On Jack your generic or 10 o'clock you -- On Monday night during that. Fascinating Dallas Philadelphia game and he did on Jack in the rookie or Philadelphia hall and it Donovan McNabb deep ball. And -- ticket all the weights and how celebrate a touchdown in depth. Everybody's. You know jumping on the Eagles bandwagon right there and then all of a sudden all over -- back. It was ruled down because Nike and a bone headed play. The guys he'd he'd drop the football and like go the football football before the goal line so if you're on Jack in. You are too good at that point Q Brian what work on the other hand in hand on one or two plays later he scores your feel pretty good so. Raved about -- on Jack and."

[3:20]" If that's like Duke we'll talk of course as we always try to do about the Patriots and about you know the most recent Patriots game from a football perspective. And the upcoming game from a fantasy football perspective. Talk about them the story lines that we talked about last week and a week later and certainly last week it was all about the quarterbacks. Quartet of quarterback who worked filling in for injured guys in and we're Japanese to their teams and we want to you know what their their -- impact would be. And -- now after one game of a sample size we can we got that -- which ones go forward. Will be the best -- one of them didn't Huard is already out of the starting job -- will limited him we'll talk about Tyler thinkpad is there any chance that it don't seem like I think -- off fairly lousy team overall Kansas City in -- a player this week. So chicken. You're you're gonna get your emails and down and and talked he was well. What start out touches on the Patriots on what to think of -- last week. We did you expect more out of him did you expect touchdowns did you expect yardage I'm. -- you did maybe you were disappointed he didn't throw a touchdown pass he would throw it for a ton of yardage I think that's going to change this week. And if I had Wes Welker on my team I'd be very very excited about what well Wes Welker might do. What degree is going to have a big I think he's going to have more catches that he did last week in the deal or I think -- is a Wes Welker type of game I think he can be that. -- would die down for for Cassel and I think whether receptions are our big of a big score a point in your league. Touchdowns obviously are in yardage I think all three of those are going to be big -- for Wes Welker. Is your chance that -- Watson plays this week. He's not an injury report out of practice and it does. -- immediately stepping in the I -- impact player tied and we talked last week with that Gregg Rosenthal but. How there are a lot of tight ends out there. In the NFL who have great value right now on the we've come to expect others elected not -- Dario wanted John Carlson. Who have kind of come out of nowhere either as rookies or or young guys. Anthony Fasano is another one who have had on our side in the first couple -- season. That they could be at the impact players at tight -- to Benjamin Watson stepped back into that role. He's never been -- distance. On producer both won talk about his impact of the Patriots and in perspective put or touchdowns. And if he does play. I think this this also could you week -- Benjamin Watson eighty David taught. Bench either one of them are against the Dolphins for short. And Fitzgerald after what he did last week I think is definitely. Definitely a strong play. Once again and Arizona going up against Washington. I think he -- he can produce again. What position Wes Welker I I mentioned I just a minute ago what I think of Wes Welker this week I definitely would start him. Tight end Jeremy Shockey you know he's he he's one of the better guys you've gotta you've got to start him in -- to watch. And appalled that he has have a tight end on the bench -- in the house he -- what impact he had last week -- tick off the counters well and accurately where they do I don't know but four field goals not too bad. -- defense special team is Seattle Seattle has been extremely shaky so far. But what do you think is that going to change this week. I think it was a pretty pretty good chance that it does change this week wide. Their -- in the wall for St. Louis Randy you're the Seattle Seahawks and you your pride and want to start then they take that job done this week. Cut the Seattle seahawk defense special teams don't even worry about that they can't get the job done. Hope St. Louis don't worry about it now on the guys bet on minded Tom Brady. We don't know yeah start him but he did days and keeper league lighter and having Brady on your bench. Brett Favre and don't like his chances this week again Diego I don't think he's going to do -- San Diego's desperate. Marvin Harrison not a big fan of him and why so far has your -- love him for keeper league. I'm not sure about this week Darren McFadden has an injury we definitely want to get him in -- out from Jamey Eisenberg soon on on their dad's mother injuries probably. And then Darren Sproles wow what intrigued or is for Darren Sproles actually. If LaDainian Tomlinson. Does -- not an injury issues but overall up all the only the only. -- can that are making the team Jack. Would be would be Darren -- on finding a spot for him but. We're gonna put him on the bench Chris Johnson or Brandon Jacobs I don't think. And you know Moss and Welker I think after the in their health Fitzgerald if you're if you're thinking that maybe -- at Washington. You know maybe won't have to consecutive. Big weeks you don't need be you make Moss Welker to wide outs and imports roles in -- To me I think that a guy like Darren Sproles on. Yeah you'll kick yourself if you -- your bench as a another big week. I'm but I think it's hard to expect to beat me in a row from Darren Sproles unless you know for shore. That LaDainian Tom is not going to play the week and dad and I don't know about that -- on goes -- right I would like McFadden in the team this week. But I can't bring myself to drop either running back or Moss as I think Welker is a lock with Cassel play. Moss if it wasn't against the Dolphins with a big cheer them on bonds hopefully I consider dropping that. On -- I happen to agree on all of the above I think you keep -- I think -- keep Welker and dad and I think McFadden down. You know stays on your bench for the week. That's what I would say right they're all from one to. It's. -- if you think anything differently as you monitor the injuries over the course -- week. On feel free dots and it changes. -- for you to run by me but you don't have to -- on 11 hour weeks so I appreciate you checking in on that. [10:24]" I think they're going very well racked up to a great start myself and Dave Richards might blow look it's football writer here. I got involved with that just. Sort of just felt that the place sort for the Palm Beach -- coveted Dolphins and double open and I thought it was panic -- so I've been happy with it before."

[10:42]" And the expertise that you had as a player obviously came -- good you guys might as well might as well on the great use out of it and and certainly you are. I'll write in some of the topics that that we are talking about today and out and touch on the relate to the Patriots could wrap your New England but certainly around -- One of the major topic last week Tom was at quarterback. For guys -- teams go into week two we're starting different quarterback and they entered week one with. V neck -- Brian Griese game Huard and Kerry Collins and we talked about a little bit last week looking ahead at becoming -- now we have one week behind us. None of them had you know why I -- break -- perform as David Huard is even a quarterback anymore. After one week with some of these guys -- today as the best outlook for fans that overall this coming year."

[11:30]" Well you know I think is best -- the guys you have there you know you're talking about throwing to guys like Randy Moss and Wes Welker. I think what the better games that come from Jabar Gaffney and also when Ben Watson is healthy. I think you know wanted to be very solid obviously he has a great match of this week in Miami. And I think you know that the best way to carrier passing close the case the ball and you know they -- up 33 touchdowns in the last eighteen games. I think all of you guys remember what Randy Moss that against them last year so. You know I think -- have been finalist here -- last week of mark pulled and that that deep ball and you know he wasn't really asked to do a whole lot he was effective from a passing standpoint from an itself in place I think is that if you you'll look at things right. You know factor in Gus Frerotte also going -- go to knowledge of the quarterbacks are -- to stay away from I'd like Harry Kolb did in in the pirates' big and Damon Huard matchup there our accommodations there but the but I think -- is somebody is where he Ghanaian because. There isn't out Minnesota obviously is going to be so concerned with the the running game there with Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor. That would you when he Bernard Berrian start to take it you know effect on on the passing game and and this city right in nice player I think trot but it has to be a decent back -- you know fantasy option where you especially the bye -- coming in the public."

[12:44]" It's certainly were talking about these quarterbacks a big component of it is who their weapons are and I just what the teams are asking them to do and and you bring up with Cassell last week. You know there's really only that one. Deep ball tomorrow and like you at that would change the entire complexion. Really of of how we a lot of -- from a perspective. Last week. How important as you're looking at on the BDD waiver wire pick up and -- throwing even guys like like a Trent Edwards who has been the harder for the first two weeks but. We really haven't realized exactly need you kind of break up for you might have. How important is are the weapons that they have what -- pure wide receiver running decorating the offensive line when you look at these."

[13:24]" I think the weapons you know play if not the biggest factor. Certainly -- part in the -- look at Aaron -- in the situation he's stepped into. You know far. Three years prior to 2007 was really bad quarterbacks from a statistical standpoint. And it obviously Greg Jennings emerges they get James Jones in the draft Donnelly comes out of nowhere at tight -- And they get you know running game support there and even got cats in the -- back killed. And also on department 2007 had a tremendous year Rogers is that for the picks up right where they left off. You know this system will play a part also you know you look at JT O'Sullivan and -- Francisco getting Mike Martz that development coordinator. And you'll see what he'll be able to do throughout the course of the year obviously. The matchups will play a big part of as well but you know look at look at what's going on around the league Matt Hasselbeck I don't think has got notably quarterback for the older receivers get hurt. And all of sudden he's. Playing poorly you know Carson Palmer has -- off but the lines because at this point. And he did get the ball to very good receivers who you know he does have good players around and so it's it's the whole bowl offense itself really -- dictate how player does. But I think you know when you when you're looking at -- for example when he has those two guys rotunda I think at some point you know if it's not this week you know in in the coming weeks. It is going to be drop back and just throw it up close -- Moscow get that most of time you'll."

[14:38]" Exactly and it looks like this week there may be some Mora. Another factor for the Patriots is that running back they have a lot of depth but Laurence Maroney and LaMont Jordan -- into the a question mark because they haven't been. At practice and look at you know CBS sportsline rankings amateur the -- particular you and your partners but Matt Cassel. Number nine going into this week. You have him ranked a quarterback which sounds about right going to Miami but. Boy who would never thought that you know -- we -- we've talked about match at the top ten feet a quarterback in 2008. It pretty into account the -- now you mentioned Matt Hasselbeck and Carson Palmer just a moment ago and I was going to bring them up as well. On the you know we're the enemy is their -- for them. For this year or if you if you were banking on that Hasselbeck or Carson Palmer as your quarterback. How worried you have to be at this point."

[15:29]" Well you have to feel the concern especially with the angles because it seemed like obviously it had a tough you know start this season with that the team that they face you know. Baltimore Tennessee. -- obviously the better -- effectiveness. Again but he this week against the Giants. There is cause for concern you know with when you look at Palmer because that's not -- not a 100% he's not going to be 100% -- the portly -- shoulder. So you know the other receivers they can't use both of his arms. Right exactly be as effectively as you would expect. The off -- the ones not that they can't run the ball this point because Chris Perry is is averaging two point six yards per carry. But they'll have the -- does that at some point we'll get them some confidence you know basically -- quite. You know the those those type of games where they'll be able to that the throw the ball move the ball but I think you'd think Palmer as a number one option and Sherlock every week. I don't think that's going to be there and figure out the back obviously he's going to get some guys back healthy get Bobby Ingram in Deion Branch back at some point. You know they're doing whatever they -- sort of help them at this point bringing in you know retreads like court Robinson in Cary Colbert. I I love -- I think he's going to be great -- and that he he'd grab in the display definitely do because he's probably going to be their lead receiver this year. But you know it's going to be one of those things you know looking at it going into the year we try to -- people you know be careful with these guys because of the injuries to receivers. And because of that unrealistic expectations. Based on what they did a year ago and and throughout their careers. But you know they've they've they've moved from almost sure fire lock the back up and seeing guys like Jake Ballard -- Rivers and -- Aaron Rodgers now go from being drafted back -- The starters."

[17:40]" Well I think he should be concerned you know. That the troubling thing is if you don't own bowl running back you have to take your lineup on Sunday. There's negative he may not play and and I think. You know you're talking about a guy like -- Adrian Peterson is also dealing with an injury you know those guys you'll look likely because unless -- ruled out. You gotta figure they're at a place -- both teams being oh until. You gotta expect that this -- public money nineteen he's going to go out there are doing and try and you know help the team win. Yeah they're they're definitely cause for concern with with with with an injury like this but does this big thing about Thomas's most people are saying I don't know he's losses that -- done. He has more total yards through two games this year it through two games last year the -- sort of pressed on it but I think they'll -- you know he's not going to be. Be lead player that we've come to expect because it's -- nine years old going to a point where running back start to breakdown. He's eight or seasonally you know at the very bad red flag because that that -- the the benchmark when guys start did that where there is coming off. His longest he's never played in the Tennessee game last year so. I think if he'd probably get to the point where you know we'll have that good stretch. Not this week it next week when he gets the play Oakland and in and he -- have a big game there. But there it got sort of service we you know aside I would say you have both guys. Makes you take out whatever -- part of certainly CBS sports dot com -- the latest update before -- Taylor Monday night people make the switch between strolled out."

[19:03]" We'll go in not hanging in California going north a little bit and Oakland we've got Darren McFadden and Justin Fargas we're dealing with injuries what."

[19:10]" Going on their. I think like part of the -- and as the game penalized that groin injury is is pretty bad and I think he Davis a couple weeks. On the Saturday he probably -- this is -- you know it seemed like obviously that's so as -- new injury for running back here. Actually not start McFadden this week high yeah -- had a great game last week. Played really well against a very bad in. -- don't go cross country played Buffalo. And the bill -- as which century guys are well aware of yeah much better this year than they were last year adding Marcus Stroud. Getting problem bluntly I'll be that -- that it that there are only averaging about 92 yards rushing per game. And I think just the property match of the toe injury -- fact the -- good I would say we're expecting backyard of the week on CBS sports."

[19:52]" They got a very interesting point that I don't cross country for some of these rookies and I want to transition to these other rookie running back as well we -- break -- games in that fourth game -- Jonathan Stewart last week on him and and -- what if you look at a repeat of last year every week he strung together you know almost a dozen. Great. A great start. -- how much to get the look at you know sort of the workload for rookie running backs the schedule for running rookie running back. Into the general -- and -- that you might expect from an NFL rookie. And you know I mean sure Matt Forte is the regular starter for Chicago I'm Jonathan Stewart to a little bit of a of a dual role. Com is your waited to it to sort of a general -- awful lot in general with these rookie running back on to nature you don't completely rely -- them or --"

[20:39]" why I think usually eat you talking about some guys that that have proven through two games that they can't be reliable I think -- back on the -- matchups though depending on. On who they are facing and what's been going on with them. Like for example Stewart this week I would use Stewart against the Vikings because like he's ready and it's good you know I don't think you'll see Stewart have to. -- of success that he had last week. Because of this appointed although it probably is very good but effective on the road Minnesota again go into it in in the open hungry and they didn't try -- statement this week. Especially making the quarterback change or they had another thing you know -- and the -- very good against the run. But I like forte this week and -- put -- this first owned Chicago started out the two -- to two games on the road. And so I was still -- in there I would warm expect a little bit but he at any point -- carry -- and you like to see the production. As much for -- and -- on the -- not the big indicator but that the -- that that I think most people are are horrible overlooking -- has been tremendous distressed doctor paglia has been. Fantastic this year and I think that's going to continue he's really can't Wendell on the bench. You know he'd like to into the -- but -- you'd go to bigger back when they get portable. In quite so I think Dotson another and I let another great match of this week. And it the guys that -- ought to be pretty close in terms of their production nobody. Probably mid point is he's in let me do I'm sorry I think Johnson -- this week against the Texans sort of himself little bit of -- that. He's going to be a guy keep throughout the course -- because -- smaller back you know we'll be -- to -- the pounding. Throughout the course so hopeful either but so arsenal that he planned that Reggie Bush type of of role as the ball backfield I think he could be better but whether --"

[22:14]" Little League very -- there it and we talk about wide receivers now forbid I'm Brandon Marshall who had just an enormous game here today on after a one week gaps and and I used number two when your list of wide receivers. Opposite is more -- I think off the field as well. And then you got as he met who missed the first two weeks. I'm of the season and is back joining or rejoining at -- Carolina team that is -- in my early on. Those two guys what are your thoughts and those two guys as it right now Brandon Marshall."

[22:42]" You know -- with Marshall obviously elated situation I think. At worst case -- going to go to trial maybe November December. So he may have to miss some time -- any -- and as a result of the electorate -- results you know in November December Jimenez and it the last couple weeks but that's just purely speculation. You know I think when you look at Marshall he has yet to be the best receiver in the NFL you know that decided -- had -- been there that's out there. He -- come back from from a a one game suspension any -- lenient on receptions. So you know I don't the count eighteen catches for a 166 yards in the test done every week. But he is going to be candidates for under plus gadget to be over a thousand yards in the B adult that it touchdown. -- color to me is you know emerging as one of the best if not the best quarterback in the all right now with the injury to Brady with Peyton Manning struggles. You know I think he's in net in a conversation now with with Drew Brees and Tony Romo and he can continue to play like that obvious. The play like this obviously with the development of partially in the great. We knew what it's meant you know we don't know that we were going to get from him but Carolina's two and now they're going this situation -- and have to broke. And you gotta figure Smith is going to be in line for the games I think if you haven't stardom. He definite start mark."

[23:48]" Sure how many in football owners Monday night around 10 o'clock eastern time. Fell to the ground and -- on Jack in. Drop that ball or play that ball to the ground actually. Morning any chances for a seven yard touchdown or whatever what you don't have the John Jackson when -- here."

I doubt as well as something apathy and doubt whatever they've played there. Keep what happened. And -- this time was the beneficiary of that plus it's it's interesting because you know if you keep -- get a little bit and with Westbrook but obviously. The difference being Westbrook was just doing. Westbrook where people -- when Westbrook owners. Right -- taxes stupid. Apple well that's -- got -- in the past them there. I think -- be a great player but he made it like that right right."

[24:50]" I'd like before let's go let's talk about tight ends a little bit because number 11 of the topics we have last week first first -- year one were tight but tight ends and how really it is it a deep group this year and and you can certainly if you don't have one of the top guys like Whitner -- you can certainly get by. With -- these guys that are maybe a little -- down on the list down and guys who've broken out -- like Anthony Fasano and now we are what dot -- Dario didn't -- and we want what are your thoughts at the tight end position and how deep it is an import you guys if you lowered down on the list. -- that you had your eye on as you the waiver pick -- are guys who wise or are ready to break out."

[25:26]" You know it is seamless access spoke to Jason Witten last week and I just finish right on the -- to be -- tomorrow about it and you know I think you can look at some of these guys like Tony Scheffler that -- start that he he's off to he's somebody that we targeted as a breakout player. A little bit of concern coming into the year because of all the talk about him being benched for Nate Jackson and then he comes out you know I think it was more motivational ploy by Shanahan. To sort of set the bar for what you what can do I think he's living up to it John -- another guy just because of the lack of receiving help that Matt -- back that game getting -- I think that Carlson can be very good this year. I like -- date a lot I think he's in line to have a very it's easy on the little bit concerned now. Because distractions that they'll be dealing with the Hurricanes I can not the -- have a home game for the rest this season. I could throw off what detectives are able to do but I think you know being -- Really the number two receiving target for the Texans aren't under Johnson you know you mentioned at it as our allies you know really disappointed what he did we do. Especially coming off as we want performance but I think we'll get back on track because that. You know you -- watching Chad thank god and country after the last couple yeah he doesn't throw the ball outside -- over the bills field. An Odyssey that favored the -- I think Fasano will be good you know I I I like Dustin Keller he's nice young player and I think once. He gets on the field we get enough playing time in the stopped using guys like you know -- Chris Baker and publicized yet you know I think that that -- can make some strides as well in. In the public he would yes offer billions he."

[26:49]" what -- University of Florida right at the all time passed the football player. If the football player commodity of Clark out. Date. It. Who's this current NFL player. Florida for what. -- his -- ego that's -- and thought about him absolutely well we thought around here that -- Chad Jackson would be I think physical Paula an an actual football lot -- And that he know what's happened there and maybe -- or somewhere else but he was a guy from Florida that. You don't want that that line of Florida wide receivers know we have Jabar Gaffney around here in and had Reche Caldwell wouldn't have a bad year is once he's here but. On some of those Florida wide out and I haven't. Haven't exactly panned out again."

[27:33]" Yea gotta figure that. And he did exactly to play with Tom Brady -- make something -- at this point."
