Are the best part about this is of course the opening of the Patriots Hall of Fame for the first time you're in knowing that you're in the area. On Saturday afternoon this is Corey. And open to every. But you can't get into the hall until Monday right is that okay thank you very much that want to make sure that we have that the induction ceremony however you can come. Oh what we're looking for is if you were in the area if your Patriots fan view. I happen to be Boston Providence point in between all about knowing you want to come down four with a -- like history. When you come by 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. In the plaza right out in front of the of the stadium in the -- all of -- Thank you because Andre Tippett will be there as well. And you will be -- your welcome to attend the ceremonies is that being held you know I'd. And yes because no not everything is quite finished yet in that opening will be Monday. As of but just -- but still you are welcome to attend it is free and open the public on Saturday afternoon she go from about three till about 430 Saturday afternoon. -- as though we will induct Ben Coates and the Patriots Hall of Fame. And re inducted Buehrle of the twelve members of the Patriots payment all members. On those who are still with us of course will be there but representatives of -- a couple of the others he's players' families will be their. In attendance as well so it's pretty cool deal. On it's going to be my. Privilege and pleasure. Ought to be up on the of the day as with the voice of the Patriots -- and will be making all these induction and and it's going to be neat day to be a Patriot and be a Patriots fan so we hope that you take some time come out and join. And the reason that. Kind of like a little Russell hurry today is because in the studio is just down the hallway here the Kraft sports productions and we're recording all of the the field. And all the voice over all the -- pro players. Yeah absolutely including the one and only -- And there's only watched it go head -- and getting Brady could throw -- That's by the way one of his best lines. With probable -- fruit -- that's pretty tough. I expect new you're welcome -- your pick. Up his love the drop I mean there I don't are they most -- Ergo all that today and I've I've got Patriots asked in my brain pardon me for them but it just it just what I'm thank you and -- Though a lot anyway that's that's what I'm -- within a few putts and bought them a hall of Famer. You know on players inducted or who you'd think I'd be you know next. That aren't far off web radio pat Patriots dot com is email address as you know. -- email address is POW in progress web radio at Patriots dot com. -- the telephone number if you'd like to it was a call you can do Bible 85437482. Again it's -- wait 543748. Brian Lowe from Patriots today in -- and he lowdown. Will be joining us in the economic program as well Harvey Greene who is the -- his official title is what it. I believe it is director literally I was going to and other put seniors on the army green in the long time public relations guy for the Miami Dolphins. -- a friend the show he's been a friend to a lot of people in the media for a number of years. Whenever the Patriots play the Miami Dolphins he's always been kind enough to come on. It -- with -- about the yeah about the game and about the Dolphins particular article is going to join us at what time. You're thirty or ego like it thank you very much. So. There you go Harvey Greene from Miami Dolphins would join in approximately 25 minutes and then Brian Lowell -- in the 3 o'clock. Com. Normally. And I they normally there's really no normal too but. With the way we aren't here. Tuesday's in the past if your familiar at all with the show for the past several seasons again this is your eight that we have done Patriots play. As part of the radio programming -- Patriots dot com normally on Tuesdays we do something that I've that I've called last few years nitpick Tuesday. -- Sure it's been very very difficult to nit pick or pick it net what are you want to call it. But because of the six estimate after only 12021. Regular season games and road you don't. Really have too many complaints which is really why I think it kind of developed in the nit -- Tuesday because. Were all you know home. I -- alleged. Football -- who -- in not only fans but you know analyst and and and we eat because we pay close attention to our team. We see teams and we see players we see things because we just pay close attention to it that may be. The average person doesn't look. And when you look back on the final product any product fact is he won again. They won nineteen hits and they want on the road. They want in them that the first game AB after Brady so to speak. Matt Cassell did what he had to do. Played as well as you really needed to manage the game. Effectively if not in efficiently and probably both. And the team want and really all you can ask for. Arm debate or anybody doors well no and I realized that most people you know or used to have the team doing. That's not necessarily. A bad thing. But I think we'll realize an and I think this is one of the things that we have to realize this -- we had to take things in in in drips and -- here this is a work in progress. The team that is basically gone back to. I don't want to ground levels earlier but they've they've gone basically back to. Building themselves up again. -- with a new floor with a new field general. And they had they have to start somewhere in terms of trying to. Build chemistry amongst each other and so this is really what we all. On Sunday afternoon at the -- A different version albeit similar. But a different version of the New England Patriots. Emerge. One that certainly I would think. Could have it Tom. You know emphasis put on defense. Not necessarily poor offense or even like -- a year ago which is different but you've got a different person one in control. So in this -- in this thing in this quote unquote nitpick Tuesday mode. I have to look you know I usually most of the day on Monday night listen the most Patriots Monday programming. And I try to decide what our our act is going to be what are course of action going to be for Tuesday and maybe how we can start the week and what that theme should be and I kept thinking and I and I and I really sort of I really didn't have any preconceived notions I thought this team would win at that last week I expected this team to win -- week. How short the score would be I didn't think it would be huge. I didn't they would be huge. Margin of victory -- I called the court that Michael was 20 to thirteen I am pretty sure that I called want. I called to a week it was you guys are not on going to be in nineteen answer obviously your your pleasantly surprised with that. I was and -- frankly -- and it expected so I'm trying to think -- what what do what do we nitpick about what was -- that could be improved. Why is there. That signal to me. We need to work here. And honestly. -- can come up with much to the mean he when he was seen rolling team. Leading the crowd got a team we've always managed by nitpick on Tuesday. Interview was in the program and all the last couple years you know exactly and talk. We would go -- wild and we get into some heated discussion even. Over you know what was -- seems like what wasn't. I have a hard time getting. I'm -- real hard time with -- and maybe because my expectations overall were left in the number one. Not entirely let down altogether. And -- because of Brady's cap. MI wrong to think. What did you -- some help okay here's what I need help so. Today's email question of the day for Patriots -- asked to do with what you all on the football field and so for those that did get a chance to. -- if you did not get -- the game listen to the game what have you what I would ask you to do this particular. -- is. Other than you know Matt Cassel continued improvement perhaps that will realize that something that will have to happen for the team of ultimate X this year but. What do you see as the greatest need for improvement on this football team right now. Right now. And for those that did the game or did listen the game let's nitpick Olympic that you find an area. Of concern based on what you all listen to on Sunday afternoon but we're gonna we're going to pick and it. And the more I went -- went my position by position. Now you know unit by unit on the line tight end quarterback. Running -- defensive line linebacker cornerbacks special thing I would do everything I mean I'd you know everything. And I came up with just a couple of I mean it's almost silly. But it really of back up what I've said for the last you know a year two years now he's been calm. A member of the global team and my greatest near epic and it really doesn't return gave me to be much of an nit pick because. There's pretty good depth at the position. The Patriots -- fortunate to have depth. But our biggest nitpick I think overall. From Sunday -- with Laurence Maroney. And the many view probably share the same concerns. -- that I do and many others who cover the team care and that. Just don't know him as a durable. Pac. I don't see him as someone who is going to be I mean he. You know going to take a look I think for him to be a thousand yard rusher in this league. He's in his long enough where he could stay healthy super you know twelve. To fourteen games. Then you know he can probably rushed for a thousand yards but right now he can't do that. I'm not even sure what play team particular got injured on when he went out the first quarter on on. And then. After getting the word to the broadcast -- That his return was questionable which is usually you'll get from. You know team officials Ramon goes down that return quite a series returning to -- He came back into the game the fourth quarter. And one carry for one minus one and that was it. Now fortunately. Fortunately the Patriots I think have extraordinary depth this year and I am I'm pleasantly surprised when it in from LaMont Jordan. I've always liked anymore is -- even more since became a member of the Patriots a year ago obviously have in the chest injury that he a year ago it was a major blow for him. What I thought the pick of a anymore without standing. Was all what Kevin walks -- really means team he'd just diversify. That -- tremendous. There's just no money on the team that can do what Kevin Faulk does. He is. He is he's a glue guy every team has and beluga. Every team has to have a guy that can do little -- a little that and hold everybody together by his mere presence and his actions and Kevin all is that guy. Now I don't necessarily think that he's a most valuable player that we realised who the MVP of -- team is. But in that MVPs -- in Brady's absence Kevin Faulk I would certainly think. Kevin Faulk would deserve aimed at least to be four that are. In terms of with the Patriots real MVP he has about NFL and he probably BP to this team. Right now MVP this thing and I saw enough from Kevin Faulk offensively. That would out Kevin Faulk it changes. Dramatically the rhythm. The cadence and I think the confidence. Of this Patriots team on offense. Kevin -- to me is. The most valuable Patriot. He is. Now short of that come LaMont Jordan had I thought had an outstanding game against his old team. Try to figure out why he fell and it is labor in Oakland but then again all you have to do it to -- Al Davis and you probably the idea what the deal is here you know don't you know here's a guy that is probably speaking on the McGill tracker -- but speaking of a guy -- two out of touch. Here's guys get rid of -- head coach in Lane Kiffin and they just want and he's probably -- all that they won because he can't really fire his coach. I don't know you may end up doing it while on the Saturday who knows rumor is that he's -- and former Patriots coach rob Ryan is in. But I don't know what you I just I I sense something is amiss here. And with all due respect to rob -- Lane Kiffin mister Davis -- you know forgot more football than you were I will probably ever -- our entire lives. -- I don't think you'd you'd want to try to under god I don't think it's it's it's good. I don't think it's a good idea to get into an organization in undercut the head coach like apparently is happening Kiffin. It's one thing to suck up to your boss which I think rob Ryan is clearly doing here but to do that. That they expect someone else I just think it's kind of dirty and cheap. And if you really want the head coaching job the Raiders that bad. You know -- link given by all means by god go get it I mean I'm I'm a young guy and -- Lane Kiffin is you know thirty what 132. He's young. He's got a great career have been an unbelievable pedigree to -- bother and he's going to have a hard time getting the job all. Rob Ryan on the other hand may have a very difficult job getting it and have difficult time getting more jobs than the one he's you'll currently have a if he's named head coach the raider. He just sliced and I head coach they're completely on different pages. They've basically all the toward each other up in the media that is why now I just think that just a tremendous OI. Know I've I've kind of digress but. Fact is is them. LaMont Jordan was the original intent here. How he -- and his neighbor just you know their law is easily the Patriots game. I feel better now about the running -- of the Patriots that I felt at any time last year at a court last year we've argued with a nod in needed running back. It really what I mean we nitpick I think Laurence Maroney. He probably led our program in total number of nit pick last year we played it to Tuesday. -- guess. I'm -- And but it just seems to me that we are always talking about Maroney to only that. The running back this bring back that -- probably going to come right back as much although -- picking on on Maroney does because he does does seem to be durable back and that's -- he has what do you. Good thing they have depth. Good thing they have depth because I don't think -- feel like we -- missing tremendous amount if all of -- at LaMont Jordan was handled. Or was handed the starting line. -- we Davis and a lot if any more into the job or even if Kevin ball and that job. You know he's the got Heath Evans and you just recited a Kyle local again so on the Patriots are in great shape in the back field. And maybe that is all byproduct of -- of attempting to you know stacked the deck a little bit. And you know take the pressure off of Matt Cassel from from having to do too much or having to put the team. Upon his shoulders. As a result Tom Brady too many many times. I just don't think that Laurence Maroney com is going to be a thousand yard rusher. If he -- thousand rusher means he's he's healthy were. Like at least twelve to fourteen games and in in May be a few more. Part of that could all will be part of -- can also be the fact that because they haven't had to rely on the run and because they have the depth in the back field. That he may not. Get as many touches that's certainly possible but I would argue if he was given the opportunity for the touches he wouldn't be healthy enough to get them all. I don't know is that a concern for you. That the nit pick and it beat Tuesday web radio Patriots dot com. Oh you have a -- with -- football and something about this team that you just not hold on you're not -- on. Or on the that you may have observed or heard or read about. Laughs from the Sunday's game. In the win over the Jets now's the time to get it off your chest and well if we can discuss. Web radio at Patriots dot com 5 wait 5437482. The aren't giving a couple of moments in the hello struggled through some of the email. -- Somebody down notes from Sunday's game and these have probably been mentioned. But on the Bears repeating here just because of the significant and and I don't want anything to get lost in the translation especially if it has not been mentioned. Over the course -- they will realize. Especially in Patriots Monday -- Friday and -- we digress from football but that's just the nature of the beast bomb. Baker did when they're 21 consecutive regular season game. Point one consecutive regular season and lost. A game in December of 2000 excellent lost at Miami which was also I'm sure you probably all this data on the television if you -- the -- the Patriots failed to score a touchdown in the first half. All the football game like they did on Sunday when that little -- three NAFTA. Although that was actually pretty data that showed that and they they first showed at the start of the second of the game -- great timing for that are. Hello talk about a big -- Well fortunately for the Patriots they can -- the third quarter. I think you're going to see more and more. If the Patriots were taught that the coin toss they want to hurt the start of the second half you know and take advantage of that rule load. Being put into effect in the NFL this year. I think. The the Patriots and the coaching staff like having the opportunity. To start a new. In the second half and hold -- the ball and shove something down -- the team's throat and seizing control. They -- that only part of -- decision making pro and -- especially late in the first half of games you have the option hold on the football. And take the kick. In the second half -- more and more teams. Try to score. And do it right before the end of the half and then come back into it again start the second half. That's tremendous weapon if you know how to utilize it well it it takes good clock management. And good sense of where you are on the overall giving it takes a big picture guy. On the field or in the press box okay we have this we need this this is what we want to do. I think -- going to be a a piece of strategy that this team will continue. Do try to utilized to their advantage throughout the course is. On the neck and help them as opposed to others not but isn't in the other team sport credited as they they've got to mean. I think that you know I used to think -- why would you defer to the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Take the football right from the get go take the football at the tone set the tempo got to got to -- it on someone's throat and when you realize that but part of it is because we're going to -- on here like the Patriots scored. One at first position and and -- like one game I think last year. And again I don't -- from a on the -- but hum. We can pour -- on your. So. There are teams that you -- quite a bit. And the Patriots realize that we don't have the same team we had last year you're going to see them -- little bit more deep thinking rather than just you know opinion yours back and so don't be surprised to be seen that in -- when the talk always -- see them not. Receive the ball. To -- the game. Just a little bit of a side. Armed the -- has given up ten points of the jet. Now means of course that they've given up twenty points in two games. -- the twenty points allowed into the season's first two games the lowest total by a Patriots team it's coach Belichick became head coach in 2000. Although if you knew that I didn't know that until I actually read that. All the last time the Patriots a lot of totaled twenty points or fewer in the season's first two games was back in 97. Knowing that a lot of totals thirteen point start the year the first two weeks they won 417 over San Diego Foxboro stadium. And then they followed up with a 31 has a twin at Indian after. -- like forever. On the news. So anyway come. -- points allowed -- who gives as the lowest number of points allowed since Bill Belichick became head coach at the that was significant and not to mention here. Additionally -- 21 win. In the regular season overall. Com Steve is doubt he had a great game. It all four of his field goals. Here's the list is from 213728. Points. Did everything he -- you did the job he was asked to do any performed at. Efficiently if not outstanding. He's now five for five in the season of field goals. Bombed for four in the game matched his performance against Houston. On December 17 the most six. He has now hit twelve straight regular season field goals dating back to let these. He's also hit 25. Of his last 27 regular kicks broke the 93 per cent. He's successful 93%. Of the time. -- kicking field goals. -- little you know Adam Vinatieri was able to do that. He's at 55 of 65 in his regular season playoff career. 85%. And that accuracy rate is the highest. In Patriots history. Misses are -- forty ninth year of existence here. So some kudos were dubious task is concerned and the defense overall good of just one points or entire team for now making it 21 straight regular season games. Question remains of course how long will that treat go. I heard -- in a local -- radio program today's a you know the first -- should come after the bye week when they go to San Diego. I don't disagree with. San Diego boy beat me that that team statement -- the with a they've lost the two games they've lost at a wouldn't do. When it's one thing you don't want to do when you go into a situation like that you don't want to go into a game with a team that make Britain has back against the ball and you know I think -- hope right now that San Diego -- it went public it was between now and without the Patriots get out there. I mean they're going to want to prove themselves in the big thing with a pick the team that knocked them out of the Superbowl last year. So I don't know that it means a heck of a lot in the overall game but let's face mean they will be -- They won't be quite as good on these pins but they will be -- The good times and on the going to miss Michael Turner more than. Probably review. And -- found out what went last week's. Anyway that's probably ahead of the thing but original reason why the Patriots can't continue to -- around down the pike here try to get a win this Sunday. Get your bye weekend that he a lot of the road you play Sampras is going they have San Diego. Right. Overall. No reason why can't continue to roll that and keep that 211 -- grow old. Play from 32:01[32:01]" Well let's talk about the changes because this is not the same Miami team that. Most Patriots fans would be have been familiar with a year ago or couple years ago or. Play from 32:19[32:19]" Well I think he's going to really confused a winning attitude I know this isn't necessary transferable immediately to the on field product I think people here. When your one on fifteen there are some problems that you need to address and and he's come in handy clear picture of well we have to accomplish both of them a no nonsense coach Tony Sparano and and -- general manager Jeff -- and it all pure common vision. And I think that with coach Parcells here -- immediate credibility to some of the moves that the offer him making I think. Our fans answering at least our opening game we're pretty excited about the change we did make under the leadership -- those three individuals --"

Play from 33:05[33:05]" Let's go from now Parcells then too it's only Rondo is well. Who low you know came in obviously some familiarity between the two men when their time in Dallas as well what kind of -- Of a change in attitude if not you know mental and certainly maybe even physical what does he brought to this Miami team overall we saw a year ago."

Play from 33:24[33:24]" what Tony is is a classic offensive line coach at Maine he's parred those at least half. Doesn't make any excuses kind of what you expect from an offensive line coach has now morphed into head coach. I think that's real helpful because obviously the last two games we have struggled. And it's something new to him because this is his first -- head coach but he's kept a positive attitude. He's doing -- he can to work through mistakes we made keeping our team level keeping it focused on this week's game. I think you know at this point with the team that basically is young team and as you mentioned about big change internal from last year. He's direct person to our economy understands are growing pains he believes in teaching he believes in patience. He believes in letting young people learn from their mistakes I think right now given the makeup of our team. It's critical I don't know that -- necessary it would work at different environment I can't speak what -- it would or wouldn't. But certainly the right kind of added to get were expected the team we have."

Play from 34:19[34:19]" Ya Harvey bring up a kind of an interesting question that would because you know we all know the pressure -- to win in this league especially. It's there's pressure -- and everything you do in life but in this league you'd be nagged by -- more so. How does coach -- how does coach Parcells under the Dolphins as an organization balance. The need for a immediate gratification IE winning. We -- developing the younger players we talked about."

Play from 34:44[34:44]" That's great question division knowing that the -- here and you have to -- players you know they mentioned they need to see a positive reinforcement. That the things they're being talked. Do in fact work but I think these guys we brought so many of these players on board we've picked a lot of whom we know the types of players they are. It's something that he's he's going to -- to maintain a positive approach obviously. Well we did make this turnover we we lost some key leaders like Jason Taylor liking Zach Thomas. But now it's going to be a talent -- just -- I think for example we have a perfect person Chad Pennington to do just that -- One of the reasons we acquired -- is because his leadership capabilities and then he'd been through tough times. And so far especially working with two young quarterbacks in the receiving group. He stayed very positive he's worked target that extra meetings with them what do you still working out on the practice field. Stick it damages to make sure that we do correct those mistakes -- and that's -- relationship -- young team does need and then were fortunate to get a guy like Chad but again. That goes back to coach Parcells to Tony did you have to bring those types of individuals on -- to --"

Play from 35:47[35:47]" Are you making it way too easy interview because that's exactly where I was going -- because of the -- a -- attack with Jason Taylor and certainly. In any real well I understand that and because that those guys were the focal point of your franchise and rarely goes back to a very good teams in the past -- In that regard. If I had to feel like when he was picked up certainly take -- immediate need because you wanted to upgrade the position. But overall my guess is that Pennington would've helped and other aspects and how much was picking up. All of the duties that may have been vacated by guys like Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas."

Play from 36:24[36:24]" Well one good thing is he didn't have to work that hard to pick up the offense which is first and foremost to get them on the field because. A lot of that he was familiar with having played under that heading when he was with the Jets and then was a coordinator there -- so. Some of the things when he came on worry relatively unfamiliar can't. But when you see his work ethic key here today you know after practice he keeps to receivers out work with them. He brings in the opposite climate to look at it only brings a wide outs -- look at some. Whenever one looks at his work ethic as a veteran. You just can't help but want to follow that example and afterwards -- and Jason -- deal the last decade you know they stayed here late. They were here early when -- any of the guys you won't elected Junior Seau. -- you know he was with the Patriots went when you see the work that those people put it all over the ball was asked. -- expected of them. When veteran successful veterans do their advantage Israel broke so -- everybody else. I think that's we have no chance taking over a little bit from that role that -- is based Jason and tech head. To give the team that type of leadership it needs to show them what needs to be done over about the nine to five -- to -- puts him under a complex."

Play from 37:30[37:30]" Senior vice president of public relations media relations for the Miami Dolphins RB green with a here and play book. Art you know putting the good stuff aside here of that of the bottom line was 31 to ten loss to Arizona this past week. I'm guessing there a lot of people are greatly disappointed. Not just with the score bit because maybe some of the improvement you kind of allude eluded to have not yet -- manifested themselves on the field yet."

Play from 37:54[37:54]" No question about you know we came -- from the training camp pretty half Q where we we stood in terms of our development we did get some playing time for our younger players we -- were getting some immediate help. With what some draft choices like Jake Long. -- first US were contributing until we were very happy with our development I think like any young team. He's going to make mistakes we made some in the Jets game hopefully we corrected those honestly yeah. We made others against the Cardinals there were some breakdowns both that defensively it. In other areas where we had to Lehman on the field and I think the first thing a young team have to learn in this -- coach talked about yesterday and it is too. Make sure you don't beat yourself you don't have any mental errors don't jump -- they treat those disposed -- feel that don't break down on your coverages. If you could eliminate those things then you get yourself a chance you know some of the positive -- the -- games so far. -- years we've committed only one turnover will usually. That's any huge success that we can keep doing that and we cut downs from the mental mistakes we made them that we probably give ourselves a chance to whatever Sunday."

Play from 38:59[38:59]" You know I think that most Patriot fans round here are we certainly. And remember the days when it was Miami doing the other thing to do what Patriots have done recently in Miami fact is that Miami gave the Patriots last lost in the regular season. How much does the past whether it's good of -- how much does the pass play a part in what this team Miami wise now. It what this team is trying to build for the present and the future."

Play from 39:24[39:24]" I don't think it might have been good bomber few years ago we -- people who were with our team over course of time market weapon the inside mention you know Jason did you actually. You know one -- can't -- those people here but. You know we have a whole new team now frankly we're trying to change some of the culture over a year ago when we were one of fifteen. I don't think a lot of people here have been that familiar with success over the Patriots in recent years. Last thing with the Jets you know we have been and the number here so somebody early dominance we had. I really didn't come into play so I think you'd done what some new players. Very few familiar faces many had not been part of some of the good years we've had against Patriots. So I think it's something worse it's basically a clean slate and and we know how much respect you know that team if you you had a great record that they did a year ago. And he's got to understand how good they are and I think really from everyone here. LS starting from -- from a really -- in the beginning which is our slogan instantly because everything is don't know. And and that's positive when he did struggle as much as we did last year you want to look ahead not back and then look at thing you can't do down the road not think you might have done in the past."

Play from 40:32[40:32]" Reclamation product project of -- even though he gets he didn't really turn out to beat them but it's turned out that he's he's kind of had a rehabilitated. And what does Ricky Williams. And his story housing in this hearing and how is he band. You know in terms of club just his day today ability to come to work."

Play from 40:51[40:51]" You know -- ever since he joined this team and I think to a six years ago and it if there's one -- I think you'd do know about Ricky Williams. The minute he walks into the training facility he is he pro he does all the extra work. Doesn't make a playoff and practice is greatest meeting rooms paid attention. Is very coach ball our coaches love them. And and he does everything you would want in a professional football player and more. The only issue is if you on the on the passes this thing that might have occurred outside the building. I -- to be more mature seems to be a lot more responsible and how he handles his responsibilities away from here. And so if you take those attractions -- a play which hopefully he has done in his life. The end when he does come in here every day. He's been a golfer certainly been our younger players like Ryan Braun who look up to his work ethic so he's been fine the only issues in the past have been things away from this building. And so far he's been able to distance himself too many things have been issues in the past."

Play from 41:48[41:48]" Well do you feel like overall I guess I know the answer this question but I still have to -- advocate here it. Do you feel like overall that this team has. More talent better talent that what you had the last couple years."

Play from 42:01[42:01]" It's better worse what can I can't say is its younger. And I think what we want to see assist team improve as the season goes along you know obviously. We did change or not sure what we're we we're really. Try to work through the draft that and then not necessary to trade or free agents to build this team I think there -- a lot of new faces a lot of young faces on this team and honestly. They're going to have to work by by making mistakes you know any got a little bit of time in the fourth quarter looked impressive but I guarantee you. The next time he enters the game he's probably going to make some mistakes than any rookie quarterback might so. That the key point for us is not whether we're going to be better or worse in comparison to past years but how we're going to be as the season progresses and and the bottom line process certainly. Way to -- I think that is for every team but also progress we want to make sure. That we play our best football at the end of the year that are -- gaining that experience warning their mistakes NC we might be doing right now."

Play from 42:56[42:56]" Yeah I guess they'll learn from the mistakes that last week was not Kurt Warner 361 yards against that secondary so you're you're youngsters in the second they're going to trial by fire right now as we speak."

Play from 43:05[43:05]" And if god doesn't get any they've got Randy Watson you know Wes walker showing here we don't know what western Dillon and -- It doesn't matter you know who's who's playing you know when you put the Patriot helmet on you're your symbolizing supremacy. In the -- not need space they'll you know we know attended the task we have in front of us and a it's going to be good. Waited to do -- really judge. How far we've what kind of progress we've made this year."

Play from 43:29[43:29]" Party can you give fans. Maybe a little bit of insight as to a pleasant surprise on offense and even for the team someone -- they might not have. -- really been aware of."

Play from 43:40[43:40]" Yeah. Our offense probably I'll -- received Don -- as looked good. He's the guy who has -- really don't herald player undrafted he's now sharing some. Return do -- with Ted Ginn he's he's been a real health trust and receiving here. Unfortunately one of our real surprised Donald Thomas was an offensive linemen got -- first game you hit a sixth round pick who didn't -- much time the need to connect it's something bureau listeners. Might be familiar with some and really came out of nowhere to win a starting job but. Unfortunately injured himself is now on IR. Defensively I think Cadillac. For it was a draft choice he's starting left and he's got a couple of sacks in his first two games so I I think he's a kid that is going to just get better and better with playing time so. In one case it's a treacherous that we had high expectations. And another case it's a free agent from Hawaii that we can't have any of his early shown and training camp and pre season and."

Play from 44:36[44:36]" When he's been given a chance on a regular season and finally."

Play from 44:39[44:39]" Although he had struggled but I think he's played well on a consistent basis atop the -- draft last year and Jake Long have you been able to keep penalties that hurt against the Jets. But I think our coach says that is 66 played any -- against the Jets. Once Kyoto which is. A great figure for anyone that much rest Iraqis so I think he's a kid."

Play from 45:00[45:00]" That reminds me a little bit at Richmond Webb who took the first round back in 1990 I think it's just going to get better with the expert he gets each and every games."

Play from 45:08[45:08]" I have to imagine makes the job that you have someone a little bit more difficult when year you know player that you really trying to kind of mold around and build around. Is exactly skill position player."

Play from 45:20[45:20]" Well -- days it's assembly of only one has a lot of interest in this sure you know we've been here for so many as I've been associate with the team now for two decades and there's so much interest in the Dolphins just sit there is knowingly and Patriots that's. The little boy you are what you do people want to know that you don't want to read about -- want to hear about you and you know Jake Long is is is well spoken he's articulate these -- great chopper presenting this organization. As -- all the treacherous wish they had it during training camp and because there isn't much media attention. -- what you'll get the chance to you know to -- so to speak and I think it's great that the -- part of the reason we trip to the people we did. But it -- character you know that's part of what we build we built our foundation on. And -- from Margaret regarded in how they deal with the media these guys have been great. Obviously we're going through some hard times now but yes I -- a lot from our goal was positive everyone was there to talk to depressed. These guys know how to take responsibility hopefully as as they grow they'll continue to show that same type of maturity."

Play from 46:32[46:32]" Getting again he's going to call laughed -- It's biased that -- you know just talked more of that because he says a lot of guys around there you know we're going to take hero -- guys as well so what noted you know -- think everyone can coach this is along doing the same Dolphin --"

Play from 46:47[46:47]" Are -- much time look for -- on and general market. Got to thank you very much. Harvey Greene of course is the senior vice president for media relations for the Miami Dolphins. Visits with a -- when the pats in the -- get ready to. I'd go at each other each and every year within the AFC east I have to admit that I was funded. Completely done. When I all the score of the Arizona want and for the -- 31 at. I mean is there don't they go to Miami still really that bad. Which one was -- your estimation anybody of the game. Anybody read the excerpts from the game. Other than what I've got a red you know here and there and couple website and all you know Miami Herald bitten. Kind of hard sometimes tell what really went on them because I think the coverage it's little jaded after awhile when you've. Lost what 2122. Liberty is now that the Dolphins lost. I was -- Probably a little bit of both and that the that the Cardinals are are improved yet. To the point where they could certainly be a serious playoff contender in the NFC but. Dolphins really did well -- mean. That it had only a 112 yards passing. Ricky Williams eleven carries for 28 yards Ronnie Brown was eleven carries 25 yards -- Not much of a 12 punch at running back there although -- paper at least you know having you know healthy Williams and and an attitude correct Williams -- Ronnie Brown. If he's healthy that's pretty good -- to -- she could make an argument that may be the single best 12 punch tell likewise. In the division. If not -- of -- I mean that. Just look at the names of Greg category four catches. Not a whole lot office. Only put up ten against you know an Arizona team that now -- Cardinals for the for what now to -- over the over time I think 91. I'm not so I guess the bottom line years I'm not entirely certain -- that eight out of it. From at least -- Miami perspective from the past weekend and will it will continue to. Jumping into you know things about the Miami Dolphins throughout the course of the week here in the playbook but there you go yeah get at least a little bit about. Of a of of you know what the picture can be expecting I mean certainly they're familiar which had packed. And I and I know that in some. Corners of of Miami media in tandem a couple of message boards that are out there and let -- that I guess there was a mom. Question is whether or not Chad Pennington was going to stay the starter at quarterback from Miami. Based on his -- and and tepid it. Com beginning to his Dolphins career. Tom. Always followed did -- yesterday that Pennington was going to say -- starter at quarterback. Are I think more vividly though. The Dolphins need to -- about their secondary. This could be the game kids this could be the game that. You know Matt Cassel and gains a little more confidence and he certainly has reason. To have confidence behind him now given with a game plan wasn't it and what the Jets were presented to him and he managed the game to -- what are we supposed. You know -- on one and it -- frankly have a Marshall caught the ball anyway but that's that was his main. Golf is another nit picked for Tuesday right -- caught that -- ball and I'll get a pet that we -- into the I nitpick that large around my nitpick but it that you -- and it. I'm not much is it. But this game I think it would just leave it right into -- progress of improvement for a guy like -- can't. Because he's going to have a chance now to I'm gas here and say these have a chance to torch at all but still the chance to go deep on occasion. Now my guess would be that if they also -- rolled a safety over as coach Belichick talked about yesterday and you probably in the media as well that provide double coverage on a guy like Moss that's going to leave further opportunity underneath."

Play from 51:04[51:04]" And he'll take advantage of that. And guess and they try to go over the top a little more. This week. And if they can do that and that's exactly what the Patriots. And -- little more lick your little bit more little more of medicine for what failed them. If anything at all ails them. Play from 55:50[55:50]" When we left you on Thursday afternoon. And so forgive me of these have been used but I don't think they have been -- Let me see -- fight -- trying to. And looks like there are some people here that are actually a misunderstood questions. In particular though but that's all right you know government likes to -- year. From time to time. -- A couple of here for my apologies here. This one comes from Michelle. As he UB is kind to answer my question that is when is Tom having his surgery and why are they waiting a month is it mandatory into the team's moral. Morale like humans Willie B on the satellites of the season. Well initial first ball. There is no definitive date on when Brady is having his surgery. That is a medical decision that the team will make teams doctor. Traditionally I don't know if you're familiar at all with what happens when a player injured his knee and as a deal here and and and -- over for -- that meant what -- But what happens is there's usually a lot of well I know this has happened to me about 25 years ago. There's a lot of well and they have to wait for the swelling and the inflammation to go down because right now wouldn't do much good to get inside the -- and open it up. You wouldn't be sure what you were trying to fix. When everything gets back to the -- semi normal with the exception. All the ligaments and elves that have been torn. Well -- it was down in the ligaments region to find an easy to reattach -- repair. So it will probably be approximately a month. From now. Or actually I was told last week 46 weeks from the date of the injury. When you'll actually -- and then after that it will be approximately six to nine months. Of rehabilitation. Now if you worked really hard he's very diligent to be on the shorter side of that. If it happens to be a particularly excruciating experience and maybe more damage the surgery doesn't go as well as you hope it could be on the longer. Remarkably years ago Michelle anybody else for that matter. -- win -- Rodney Harrison blew his beyond exploded tour all three of the major ligaments the question is whether he'd be able to walk normally again much -- play it. Rodney he pretty much nine that twelve month. And he's just now kind of like you know feeling his -- again. In the past. Carson Palmer here's a better example Carson Palmer quarterback hasn't been when he blew out his -- a couple of years ago but he came back. After roughly nine months of -- He won't deal was not quite the aim for two begging usually take you and and I don't mean -- you don't blow this circuit on next year. But when you have a devastating knee injury like the one that Tom Brady had it takes you awhile to get it back. You can rehab it where the point becomes where you don't really -- as much anymore but he'll miss a little bit of that it. And of course the -- and that was it -- Tom ever had is it -- that but. It's going to take him a little while. Not say that next year won't be York can't be a good year I -- think that it probably will be. Two years from right now before we get back in the Tom Brady -- always -- all that's just a guess on my part. You'll take all of the rest of this year in all of early part of -- for him to rehab but -- things go according to schedule. He should be able. With no further complications are no further injury or no further problems he should be able. There it goes well again and again -- on here came in and I don't know because I'm not going to go to the -- with him but he you know in theory based on past injuries that are similar. In theory would be able to be ready for next year's training camp somewhere around that time not even now. We know how the Patriots -- training camp of the -- right. You know I don't know that would change on the it would they competed protected monopoly player would they let him. You know get some reps next year you know because he's going to he's got a -- with a brushed the knock off I mean who knows it will. Deal -- all next year because we got an entire year to play here. But that will be something that will be talked about a lot next. And my guess would be it'll take him all of next season and if he doesn't have any further problems then. By 2010. Will come close -- the Tom Brady that we in Alaska that would be my heard somebody say the other day in fact. What she's going to the whole year that give him at least a year of shelf life for his career. You -- what it's going to -- that would result like this year and get -- Yeah actually I think there's some truth to that. He's not going to take the pound. When he was hit 18085 times last you know it was -- that intensity was hit. He took -- much pounding as any quarterback in the league. And he will have a year where and to that's for sure Ottawa that'll add a year to -- Corey or not but it's going to be interesting to hear them actually it and with the exception might even though perception is an all what he's reality years ago. And as far as him being on the sidelines I think it's possible that at some point he could be put. You know when you're rehabbing in in in in your sidelines and you're wearing a brace on crutches -- not really mobile. I don't you'll be front and on the sideline. To have happen in which early like an update on the Notre Dame and lastly did you see that in Michigan. Huge huge early did you know decked by his own player. -- And I did more than just that he Torre's name and he's got an ace -- And I believe it and he'll tears well even though he's said he's not any hurry to have repaired -- looked like. Boy I mean that's why you won't see him front and on the silent night in back in the venture a guess that's possible but. I mean -- sideline Europeans object to you know the physical -- of the game. Anyway I have not. That you him on the and he might. You might. Count out Canada -- it Tom rugby out of the way during the games and his -- probably come on the practice field. And in the classroom here in the statement that we Tom. Helped the most hope the time and -- your question. Arm. Let's collect this one on this and comes from Joe is when cal opened the bomb to Moss didn't step up that the only under through. You think he's afraid that what happened to Brady would have been him anything on the to worry about. Null. No I think he did I I believe the ball just slipped. Big hits. Much I don't think often maybe initially that it gotten to about the ball -- slipped out of his age at which is why he under threw more than anything else in the course. We saw it was certainly was an audible on the player was it was a it was a change because. That was not the original intent of the play and all is easy Randy Moss that was handled -- was actually. Went out cornerback on the play. And may just have been a case of being too eager to get the ball out there to run the ball slipped out of do I think that he was worried about what happen to Brady would have and him not in the league. Away players don't think like that -- Players goes on I gotta I do that I can get hurt like Brady know. Nobody ever thinks like that nobody they are going to going to get hurt nobody does not in any sport no athlete nowhere. I defy you to fly me incredibly a professional athlete. Worth you know two sacks of beings. That goes other thing you know what avoid doing that because I'll get hurt nobody thinks like you can't afford to do that you think about getting hurt. You'll get hurt that -- Okay. Let's see hum. I don't listen to take guys want to drop the ball here. I can only listen to the show my iPod last week you went to listen to the showed pretty injury it was a posted on -- luckily there was a Patriots Hall of Fame propaganda show. I TV of the latest version by the one and if you if your own personal computer you don't have any firewalls you should be able to get the live version. Fabulous the Bobcats into -- thank you for. Okay. Let's move again web radio at Patriots dot com. 58543. Heavily for 82 want to nitpick Tuesday here. In side Patriots playbook. Oh goodness here we go Christians as these that was solid in office was methodical at times how good is Kevin Faulk he has continued to make plays. Yet talk a little bit about -- earlier Christian. And in my estimation. Kevin Faulk right now is the MVP of the team's office of the -- office. I all bark. On that team offensively that you'd just don't get the chance to -- in NC. The week there when he when you -- when he had an out you didn't see that. -- budget dimensions of the offense. From his ability to catch. The ball ability to run the ball. He's just he's a money player he's just at -- money. And I think Kevin Faulk is is got to be considered one of the of not the most valuable player on that offense right now based on every tool that he brings that they. They'll as LaMont Jordan's in another good Bill Belichick Scott pioli training camp pick up walker looked like his old -- They'll think that in order to beat teams like Denver San Diego and Indy we need to put up touchdowns not -- Eagles. I'm not going to disagree with that. But I would tell you that at least to putting up something right now let's give this particular often have you -- a chance to gel together. And give everybody on the unit from you know Kevin Faulk Randy Moss. LaMont Jordan to Wes walker to everyone including -- let's give everybody a chance to you know get used to having Matt Cassel. As the quarterback and when that happens and I think you'll see. Hopefully progression throughout the course he's and then those vehicles will -- touchdowns. Is hopefully Cassell can use -- these these couple games in the body get into more of a rhythm with the receivers. No doubt about that -- And at that point at that notion we bring in -- but below and -- much John how you doing you think of a -- do you agree or disagree with a particular camera. In don't. Obviously this team is still it's going to offense we going to be continue to be a work in progress but. As long as UC on the progression in all areas week to week that their step in the right direction."

Play from 1:07:13[1:07:13]" Yeah nineteen points won't be enough every week. I think we -- at a meeting of the you know some weeks it will be -- the you know. Ought to be some -- and -- forty you know all in San Diego a week it won't be based on Diego for a few weeks now what you know Diego's defense so far proven to be you know able to -- scored upon. We'll -- that's still a few ways -- I think we're gonna see is down and different guys each week being the key performers. You know I'll LaMont Jordan I have -- have have an excellent performance in the second half. -- after the game on Sunday. I think one of these weeks David Thomas is going to have a breakout game. I think we're going to Jabar Gaffney open up some time there were probably knock those games where it beat your offense is operating on all cylinders. First sixty minutes like we saw a few times last year. It's going to be up to different guys different weeks Matt Cassel is going to have his ups he's going to have is now. The running game is going to have their standard now on I think they have -- they've gotten off to a diversified offense that -- and you know one element of the offense. Having a down week if others step up and -- you know I I think the -- certainly the offensive line rounding into sequel will be important in -- You know maybe it's even Neal back at a certain point and you know you'd know that Russ Hochstein can play a role at some point. You hope the offensive line to stabilize that and keep side you know keep Packers off of -- off of castle but. You know this was this was a good stepping stone that game for the offensive for -- which is exactly what he said on. Wasn't great wasn't perfect -- need to be great that you need to be perfect on the day gogel -- better performances. Answered I've seen vehicle being one though maybe Denver which is the week after San Diego on they'll be there will be some weekly the -- need to score more than nineteen points put. On a step in the right. -- absolutely and that's pretty much where we've kind of they've come to that conclusion here because. Through the the lack of email load of nit -- today on a topic Tuesday. And everybody was fairly satisfied if not out now please over what they saw it you know what I mean it it was hard not to lower expectations going to this week right or wrong -- you you don't you sort of re sets. You're tiger -- expectations for this team a week ago. And you take that into account when you start -- we we don't if you look at the odds you know the what would biggest had to say about the game lead from between last Sunday and the actual -- game I mean it completely was reversed from -- ten point favorite for the Patriots to what -- point underdogs. Yet to completely change in start with a clean slate. -- people on him and I think you know it is if Matt Cassel and completely laid an -- in the interview reason to worry on it but his his his performance was. Eerily similar. Tom Brady in September 2000 wanted to forget the stats were were virtually identical and the score was far more lopsided but that was because. In the defense and special teams and ankle scored that game against NB. So when you think about it that way hey -- there were there there's you know plenty of room for improvement but. On you know you to set that you just had to reset your expectations going to get that prior wide. You know I would assume that's why not too many people are nitpicking you you really shouldn't you gotta give this guy a little more -- instigated at this current Baltimore team."

Play from 1:10:22[1:10:22]" Pete and Augusta mains as I think the reason he's -- rest on the old line the defense seemed to open up. Looks like bill is gearing up the run game pad level lot of talent think they can go along -- ball maybe was some luck involved bill castle. On okay I'm out of that they were that way had a -- but the same time though. Yeah excellent a lot of talent yes they are gearing up the running game and yes I opened up the show would say nothing LaMont Jordan may be the pickup of the off season."

Play from 1:10:49[1:10:49]" Yeah and you know did this team has in the past had some guys got I kind of my rule of thumb when guys available once training camp starts he's a free agent there's got to be -- reason why these guys available. In this case if kinda similar even -- this is earlier this is before the season. It's kind of similar to win like don't Heath Evans came in the Middle -- and was able play and year old and you're like how. Why would this guy not on eighteen I was -- guy appeal. Jabar Gaffney you know he was available you know off the scrap people this is pretty good how out of -- and sometimes just a matter finding your new child on a certain team. You know I have my doubts when LaMont Jordan signed an in my thinking like that they -- at the time back in late July I was thinking well. For this guy to make the team either Seymour is going to have to get injured -- really. Or not and not make the team more you know Heath Evans -- that happened to him. I just didn't even keeping five running backs on especially you know I just didn't he just in either role for my but he -- to really -- play other guys. In any -- performances in the pre season games like guys up at this guy can complain rolling in -- in LaMont Jordan to be twenty carries a game. But it you know in this particular case was a good example. Laurence Maroney leaves the game with an injury he ends of coming back to the -- he'd he'd need an appearance later on but. -- if what Laurence Maroney -- a game you're completely reliant Seymour. Seymour can only take you so far. If it is again you got more in you've got LaMont Jordan -- and you can mix them up a little bit maybe one game it's Jordan -- 17617. Carries for sixty yards. And remorse his better games -- attacked. You've just got such and such a diverse array of weapons now. Jordan came around well before Tom Brady got hurt so you know they had five running backs roster. I've usable running backs in the roster we want to although Kevin Faulk was what has benefited five guys their plan was still play and we -- running game regardless of in this well why they knew time was one they want -- five I think they figured hey you know what. We need to nature -- down -- not to be balanced but we did that running back group. Have a lot of diversity -- ability to do a lot of different things. As a as of right now actually running -- in the roster Tuesday night how Michael yesterday. And and and you know as in exchange for for a tight ends -- get. Right back on the roster and they really only one healthy tight and although Benjamin Watson does need to become -- you know maybe he'll he'll be back this week. And done as far as wide receivers really only two wide receivers that are really done much so far through two games Randy Moss and Wes Welker. Gaffney hasn't done much Kelley Washington hasn't done -- and taken out there. A lot of signs pointing to this team is going to rely on this running back group more so than in past years or more so that would -- That was actually part of my nit picked for Tuesday it was I was going to nitpick I'm not one of her favorite target from last season. Laurence Maroney yeah. It is fact is is that I just don't think you'll ever be the 1000 yard rusher than people think he's capable of being just don't think he's durable enough which -- life. I believe this team stepped up and built up the depth at running back in the -- isn't and you -- you would hope let me listen when when you draft the guy in the first round at whatever position you're figuring he's going to be a cornerstone of the cornerstone at that position for ten years otherwise. Vineyards stretch like that why you -- rational -- that is exactly why you take a guy the first round you know -- the first round because he's going to be Alex Smith. Or he's going to be you know I Italy in three years you taking guy because you can say you know what works at it at this for for awhile. That's not the -- Maroney don't baby don't 2006. Was kind of the start of really the -- Beltran of you got it through usable running backs to survive you can't you gotta keep guys rational that they saw it Corey Dillon and it worked out well that rookie year you know. Maroney showed flashes it was still Dillon's. -- was still a leading role but they kind of you know essentially split carries one when it was all said and done but he's in. The question right now has to be king used -- you. Rely on Laurence Maroney to be one of your true reliable running backs we know here. As of you know the way it looks year. Based on their philosophy to have you know several running backs in based on his durability it's not be here. That he's a two point four carry a guy 1200. Yard rushing type of guy. It's not going to happen here. And you either have to understand that and say okay as long as we have him as we can -- him to be in the mix. They were fine it's just that he the first round pick and you think it's eight out of the otherwise he's shown enough. In in flashes especially in the last year that. Or we if we do given the ball and he stays healthy he will watch for 1500 yards."

Play from 1:15:24[1:15:24]" Advocate here I don't know that they even intended that to be the case might might my guess is they were hoping for something. Realizing they're not getting it and so well I think we need to make sure that we protect -- this particular -- I think what should be more of a target number for fans. -- I think fans. And most casual football observers. Even irritable or that matter but. Let's say that they look at individual numbers and think all well of the back runs for a thousand yards then that team had at least a decent running game and and I I think that's a little bit of a misconception. -- certainly indicates that there is some talent there I don't think that means there's a great running game involved. You gonna -- go with a thousand yards and then nobody else had anything -- terrible running game whenever -- over sixteen games. What they may need is one guys incredibly durable what I think the number is that most fans of the Patriot League look at. Is the per game number of this team needs it about a 125. Rushing game in they get hit 125. Rushing per game. -- you know that they're pretty much accomplishing at least at a minimum walked. They feel like they needed to have a chance to be success."

Play from 1:16:32[1:16:32]" Right and it that comes with five different guys having 25 yards and that's -- with that is that era if Maroney rushes for 225. And everybody else combined for -- hit. That's where it took on that day that's why -- you'll also obviously you want the yards per carry to be important away with this team really looks at. I think is you know the ability to move the clock at the right time like in this game you know when they were their head in the fourth quarter it's. Let's move the clock and you're gonna move the clock with the running game and you know LaMont Jordan nine yards three yards one -- you know you you move the clock and -- depends on where those yards come from my guess is what what what time of the game and what what what part of the game it coming but you're right. I think that's too bad that that's rough that's minute -- it by the end of the season it's three different guys with 600 yards rushing and that's pretty that's not bad. That's fine -- that you would have any complaints I think you're actually read it if we look at that the history of you know 1213 1400 -- guys that. Reception would be -- of the Patriots running game ever but conversion because they don't have one back as the as the ball all right well and it doesn't necessarily have to be the case you're you're well. Running back by committee and it's like quarterback -- by committee and it doesn't work. Running back is a different species every position differ from quarterback you could have multiple wide receivers tight ends running backs in the -- you can't compare the quarterback. There's only one on the field at one time Andy you know. But but at running back -- rusher in five lie there's more than usually one running back on the right exactly and and it fits into that you jacket which quarterback every place you could -- every play keep guys -- at the performing. That's all the better and you you know you've got multiple guys performing that great and in with the with for every now is different is guy who's. Who's. -- they're they're ranked are different elements of the -- I think is well you know you got you know you got Kevin -- and we know what he's done you read -- him earlier. Tom in the third -- catch the ball out of the backfield which is almost like a running play a -- little screen pass to would ever work. You know it's it's it's essentially running play and you've got you know Maroney wouldn't cut the outside to -- Jordan who's going to be you know a goal up we got up the middle. On -- different guys do different things get you -- you know every now and then on on on a fourth and inches you know at midfield you're gonna you gonna see him with the ball. And he's -- he's got to really jobless figures the lead blocker for some of these guys so you've got guys who you can rely on different types of situations. On its diverse group. I think going forward even with even if Tom Brady was a quarterback right now. On aggregate Seymour and emphasis on on on in these guys that. By the lawyers about walk he had four Morrow receptions he has 327 his career now -- the Patriots all time leader -- Receptions by a running back he needs two more to tie Terry Glenn yet for fifth all time in franchise history that's amazing especially for running back tells you how valuable as we've been talking about it how valuable he really has to this offense. You know it's amazing for guys that the last as long as he has ten years he was 13. Round pick third round pick. In in 99 it was it was. There because third out of out of LSU and and he set records at LSU it was like this guy was an unknown nine unknown quantity and you don't know it. In his first couple years and second round second round second round nine of -- in his first couple years I mean this wasn't very good team and it really have much of a running game and you know he he he wouldn't you don't -- he start to show flashes you know early on. And you know you got the sense that Sammy -- you'll be here for a couple of years and and you know -- one of operating or whatever. But for Alex in -- find his -- the way he has starting you know Super Bowl years with you know being that reliable or down guy. On occasion being will be back there there have been times over the years where for injuries or injury reasons or whatever he's he's your number one back going to a game and he can succeed. As -- fumble issues in the national. On you know it is he is he the perfect running back know what what a complementary guys and and he's been perfect for his role right and to be. -- Fabini for. All time in this organization. In receptions credit to his longevity into into his ability to adapt. And to his willingness. To it -- his -- yeah. And that's what is not quite team captain -- he was captain last -- is easy to get to a certain point your career where maybe you you know early on you -- thought you know what. I -- get out here -- I can I can I want have a -- you know number one guy Charles but we use you yet you buy -- you realize how valuable you are your role -- to the team the team effort to get through certain point you're for real like this is this is where exactly is -- being apart of something bigger than than just me and and -- that -- and you know easy week in week out how valuable he can hit a return. It appears strong performance Sunday the plane or why I mentioned earlier -- when he's on the field this team seems to have a bark about it yet that they just don't have -- yeah yeah any person many different -- by the early second in terms of longevity on the team behind whom. -- Bruschi that'd be correct. You know I earlier this offseason to them partly because I do work -- work work you know -- and -- And everything yeah. And partly because I'm kind of a sports speaker sports lose or whatever I decided one day and what's your work time it was from my own personal that was our work that. I decide to you don't want to angered. Athletes are in Boston. And kind of kind of -- kind of interesting it just popped into my head and I don't have a front of me but. On to the -- who some of the -- longest tenured guys are you know doctors here but on in the entire Boston sports landscape. And you know once I put the paper like. Lonnie Paxton is one of the six -- rate longest tenured athlete imposter. He packed -- he's. He's third in 2000 ice tour in the Boston area. And on Boston's fourteen Taurasi before 2000 we're talking about select few. Tim Wakefield Jason very tech from the Red Sox -- Bruschi from here on. Bruschi -- from here Paul Pierce with the Celtics I think there was eighty PG axles and from the Bruins and had the guys from 2000 Brady. In one. Of the top -- autistic eight year I was like a double double and and fought. Aram is one of the 34 want any other than fought it Bruschi it's Tim Wakefield and -- I don't that's about yeah but the about it so far he's been here you know it's it's hard to believe me really is but. You're just about a long is. He -- be in the you know guys don't want to one especially. With one thing you know you get superstars that are with a team like like. Topical is your part party superstars or with their team forever. Role a role player who Kevin -- guy to be after ten years is pretty pretty impressed I agree with that. James general --"

Play from 1:23:22[1:23:22]" As always watch the game Sunday I heard the announcer comment of the Patriots -- he said I heard the Patriots Stevens was getting old and slow but I don't any signs of that year. You can join the great game that he tends to them stepping it up or to the lack of quality competition."

Play from 1:23:37[1:23:37]" Arm I. I personally think that well with the Jets were were sort of disappointing offensively in the I thought I thought they'd have more than they offered. And -- particularly -- but you know make no mistake about it in my opinion. The defense is taking it upon themselves. Gone to the side hey you know what. The offense isn't what it's going to be last year. And we were you know we're we're good defense we -- a lot of our core guys from from a few from previous years they're taken it upon himself to say hey don't forget about us we. We this defense was the cornerstone of the team. You know back -- 134. You know this is a team that was you know that was all about the big defensive performances. I think I don't think it's coincidence that this game with where we're really -- bark out of Rodney. Richard Seymour Tedy Bruschi into the game Ty Warren and not that they didn't have big performances last year or even last week against Kansas City you don't think it's a coincidence. That in his first game post Brady. This was a defensive game -- of the game with a you know perform as the memorable performances memorable plays were different players. I think it's more about them stepping up but it was about the about the opponent on -- I think it's gonna we're going to you'd at all rookie year."

Play from 1:24:45[1:24:45]" I and one thing that I noticed about this team stepping it up obviously losing first couple games of the red zone defense. -- surely picked up -- workout left off last year baker -- the -- to a field goal after New York had a first and goal at the three yard line in the second quarter. On first down it was Bruschi and dander up and Thomas Jones second out Harris and got Jones for a one yard game. Third and goal a Seymour dub Jones. And forced a -- go there to keep out of 63. -- all of that last week was always on the opening week as well you know against Kansas City Lleyton again it's certainly had a game riding on the outcome. That that to me is a huge positive this team emphasizing that it -- early did."

Play from 1:25:26[1:25:26]" Bend but don't break is that we've seen what we had in the past and they think they haven't even that's really that -- they gave up some pretty some odd couple plays a couple -- flow keep him you know that the play it was a cold that took it you know to the at all. Yeah I I forget exactly when that was I think that was -- second quarter I'd drive I 54 yards you know with the short pass and you know a missed tackles they've got a few holes on the defense and they've given up. You know some some some pretty big yardage plays. Aram but you know they're they're they're they're getting it done when it counts the most and even you know you you just you just -- play by play and -- that second drive that first drive -- the first quarter when ninety feeling missed the field goal it was the same kind of thing they got into the red -- it wasn't goal line but they got into the red -- it was a a third down completion don't tell -- Washington -- in the red -- And I -- Tom Jones -- after two yards incomplete pass in the you know Favre scrambles he -- side did get taken down at the settle for field goal tenth inning. It's a little bit of that bend but don't break I think there are some holes on its defense and a few guys have lost a step there's no doubt about it but. On it didn't come up where matters the most and where they take the most pride which is down there you know inside the red zone inside the ten at the goal line. You know that's what that's what it's all about that's what they take most pride in. And not always it was funny last year how'd you know they'd finish finish off some of these games you know 42 to add -- and you know 38 and nothing at all that. And you know you're you're trying to. -- you you trying to find out what will work and improve and all that deep and kept on and they are one of the worst teams reds were one of the worst teams in the right statistically there right. But it's you know it it's one thing if you're you know you'll allow teams to reach the red zone twice in an entire team and they score twice reverses if you let them get their eight times and they always score four. You know. Beating it with teams in the red zone all that much when they did score a few times -- point one nothing so no big deal but that was what the big -- happy. You with the reds -- performance last year even though they're winning these games by. You know hundreds. And in teams would score a few times the red zone now that the scores -- until closer in the world last year they've got regularly have to do in those reds don't -- are going to be magnified and they are going to be inactive."

Play from 1:27:35[1:27:35]" I Johnson's emailing it was a hi John forgive me starting off by referring to meriwether Dickey wrote a decline look at mark and how how does have big criticism now. Brandon meriwether last year he just didn't have the hands and play and obviously financial with a big -- where yet he big picnic if you could real on this one then I don't know obvious thought -- it all over and play the game against -- back and I you could real on this. Absolutely does it wasn't pretty but it worked when until people last week that we went -- and they'll look to me like I was not well. The woman nine here's what I took from the game I thought they real castle in in which we kind of expected limiting is Rosalie Bruins have a bit more reliable. I would say that that wasn't Nash rarely the case although I think they probably realize that we don't want to give him anything that. Might lead to show -- higher risk but it's coach Belichick explained yesterday. Rule what they were doing his role on the safety over which in effect became double coverage on Moss and taken with the deep ball on the -- just were not. Going to get beat by the balls so what Matt Cassel did was take advantage of the defense. Of presented to him the underneath route to Welker and that's what."

Play from 1:28:40[1:28:40]" We all that -- when Brady was quarterbacking what do you think was all over a hundred."

Play from 1:28:45[1:28:45]" Because everybody didn't want to get beat by -- there's there's not much different your your right."

Play from 1:28:50[1:28:50]" Now in in this case on Sunday one -- remember the one play or where were Cassell you know through Moss deep. And I ended being under thrown in an and it wasn't caught if that throw didn't reach Mott that would have been a touchdown. And that is an example of the one time Moss does beat the cornerback. And and that he he is not right they're too wide to tell about the quarterback. Moss is going to be open and and it -- matter of getting in the ball and that that play didn't work out Cassidy and get the ball their arm but they're willing to be patient. Ian if the -- the trend in the game -- that safety over that's fine if one time in the fourth quarter mark -- safety didn't roll they're -- they're going to go. And -- that -- go to port to -- should. It would they were patient they waited for must be you know for for that one way to come up tried it failed thats fine they'll they'll get a -- iron that out the war."

Play from 1:29:42[1:29:42]" On the good nit pick here racism. First of all the things I -- that man has to work on he telegraphed his throws even like until Horry was going. He has to look for options increasing his field vision there's usually more than one option out there. He throws the ball exactly where the play calls for a debate without watching the progression of the receivers all in all the first start great presence in com you'll get better. Can't argue with that -- I think -- and that will again come with more experience -- knowing where -- that the -- calls are -- and -- of the -- I think that'll help."

Play from 1:30:12[1:30:12]" And this is more feel thing probably is knowing we're you know went went when it went -- pass rushers are coming in viewers -- there was a pretty rough stretch we get sacked at like three out of four offensive players at one point. In the third quarter and he'll get a sense. -- he'll start getting a feel for. On you know where the rushers are coming from as the course of the game goes on. And that's one thing Brady's outstanding getting you know alluding you know alluding pass -- you might not be the most fleet afloat fleet of foot pass. Passer on the but he didn't get out and you know he can avoid the the -- get a feel for that Cuba I think it was a it was a you know a solid performance in the standpoint of of -- you'll find the open guy on don't rush anything and don't you know -- you know don't don't risk too many throws. On to be fine and that's fine at that told -- Gaby as you know a couple of weeks go want to make a big at this with -- against -- and -- a spot. -- little -- breathing -- coming -- people -- a combination -- And just a little bit of RI can you know these first couple performances like really. Not overload myself and take a look at what was good what was bad and and just patted. Get yourself into good a good way as they get into that the meat of the schedule and on the west coast trip in. Monday night game here in Sunday night in the air and it's going to India is going to be quite right."

Play from 1:31:52[1:31:52]" Then give -- to play you know match -- but earlier -- you have to write all that close -- I would like guys -- finally -- that -- I almost -- you know I can't wait for that that's coming -- yeah so well you'll you'll be probably you don't -- in America in you know it as what has what one week from right now where -- about -- the right yeah it -- and the -- what I -- I in Utah on your -- already -- A week off I need a week off Dan Johnson I don't get a full week off now."

Play from 1:32:25[1:32:25]" Now -- other -- Donald has until losing Moses on a positive Kevin Faulk amazing again LaMont Jordan anymore who rock. Of secondary look good visually Hobbs the front seven amazing and that act by Tom made my day. And in true form the media media who claimed we had no chance rather than give us credit for a good game blamed Mangini like calling."

Play from 1:32:45[1:32:45]" Ran. Well I think there's enough I think there are a lot of editorialize the Doral is -- some blame a man teams play caller especially sure I Yorker yeah sure I'm sure -- boy -- I I didn't hear them talk shows Monday morning it. Pretty. Pretty -- Yeah. Jack -- are the nitpicking is coming from being the most fortunate football fans for the last seven years. We -- so used to this high level of performance that when we become a plain old good team. We -- about. During the blood the -- did we ever see this happening. Will come up on the complain about. No but I mean I think he actually pretty good point during the two days it we see this happening I I think we all hoped that we could progress to the point. Where you know a bullet that might happen that we'd be or it would affect just plain -- good team and on an elite team. Every team tries to be like that but on only about. I think you can enjoy it you know you there was there was certainly enjoy what happened last year at least in the regular season but this is going to be is giving -- different type of you know you're almost back in back -- the underdog feel little then. Non you know I mean players certainly. And I took note of of what was going on last week with the wives and -- that chance. On and all that this is fun this that there are open about this sort of by -- they -- thank. You know. You'll break his role we talked last week about how the team's going to use this -- you know internal motivation I think I don't end there and they're already had one for one advantage definitely it last week via. Ours here is tough to complain about the nit pick on -- Tuesday yours is number one Laurence Maroney. At what point are we going to realize that as much as we hope and -- he's just not getting it done. Sure he is great runs but -- too inconsistent to be reliable he doesn't show the money this year the time he goes the way of Chad Jack -- I don't I I kind of disagree with the and that when Jack I go I -- what you're going. But Percival Chad was a number two pick it was tough enough I'm sure with a team to swallow and and cut him. But Maroney being number one and the fact is I'd I didn't Maroney didn't have talent he has talent he's just not durable but when he's healthy. He's still very good and I think they feel like he can still be useful any nick. But if he's a little feature back like Corey Dillon was of years ago I -- going to camp and you."

Play from 1:35:06[1:35:06]" You're right -- you said earlier they probably don't think they've known that from the get go like this is a talented guy. Maybe eagle you know -- was wrong with your ability but when he stepped in did Corey Dillon here when Dillon left after 6 Bryant's anymore and and and you know. Bryan Seymour did -- to be the backup but not just your normal back and you going to be you know regardless of how the horrible mark Morey was -- was going to be last year. Marsh is gonna play a role I know he obviously got hurt. I'm but I like I definitely think that. That that you're okay with this or. I mean how many how many -- running backs are there without really any kind of back of -- that -- there's a few but even like you know you -- like Willis McGahee in Baltimore he's got back up on you know Willie Parker you know they'd -- Rashard Mendenhall on the first round. Bumper in Rashard Mendenhall when you are happily parker you know pretty hard Mendenhall to overtake Willie Parker you -- because. Two guys in there aren't -- one that is curable it's still you know you -- this other guy down there -- there to replace Matt is just."

Play from 1:36:08[1:36:08]" The business in the LP. As the secondary still allowing too much room although they played their bend but don't break style seemed but it really allowed the -- to get a bit too much movement. I don't really have any problems with the secondary I can I again I write EU what Jack is saying here but I thought Ellis Hobbs and an outstanding day. And I think that Deltha O'Neal is going to be in the other corner. I don't know if that's going to loud you know Wheatley and -- to continue to kind of like progress -- don't get thrown in their but I think finding O'Neal has been me down. It's been about a blessing for the team defensively."

Play from 1:36:41[1:36:41]" Well it certainly hasn't and when you consider the fact that and it surprised me. Terrence Wheatley Jonathan Wilhite had barely played at all defensively right through two weeks. We didn't even dress on Sunday. And that's an interesting wanted to be thinking about going forward because you drafted these two guys in the second in the fourth round Wheatley and Wilhite respectively. And you knew he had no shot and you'll know Randall day. And these guys they brought in the off season it wasn't like they were high caliber players Jason Webster. And Al Lewis Sanders and who would thought that -- would be to -- on to make it to Deltha O'Neal comes in and we know his credentials are. Aram and you wonder on that cut down day in as they -- that first we can use against Kansas City. It's telling us that you know these rookies -- quite ready and I I think Terrence Wheatley was going to start. We went after they cut. The looks like -- and why they cut. I'll go for now over and hit a Bryant who started every pre season game was -- and Bryant. When they cut in a private said. Apparently music and -- Terrence Wheatley is a guy I Deltha O'Neal was okay another one of those while -- The guys off the you know he is a reason why he was cut by Cincinnati maybe he'll be in April Watkins maybe he realized he can't really play anymore. I think Terrence Wheatley would be the annals and -- not to -- he's healthy scratch and we threw. On Italy Deltha O'Neal can step in and and be as you know he's out he's been pretty good heat for two weeks and it's off to a situation to jump into he was done to be cut by -- On and dented the next day be on the practice field for another team -- and more and we need to know for this defense com is a challenge as guys all off and admit. You know a lot of depth the quarterbacks of the dictate what they can get an opponent you can -- like at a great aunt and and maybe it'll just allow. We mean will -- to. You know take their time -- before they're ready to it to separated. The other thing the Jack lance does is quieting of Randy Moss two receptions not the performance -- used to lecture Matt just to get better. Well Moss had it taken away from him more than that didn't go to him and it ain't like I said earlier that one played on the field was a completion and it was more of a of a cap under throw then Amare not not able to catch it. If that's the placement that was what fifty yard that would have been a 57 yarder we what do we we would've been looking and that Randy Moss has performed totally different light. On you know -- make that catch. I think we I think we're going to need a little more of bomb. Little more sample size before we we declare that -- tomorrow isn't going to be productive by unit. On -- I I think we can -- we could very easily foresee. This week against Miami you know -- pine Moss for couple touchdowns in. In all will be perfect in the Randy Moss world on your -- what will. It's not going to be 23 catches and 1500 yards. 23 touchdown catches like it was last year on it probably won't be either will be somewhere in the middle and -- given another more than one week before we declared that. You Brady Moss is he going to -- pass from Matt Cassel I think. I think he'll be able workouts in -- that you were likely to throw few."

Play from 1:39:47[1:39:47]" It just means or does anybody else. And something's bubbling something. Just starting to surface there and I don't all the frustration from loss or disappointment over Brady being out or Horry doesn't have the same or. With Matt Cassel or I did you know and maybe just because we all know all the Randy Moss from the past. Right but does -- think that there is something underline that it just doesn't mean."

Play from 1:40:13[1:40:13]" Quite right yeah I do but you know -- Why should he have the same report Matt Cassel right now but he's been with Tom Brady why shouldn't he be upset I'm hoping that he will develop and whatever he can't before -- Pop if he does the ears right at you hope that rainy mosque who now captain. He's 311 years old we know what his pass was in Minnesota and Oakland that he certainly has he would have the ability and he still does have the ability. To pop off in the frustrated and and let it. Let it show and let it affect his play. I'm willing to give the arena Moss of 2008 more than one week. In more than a couple of little -- we were and I agree with you there're some size huge -- and I feel like on the on the touchdown on the anymore touchdown. Right before that played played with Wes Welker catch right up to the goal line it was almost a touchdown. I think ringing off was open in the and -- waving his arms I think he felt that he was opened. And you know what he probably frustrated after that and and -- you that pat I'm willing to give him more than one week. And a couple of small possible. Notations of frustration before it clear that -- back to the rain impossible it's impossible it is possible. I'm willing to give it'll work. Well I'm hoping that with a little more time somehow they find a way to get in the bull crap back and then I know -- should -- take care and another another benefit the bye week not just Matt Cassel being able to take a deep breath and eighty Matt Cassel Randy Moss. On a bullet to Duke took -- to work some things out of the practice field if they are very. We can practice and we don't get you all practiced but. On even current stretch in one day last week and last week -- in the first week enact castles out there is number one quarterback. You're stretching their role of of the offense which is you know usually some of the captains in the quarterback's. Neck has already marked for their stretching out next to each other and it seemed like communicating and and trying to nature there on the same agent and you just you you you hope that. Both of them realize take this week one. They're not going to have the -- report it Moss had with Brady put you'd you'd think if need be could develop I think they've shown signs that could develop. Indeed there -- some signs of frustration to we gotta we gotta play it will be here."

Play from 1:42:19[1:42:19]" Our friend Irene and campuses John is so good is always to hear your voice at the start of Patriots that's what I say everything in analyzing third and thanks Hatcher think you're a little off topic. I haven't had a chance email before now opens -- right to make a statement to Irene you know that you I believe Irene is one of the few people that I have Juli Noll has been a part of this program eight straight years now is the -- he's -- been here. I remember hers for a bag is a one when we first started the program so if you -- say whatever you like -- trust me on this charter member of the Johnson -- yeah she's charter member. Internally that Tom Brady will not be playing this year the feeling I initially had was like most. Wait until next year we get him back and go from there. Now does that a couple of weeks I have an underdog feeling I had back in 1 the that overlooked and eventually the team just blew me away. It's not that coming from behind is more comfortable but perhaps it's just that I like the expectation that we can always surprise people when they doubt the most. I think that's why I like listening to Rodney Harrison interviews. He usually makes me smile. After last with a video stuff the undefeated season and all the passing receiving records up for grabs a bulletin -- of the season to what the pats. Can come up with just to win each game. -- in all caps and I think she emphasizing that Tina and I -- I enjoy watching the defense play more so than the offense I'm hoping to a lot of Richard Seymour who looks healthy. When -- Thomas along with the new guys in the secondary Deltha O'Neal. And Terrence Wheatley who all seem to be playing well I have no nitpick. I'm just pleased they are two and -- Thanks dominant portal into smart football talk playbook. -- I think though that I think she's beat."

Play from 1:43:59[1:43:59]" Inaudible yeah well well well you know what well worded I thought there and I think you know it when he expectation. Level is lower it. It opens up you know a whole new level of of being able to enjoy what you're going to see because you know if if if they don't. If -- if they have a poor year. Not that they're going to be making excuses but. Hey let's face it they lose the reigning MVP your expectation level is going to be lower around here because they've won Super Bowl three times in the last six years. There's that there's expectation level on regardless of what players are uniform on that's going to be there and can be hard to match on. Number -- take on to a county take into account what happen. You've got a little bit of the underdog mentality you've got a little bit of the you know expectation level lower. And it's going to make you appreciate the wins even more as I think -- what would Irene is trying to say is they'll be more an appreciation level for what this team is able to accomplish this year. Then maybe what they -- last."

Play from 1:44:54[1:44:54]" Perhaps we and earlier in the program for those that may have tuned in late course you can catches on the replay later tonight here on dot com or. Donald podcast can easily do both parties inaudible but a and all the time early in the program talking with them now Harvey Greene whose course the VP senior VP of -- relations -- the Dolphins and you know if he'd if he'd just wasn't for the fact that he worked for one of the enemy can be a great guy yeah he he really is he's very you have I've known Harvey by the way. I met him. In 1984 and we both were for the US Olympic Committee and yet we both -- in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles and we happened to stay at the same dormitory that it put the -- work for that RB and it was right before he went to work for George Steinbrenner and the Yankees that's right he was -- with the Yankees and then now he's -- the golf off for a solid year out pretty much -- years or close to it anyway. At any -- we're talking about that the Dolphins and obviously some of the initial match up and some of the different people in in places with Miami and how it is it a different look in -- organization even though the results certainly haven't shown that on the field. Least 92 weeks anyway. -- in the email. And his guys. I watch the game Arizona and Miami. Is his in Arizona is much improved Miami could not on the ball -- was chased around the back feel a lot was not a good day for the Miami Dolphins don't want -- seniors and that that. This is more of the same or Miami. I have a feeling that. Will we make that same thing on Sunday I don't know why does a kind of Mellon. It is four -- is going to happen then this would be the one -- would have."

Play from 1:46:28[1:46:28]" Well -- not very good right now but when you think about you know the Patriots in 2000 and had a new -- regime change there were dreadful -- right and you know it you know it it's hard to make a one year turn around. On you know you are to clean house they pouring in no par cells they bring in Toronto the general manager Ireland in -- you if you if you confidence you have the right people in place. You kind of give a Mulligan in in year one you hope that there's some progress made an that you discover some good young players on but I I'm with you I think this is a week. Where that did the right combination of catching -- team you know I've early in the season before they can sort of form that identity. -- the Patriots are really kind of on a little bit of a roll right now and you're kind of fired up about there's still going to be fired up about. You know the you know people don't think we can do much in and and it's going to be an athletic earlier they'll they'll play record all your all your -- but you know this as you're you're you're right that the one the one other the one factor that. Navy guy you know you -- and Nady might preclude a capsule route. On putts and Chad Pennington is any kind of all right now. But a lot of times with a team a team like that completely rebuilding. You you're young quarterback with no really played before it's only -- the Patriots will give -- pitcher and he's always had been a pretty solid and Bill Belichick has said many times he said yes here's what we really respect what Chad Pennington do and I don't think that's a hollow lot remark I think they do. I think they feel like Gambia of this guy can can give me an aging team and and won an offense well. They are far better arms out there in the NFL. And these guys were more durable and who have better numbers but Chad Pennington content can get the job that he -- horses right now I'm around him that the rest of that team his -- building."

Play from 1:48:08[1:48:08]" They needed a you know the Ronnie Brown Ricky Williams tandem. They -- to come through big time in an effort you know to force the Patriots solution a secondary. -- provide more run support if they can give Williams and brown Roland that's going to give pennants and more time with the the football they have to have that. So my guess is the Patriots will definitely be looking to stuff the run yeah --"

Play from 1:48:28[1:48:28]" Yet they -- and it -- they've done a decent job of that so far around you know they'd be incredible we're talking about Tom Jones had had his moments on Sunday ended -- red zone he didn't. Last week you know they shut down Larry Johnson. The run defense is doing pretty well so far and I bet that'll continue but right now that that's that they need to be a very young very young now on -- from wide receivers and and you know kind of an offensive line that that. -- out -- that doesn't impress me too much -- on you know that bit of this does have the makings of of of the chance of being -- On you know but -- It's still more all the support of the seasons right 'cause they're catching the Dolphins out of at this stage of there at the right and they -- they they had a winnable game against the Jets on the they almost came back through and they lost they get routed by Arizona on -- is it their psyche probably."

Play from 1:49:16[1:49:16]" Going on the road getting -- on values become the New England -- New -- face a team that wounded in their own right in right it's just it's it sort of a confluence of the different factors that you know expelled naked and -- along day right if of course the Patriots take advantage what they're supposed to take a minute ago exactly and that's -- that's they gotta do -- and in the defense will continue to be part of the price constant problem for. Do you have Brian any other -- general thoughts -- what you've seen in the first couple weeks not only about the Patriots but. You know the one thing that stands up to me I'll give it to your out of the bad year is Buffalo's play news Buffalo has been out standing in the in the from the tape that I've seen of the --"

Play from 1:49:55[1:49:55]" And they've been through team with that had high expectations coming in these two teams Seattle Jacksonville might prove to be frauds but. A piece of the I would bubble is a fraud they're all I'm saying -- St. BB two -- think they beat collegiate teams Neil would have won and is meeting when the seasons stumble seeded Seattle is very good. It will -- Jacksonville is another very enough already what I don't know if that team is is banged up as any team Italy coming into. It is your -- you off your Buffalo -- you're -- point the first two -- hosting -- played Seattle at home and -- Jack -- tough way to start out of those -- it is not -- it is your total very impressed by their quarterback Trent Edwards you gotta be impressed by Marshawn Lynch and it got a solid group of wide receivers -- offense is pretty good and special teams in every series tremendous. And it got a solid even that is going to be a team to watch out at the wild -- team right now I bet the that the team that you've got to figure it has got a shot it they've got a shot -- have a legitimate shot I think of even challenged the Patriots in the divisional credit they -- against New England look what -- like I'm impressed by Tennessee so far too on you know you do all the -- Vince Young for them to -- to know what that would with those issues yeah that's a really good defense maybe Jacksonville. Andy beat Cincinnati on the other Cincinnati is one of the most disappointing about Pittsburgh. You know. I think Pittsburgh is -- pretty solid they weren't lucky the other -- what I didn't into the hiding in the game perhaps the most problem back I'm not impressed by Cleveland I I kind of do was impressive play was a disappointment on the negative -- Corbett you know I mean. I like the jury's out on paper but I kinda think that they have as good as good overall team if they don't have too many. Really. Definitive poll I think that the pretty solid team overall. On an and I think I think they'll be there and yet they're they're they're in the impresses me. Cleveland I I thought from the from the get go on in the offseason that they -- being over rated I think he's you know. I think they've got a lot to prove beyond just one year last year being you know 115 order there were times that are elect me and hoping that San Diego finds a way to win the next two before the play knowing hey you know I don't normally have a little of the -- aren't they want -- over -- or the one and three -- You know what. Tough way to lose a couple of games and obviously we've slipped away -- lost me you know right you might lose one game a year like -- to the first -- salute to her for two weeks last second touchdowns obviously -- happening in Denver with the referee called it the league has already announced that was it was a bad call -- it was a mistaken and and snapping you don't want to be I want to have an avenue but I have been gradually adapt more and I actually felt badly for broccoli I really you know -- seems to be one of the most if not the most expected rough really been around 1819 years yes it is an official. Yeah he has and a are there any better by exceptionally Federer read at -- position -- Gary Macgregor just but I I feel that it might like you said because in real time and a place happening. If he made a mistake. Admit mistakes happen -- and he'd he'd been okay the mistake happened he nickel back in time. By rule he had to do what he did with what he had to have -- bad it was he -- the only -- that he can't do anything about it. All but I like a lot what Philip Rivers and after the game. It shouldn't come out that he's right you know what and I -- he handled scoreboards earlier than Norv Turner -- at a frustration but Philip Rivers that hey you know what. Which take your business before that and -- right you know he he's right on. Yeah you don't want you don't want to go into an old for India or five in my game without much of -- by I don't think about it and we could crime -- I have five games on you know again at that that that the jury is the -- definitely out on that team but on."

Play from 1:53:39[1:53:39]" An emotional -- had his -- I guess yesterday or today. All that on on the used in news and so I've finally kind of curious. Because generally they give injuries with that is it though a few weeks to sort of let the swelling go down before they do that in that's with the doing of Brady's particularly right. They decided to knife right away and merriment the more intriguing -- surgery though I think he's the one that. Pork Charlie Weis is about the yeah but that don't want to build -- mention that earlier I've got it got decked wow that was an Alley. That was painful to watch. That's when he went down he went down I estimating the Embree had surgery to gather yeah just as I recuperate together and act. -- let him. I'd I'd I'd bet I did you know I'd say surgeries done it exactly just you know did the same doctor involved at the same you know -- just read that -- You know there are different stages of their careers they'll rebound -- like I want to be around -- three have a right I don't really have. No I definitely have yet all -- on the cheeseburger right. The rehab schedule might be a little different. But what a tough that's a tough one for Charlie he'll Barrett there but. -- a they -- what -- anything first two weeks as easy as -- and it certainly has not been pouring out my last night's game. He now that that was not ending game to watch and I really want admittedly I've been a long time Cowboys and growing up in Texas you know so. I mean certainly rooting for the Cowboys beat the Eagles the Eagles never liked the Eagles. -- root for a you know I would root for the Redskins of the Eagles put that in the point. At any rate you know I think Dallas is one of the criminally that the top talented teams in the league. Bar none of us offensively obviously last night -- that you know they can be adaptable to look the right thing at the right time defensively but again it's week to. You know I was real impressed with the cowboys' ability to come from behind to take everything that Donovan McNabb threw -- And finally -- Donovan McNabb back to normal and and and I and that only because you know he had his you know injuries -- a couple of years ago and it's taken him a couple of years to get back to being in the kind of McNabb that would used -- and I mentioned -- the program I really believe that's going to be the same thing with Brady yeah I know that's a good point -- similar stages of their careers that they have injury and -- it it was all Carson Palmer as -- and -- I was he'd well he's struggled this but I -- last year you know last -- Carson Palmer had a pretty good year -- right a couple of years removed from his from his."

Play from 1:55:58[1:55:58]" Right and the difference I would radiant both of those other guys Palmer McNabb is with Palmer -- happening in the playoffs of of a certain year McNabb it was November. For Brady if -- gonna have to happen house we want you you can completely emotionally you're going to -- the house weak point that's that's you know. Even if he has a long rehab we should be ready for training he should be and he should be he should be ready for training camp and he should be -- himself over the next few months of rehab and not at. All feel like. Wagon Russian we're going to put a moratorium right now on how I knew the right we're going to put more it's on those questions you may not as Nicklaus until February 10 when I -- until draft draft -- we talk about this classic liberal then okay you can start asking about if they draft the quarterback in the first round next April but you can safely -- houses. -- I'll give him credit -- and -- that's what -- had surgery and and -- not a joke about that but I know -- right by -- idea we -- sock -- around -- was the initial. And -- you know what -- it was good it was a successful -- I think we had a great -- world dot -- Gregg -- yeah it -- usually -- local -- from Massachusetts. It was -- target him a -- like a few -- an -- chimed -- with some questions and and like -- a good week. It's all about it's it's a show for you throw your ideas around -- Talk about that the hot -- what's -- team -- exactly exactly will be right -- 4 o'clock on -- 48 hours from -- on the -- looking forward -- the best thing -- just -- when you're talking -- you know -- for -- by the Patriots -- new material every -- it's never -- new material every weekend -- what's more -- and certainly encourage you -- anyone -- part of the -- in -- every -- which -- which -- a lot of fun -- don't -- for -- He's going to -- these games. He sure does that tell -- I don't know why are -- economy if you do. We we -- a -- we have fun last week belted a futile at Patriots today -- forgot that I could talk about some of the stuff we talked about today did he fanned out all eyes are on the -- and now -- I think I think they're going to step up and embraced the challenge we've got that and I'll have some funds do sometimes and Tuesdays we had -- my some interesting stuff we -- with fans at the home opener last week there were. We're talking about today so why you know if you're here at the game and all of our cameras. Last last Sunday check out today's jokers you might yourself. Move above that and -- always always special so lot. We got a few things cooking and then you know as we as we get to morals are focusing on not Harvey greens Miami Dolphins. You know I gotta admit Harvey is he did you guys -- isn't one of them."

Play from 1:58:45[1:58:45]" Best guys you think working in a book is not jaded.
