Play from 0:41[0:41]" They can't walk inside Patriots playbook for Thursday Europe Patriots. Dot com radio I'm John -- yes item on the telephone book. Just walked in in Tampa Florida tonight for some college football duties but it -- a heck of a lot better because their skeleton you know in my parade here in the studio Philip were to happen."

Play from 0:59[0:59]" I don't mind. I'm doing good how you doing I'm John how are you I look over away John is supposed to be an NC might so I just immediately say hi -- are screwed up. I taught -- one of those winning Lebow's. Faces of me on a stick what exactly guys right they have the they have a cardboard cutout of Tom Brady and here in Tedy Bruschi on the wall we want to John -- when he's not here -- I think that. Good idea you know I'd you know I'd be able to -- that you know -- to get somebody to step. Play from 2:12[2:12]" However it's you know eighty degrees and sunshine right where I am right outs of the two."

Play from 2:17[2:17]" And if if the if the south Florida folks. Put up his could've a spread in the press box as the Tampa bay Bucs do here in for treatment."

Play from 2:26[2:26]" They do okay you know -- usually like the of the pull important variety type stuff you know about the southern now barbecue type thing that they do -- analyst. Pete Townsend and then you know I've I've never had --"

Play from 2:36[2:36]" Points at all while many must do a little bit different then because."

Play from 2:40[2:40]" You know what -- I mean I've never been a huge. Pregame meal eater I mean I can do it Gillette stadium's it would because I'm usually they're two and a half to three hours both involved. So there's plenty of time to digest but. Oracle on the air duo on radio broadcast with a little different I have time to. You know do when I'm on the Gillette Stadium like five under stifle any sort of urge to -- gasses."

Play from 3:05[3:05]" Not many -- yeah. But gotta talk what you don't. You don't national radio brought Kendall didn't you know you need to belch that that's the difference between John a professional and Andy who -- him a trial. Exactly -- a not only entity that's right so what happens cabinet today guys are leaving tomorrow correct or is there. Tomorrow afternoon. Yeah like -- though. Yeah 'cause of the time difference by the time we get there will be rebounds -- we get the Red -- like planning a current event right yeah I'm ready hands of."

Play from 3:39[3:39]" Actually I didn't I do I would literally look like -- an -- like today so -- the first three innings in which nothing happened then and then wake up this morning and turn on you know Hitler and his order wasn't about that the western dominated again last -- is a good Red Sox."

Play from 3:52[3:52]" We already had an area that's all I want a political power on I kept up your progress over the relentless volume that baseball -- yeah. It's a little chuckle all there is a game this weekend at those."

Play from 4:05[4:05]" I have to admit though when you have two weeks to talk about the San Francisco 49ers. I'm I'm I'm going to. I mean it would it would get some heavy -- yesterday and so I'm kind of like you know Mike you and I spent the whole first W talking about matchups and yeah we like -- this -- this you know. Yeah I thought the other was and there are some decent match -- to look at your going to be individual battles in the game put that. When he had two weeks to prep for Sampras discus like please can we keep this thing off now."

Play from 4:31[4:31]" And commit such -- about the charges. Well nine I'm going anytime but you know."

Play from 4:37[4:37]" You know -- we can -- sort of look ahead even all the guys don't always certainly Walton and never would admit that but. I have to admit I think that there's got to be a little bit morbid sense of urgency to this when this week. Civil because that was looming. On the horizon in San Diego -- you agreed to answer that."

Play from 4:53[4:53]" Well I do think we'll have a lot more talk about into week after the long stretches over with because is a very unique road trip where they're out their for the week of practice and a different environment he's doing it without what are your team leaders and a different player behind that are. There are a lot different here to look out for. And I do think and a couple -- that I that is going to be a lot more talk about I think we'll know a little bit more about the team after five games as opposed to three -- the big difference but the two big -- going out west. Playing one team don't know much about and one team would you have a lot of heated battles -- over the years so an -- noble but."

Play from 5:25[5:25]" Mark up yet John I think you and I talked about this on Tuesday show about. At the quarter mark. You tend to have an -- what direction. Teams are going in. And by mid season you kinda know what you have finally and you know there are some teams who like the Giants last year who looked like a horrible team up to the last quarter of the season and then turn it around right away but that's that's those are few and far between. So I think Mike's right at after the game 45. When they come back from the strip. It's we're going to have a lot better idea who you know where where whether or not Cassel is actually. Doing what he needs to do to lead this offense and whether the defense is going to step up and rebound from that horrible game against Miami in. We'll have a better indication I think -- feel a little bit more confident about saying whether or not you know we think this team -- guys."

Play from 6:13[6:13]" Bill always says -- you don't know a lot of -- team until a couple of months of the season anyway. Because go through so much in the pre season you don't really know a whole lot of New York playing. And you really need a few game kind of figure out this is what we have this is how it's probably going to be all year. And what I need to do going forward I think after the kind of trip we have put the Doubleday and -- that adversity in the road. -- got to figure things out after a while."

Play from 6:36[6:36]" You that I agree with but he hears something in some food for thought. Because this team has had such. Shocked -- system early in the year -- you know but obviously that we spent a lot of time talking about here. It would be fair to say that maybe you need to allow a little extra time for this team to move to Connecticut it's. If it's its legs underneath it is this team is different. From what it was last year. If it was changed radically in the opening week against Kansas City so -- we will be a little bit more lenient should we allow a little bit more time for the team that. Find it's identity."

Play from 7:09[7:09]" Well I think you may be under normal circumstances but considering. Brady wasn't involved in any snaps during the pre season games. We kind of head off for a month what this team was like. When Brady did finally Godown."

Play from 7:24[7:24]" If that's that's a great point area because what do we can't speak with Randy cross yesterday. And ran -- at the very same thing. He's you know it's not like we don't know what we didn't know what was comments we just didn't realize what was going to pick this Brady didn't take a single snap of the presage -- well we have a -- to -- elation it's always all the preceding so in reality it really shouldn't come as a tremendous surprise it is team destroy it would have been altered because I struggled the precision now obviously the personnel groupings are vastly different. You don't have that the younger players getting the reps that you had during the pre season. But the problem is that the veterans were getting the reps sold they extra little slowly mature while slowly with a quarterback mr. little slowly."

Play from 8:05[8:05]" Yet at the thing that has surprised me somewhat. In the pre season. I don't really get too concerned about you know how many points are scored or how much they give up on defense -- you know I consider playing with different personnel groups are shifting guys around your. Looking more for. Evaluation of individual players or individual positions as opposed of the team as a whole. And so when it in court too much with with Cassell Gutierrez O'Connell a quarterback. And it really. Take take it is too much of a concern at that point but since the season has started and they still haven't scored you know twenty points yet. I am a little concerned about whether they have the ability to do that with you know with what I have right now but --"

Play from 8:50[8:50]" Certainly not at the pace -- last year now that doesn't happen even -- you were behind it is not at that pace but at least. You know to a protest I don't think once you have that you know against -- who probably should score again like Miami with a weak secondary leader averaging 38 points they -- have scored thirty points in the first three games last year and and -- to -- two games -- at 34 and so there were hovering around 3530 at a point it is about a week and if you take. Even if you take two touchdowns away. Bet till I thought I won 22 points a game you're probably on the top penalty at that point and then having an approach that gets on a little concerned about that. To think he can make him a little bit more of a window to. -- what they're really made up here because beyond they have tinkered with the offense a little bit and they are running some different plays and do different things and and outset going as. And we ask about changing the playbook Matt Cassel Woody and that was. You know some players are more comfortable with certain plays than others in other words not going to Matt Cassel do all the things that Tom Brady did because he may not be comfortable doing it. And part of that may be throwing deep with the -- Tom Brady has -- denied it has got a great arm. I don't think he always knows where the ball's going when he talks it deep and that's an issue that kind of limit them the plays in your playbook out. Let Penner rework the offense a bit. Taylor Moore put -- ranks and then he will we have here maybe give them a week or two which is why that come back on this road should be going to be in week. Eight at that point we haven't rather you going to have five games under your belt. We weren't. A team right now so carry your. You know Richmond I'm not going to you know at the line -- we do you know any you know any -- exactly as -- we do this but I do think you know I do they come back in the triple -- tomorrow what Matt Cassel. Can handle it how to handle adverse conditions. Spending entire week on the road haven't prepare for a game not having the conference -- environment now having Tom Brady there in his -- talking to him. Well how all that goes will be interesting that he will be back."

Play from 10:46[10:46]" Let me ask you guys that ticket gonna put look into the crystal ball a little bit because or play a little what -- an end. And realize that may or may not be -- that we can get away with through discussed on. And just because the focal point he happens to be around the -- offense right now and the fact that they have not quite performed up to smoke and another we've also talked in great detail about the -- in the lapses that they had against Miami but. He got escorted -- people I think. It's fairly unanimous amongst you know it may be the three of us and certainly can and the rest were POW brethren here that this team will probably be okay provide that we -- Hawkins to -- Anywhere from you don't want to force that we have appointed game is that a fair assessment."

Play from 11:25[11:25]" Yet that's what I'm looking four point four with 17 point it with the personnel they have."

Play from 11:30[11:30]" Right if they can get to that point. They should still be okay it should still be you know right there for the division title and and you know -- skipping a beat. Well let's let's look -- just a little bit in let me ask you what you think. And in Michael got a bullet used that week six barometer that you're talking about. This team continues to struggle offensively. And let's say they you know that they lose one or two of these next couple games at what stage do you think that this has to reach. But for the Patriots decided to pull the plug -- do something else a quarterback or shaken up offense."

Play from 12:05[12:05]" I did did have to be out of it and the playoff berth rather. And had a -- for it on the green hair. Yeah I think if they're out there yet they make -- at that point but he had to lose my -- put O'Connell and their you to act because so you'd White House and be back anyway he -- like like we nighter and I was people like. Korean seven. Yeah they'd lose and if you lose these games a comeback to win three and a lot of no absolutely nothing I didn't need to get going. Kazakhstan to figure out Nicol calls and you give that a chance of winning right now than -- that's why -- I think I have a favorite but distributing -- again you don't United seven certainly pennants six to win the east. Yeah I mean at this to any and we okay pull the plug let let let Kevin O'Connell play."

Play from 12:51[12:51]" Look I I'd like Matt -- I think he's added I think he's a great guy and I think he's you know a better quarterback than people give him credit for that said. When you draft a guy in the third round. At quarterback. I -- you know knowing this team's draft -- Serena never really draft quarterbacks. They don't really draftsman don't threaten that high and so that's said. I think they're looking into the future with that back. And I'm not ready to say that they're confident that Cassell -- in the best opportunity to win games if they struggle. I don't I think maybe sooner rather than later in the -- and I don't think. They would have a problem going to O'Connell if they felt at that point they've had a better chance to win and he gave him a chance while they were -- I don't think -- other -- possibility I'm not saying that's what's going to happen on the sank. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens and then my accident. -- think you don't think half dozen minutes in and O'Connell and all I'm saying if he struggles and the coaching staff feels that O'Connell does give them a better chance I don't think they'd be afraid to him I'll make. -- don't hold that triggers and what do any thing here now I don't think I don't think if they. If they start struggling. And they and it looks like they're going to be out of it but they're still in it. I don't think they'd have a problem make nets which they felt like hey you know what we're still in it we -- have a chance we better go with the guy who gives us a better chance and if they think -- the rookie."

Play from 14:14[14:14]" I -- I'll root that out think his experience human like -- plain and back there saying well. You know past couple years under his belt he has played automatically now I think they feel to have a better quarterback right now and I think -- correct. And they believe he -- in the better chance to win public Eric that if at some point typical calls made some strides in practice chosen a few things in the edited because lynch. I just think that overall I don't think it is going to change their opinion past or being the better quarterback for them right now wall. And the guys that they'd have to be out of it in my book. Like this but then again we don't get to see everything that goes on practice -- to zooming. That's -- and is making the assumption that they've brought all their support behind -- I don't know if after eight weeks are only going to change their mind."

Play from 14:59[14:59]" Yeah yeah let's -- that's very good point you're right -- they get -- out of their way I think to showing that. You know they support Matt Cassel in the you know by not bringing in the veteran quarterbacks and everybody just assumed that they were going to -- that we -- after the Kansas City game you know as they have sent from from they want that back -- older -- so you're right they're probably going to be a tendency to give him a little bit -- the benefit of the doubt."

Play from 15:25[15:25]" I think that it. And I haven't seen enough yet enough negative to make the hole to make the change right now although I don't against Miami no question about it. I think his performance was worse than some other people think I'll -- it was very good against Jets and -- pretty good boy coming in against cheese. Given the condition of the circumstance and -- game not shown up to the ballpark not expect -- the play you know and haven't gone there relieved Tom Brady. I think you know he's had two out of -- pretty good. That -- it was a -- that the -- would -- help out much to me it's three games I can't in making any sort of knee jerk reactions. Based on -- one to two teams that need more of the body worked -- all about."

Play from 16:03[16:03]" Yeah again I'm not saying -- knee jerk reaction -- I'm just saying we're not privy to everything that goes on in practice right right so. You know who's to say O'Connell isn't performing great. You know had a right usually leave you mean don't meet in the right right now -- now for all we know it always is catching -- kick return or -- throws in now granted most rookie quarterbacks don't come into the league in -- Right now."

Play from 16:26[16:26]" No you know unless you're a very highly. You know -- out of the draft pick in -- your name is Alex Smith."

Play from 16:32[16:32]" And yeah well especially for a guy who -- MO the reps in practice anyway fear rookie quarterback who is expected to north of me you attracted chances are getting all the reps in pre season. And nearly a little bit more here O'Connell is not prepared that right now. I don't know I doubt he's getting a punter -- Right now on the on the practice -- for all we know Gutierrez to be getting -- and now we really don't know."

Play from 16:54[16:54]" The other it's true although I would I'd be I'd be very surprised I definitely. Think that if they brought in O'Connell for a specific reason they like it is mixed. This will be his mobility is Willis is strong on communicate the big -- He not only led you know his team in passing obviously but -- let his team in rushing again it was during his senior year it's going to be history yet so you know here's a guided. Is big and physical and sort of it's prototype for a lot of the quarterback -- seat. Certainly at a high level and college who can do the whole you know run passing it will hold -- young -- hopeful phenomenon that it will. Yeah or mobile like I felt like it or maybe it -- testing continued to struggle -- Matt -- and -- can -- pretty -- and -- even -- Tom -- In a lot of ways but he here's the thing just because sometimes you guys know this. Is Lola site soon as well most savvy football fan. There's no word for the day standing you know on the I I think -- people realize that sometimes you make a change. Just because it's not working and you need -- spark it is not any one thing already two things -- any really anything negative sometimes you make change for change sake -- because she needed -- start. You need to kick start something to do that. And -- the pitcher to an in depth that Ralph but I think it's an interesting sort of thing to look forward to. Or at least. Anticipate unnatural for two but anticipate. Potentially the Patriots having to override that decision like this because so much is expected of this team this year. Still even a Brady's dad and so much still expect the resources we -- think at least they're still. Part of political -- of the playoffs but also we get most of the fans that that listen to our program -- the email they still put the Patriots are going to make the playoffs that the Cleveland isn't. That the theory that you don't think that they're going to make the playoffs so because of that kind of pressure on you. I think they've got to be thinking ahead a little bit that's all."

Play from 18:51[18:51]" I don't know -- has a better. Quarterback in the pocket or move better in the pocket quite yet. Because I'm not to all in his pocket awareness yet I look at the Miami team. And their first try to cut into the red zone after -- really good play -- to back to back act did not step up and avoid pass rush -- look at Tom Brady. The one of his strength is ability that both in the pocket when pass rush coming employed or that's quick."

Play from 19:13[19:13]" Mission I would say Mike Moore more so than you do what I think tressel has good legs. And I think he has. -- just has better yeah Walsh sees their runner can yell recognition in the pocket I would totally agree with an immediate."

Play from 19:26[19:26]" You could put you named all back -- he can't recognize the past present and I'll pass to move that I get my point -- Brady's ability to avoid the sack has come from his recognition as opposed to his his athletic ability where in castles case it's probably more as athletic ability -- recognition."

Play from 19:41[19:41]" Absolutely -- absolutely so that's obviously where they're different he's got the ability to to make a little something more out of a mistake. But then again maybe if he'd stayed in the pocket walk -- long enough or. You know learned how to check all this initial receiver who happens to be covered maybe he can make a better plate that were Brady excels."

Play from 19:59[19:59]" And I agree theorized that he's smart he's a more experienced. More intelligent and again using your words savvy quarterback. And -- that you lack right now and you have cast when there he can write them plays -- when it hit the fan I was going to react. It's all right. You don't realize how good Brady is he's not there I think adding people start to realize that not people taken for granted here. I don't think there's been a lot of talk of just picking up that he is -- moving on as if nothing happened here that while the that I BO pay. I think he's got to he's he's an advocate all right and Q drives in the Miami game even of the Czech team they struggle in the reds on offensively -- seen them play. That each year yields a whole lot of time agree. And really the reds on efficiency has been the biggest thing to me at that when -- get out there he's in a release butter with having let based -- work. That's what happens defenseman now as much -- based at eleven guys crowd into a much smaller area. And it's hard to get guys open and I'll think Kimi proper -- just yet and that to me is part of parents that commitment and Tom Brady."

Play from 21:02[21:02]" Yep that's -- return. Bombed the one thing that I wanted to touch on today and obviously Russell -- from his -- is going to join us here about a twenty minutes or so. Bombings -- won't get into some of the week's games and in run down the schedule and then -- gives his thoughts -- What's transpiring as we get into what does this week five in the NFL problem. Just about an hour still go on NFL dot com the post and a little bit about just an awful lot of of an update -- look -- an update on the whole world. -- Al Davis but don't blame in the Bill Belichick for -- and Randy Moss story I mean that you were thinking that maybe. In and really there was no news about it I just noticed that the post that they were first post. And some look into my oldest not really didn't you hear that we don't already know it just says -- that Davis so the teams didn't Walt Mossberg for the Patriots obtained him. And soul of the quotes from Davis was you know how many teams turned him down the guy in Green -- thought he couldn't run anymore. Even Denver where they'll take anybody turned him down. -- can identify the person in Green Bay. The situation of course coach Belichick mentioned yesterday. In the conference call with members of the San Francisco media because he kind of blew past it you know was with you guys in there yesterday at -- if -- correct and in the remembering here. Calmly you."

Play from 22:21[22:21]" Because reporter question right pull me either either right answer. Oh is that correct yes now from a different publication."

Play from 22:29[22:29]" Oh I got you that I guess that the bottom line here is is that. I don't know why. The Raiders would trade a guy if they felt like the Patriots -- I mean him MI just being too simplistic but this."

Play from 22:42[22:42]" No I think you make -- well I mean I would just pull all my cards off the table I thought there was anything fishy going on Percival I think it. I think he was talking about Ted Thompson and Green Bay with the packer GM right suggest that they didn't -- lost in the two run anymore. -- are resulting everything it -- if they -- that big -- filed charges the NFL. Many times over the years with the NFL -- Out a little law who if you think they tampered. Go to court and other words just to bring it up and and let's make this official and my question is why he waited until now to do it. Right everything -- had any idea why it was not a big election ride anybody that I was greeted by congress and Lola last year in -- fourteen games on the would have cared -- they ambiguity in the fourth round pick him happy with."

Play from 23:23[23:23]" And any yeah I think he's trying to you know -- obviously they are great result he's lost his marbles the second ball. Are you trying to cover his trek toward obviously it was a stupid stupid move by the Raiders. I don't know I don't."

Play from 23:37[23:37]" Think he was going to play for Miami yeah I think it was -- you can move it and let him go. Because he was like like Mike just said he wasn't really producing for them you know you know he was the captain. And actually getting different -- know -- for all intents and purposes is thinking about their playing hard anymore. Our effort into -- as -- you know what we bring him here he'll get it on -- to give your first round pick and easier said than done I don't think they're going Horry was all that high for a guy who do. Was pouting. And really wasn't really wasn't willing to give it under the I'm out of the radio that I mean your situation at the Red Sox well. They were in with Manny Ramirez will be got to do all the media out here he's not going to plays a -- or. He's on how he's not he's out of bodega Mariana R apparently re right on -- plate and you know those things that they feared and felt they had to get rid of him and make the moves that do. I think that -- situation Oakland was in with Moss. A year ago. Yet this when he had to do something it's as if that is not getting any better so you know."

Play from 24:37[24:37]" Now Oakland. The franchise's just the circus with him leading the charge -- John and everything they do everything they do is -- circuits that. It's embarrassing to the league -- is I mean and I you into the guy owns the team you can't really force instant. Give up ownership but. They'll just be better off when he's not pulling the strings there."

Play from 24:57[24:57]" I don't know -- people ever win again until well Davis decides to give up -- yeah and want to play that helped. But you know what he's Saturday night here so apparently even in at least in decent health. You know I don't think that happens anytime soon guys I was going anywhere anytime I actually have some sympathy for raider fans is that if that's possible. Just because you know nobody wants to win. And usually we know that things in the NFL are certainly cyclical the point where you're down you usually don't stayed down for for very long -- not listing an age now."

Play from 25:25[25:25]" To their credit the players credit they look like they were putting up a fight underling Kiffin even though they knew. You know could be any any day could he could even gotten fired in the third quarter. Yeah I don't think they quit on another hard for him but that should act out the so that -- and that's what's going to be interesting from now on is do they play for the guy who takes over. And if things start to continue to go bad. They continue to try to play -- form yet and why the interest in things like."

Play from 25:50[25:50]" Linehan and in the enough in St. Louis I don't think these guys and Oakland quit on."

Play from 25:54[25:54]" You know I think I -- I'm -- good very good article today in the end because after sisco chronicle talking to Barry and it was tackled -- niners played in Oakland. And so familiar with the hole at -- camera that it is Erica there but he -- talk about Tom cable who was wasn't the offense like coach. Right that he worked directly with him when he was in Oakland said adding the players really decked him and he's got a good report everybody's always seems like. They've put in a guy who already kind of has -- of the players to begin with. And it got players back I don't think because -- and getting fired. They gonna totally take it again I think and guys a prize imponderable but the point it but the all alike the cable guy. -- table got a guy. I think they gotta keep playing hard for him onto the guy doing in the pennant. Tarnish his reputation as a coach then by chance he maybe moves on and gets a permanent job L a and it got to keep my --"

Play from 26:50[26:50]" I just going to be interesting to watch because you don't that things can put it in the league is so fickle things can turn in an instant. You know they didn't obviously like Kiffin and played form and you know it just depends on what happens you know that the way Kiffin got treated. Is is that if he is the new coach going to be treated that way. Yes because he treated every coach Kelly you know last -- so -- not anybody more than a couple of days than that then does it become a case where no matter who you plug in his -- the players going to play form because they are rallying to the coach is Isaac plays the cream donut and a what -- in the what does matter is he hiring that coaches are. Is he bringing in that I think he's."

Play from 27:28[27:28]" I think he's hiring coaches he feels like he can can still. Absence will hold out and in that might go after coming in regular job they can -- on the head coach -- the call your."

Play from 27:39[27:39]" my team that's obviously took that from an outsider's perspective that's in the -- Obviously what happened with Kiffin. Because I think Davis scored even a few weeks ago was like that he isn't the guy I hired. So maybe maybe Davis thought oh this is a guy -- control is like a puppet. And Kiffin probably figured out how to say what I've there -- order after city get the job. You know and then things will change once I get in there and then he realized pretty quickly things are gonna change out not."

Play from 28:06[28:06]" ask I'll now. So both very covered individuals I think they're -- slimy to some degree I think paralyzed gone back and forth on both sides like -- today. Pippen deserves blame for publicly ripping players personnel. Executives on and so forth to the press you can't do that sort of thing you have to play your time in situations and -- coach I think you to screw the -- there and -- realize you can -- up. It's going to -- yeah. And that's where he's -- Paul and Al Davis does have a point when he brings that up. He can't deny that I mean he is right about that can't that is conduct detrimental to the team. And that's -- Davis pointed out stole. Yet it continues chair if you don't stop giving if you give the guys three page letter early Davies did and he told us that. -- you've got to play you don't know what out of it what did he -- I don't think I think there was a much of the public backlash at this point anymore there were other issues on top of it. And I do think that the other things contributed to the firing. I think he's getting a raw deal I think he's going to be good young coach in the league I think a lot of people on the league. Maybe have respect for how he handled us out they got a tarnished his ability get a job out."

Play from 29:16[29:16]" Yeah the funny thing was it. Sure the Raiders weren't winning a lot of games last year. But. You know he is he's a young coach who had to work with the talent that he had. Already there you know it's not like he had five years it to bring guys and on his own draft his own players signed as a free agents he was playing with a hand that was given to him. Okay how many coaches instantly come in in their first year and start. Winning games and take into the play with the bat with a bad team right that would personnel that's not really there's it doesn't really necessarily fit their system. So you know Davis started wanting to fire started getting the thoughts about wanting to fire him last year -- I mean you gotta give a guy a chance to work and I agree you know and the players always wanted to play for this guy you've got to get a chance. True this guy is Davis is it that it's. It's still such an extreme where he wants instant results. I mean yeah it's is that unrealistic -- unrealistic."

Play from 30:14[30:14]" I think that's putting it mildly is on the couple things that that I picked up put just from reading you know various and so under publications that are actually got to pay attention to New England at San Francisco on Sunday and I and I want to you guys are comments on this number one. I'm I don't know this is crossed anybody's plate or not this week but -- we all think -- coach Belichick is being someone when he has an extra time prepare. Is being you know obviously having quite a bit of success right. For the extra and the thing about and yet after a bye week the Patriots are only ten and nine even -- number this week."

Play from 30:49[30:49]" I'm not -- well they are X 200 belt."

Play from 30:52[30:52]" Six sort of military but. Overall though this team has had a mixed bag success coming off a bye week what you think in your opinion. Gives a team an advantage or disadvantage come off a bye week."

Play from 31:05[31:05]" I think the advantage here -- Evans in the opponents so long they actually kind of needed the extra time to prepare. And plus come off a bad loss whether clearly in question mark. And and catching up to do on both sides of the ball given that only three weeks and he's out. I don't always think early buys a bad thing I think under -- circumstance and you have a much turnover that you have now Tom Brady being out of the lineup for the season. The men have been a bad thing plus again that two week stretch coming up. Quit being Al west -- back to back games and again having little time are having little back on the team."

Play from 31:36[31:36]" I think they could use it now I think it would have been more of a disadvantage had they've been playing very well have -- in and a group headed in scoring points you know -- Cassel found a rhythm. And the offense been working well had to defend been playing. Consistently. Shut down -- defense if they were playing at that level and then all of a sudden we three comes and have a bye he kind of like you know we're just getting started. But they kinda needed at that time because they had missed the initial shock of losing Brady. The the immediate insertion of Cassell and trying to. Get used him even elect we said he did have the whole pre season basically. But just psychologically they had to get over that. Yeah they went through the pre season thinking okay in four weeks Tom's going to be back right but then all I know okay now we -- revert back to what we were doing and you know it was just. It almost was a blessing that they had at this early this year. You know the only other thing I can say is may be had it come at the end of this two week swing on the west coast that that might have been more ideal but. I think you know given that you have no control over that I think pick in the -- for Toledo and."

Play from 32:44[32:44]" What do you think about it in -- Brady after the first pre season game. -- the different to have for a week of exhibition football practice and get ready for now whole new offense and all new quarterback. In this case he lost them into week one and then how to turn a writer on the day after they are preparing the next -- Jets while -- new quarterback in."

Play from 33:04[33:04]" But the Patriots have lost -- in week one of the -- season -- then Gordon killed protecting him in the game in the first place."

Play from 33:10[33:10]" Why yeah yeah they hypothetically speaking out -- per game but I mean -- I have you lost him early in the in the summer. When he had more time before -- started and now this gives you two -- the -- catch up on things and and really absorb the shock of that loss. And now -- to move port right on the early minutes per game let it long and during a upended funny and his ankle on a pre season practice. You know I mean to something of that nature that happened early enough we can make the changes in get the team up -- time and by time the season's start. You know as early over the not thinking about it anymore as much. Whereas now it seems kind of scratch even if it is more weeks later. This till every time we talk with the Patriot you mention not having time Brady -- maybe it's -- the -- Carolina."

Play from 33:57[33:57]" While having a lot of it will be because simply do it seems it's special those outside of the division I want to face the Patriots that's distorted and he's talking about. You know so it's going to comets gonna slap the Patriots in the base every week they play it's. Still going to have. Have to do with it. That's the hard yards and well I like a forest when we get down to about you know week ten or eleven -- and -- the opposing you know media one look Belichick has a conference call and the first thing he's asked about does not have a Tom Brady yeah. You know I mean that's got that out of the entertainment."

Play from 34:28[34:28]" That -- that and it it does get old here a week ago reading about it but it it it's it's a talking point it's going to be talking -- you know what if if the Patriots are ten into at that point. Play from 34:45[34:45]" You know if there's six and six it's a completely different story or worse yet you know so that's why you'll hear about. Yeah well that's why it's going to be -- they got to prepare themselves for all that play well. The of the that's that's the bottom. Half. The other thing I wanted to ask you get a -- I don't know if you saw this or not but that's certainly part of the story this week and preparing for the 49ers has been JT O'Sullivan the second was a secret practice squatter a couple of years ago. And here's a guy as a starter now in his first four games. Pointers and realize he's he's got a long way to go your. But I saw this one of the San Francisco papers balm he has a ninety passer rating through four games. If by some chance he capped that ninety accurate. He could be in a class with Brodie. Jeff Garcia. Montana. Any -- and as for is the quarterback in club history with a ninety plus passer about that."

Play from 35:40[35:40]" Yeah. And enjoy Camilla and that that."

Play from 35:44[35:44]" No to drugs -- you know I realized that you know there's a lot of times still look like yeah I just thought you know they have hit you know you're the guy that we looked at is that it isn't quite what he was a practice water couple years ago. And now -- he's bouncing around seven teams in eight years in the NFL and he's. I'll replaced his stick and yes it's been a mixed bag in terms of wins and losses but in terms of his until performance. It's been better I think than most people had a right to expect in that. They had a big hand in San Diego really kind of knock at the Chargers. The playoffs. But it's kind it it's an intriguing match per say because. You know. -- seen -- kind of odd start San Diego and I don't mean just the fact that they were -- and so. Shawn Marion and is obviously key player for them but. I you have to be disappointment how their defense -- this year from top to bottom. That -- it's really didn't you know this routine that brought a lot of pressure electric -- year last year they look they got a lot thinks vick's. The very -- a big part of that but they got to the wire by Carolina who drove right on the field on the the end you know -- to throw out the Denver game. And I totally get debt and so on although. If it's. Denver doesn't scored the end of the game they still gave up thirty plus points and I think that's fair to say they give up 31. Big Jets even though was lopsided game -- still give up 29 points and and they spot -- the Raiders will be glad week. -- solid -- the tight angle wake up the middle of fielded -- mean. Wide open I mean they've pitcher rally to win big games so last year you understood the slow start because within the coaching staff Norv Turner coming in this year. A little bit of the mystery and it'll be interesting to see at Miami capitalizes. On any kind of momentum they got from beating the Patriots two weeks ago or -- Diego."

Play from 1:00:00[1:00:00]" Slowly. Kinda get its act together. I think -- go slowly -- What denying the talent but like effect a little my. Little disappointing and --"

Play from 1:00:12[1:00:12]" And I'm not surrogate take on this -- but I think. And look like Thomas and maybe started to struggle definitely miss all of the off season conditioning program with that toe injury. So it appears now he's finally closer to mid season form then -- the beginning of the year and it seems like. There have been some positive signs that the fans despite the overall point holes I think on -- It started syllable that Barrett there -- sort of a Merriman replacement with all that pressure -- kinda curious your take on."

Play from 1:00:44[1:00:44]" I think it's been addressing that then so far is not -- so much a lack of pressure -- they have kinda gotten. So what pressure on the quarterback. But you know. He was originally Antonio Cromartie was Rachel actually yeah and any -- we have these kinda -- moments this seat at. Billick is no question about it. It's spectacular interception return against the Jets. In in the in the Monday night game and so on but also. Also some moments where you're like Murton. You know so with the the battered and testing them last year and coming to the forefront. You know sometimes you see guys who have big interception numbers. Sometimes let down but the numbers don't go it's it's -- next year because. Teams don't talk it up. Sometimes you'll see guys. Really there interception numbers or at least a respectable interception numbers. And it's so we decided that a pretty good quarterback. -- Asante Samuel and what you couldn't -- I think he followed up its tent and reception here which six that it does a pretty good numbers per year total. But became a big cities go it's always had problems in the secondary target -- he spent a lot of high -- Autumn here -- some of them panned out like Sammy Davis but. You know quite been okay just okay to the fifth pick in the draft and Cromartie would be confrontational last year but. They had some issues there this year so. I think I think the battle here Miami's. Young but they're improving offensive line against their front seven -- the Chargers."

Play from 1:02:17[1:02:17]" You. Can argue with that they have -- my wonderful wife doesn't didn't think I think that's equity actually."

Play from 1:02:25[1:02:25]" Let's throw the other -- the other divisional game that certainly has some intrigue about it and that's possible playing at Arizona. On the boat builder over the first five -- started seventeen years. That's number one the other thing that I -- about this is that. The -- try to make the play else's I think we're going to documented before over the try to get in the playoffs for the first time since 99. That's tied for the second longest playoff drought in the NFL with the Detroit Lions who own the longest playoff drought Russell."

Play from 1:02:54[1:02:54]" A fact Arizona -- Yes indeed in 98 when he beat the Cowboys that is going to Dallas woman was the quarterback it's that's right that lost to Minnesota so -- don't haven't been a playoff games in music city miracle. Let's talk about healing well you talk about taking off a loss hard. Yeah -- easy is it nine years recovering a product he's yet that that's the last finalize that a whole different story would be three -- them lose which we score that many games they play at the other out."

Play from 1:03:23[1:03:23]" That impresses me the most about Buffalo is that Trent Edwards has been. More than just solid it really in all games this for the the first -- and spectacular -- it is quarterback rating is like 136 or something in the fourth quarter."

Play from 1:03:37[1:03:37]" Offensive. Production this year has been really jumped and -- his side and the long ball ability. Of that -- two big part of that they already have now this is not exactly the ball through the -- but. Dual meet for a second. Offense is over -- totaled eight passing place at thirty or more yards in four games that's -- They only get a ten time all last year the whole season. We look at it and then going to -- yes that's right exactly and you know what it's not like Lawton didn't used to have several poor girl we have a timer at times. But the offense is already scored -- their offense. Offensively you don't -- At twenty touchdown Pletcher three west agreed to be bought it -- offensive touchdowns oblique last year. The turnaround of all aspects and so on their death. This should be interesting because you know what the judge just scored again but. Get -- Arizona equate the afternoon at the last week. Now it looked like -- somewhat promising start couldn't Brett Favre -- through an early pick and competition you know Kurt Warner became. Court order you know maybe if you get figured in his seat football and he's a dream. You know but when you have two touchdowns. Three interceptions. Loose we fumbled after probably four times and gets sacked five times. I mean that's straight 2345. Straight smooth and can't that it Brett Favre of course turnaround first career high six touchdown passes so. -- off to their great start that you didn't into a -- since 1991. Another got to wait to -- three you know again they're suddenly back at 500. And it becomes a very dangerous and more importantly guys I think continent -- it."

Play from 1:05:20[1:05:20]" Well I actually we just did our we do our picks in the previous though. On Thursday's Nash and I kind of you know in Buffalo still a young team. And still. Learning how to win games they're supposed to win. They've done that so far is that they're undefeated but I think this is the for lack of better term a trap game for them I think they're going to. Be surprised by Arizona I think Arizona is going to knock market in the first loss this week."

Play from 1:05:46[1:05:46]" I don't I don't disagree with that at all I need -- last week you saw it -- great example. They were by the -- I think we're -- to fourteen -- the it is you know right now in terms of you can debate who's the worst team would football but don't think there's any to be played to work. That would be it this St. Louis Rams to just you know just fired their head coach. In terms of pure watching them play. I mean it's been terrible. And -- Buffalo you know to their credit they want to game they were supposed to win on the road. Now they go all the way back on the road always cross country and I think this is -- tall order for that might a totally great."

Play from 1:06:26[1:06:26]" If they can pull it off. A now that -- other starting to prove that they might be a legitimate contender for the area east title and."

Play from 1:06:53[1:06:53]" Right now we're all one and one against each other right."

Play from 1:06:57[1:06:57]" Buffalo they -- they got humiliated by the Patriots plaster 37. At -- extent -- okay. They swept the Dolphins they swept the Jets. Okay so afford to win the division and so on but. They had that nice that long that nineteen loose and started doing a Patriot we alluded to a before and so -- And you know I've seen three and go to four go to private note that he -- connotes. Get a head of steam and still find a way to manage to miss the play all -- we get -- real meat of their divisional on the clock when they're playing -- that. But this week what's called the couldn't find a better example last week how about Denver Kansas City hello -- Washington you know the teams that know you best. Regardless of how -- other -- to pile up the team didn't know you best. Can find a way to beat."

Play from 1:07:45[1:07:45]" That's big example would ever Kansas City game you know that's what part of that was going to happen -- is seeking a minute controlled the game from the get go yeah."

Play from 1:07:53[1:07:53]" And out as a better chance in your eyes of Buffalo. Splitting with New England or sweeping Miami games here."

Play from 1:08:00[1:08:00]" Cool all -- that -- question because I think Miami is definitely improved and and because the Brady injury I mean you have to seeded. New England not what they were obviously last year we could say that's actually not what they were last year. I still think. Boy that's it that's cup I'd call. -- call -- tough call but I sightings though I think for the sake of their program. This split with New England would be monumental. Yeah. I don't anybody else on the green you know right when they get it right away -- you will not going to -- somebody. If you fight harder as I mean you know -- you talk about Cleveland did you know figure Cleveland its New York. -- tight last year Cleveland lost combined times -- to get him at home on Sunday -- couple weeks they'll make -- Yeah -- into the Raiders last week they are fifteen -- on San Diego. Now they've lost category -- idiot with no -- the big deal deal on an end and beating these teams that. I have had your number -- those numbers don't lie there's a reason that happens you know it's the match -- that familiarity and so. I mean you go back to Denver -- Oakland freer society actually one of my favorite stat given the Raiders were to do this week that's what Mike Shanahan a little bit. Yeah you know he coached. Twenty games the greatest recycling -- and it. He's beat the Raiders 21 times. As Broncos second and on the and that's great in -- that you really want that at billion dollars I think -- good I think he's still little upset that."

Play from 1:09:36[1:09:36]" Yeah definitely so. I about jumped is that so we're looking at that Sunday night game it looked like a pretty good Pittsburgh Jacksonville. Ultimately produce decent people but hey maybe this is the favorite they have city."

Play from 1:09:56[1:09:56]" Well let's in the guys that got away from the running game in doubt in Philadelphia I think bike should go -- don't choice. Kabul last week and -- again this week they're probably going to have to get away from the running game at a necessity. Now they just brought back Najeh Davenport. And Gary Russell -- the younger and the Gary Russell boat people don't really know that much I guess hardly any playing dot. But -- Davenport. Who's been had been with in the last couple years is -- their power back. To replace Jerome Bettis but Willie Parker's out there rookie Rashard Mendenhall -- for the year. You know -- talk about the Ben Roethlisberger and the no huddle offense. Which they used Monday night and it it and I would I would say this because it's what did you see you gain -- quick if you did. Monday night when the -- schedules -- they'll you know and then fifteen seconds. Roethlisberger makes it a dusty played it Santonio Holmes had been the pressure comes from what Lee had an Eric said that -- the ball all the sudden if you look at. -- if you were watching the game. The more the story is what doctor turned his -- the Mets turn to triple play. The Mets pulled into this -- you -- here this year after sorry to does that put the Mets dirt that started triple -- if you were not paying attention Monday night and -- even sees. All side but. Looking back -- like Michael. Yeah yeah yeah it was about you know I I won't say that he had taken a beating the last. A couple of years. -- that offensive line that prompted a -- Is a really resourceful ZZ. Finds a way to throw the ball. And make plays he would died in space or hanging on him. And -- play need to get that ball the ball -- be more in overtime which set up the game winning field goal. That's talking about stealing one even though you're supposed to win that game at home you know and also protest. Young Joe Flacco. Better than I thought this yeah the watch what when he gets more accustomed. To what he's dealing it is one that is feeling the pressure. And learning had to -- pressuring -- people. That bet that -- got he's got a little mustard on the ball. And he definitely double a little present not the pocket president -- but he he took them the only field percent gain an overtime very impressive by."

Play from 1:13:01[1:13:01]" We have we must against some bad. Scouting footage on him this spring because they -- none of us none of us liked his his his as a college state. From Delaware."

Release yeah well yeah and ended Chargers opted not to Datsyuk because they like what they saw in college at night and it -- very very well other guys coming and it just takes a look. A tweak here tweaked it -- some lipstick and false eyelashes all the sudden it makes this beauty -- so."

Play from 1:13:45[1:13:45]" The thing about Rivers though that that I think. The trump anything else was he's a four year starter. And NC state. And I tend to. Like quarterbacks who have that kind of experience acknowledged. Because it's it's almost like there -- significantly more prepared especially in a pro offense like NC state -- with Rivers. -- at that point yet you have you have really not a rookie at that point you're sort of like halfway through your rookie season when you get started. Just just having that experience as opposed to a guy like. Flacco or. Even you know to to bring up a big bust Ryan -- who was a flash in the pan for a year. Put a lot of big numbers really that Achilles Smith he had had one great year and you know all of built up a lot of hype in his in his -- might work out in boosted his draft stock. I'm I'm more confident taking the guys going north played for 34 years. Been a starter at which is why wonders and while of the Kevin O'Connell -- because he was a four year starter for your cat and it's senior day. I saw a tape a tape looked good through but I also like the fact that he was a four year starter."

Play from 1:14:49[1:14:49]" I don't believe that it erupted -- would also be MVP of all the bowl games ever played it. Little and I think he'd be MVP of every ball game you played at."

Play from 1:15:10[1:15:10]" I believe that correct it's one of those. Useless trivia pieces there but it's pretty good though."

Play from 1:15:15[1:15:15]" have a job one other thing I don't think about him though I know we're going a little long and on Philip Rivers but he really he was also know got married I was in college and I believe that a child. You know some of these kids come in they get the big contract there you know swinging single guys ago they gonna go out of the tunnel time maybe -- focused on football is a guy who's been. He's he's matured very early and another reason why I felt like he was a guy who come in and maybe start as a rookie he did not drastic as the Drew Brees thing but. He could have gone in and the Chargers want him to start I think it would have been okay. At that point because there was a guy who again wasn't really a rookie when he was a rookie fifth Nixon."

Play from 1:15:56[1:15:56]" No I don't -- Rivers was a MVP winner of two T injuring bowls like Gator Bowl in the 2004 double when -- go go."

Play from 1:16:04[1:16:04]" They got. I have bad habit to give -- a good point too because. That was the one thing -- the young quarterbacks you guys news and world anymore Tom Brady -- apple with Ben Roethlisberger and he EC what happens when you don't you know when you get thrown into the fire like some of these guys do it. They're all different ways to do it you'd be Carson Palmer sit out a year. And that also did and where he can -- Peyton Manning and you start from day one there is no rhyme or reason and had to -- would depend on the individual. In my -- that didn't -- I think and I think the thing that's more important than anything else and -- again ladies a great example this. It's the old the injury never let -- swept okay you know what Tom Brady got in there I I never got the sense. In the huddle or anything like depth -- that he -- know what you do. He never let his teammates that you know he he played the -- And there's no way you can know everything just get thrown into like that you and I think not making Europe I mean it's like. Okay we're all Gary here right now. If -- produce and show. And it's just for show and you guys don't know it yet but he knows it. And you guys never figured out that means he -- job yeah okay and that's what I think the beauty of Tom Brady was from."

Play from 1:17:22[1:17:22]" As a little more about this didn't really blew it and but I think that's the -- gave one to a degree I think it was the beauty Ben Roethlisberger from day one. That -- I don't know it until which you record ever going to tell -- and I think that you get everybody else settled down wind of the you know that that you build -- team."

Play from 1:17:42[1:17:42]" Yeah Roethlisberger had the most ridiculous rookie season of any quarterback. I'm an -- wanted to do straight road wins mean while."

Play from 1:17:54[1:17:54]" Let's then now let's get shot at you Monday night game and that they get also looks to be somewhat intriguing Minnesota's playing in New Orleans. Which is of course Eric's NFC championship -- game they'll -- the New Orleans Saints put. They don't want Cowboys don't have them clintons and the Cowboys haven't had to -- into the Cowboys losing the Cowboys but you haven't been there today -- going to play the game right Vikings won six of the last seven. Drew Brees right now leads the NFL passing yards."

Play from 1:18:20[1:18:20]" Yeah and I don't look that's good news for the Minnesota Vikings you know -- it was a bit and they were held and it's impossible Super Bowl team this year. And I don't we get into that have a belt you don't take any meat or seven and nineteen think who can be the next you don't watch. -- is going to be the big surprise than you know. Only a couple of here Minnesota they just get the quarterback they get older pieces you know. -- issued -- Jared Allen deal. You know they give a lot of draft picks to get him to get deep sense. Really tough I mean their secondary still very very questionable but. If they get attacked Russia to dropping back a little that they get some good young players a decent check green way to linebacker. I like a lot but look what's wrong with this picture the Minnesota Vikings have four games have seven sex. Okay -- five of when he beat Carolina and they have two in the three games they've lost. So. There are still there -- of Peyton Manning got beat up for two and a half quarters. -- threw for 311 yards against. They still is Allen with doing well I'm actually and I think that's my point so. It's physical aspect I guess it's double figure that -- was one player away. You can just keep on repeating that. Boy did they pick overall they hit the -- matchup this weekend. You know up -- New Orleans and in this sense and -- what do quick quiz but. Start leaning toward what even and I talked about guys who -- hurt right now -- Just start -- new orleans' best players could say they black star power. Like to screen."

Play from 1:19:54[1:19:54]" Read my book -- us they just go cold then yeah they just -- shockingly did you get Deuce McAllister McAllister. And I think I thought about -- name any defensive player no no. I."

Play from 1:20:09[1:20:09]" They won't best. Job. Pretty good players who isn't available. At the safety Roman Harper like -- been on the freshman bella yeah."

Play from 1:20:21[1:20:21]" That's very -- very good so. That's like Brian -- I like timid you know the built offensive stat like ten minutes he's on the break right into -- and a good. But at but anyway that's the public the Saints to get note that we talked about bank and on Denver defense. There was no easier game to predict a couple weeks it would ever played doing what I mean better plate New Orleans 3432. An and that's been New Orleans so far you know they they. -- wow you with their offense. Even -- certainly more steps up next week before the first tropic Robert Meachem at wide receiver catches two catches for 99 yards last week. But defensively they worry. -- help offensively the Vikings -- worry every one. And defensively. If it'll get some heat on Drew -- Monday night. That we're looking at eight league -- high scoring games this year you know that might be looking at -- that we might be looking at eight. 3827. Tied the game."

Play from 1:21:22[1:21:22]" Yes I'm loves those numbers. Well let's. Get out of that first first profanity fans it's -- assessment. The Vikings fans. We -- they had no idea rebate so little thing you know another team Green Bay -- but that division. Green day to forget Aaron Rodgers just for 12 a B equals CDs going to play this week. -- some major problem besides as well other -- that has not played. This stuff. Al Harris is now out temporarily they just lost it and that's what this one all the wire the other data people -- Pay much like -- it's very underrated defense event. Good against the run in the past lost for the season with a chest injury green day. That deep into tickets -- And if they don't get that -- and turned around I don't care per that would skater not. They're going to fight my my point is that that NFC north could be very very much for the taking right now. And it seemed that probably play he'd get. That -- to the best seat in Chicago right now that division even though they're only two until it echo -- have been kind of an ugly finished. -- somebody's team don't get their act together."

Play from 1:22:29[1:22:29]" Let's bring him back full circle that and give back to the Patriots it's San Francisco Russell your rough. We talked to the pats traveling out west the first of four dimensional the top bothered to get to play out of the west coast and the fact that you know they haven't played San Francisco since 2004. Which was a regular season finale in in Foxborough and especially in light of the fact that they have the off week coming off the the did the shocking result against Miami."

Play from 1:22:55[1:22:55]" Well it's -- find out. The tweaks that they made if any. I didn't get to the chances in further defense there. Get a little rest -- mean they don't under any question that they have some defensive issues. No doubt about that but I think we're going to see more of what the New England Patriots are going to be there for the rest of the year he was a very important biweekly that they're obviously we're doing something they never expected. To deal with and about the but the lost but I think are still figured out what kind of team they are without. Tom Brady -- my -- improved football team you know Mike Martz. You know talk about it it's a bad old mind -- nickel back to the Super Bowl super older and six Mike Martz and -- the Bill Belichick hitters no doubt that held each think I would I would kind of wood on the impressionable Belichick and a lot of admiration from Mike Martz. -- and style offense steady play unit tonight in week to week three. -- hit the thirty point total back to back weeks now they if you regular efforts sisco. It was the first time in almost five years they had done that. So they are. Do we think they had dug out. -- other issues they got a young quarterback and the one thing to deal with a Mike Martz offense this sacking the quarterback JT O'Sullivan. Has been the -- nineteen types of four games already. And I think that's what's going to be a big part of this year is that the variety of packages that the Patriots throw at him defensively if they. If Frank Gore gets thirty carries in this game I think the Patriots could be in trouble. But."

Play from 1:24:28[1:24:28]" I'm not just about that Russell because I I liked the way. You know coming off that game against Miami. You might say well yet the defensive line is struggling but I think historically. Backs like. -- don't give New England much trouble."

Play from 1:24:47[1:24:47]" I think he is something if he gets thirty -- that means they're pulling them and their running club that would that -- think he'd get thirty carries because of the thirty -- that means that thirty. -- went doesn't have a football globe talk about -- talk about if Frank Gore headed. If francoeur has eleven carries for a 160 yards. -- less concerned. To be honest with you keep that -- a couple of long runs but secret sisco is in controlling the clock. That you could always come back against their defense -- that -- what I'm saying okay. John will tell you do anything that I usually put out and and it and John knows exactly where I'm going here. I would be carried person posting yards and I think New York aren't important. But carries is what's that cup you play action -- which helped control the clock. And so on so I'll say different gore gets thirty carries its okay to keep away winning the outcome I think he will get very carried. You know you -- an offensive coordinator -- You know last year. Is offense and Arizona had minus eighteen yards rushing -- a modern football they record. So you'd never know what you're going to -- it will bite you on the which is quarterback in harm's -- and abandoned the running you know -- going having thirty Kerry would be certainly an anomaly where I marked exactly that's exactly my point though there are right -- it's okay well I'll be watching in this game. Last year star. Rookie of the year on defense that's potentially this year star rookie year that's -- you thought Patrick -- would sensational rookie. Eddie gotta -- the this year. Already you know spectacular 86 yard interception return yeah Olympic beat Seattle and Seattle last week he would not attend solo tackles. I think this kid can really play and -- I think the Patriots think they have somewhat similar. Jerod Mayo led. I'll be aggressive -- go to respect I think that's the the area I'll be really. I only get ought to -- Mayo was my defensive rookie of the year. Precinct and connect. And I'll think he's disappointed because they haven't bought some bruises and so -- by a lot of Goodwill that these two young linebackers that we bear watching it. I just think this'll be the case of doing the showing gets its resolve. And at this today this could get fired up crowd and so on you know they haven't had much to cheer about -- to go a long time leader. But I also know bill Belichick's record against the other -- speed of eleven straight games in the regular season. If you go back conclude Super -- sporting 75. Well against the NSA. And -- like doing what we've been out here. That would not used to traveling this article as a journalist are all last year."

Play from 1:27:26[1:27:26]" But through very interesting so. Montessori yes absolutely part of the story Russell -- respect that I -- appreciated. Although probably would it was great and we're talking all you adapt this and I would imagine before it actually -- Yeah it's it's it's simply grow by another liquid. Russell because look at."

Play from 1:27:48[1:27:48]" That's so Russell Baxter who was via. Medical research coordinator for ESPN guys you could yeah I honestly it's really easy when he could still wanted to of these things. You could sit and listen to it -- couldn't."

Play from 1:27:58[1:27:58]" Oh yeah yeah like -- little. And and you know he meet you it's funny he was making that point about. You know joking about about Gary and if if it was his first you know keep a cool if it was the first time producing a show and -- modest knowing you know he did his job kind of and if it's funny he says that 'cause you know he's always on the phone so he it sounds like he's -- in the that's off the top of his head and he probably is. But it is not any rhythm offer sheet then he's really doing his job. Pull the wool over our eyes but. And -- he -- you can tell -- the stuff I mean he's been watching football forever so kind of when you watch that many games you just tend to absorb it and you just remember I just kind of goes in the national bank and you can call -- moment yeah your disposal."
