Play from 1:00[1:00]" Good afternoon. I had the hall I'm Bryan Morry Andre Tippett will be with a momentarily. As we go arrival as we do each and every Tuesday at 4 o'clock on Patriots dot com radio com. Good week good first week over at the pick a hall at Patriot play presented irate over 3300 people. Came in the building last week the feedback has been unbelievable. Hope you wore one of those are 300. Makes very calm down ES. And give us your feedback. I think that's the big thing I try to go through the building and at of people feedback I think that when you. That on way to get better we want our -- come through. And tell what they like and more importantly tell that they don't like. And that Powell continued to improve the hall at Patriot place present by Raytheon and make it ability that fans. Can and will be proud of as I think more that have come through now are of course I could have. A friend of mine who tech -- me. During the Miami Dolphins game. Which unfortunately. I did not put an exclamation point. On the end of Hall of Fame weekend but tech and I meet during the game and said it's a good thing the hall is now open that we can remember we were good football. I proceeded to reply to him and on the he was the -- of the Patriots and as that end medium tickled but. I know most fans are not like he is -- we expect him mostly down at the hall again I think you gotta love it. Had great feedback on that your film which is I think one of the highlight. All of the of the hall -- fifteen minute film detailing. Not just. I'm in Patriots history and all the near miss culminating. With the championship in 2001. But all of connecting the fan and the region to the football team. And then. It in writing film I think that kind of thing that brings chills. The feedback been great with had fans applauding in the theater at a conclusion. And then there are -- number other. Things that and have have really enjoyed. That type green in the technology I think that. I think people are fascinated by the -- out we'd love going down there on the second level kicking field goals. From 45 yards and two point three yards. The game tying game winning kicks. In noble. Back in 2002. The interactive they been very popular as well though. It is bad and I think people have had a lot of fun down there and organic having been down. Come down -- it might -- price ten dollars for adults. Seven dollars seniors and -- 95 dollars for kids if you under five is free and you know it it it is a great. Value. I think for your money. And I can it come on down. And he has broken ten to five right now during the week and then on Saturday tend to have an on and I am Bryan Morry. It we are in I -- hall awaiting Andre Tippett arrival. And how tough game against Miami coming off a bye week now the picture we'll go to Africa go. And we had a -- on a little bit about the bye week. Last week show he did experience -- many of them. As a player who retired in 1994. But. I think the players clearly lot of the Patriots probably needed it. As badly as anybody despite the fact that it's only -- war of the -- only for the season. Given what happened and we -- with the law Tom Brady I think adding. On the by having the bye week this time when when you really trying to transition at quarterback who thrown into the fire. Is. Navy is very helpful at this point and looking at the way and act capsules played I think he has struggled at times moved the football team and certainly put points on the board. As we mention that John rook and Eric. You know this prolific offense last year and I simply taking away a quarterback. You expected. All much of the author of -- fact that the way defenses play you you've affected the way the play that you can call. Com you know all the way that they doing going to cover it. The way they can -- and the running game you know I think when he had no. You going to be more could Everett -- it allows and that the and he differently winning all you know maybe not going to throw the ball to their box on the field. It allows them to defend you differently the Patriots are in transition. For a lot of people say."

Play from 5:53[5:53]" Well going to find out what Bill Belichick made of."

Play from 5:56[5:56]" I laugh at that even a valid I laugh at I think it hurt. I don't think Bill Belichick broken down here and you that he won Super Bowl I'm self Norwood Tom Brady."

Play from 6:08[6:08]" The Patriots -- fortunate enough to have a one of the greatest coach of all time and one of the greatest quarterback of all time. And Bill Belichick. People in the forget 2001. When he took what Ron wolf what's the Packers GM. Back at the time. He called a waiver wire team and went to a Super Bowl title now Tom Brady obvious what the quarterback of that team."

Play from 6:30[6:30]" But that was not Tom Brady that we see now it was much close to the -- cat that we now now. I'm not going to -- and make -- ridiculous comparison between Matt Cassel and Tom Brady LB on there. To both guys. But let's not remember let's not forget rather that. Back in."

Play from 6:50[6:50]" 2001. Tom Brady was not that Tom Brady that we see today he was much more could there but it. Quarterback he was the guy that they accused of just -- in dunking and throwing horizontal pass but he made the games well. He showed great leadership and what he showed was inability of the."

Play from 7:11[7:11]" Here at his best in the clock. We haven't seen that at all or perform that way."

Play from 7:18[7:18]" In those situations. You know he started two games."

Play from 7:22[7:22]" He he's one and one daughter and one can regain Tom Brady went out so early. So you had. Cassell and after that. I beat Brett Favre and the jet."

Play from 7:33[7:33]" And then struggled against Miami obviously ironically enough Tom Brady in his second start which was in Miami. All played miserably. And they blow out of the Dolphins although -- a little bit different Patriots team back then. And a little bit different Dolphin team back and so again I want to make them not trying to compare that to. But I think that when you look at situation. That that that -- is coming to. With a much more with the car has a lot more pressure on him now. That being in and be productive. We go back to of one Tom Brady came on to a team that you want to the field when it was only do."

Play from 8:12[8:12]" On coming off of five and eleven season. Expectations were virtually nil. And he was not expected comedians. And could see some sort of dominant that it and in place. On Matt Cassel and completely different situation. Having not started a game high school."

Play from 8:31[8:31]" And being thrown into being thrust into the starting job I've seen -- went eighteen and analyze -- eighteen and one."

Play from 8:39[8:39]" And court I -- in my point oh it's a tough situation expectations very different the pressure is very different and we're going to almanac -- I think the bye week as I mentioned."

Play from 8:53[8:53]" Top Cubs are very good time to give him a couple weeks -- as the daughter. I actually last week with no gain to prepare for this week they will be working to go last week luxury had a chance to work a lot of different things. Having one key is going to be. Being able to throw the ball down the field and make big plays a rainy mosque and crossed the loss to make some plays. I think -- a little bit of frustration in the Miami game from rainy -- And we didn't last year adding that a brush he was -- with currently before he arrived here in New England. But playing with Tom Brady we never witnessed anything like that you -- play in the Miami game where he kind of pulled his arms down a ball that. Then could've been at -- because. Why he did do that. It was kind of -- on -- but that being said he was going to get -- on the plane and I think. He can get easily frustrated by situationally. He -- that in the period quarterback and therefore is able to. Performed the way he wants to perform and be in situations that he want to be. I'll be very tough for him to handle we on Oakland. Much more -- an obvious that we did in in -- when he was that the Vikings. And I think there's going to be times when Matt Cassel is going to have to -- trust Randy Moss can make up like. Certainly Daunte Culpepper in Minnesota. Did that money when he threw the ball and let Moscow getting. Tom Brady did a couple times last year. Heck in the Miami game down in Miami last year he Kubel and only Randy Moss was essentially double covered and loss came down -- There are times when he's going to have to let his guys make plays for him."

Play from 10:44[10:44]" And not like they're going."

Play from 10:46[10:46]" That the problem I think we're seeing with the offense and the stagnation of the off to a certain degree granted again it's only event I haven't scored twenty point. Inning game just yet after being. The highest scoring team in NFL history last year is that. Because of the inexperience Matt Cassel he's with right now. It's things like not to making your reads and being on the same page is -- but it. I can't -- where -- coming from identifying. Blitz situation. And being able to -- communicate with what you were."

Play from 11:23[11:23]" I'm breaking off -- and being on the same page with them in those situations. That tough thing. I've heard a lot of people talk about the lack of protection. That -- Cassel is -- the last couple weeks."

Play from 11:37[11:37]" And I think that a lot of that a product. He not maybe being able to identify. What the defense is showing as easily as Tom Brady guys with. You know -- many years of experience under his belt."

Play from 11:51[11:51]" And also being able to then I just pass protection. So that he's not taking a hit that he does have time it back there."

Play from 12:00[12:00]" I think that is that a major strength. Of Tom Brady. Tell."

Play from 12:06[12:06]" Lot of things going on what that. When Andre comes down able getting them that would Andre. And thing happening over at the hall at Patriot place presented by rate -- after all the in -- all."

Play from 12:17[12:17]" Without Andre Tippett and Bryan Morry although on Andre Tippett right now."

Play from 12:23[12:23]" 88. Totally Patriots."

Play from 12:26[12:26]" Over -- halt today for the first time -- we're going to do each and every Tuesday at the hall. Totally Patriots being the show produced by the crap board. Kraft sports productions. Are geared toward teenagers film -- alive. High school studio audience. Any Patriot player on -- to happen so it's of the Shell hit it over at the hall. And the -- for the Art Shell was not rather than head coach Bill Belichick. Wait I was treat for the kid. At ba in English high school that made it to the audience that Shell and a treat for the for the guess alcohol."

Play from 13:07[13:07]" In other came into the hall just come visit the building. And had the opportunity he. Bill Belichick in the building while there while they were there so that was -- extremely Kitna it was I think L. When you come down to pick your place you never know what you're going to last week. I Troy Brown toward the building. I'm with -- on. After he announced his retirement at a press conference he walked over and went through the hall of kids. I'm in high school football team in there at that time and they were just. And the hammered by the fact that. You know mr. Patriot Troy Brown. What in the building. And that's another thing it will talked on me about Troy Brown and his career because I think. All Patriot and agree that Troy Brown could be done mr. Patriot. Do it all kind of guy. The kind of -- that New England this love because he gets every -- ability and talent. And always find a way to make -- play and break that tackle to get the yard. As a player I think he was greatly appreciated his career there's no doubt about that I've never heard. Any fan or media member Chris I Troy Brown in any way it would pretty unique in the market. Our regardless of how the team was performing on the field and in the inning. Troy Brown always. Were you praise from fans and media alike and well deserved he will be -- in New England. But I'm sure he'll he'll be around but we'll get some perspective from Andrei. When he comes down. And the other the we get a second at the go to of the Shell in the hall today which posted by Kerry Connolly violation -- And Ravens front came in as as the -- with. Norton high school in for that episode for that taping of totally Patriot. And -- they're really great. At fear for the kids they get to do QNA in the show with a player and ask questions of the player. But for the fans coming in at a pretty unique experience with crap -- in there all add up for the taping with their cameras and and lighting in in you know host the show we had a Barrett off the fans can come right -- we're going to school groups and on Tuesday and even the kids appealed it. And watch taping of the show it pretty unique opportunity he'll. You know Tuesday. Not always the busy day. And so you know if you if you're looking to avoid navy's huge crowds that we got on the weekend. That by the agreed to come down. And get a unique experience watching though maybe you player come in the hall. I think that's always an exciting draw. Wilfork was in the building last night because he did help us with one of the exhibit called my -- out. Where he's -- you can get on the -- and many kids they -- in his way. On and -- You know Vince came in check out that exhibit his wife was in last week with a with a few kids -- The players that I think really coming over and getting a feel for all the enjoyment they can have with their families at the hall Patriot place. Presented irate -- and that. The partnership with the Raytheon. Has been extraordinary. And and one of the areas and one of the reasons that rate and wanted to be involved in the project typing -- different contractor. Is because they do have a big could -- about. Being involved in the community they really. Have made great effort to beat community company. -- with him pay here now in Waltham. And not only just be involved in the community but being involved in the education of the community the ethically -- time and we have this great. Great game. That took awhile to -- you always you know was there -- many ideas pitched around the war we all finalize -- agreement. To come up with. An interactive game show called in the numbers which part of the -- we -- for the command and compete against each other and see that. The football really -- math and science we have multiple choice questions -- come up in and three players complain pat Patriot the whole. And John work is actually the voice of the you know the I guess he's not the whole of the Elbe. The big boys of the of the game though it particularly -- you know it really is Johnny Johnny -- we just heard on Patriots dot com radio and the game has been incredibly popular adult coming in cool groups coming in being required to. Everyone that comes in the hall plane you hear people talking trash you hear people laughing that they're not -- that a fifth grader. It's been a lot of fun for people -- Sometimes when you when you plan day you. And museum exhibit and believe me on -- the people that that can leave the idea for the hall. -- much Marta and I -- and they -- and on and job but when you do that you are you try to think like a man think what people are alike but you know one will. You know what you never mil. What's going to be popular and what's not going to be popular and what you think is obvious and and what. The public. Think not obvious or they tell you what actions were not obvious that it in the first week plus and a great learning experience. For our -- at the hall at Patriot place and it -- yeah but. In other Raytheon. In the numbers. Math and signed game has been remarkably popular though than a nice surprise that people. Really do get involved that they want to compete they want to have on that. And the -- well obviously in the kids and that's killed there in groups. And played -- As well -- Another popular area in the hall has been on New England football that we had with high school football team in last week. And they love that -- hobbled with the the 2007 high school Super Bowl champion jerseys on the wall from all over New England. And you know they -- here in the early going and they were cited. About injuries up on the wall. And hopeful that there would be out there and and eight I think it another element of the hall that connect to the community. And -- high school. And kids. In the drive for not only will you get to play at Gillette Stadium if you're in east and that is capable. He'll have the opportunity. To have your Jersey hanging on the wall of champions within the hole and be part of an edit. At the hall at Patriot place. -- Andre Tippett should be joining us pretty soon I'll take a quick break we come back hopefully on you we will. And now we'll talk a little bit more about maybe Troy Brown's career and all of this week's game against -- 49 they went."

Play from 20:57[20:57]" Q double catering had a good to beat for a hot potato nuts or -- very far did you dedicating and give them food I'll never forget let me get -- letting -- get back."

Play from 21:05[21:05]" Big games mean big parties -- twenty or more of your friends with a Q -- hot -- not Jordan naked burrito bar from you go with catering -- price in budget friendly now with sixteen Massachusetts two occasions opening September Patriot place and get more square hole manual available -- dot com."

Play from 21:25[21:25]" Okay this tall fighter John Hannah here every -- about the game would break. Have you ever wonder what former football player talk about when we're watching the game. Well now you can find out for yourself of the game with the grates on October 5 excellence thing. We have not reported him as a missing person yet. But. -- Andre yet. Troy Brown you know I gotta tie and then as someone who. Covered this team starting in 1990 -- it certainly doesn't make me. You know one of the long term guys that covered team mica a Kevin manic or run -- in our Carlo Amelio. And guys have been around. Or around from the the and they'll just recently. You know I won't. Here pretend to know about every receiver. That's ever come through New England but. I think you'd be hard pressed to find many guys but performance. Can utley and gave the effort. The Troy Brown it for the amount of time -- and a guy that. Exhibited team or football. All the time. A guy who fought for his NFL career. Early on after being cut. Certainly not a no brainer and eighth round pick back in 1993. And in the draft class with. Guys like Drew Bledsoe. And Chris Lee and many of other teams that draft hear a second bomb but. You know Troy Brown sort of an afterthought. -- back in 1993 when you look at that draft Drew Bledsoe Chris laid. Todd Ritchie Vincent Bruschi. Kevin -- Corwin brown Scott and Richard -- Lawrence catch Troy Brown the last pick. For the Patriots in that draft 198. Overall back in 1983. And he was the longest tenured Patriot. All of that class. In fact I think if you go to nine before he -- and everybody from the 94 draft class as well. The 95 draft class as well and it's pretty remarkable it Ty Law Ted Joan Curtis Martin Jimmy Hitchcock the wall above. Guys that had pretty good careers here Willie McGinest. Kevin Lee John Burke max lane. I'm Marty Moore. -- 96 -- Terry Glenn lawyer Malloy Tedy Bruschi. He curling Chris all of and you know I mean -- ninety -- Chris Canty Brandon Mitchell that are all I'm not exactly draft to be proud of 98. None of those players -- left. 99. Kevin fault the only player left. You -- Troy Brown was drafted in the eighth round of 1993. And the only player. From the draft."

Play from 26:32[26:32]" In 1999 the only player. That outlast it. Troy Brown. Were Kevin Faulk and Tedy Bruschi. And then you can even -- 2000 and -- Matt Light."

Play from 26:45[26:45]" And Tom Brady to that mix but it's it's remarkable that a guy like that under sized."

Play from 26:52[26:52]" Not really guy with tremendous speed doesn't have the miserables you look for in or -- just an all out effort guy who. Does on the field. And not just with -- but did have. Talent that maybe. Not buy out. You know you always got talk about the draft being an exact line there are countless examples of that. But Troy Browns -- should be right now because people miss on Troy Brown. And he emerged in you. And out inning player and when he announced his retirement of the day I may or to go to the press conference because. As a media person you know he is supposed to be unbiased and whatever and I have to tell -- that Troy Brown was my favorite Patriot and not because. Play from 29:22[29:22]" And whatnot but his on got to go through and maybe he some of the things."

Play from 29:28[29:28]" That he was probably too young at the time -- on the things that his father did and under and maybe a little bit about."

Play from 29:37[29:37]" How great Troy Brown was in new England and as a Patriot."

Play from 29:42[29:42]" And when we got down to the Hall of Fame action. We have the trophy I that we need to the players on Hall of Fame induction weekend."

Play from 29:50[29:50]" And I called the kids of my head. Your dad will have this in four years. Because I have absolutely. No doubt in my mind that Troy Brown will be able landslide winner among fan voting. In four years when he becomes eligible to be inducted into the hall pay you play it by Raytheon. It -- again it was a remarkable career. For Troy Brown he's the all time leading with exceptions leader in Patriots history with. When you think back too early in his career when he was more -- relates -- special teams player. That makes that record even more remarkable. If -- go back in 1993. His rookie season. And look at catches. Two for 22 yard as a rookie."

Play from 30:37[30:37]" I'm 1994."

Play from 30:41[30:41]" During a pennant playoff season. Troy Brown did not record -- fact maybe he would he apparently played a couple games that season."

Play from 30:51[30:51]" I'm 1995. Troy Brown. "

Play from 30:55[30:55]" Fourteen catches for a 159 yards. No touchdowns. Through the first three years -- his career. God had been up. Ninety. Troy Brown started to emerge but very little I think that when people remember a guy his her great moment in a Patriots uniform perhaps. As Erick --"

Play from 31:15[31:15]" Not as a player as --"

Play from 31:18[31:18]" When he made that you'd. Third down -- fourth count Kenny remember now but. Lying on his back. At the meadowlands. To convert a critical first down. In -- game the Patriots needed a winning your first round bye in the 1990 playoff. Troy Brown made that remarkable catch against the giant in a comeback victory. When the Patriots. Trailed 22 to nothing and rally to win 2322. He's me thanks in part. That catch by Troy Brown. 97 under Pete Carroll. Started to emerge a little bit more 41 Texas a 107 yard. Touchdown. So. You saw him become a regular part of the offense. -- scored his first cut down as a receiver that season he was the third leading receiver behind Ben Coates."

Play from 32:12[32:12]" And Shawn Jefferson Terry Glenn spent much of that he's -- on the sideline with injuries."

Play from 32:17[32:17]" But he packed -- Brees be on the depth chart. And really became the slot or Seaver."

Play from 32:23[32:23]" On the offense and got significant playing time when England went out of the lineup and he became a starter. And then it just emerged from in 98."

Play from 32:34[32:34]" 23 -- not a great season with Terry Glenn back in the -- I think Pete Carroll has kept. You know. Going with the guys that he thought had this huge big play ability. Guys -- guys like Brian lights on -- him it's like Troy Brown always had to. Somebody. That he can do he always no matter what he did on the field matter how many plays he made there was always some doubt because he didn't have the measurable. And when you commit to a guy like that. When you're drafting first round pick signing treated the play that position as a coach. You know. And certainly Pete Carroll. Maybe feel the most job security. As things sort of spiraled downward for him."

Play from 33:23[33:23]" I think maybe natural for him and I am going to go with the guys that I think management wants me to go with."

Play from 33:30[33:30]" And Troy Brown isn't a major player. But certainly Troy Brown was being held back and it wasn't really until Bill Belichick arrived that Troy Brown emerged -- out. 83 were at 944. Yards 2001. A franchise record 101 --"

Play from 33:50[33:50]" 1200 yards five touchdowns."

Play from 33:53[33:53]" 2002. 97 -- 809 EI mean he just put together an amazing in 1983. He dropped down to forty catches during a fourteen and two season but that was because the Patriots were such a diverse offense. Deion Branch of the Evan led the team -- all 48 Troy Brown forty Daniel Graham 38 David Givens 34 Christian Fauria twenty."

Play from 34:19[34:19]" Larry managed nineteen Bethel Johnson Eckstein and talk with fourteen. And that's 12345. Out of 89 players in double digit that oh. As the team improved. Troy wasn't relied upon as heavily but still make great plays and that I believe what he's been down in Miami."

Play from 34:40[34:40]" Where the Patriots won. In overtime."

Play from 34:44[34:44]" Against the Dolphins nineteen to thirteen."

Play from 34:46[34:46]" When Troy made an 82 yard. We're up in in overtime to win that football game in the long reception of his career and played many people around this building. Certainly talk about and a player that is. Forever remembered in the hall at Patriot plays we actually have. In one of the intro panels to an exhibit. The the in the moment exhibit. We have Troy Brown and molded. Catching a football nickel plated him. And there's a graphic at that Joe Torre making the catch in the Miami team to win that football game is a quote from trial on the panel on all. Well I'm really glad now. That Troy got come through in the a lot of that stuff and it it's a tremendous plan."

Play from 35:34[35:34]" A player like that emerges the way he did and it really a sad day win."

Play from 35:40[35:40]" He walked away I'm I'm glad that he turned down another opportunity in his career. And remained a Patriot for his entire career you know that a couple of years ago he hit -- he had a change goes on with New Orleans for more money."

Play from 35:55[35:55]" And took my day here."

Play from 35:58[35:58]" This is home he felt maybe there was more marketing opportunities here in New England that he would be just another guy in the world."

Play from 36:06[36:06]" Pretty smart decision on his part."

Play from 36:09[36:09]" You know I think that -- understood that his marketability. Out -- football is here in New England which he is adored by Patriots fans yours truly included L. I I just want to say that it was a pleasure to watch Troy Brown play football and if you want to and your email in about Roy. I'd be happy to read them web radio at Patriots dot com com. You know again I'm sure the guys earlier today on PFW in progress talked about it a little bit John brook probably talked about it with Eric. But if you want to emails about Troy Brown please do web radio -- Patriots dot com and it Tippett ever shows up getting very active on Troy. Now this week. On early on Tuesday for five on inside the whole. To get a little bit of a quick take as we wind down here in my -- it. About the we scheme against 49ers. Com. One of the things I can't stand and being a fan and -- media member is always here make declarations about your --"

Play from 37:17[37:17]" Or lack there of of your schedule heading into the season."

Play from 37:21[37:21]" And you know Bill Belichick often get critics' eyes. The way he deals that the media people -- top ask certain questions they ask the question about schedule. And bill would give -- cliche answer that we don't make the schedule -- play at."

Play from 37:35[37:35]" When they tell us the -- eight home eight away like everybody else and we'll oh okay. And the reason to comment on things because."

Play from 37:46[37:46]" you never know who's going to be good from year to year we've seen enough examples and our team go from -- 1212 and four or. In the case of the Patriots in 2005. And 111152001."

Play from 38:00[38:00]" We would that right here -- here and look at the schedule and they strength or weakness of that schedule based on the previous season is."

Play from 38:07[38:07]" Foolish and we should go back. Okay that being said he also don't know who's going to get hurt from year to year. You know. I'm sure people look at their schedule until the Miami Dolphins looked at their schedule the fans before the season started and chalked up week three as a law. They're coming to -- broke the Patriot killed them last year Tom Brady the best quarterback in the league this was the most prolific offense in the league they were eighteen and one a year ago. They are going to kill us actually when Miami goes up in New England -- and you haven't been pounded in Arizona by the Cardinals. I mean they had no reason to expect that their team come appear before the start he's at and win this game well what Tom Brady's start. They change. Going to look at strength of schedule -- or lack thereof is -- now. The Patriots go out and go this weekend. It's -- west coast road trip. I believe -- leaving for the game on Friday which today earlier than they typically do and I can tell you that football teams and players are. And -- for them to go out Friday. This and of their routine they will then spend an entire week on the west coast. Because they have back to back games on the west coast after playing at -- and Diego where they'll play the Chargers. Now have they spent a week away preparing for game before. Absolutely fortunately they have a number of guys that -- of bubbles on the roster. You know as as recently as last and that have gone on the road for a week to prepare for a game. But you gotta be playing a tough Chargers team that he's revenge minded after you eight. -- beat the daylights out of them last year during the regular season early on. Beat knocked them out of the playoffs last year with their Super Bowl berth on the line he knocked him out of the playoff at. -- the year before when you -- Victory from the jaws of defeat thank you none other than the aforementioned. Troy Brown. Who. Strict I'm Marlon McCree after an exception in a game we all remember a doubt the Patriots advance to the AFC championship game in 2006 in the Indianapolis -- Oh we never know and for the Patriots -- going out have a go right now struggling on offense. I'm struggling ninety -- or at least coming -- the game which they were terrible on the fan for one week. And I played very well against Brett Favre and Jack. On an offense that they know how to put up fifty last week with -- throwing a touchdown pass. A -- game cardinal team that beat the heck out of Miami Dolphins. You'd never know from week to week you never know who's going to play better on Sunday. You know I had a friend say to me that last week law in the Dolphins would have resounding impact but it was a sign of things that come."

Play from 41:03[41:03]" It's I -- it doesn't work. Every week is different from the week before. And I think you have to do is look around. The league and -- did anyone think the Kansas City Chiefs could beat the Denver Broncos nevermind by two. I mean that's even young inexperienced. And not very good employee the -- that looked good they beat the charges."

Play from 41:31[41:31]" They were what 23 you know go to a game."

Play from 41:34[41:34]" And yet."

Play from 41:35[41:35]" The Kansas -- he pop by to talk to you never know from week to week. What. Will guys come to play with the same level intensity you know I think that should be a no brainer we even think. On -- on the radio only play one game we come right up like. But for some reason human nature being what it is maybe. Guys don't always have on a day that's the only thing I can pick up for that Miami game he had a performance that our guys that didn't happen."

Play from 42:07[42:07]" It was a bad performance I have to suck it up at otherwise."

Play from 42:11[42:11]" You know you have to agree that maybe. It is a sign of things that -- I don't happen to believe that. I think that you've had a couple of good defense games and one really bad defense game if it becomes a trend. Obviously then it is what it is. I don't think that it will become -- ran the Patriots will play better defensively this -- you have to go but that doesn't guarantee anything mean they."

Play from 42:36[42:36]" Have to put points on the board that the move the ball I catch on the ball over and put that defense in difficult. That's going to be critical moments don't put -- dependant on a short field you don't have that -- the quarterback the proven quarterback that can lead comebacks are now. Maybe ten. But not he hasn't yet he hasn't had. An opportunity maybe to lead a league -- come back. Last week the game sort it was over in the fourth quarter."

Play from 43:06[43:06]" We don't know if an unknown whether Metcalf and yeah."

Play from 43:10[43:10]" a little more pressure on the defense played better and a little more important on the offense and the quarterback to take care of the football. Made it to the game well and not what you -- an awkward position. That has to be their formula for us right now and -- Matt Cassel start to develop a little bit or until."

Play from 43:28[43:28]" Bill Belichick -- OK maybe backed -- not the guy."

Play from 43:33[43:33]" I don't think that that's going to happen Matt Cassel quarterback the team for the rest and I think he will continue to improve. I think bill ballots are probably feel as a firm grasp of the offense."

Play from 43:44[43:44]" But -- as head."

Play from 43:45[43:45]" I'm being able to do on the practice field and being able to carry that over -- game and help your team wins football games and let me you know we always talk about. It being a team team and certainly it is and you with a team you lose the team. But the number ones out of the quarterback do we -- to manage your game and went and people always say that the quarterback much credit and too much blame. I don't LEI agree with why do agree that team sport and that I don't care how would you quarterback is if that's all you have. You're not going to win a championship you're not going to win in the playoffs when the going gets tough you may get the playoff with a great quarterback sub par. Supporting cast. You can argue that they have done that in the past and Tom Brady. You not going to get very far with it on. Dole. You know I think that the whole. Element of the quarterback getting on the plane and -- much credit. He -- A -- at his job to lead the offense put points on the board when you think about the fact that maybe offense has."

Play from 45:01[45:01]" Five snapped and the gain was used that number and an average. The quarterback has the ball in his hands. Five times game."

Play from 45:10[45:10]" The -- he they wouldn't have a bigger impact on the outcome of those game than anybody else on the field than any other in the mean on the football. And that -- where he throws the football on a given play that ball handling that -- two -- Managing to. Going which way to turn on hand --"

Play from 45:32[45:32]" You know have a grasp of the action. It all of those elements and -- The quarterback does in fact have the most dramatic impact on a game and now why Matt Cassel they."

Play from 45:48[45:48]" navy. -- walk on air -- at this point because taking over team that people think does have. Supporting cast now I think the Patriots -- to perform much much much better than what we saw again the Miami Dolphins week and a half ago."

Play from 46:07[46:07]" But that being said I think last years the fans wouldn't -- over rated. In that it benefited greatly from a prolific offense the that a lot of points on the board and and didn't put a lot of pressure on the decent."

Play from 46:21[46:21]" The Patriots need great play from their front seven. And their front three they need -- Wilfork. And Ty Warren. And Richard Seymour to be impact. Players in Detroit. They need their linebackers to play well. You know people talk about each of -- the fans and really not that old. You know at any worse he is getting up there in football you Mike Vrabel up there and football a year and Rodney Harris up their football -- Is -- or even thirty yet. It feels he's thirty this year. And me and he'd be the the -- the next oldest guy on the unit among the regulars we -- I mean Ty Warren not not old. Vince Wilfork not old. The corner having -- O'Neal now starting corner has has been around the block a few times but."

Play from 47:14[47:14]" Ellis Hobbs not -- It's not really that all the different you've got to rookies starting now at linebacker and he's."

Play from 47:23[47:23]" Learning on the line taking -- now which won't be thirty until a year from next week. So he's 29 years old next week to when he right now I mean is not a -- and that his that old and he'll."

Play from 47:37[47:37]" That -- is that it's a little bit inaccurate now of the impact. Is that we've seen over the years."

Play from 47:43[47:43]" Maybe a little bit long in the and that certainly would have an impact Bruschi Vrabel -- in."

Play from 47:50[47:50]" Getting a little bit long in the tooth that Ed Vrabel coming optimal would have -- season."

Play from 47:55[47:55]" Tedy Bruschi was a guy that earlier in his career just made big play after big play. I think right now he's. Fallen off a little bit to become a daddy. And then. Good tackling. Filled a gap know your role played disciplined play within the scheme of the defense linebacker. Hasn't made the amount of big plays. We saw from him early in his career and another guy that compares favorably to Troy Brown by the way a guy who. Nady was on this guy maybe who had faced in doubt as to whether. He could -- only -- in this league but the impact player in the league. And Tedy Bruschi emerged as doc has not read his retirement yet."

Play from 48:41[48:41]" But."

Play from 48:41[48:41]" A guy that bill is a good -- and tackler but we do miss over the big plays that he became known for. Great hands you know grader reading the quarterback. Went through and help that is obviously on the stroke among the top among that was."

Play from 48:59[48:59]" And who don't know whether that had any impact and career."

Play from 49:03[49:03]" But he that'll tough as -- linebacker who fill that -- in the 34 defense. And does it well hopefully. Guys like male. Learn from guys like Teddy Bruschi and they can pack down and knowledge to the young players the Patriots don't need him more youth at linebacker. And the more talent at corner and I think they can do that. And continue to build. They can keep -- that that remains count it. That does well in the cycle. Michael kind of way where it never offer a major drop off. In a cup when drafting at the end of the first round every year like the Patriots have until this year when at a high draft pick. Virtues by virtue of the trade with the -- before. Though. New England. Have to go this Sunday in an effort go. Again want to take my hat off before we go Troy Brown and -- pro football Hall of Fame Andre Tippett he got a had a good enough today. I I will give him the benefit of the doubt. And as soon that he's gone. A visit for the team and appeared charitable appearance because he does represent the Patriots charitable foundation. So incredibly well involved. With youth football and will continue to get Andre are active next week. For four of five to a every Tuesday in the hole with Andre Tippett and Bryan Morry. Don't forget all week this week. From noon to two PFW improper before it Patriots playbook with John brook."

Play from 50:38[50:38]" Four."

Play from 50:39[50:39]" How it Andre Tippett and for stand outside the glass I'm Bryan Morry --"
