from your era. But never heard stories from. They'd really and and and geno in -- cocky."
[34:55]" I think I mean I'd I wasn't around to watch those guys play Andre but I have to think that even young fans are going to be fascinated."
[35:02]" To coming here those doors."
[35:04]" Actually -- as your yard -- Peyton Manning. And there's a lot to be told there's there's still a lot of things out the you know. That rule going to make an opinion -- will be no no way. Because we have. Been spoiled little bit here and in Patriot nation which is okay it's not a bad thing nobody's complained about it but notes it's. Always nice no. Where you came. And -- and you know -- two to two million history in and and tune."
[35:36]" You know how things were right there and I'm sure a lot of over. From me my wife her family her father. You know are you talked about by in his first season tickets written pitches and he brought her in the girls to the game so. I'm sure he's going to be excited and in in in rejuvenated when it's on the list of names of people that are coming back in. You know I've heard them at different times talk about guys like Bob the and in the you know for a in all those guys and in and and obviously geno. And now. You know parents and problems all -- and he's experienced that's so. You know he's excited about it I'm sure. You know the other knew him as -- in the other thing I -- of people with Simon's."
[36:31]" The one nice thing. Look as nice thing but it to me it's always been a good thing that there's no other please. Play professional sports the New England I mean you can go other places put you know. -- New England Patriots fans. Will tell you about as a player you know they'll let you know. You know if you need to step it up. And you know I've always told guys that look -- you. He can't make excuses in this crowd of people fans out the you if you're not given a hundred at the Cardinals -- you know about it. In if you -- well. You know let you know about it and it will let you know about the risk you life if -- go -- the football player basketball where hockey player soccer player. Baseball player. They will support you like you -- have been supportive when real life. It's unbelievable Phil and I mean here I am -- game almost a few years. And granite you know all the news that was happening with -- Hughes and -- go but up even up to that that time. Just when I walk into a restaurant or two more we bureau my -- my kids at a game at their games. I still had people karma to me in you know -- just want to thank you. All the good things you did as a player and all the good use that you gave him -- football -- and people are. 100% and you about it now just because of the parents always made me stand up and take notice and appreciate the fans of in what they've given. From their support standpoint and have always been real opportunity to remind the young players news. So we're the greatest places have been can be tough. It can be tough you run out of town. You play hard. And do things you need to do you don't make it -- Make it you're just go play. You'll. Be low. Fuel. You will be part of his people predict. And you know in his -- in. Room one in my own teammates. Onetime. Had to be in my you. My -- in third. -- third vehemently. And I was Nextel. And the had been injured in Duluth fewer injuries and different things like that and I. Kind of been schooled a little bit on. Talk to him a year and you know don't maybe. Like sports speeches and don't give anything for you know people date that we put it affordable like what you know -- bill. -- ask -- is well you know you've been injured and then that from senior. I don't need to practice I'm I'm I'm game."
[39:27]" It wouldn't that I'm -- this is a veteran guy. It was a god -- came in the league -- me hulk and -- I just -- him. Now. We talk about racked it it was like as a comic to -- Next day. The pride in. Them. I and has had a known that he was going to going to direct I could probably kick the most mixed locker room going. So well how long was in the league -- New -- not long time now --"
[40:06]" I mean it was just you know you're it was a it was a it was a guy that great potential to be your great great football player and just you know whose engines interviews I believe had. The injuries had and Colorado -- you know he he Hollywood. Made a bigger contribution to the team into the organization is it never happened but. If -- is just statement like that so even you know twenty some light years ago. I knew you you just make statements like that before the Internet that's for the it and many believe they Q wrote him for a week."
[40:42]" Speaking of injuries the quarterback here Tom Brady is out for the season. Did not last one quarter of the season after not playing in a pre game so. Played less than fifteen minutes of football before he's -- and it. Back in 1989. You Garin -- rival pat. Last three -- game all go down for the season I'm sure you can relate. To what Tom Brady is feeling right now emotionally. If you what the team is feeling about back granted it's week one you can't you got to move on. I can't tell me what you what you felt and and maybe I guess if you could provide -- to perhaps what. What's going through Tom Brady's mind at this point. Well."
[41:28]" You know for me it was probably one hard it's hard times in my life because you lose. They're looking in my career it was like it. All pro team -- election."
[41:42]" Really. A veteran -- in my own. Column. And make things happen and was you know people of pain and Nina you didn't acknowledgment. And at all Sutton. Believe it not that one year. Away from the game. And it was like. Who is he's never never to be seen Miller -- to be talked about it and a lot of ways and I think a lot of it was because of the direction of the of the football team winning. You know we. Obviously 89. I get hurt. That he nine season -- gets -- and in the so you've all gotten home we went from kinda hovering around and -- we start. On down to know looming on -- yeah ownership issues. And -- Not taken although they count at that time I figured okay now four year you have -- and -- and you know get the name recognition and it was hard. It was hard to get to recognize. The fire and desire and work ethic to -- the opportunity. Months ago I was even greater because I want to play and people know that you know -- mean anything you know written. I mean. Losing. And am back out there and and book because a team loses its -- often the grid and in a lot of people's eyes put. It. I thought about leading -- Of being out for the year was. Obviously Thursday comes to mind. Michael who am I gonna recover from the we have been good enough to be all that was racing through my head like the first market soon. The last of his surgery and then started to read and everybody was on and its killing them real good you -- you know you start your rehab process. The -- you'll be back to normal I mean -- You're going to be limited which you do in the weight room so I went from being named bench press using only dumb bills because. At that point. But all of those things where. Weren't weigh heavy in my in my mind at that time was what -- you know while Corey is going to be. And it looks more left to do. But I. I think. Once you know he has the surgery. And they go in the trio with all and it wouldn't be done. Athletes in the going to be -- matter how shall be working read. And then big innings."
[44:41]" I don't know when it means and -- mean I was comment on hold up now on the -- out there please strong. My body my arms and hands which were major part would. -- made me. Pretty good at what I did from linebacker standpoint renews take on blocks and -- So. All that stuff came into."
[45:06]" It with me. I remember talking Ted Johnson wanted to years -- by muscle. And you know -- had an emotional guy very open about dealing not like a lot of players who are pretty tight about that stuff. At least publicly with the media anyway. And head. Talked about. Being out of sight out of mind. That was his quote. And how hard that wind is that as difficult for a player as. Those other things to talk about wondering whether you're going to be that what what's gonna happen will idea's good will ideas will likely that. Oddest sight out of mind part because the team. Does have to move on they can't say -- on -- out this sixteen games to play. Well -- polite good."
[45:59]" Gives you an opportunity to kinda. -- commitment. Whose team. Funny thing about."
[46:14]" I left. Foxboro. And we're back to yours I would a lot of guys do well I went back to enroll. I did you receive Iowa. Sixteen hours I went back. Periodically came back to detect about it doctors but I was rehabbing and strengthening and."
[46:34]" Cause I was able to do a lot of things once again backed him but I had to retrain them also again so. I I didn't you I -- away I -- I went back to uterus at Iowa. Bruised up got my degree. And I came back book -- blue. Mini camp. And you know but yeah it was it was to halt half of it that you --"
[46:59]" And today can can measure your commitment and I think in this area. The fans certainly look at that way -- like how come Tom Brady wasn't up a fourth pre using game you know how can we got out their supporting his guys."
[47:12]" A lot of times and correct me if I'm wrong because as maybe my impression in my perception."
[47:18]" I thought that the coaches would rather some of those guys that have long term injuries. Not be around much because."
[47:25]" Everybody knows how fragile each guy is -- that every and he could be it. -- they're not necessarily see those guys that have long term injuries around all the time you know maybe isn't such a bad thing."
[47:37]" Actually I was in I was -- I'm glad your mind I was going to bring it up. There. It depends on the philosophy. Of the Colts -- I mean I don't know would. Who told Tom and so I don't know -- to suggest you know bomb. I know. During the year 89. Perry one year round you want to Monica's new I was one I was on the leader on the team. So he he wanted me there in in that locker room on the on the flight and and and him being around him and pushed in a motivating guys so. That was one perspective and like he heard about the coaches that you know the guys heard. You know you don't. You -- promote from today minerals standpoint that might be mine it's. It's helped you out there and whatever and viewed. -- one. Yeah I'll go home -- victory and future film work and it would do and move more from -- so is it is. It opens on what coach who has."
[48:49]" And I think I I think guys -- to appear for the year you know whether he might come in or you know some of the guys over the years and it under Bill Belichick that that have gone -- To -- not completely I don't know if Tom Brady's around or not but I -- that he will be rehabbing here and what not and certainly coming in to visit. Doctor -- isn't and the team trainers and doing that you hear. But I do wonder if from a leadership or -- quote unquote another coach perspective if he'd be around and and -- it won't be on game day but just in the film -- with -- Who knows who knows -- and that's what we'd like to be a fly on the war and -- Well Andrei going to be a lot of fun this weekend. 3 o'clock ceremony Friday after a Saturday afternoon rather. In the plaza between the hall at Patriot place. And CBS team restaurant. Public three. Opened come on down the hall of famers I think the won the point part of it will be that the hall will not be open to the public that day. Because of all the alumni and the again coming in the halls reserved for them after the ceremony. We'll open the public on Monday the 22. I hope now I'm just -- it will open on the funny second. And it's it's going to be on him I'm so excited this weekend and I can't imagine. What the players are feeling and this every Tuesday is going to be a half hour radio because with and you tell stories and share anecdotes. And just talk about. You playing career being able to make comparisons between now and then is going to be special ops who who's look like one. I doubt do it for Andre Tippett I'm Bryan Morry -- in side the hall on Patriots dot com radio."
