Play from 0:40[0:40]" Look at it the playbook everybody for Thursday here on Patriots dot com radio I am John wrote thanks to a -- and Eddie for the move the -- off today from PFW in progress. The Patriots playbook and now we're ready to look forward to game five of the pat. -- six the National Football League season. Coming up just couple moments Peter King from NBC Sports Illustrated CNN SI dot com. All points in between will be joining pitcher because he wanted to stay tuned for that we'll get his thoughts not only on the game on Sunday but. But the current state of the National Football League as well all the things that might be going on certainly there's some great. Divisional stories within the AFC east the resurgence the bulk of Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins of late. Still can't get over the fact that. Last two times out the Dolphins beat the two teams that -- in the AFC championship game like -- And I'm sure they can't get over that San Diego why -- you talked about over the course of the first. A couple of days program this week so we'll on the -- that's good San Diego perspective actually this week not only promote -- Who covers the Chargers so for the San Diego union Tribune."

Play from 1:52[1:52]" On Tuesday showboat and also on -- from Hank Bauer. Who is a former charger player and coach and current analyst on their radio network it was on Tuesday -- can download podcast there. Well from Tuesday show you when he gets his a point of view on that but look. Forty -- the point of view of this gentleman Peter king of course is dimension. On the NBC football -- America broadcasts in the studio and for Sports Illustrated CNN SI dot com Peter it's a wonderful to beat you thanks for a couple of minutes of your time today. Hey you're welcome John -- Doing well -- very very well it just right off the bat are you all surprised. -- it is taken this New England team a bit of time in May still take get more time. -- to sort of find it helps when you lose -- quarterback like Tom Brady."

Play from 2:38[2:38]" Well. I mean I think. You have to look back at 2001. When they originally replaced Bledsoe and Brady when Bledsoe got hurt. And you know that wasn't exactly smooth sailing. Week by week in that first year. And I think you compound that by the fact that I think Brady started 23 games at Michigan. So in -- Tom Brady had who. Seasons under his belt of a 106000. People screaming. It is the year when he's playing football Matt Cassel. Is -- scout team. And he's running down on kick off on the Patriots first see him at. The USC -- I mean you know this as a whole different animal and I think anybody who thinks. That. That that Matt Cassel would have a simple. Easy. You know clean. Transfer. To professional football like I think would be mistaken."

Play from 3:48[3:48]" I just did it it it kind of makes me look at it this way. It shows. Is that the quarterback position is just so incredibly intricate to. How a team operates. Certainly offensively guys get you know he's the -- hand the ball throws the ball has the play call that kind of stuff but. You know what you consider that largely the -- pitches in play for the Patriots and yet. Quarterback one person missing. It just really put on to me a lot of emphasis on the quarterback and how important quarterback is knowledge of the game -- pro football in general."

Play from 4:20[4:20]" Yeah and you know consider it. You know that it that it didn't sometimes hell I'd like to explain to people you look at Brett Favre going into the -- yeah. And it. The Jets on offense. Run. Combination groups. You know when when their receivers go out in other words which which most teams do. If look like -- is with the Patriots. If Randy Moss is single covered and he doesn't see safety over the top. He and Tom Brady will have this understanding. That you know unless -- Run. Three yard out or something and our our direct route across the middle. Tom Brady and he always had the understanding that -- no safety over the top. They're -- he's going to throw the ball come off you know and he can throw it deep. But. But what happens if there's -- safety maybe -- that area and all that -- mean Percival Matt."

Play from 5:23[5:23]" Cassell. Doesn't have this sort of unspoken communication with Moss that Brady. And -- like Brett Favre learning that yet this year. Against San Diego he threw two interceptions where it looked like he was actually trying to throw the ball over the San Diego Chargers -- Antonio Cromartie. World New Yorkers -- a pain in the air same where you're throwing the ball you idiots well -- clear case that it's more than just. Studying game plan and understanding where you're supposed to go with the ball the communication between a receiver quarterback."

Play from 5:59[5:59]" Is absolutely essential and if you haven't worked together before. That communication. Is going to be choppy at times."

Play from 6:06[6:06]" Absolutely -- I don't know what Peter -- again now joining us here on the play book on the Thursday as the pats and -- Diego Chargers play a Sunday night from Qualcomm. In San Diego."

Play from 6:17[6:17]" I'd love this game yeah you don't like it's going to be so much -- I really integrate."

Play from 6:21[6:21]" I think both teams have a little of the to -- I don't know that we get -- the rivalry feel to it. That we saw in the AFC championship or even in the regular season last year Peter just because you have to the significant individuals out of this game and Brady and in Shawne Merriman but. I think San Diego's really got their back against the wall here they don't need to go two and four."

Play from 6:41[6:41]" Yeah and it is the only Brady and Shawn Marion and but it's also. It's also would Damien Tomlinson. I'm not I would not be surprised. If Darren -- touched the ball more than LaDainian Tomlinson in this game."

Play from 6:58[6:58]" How hurt Tomlin and the."

Play from 6:59[6:59]" Well he's he's not he's not good I mean you know he's got to. He's got to badly sprained big toe. And most of the people watched the Chargers. Believe that I think it is not going to get better this year and so. You know it's hard. For a big -- get better. When. You're put the kind of pressure on a -- of football player put I mean. You know people laugh at an injury like that and hopefully. You know you've got to be able to take that but. When you think about it but I -- injury. Is what not one of the best corners we've ever seen Deion Sanders out of football. He just couldn't play. Anymore. You know yet a couple of bad years toward the end. And he just couldn't play anymore because that's what hurt too much and -- I I'm not saying it's the beginning of the end for Tomlinson but what I am saying is my belief is that Norv Turner. It's looking at his team and saying. I gotta get the ball more than you know 810 -- that -- Daren Sproles for a seventeen to beat the Patriots."

Play from 8:09[8:09]" On top of that Chris Chambers is less than a 100% as well we've seen though. That Antonio Gates is less than a 100%."

Play from 8:16[8:16]" Sure Antonio Gates is ever going to be what we thought he was you know he just serious hurt all last year he come he comes back this series not the same. I just think he's one of those guys who. You know we're going to be target about him like boy imagine if he stayed healthy like Tony Gonzales is that. I don't know I don't I mean these are good days the best tight end in football but I don't know that he had many good days lately."

Play from 8:40[8:40]" This puts an inordinate amount of pressure. On Philip Rivers is he in a position himself with a bruised ribs -- now -- to may be carried distinct."

Play from 8:48[8:48]" I think he's going to have to do and I think the one guy who. Who really has it becomes important now that this team is Vincent Jackson and you know he's an underrated guy the speed guy he's he's a guy who. Kinda got got got drafted as an afterthought by India but has become really important I I just think now. You've got Philip Rivers. You know it is in -- fifty year he he he knows the offense so well would Norv Turner. Turner loved the guy he can make all the Rose. If he gets hot Sunday it's going to be difficult game for the Patriots went."

Play from 9:30[9:30]" Hum. How do you feel about -- The AFC each and being more of a I guess maybe more of a challenge this year and and whether or not it could benefit the Patriots in the long haul. Or just a natural progression special when you lose you know a key player like you've lost vote for New England."

Play from 9:49[9:49]" Well I think that misses one of the classic. NFL things that means you know Pete Brazil's goal when he was commissioner. It wasn't that every team -- but it's have everything have a chance to make the playoffs every year and so what happens this year. In the AFC. Is that. That yet got I think significantly better with Kris Jenkins Calvin Pace and and Brett Favre. The Buffalo Bills got better because you know nobody. Thinks that this I mean it's obviously not very sexy but. Pol pot gluttony comes back from a season ending injury last year and they get markets for -- from Jacksonville and trade. And they're up the middle deep sense is unhappy -- better against the run and six get significantly better overall. And then Miami yet Bill Parcells that old Tony Sparano Parcells mindset. Parcells. In their first year. In New England in with a -- with the Cowboys. And now in Miami. Are always light years better. So you have three teams. Below the Patriots that have all gotten better and you've got the Patriots were trying to win with a -- hasn't started the game. For nine years and quarterbacks so it's obviously going to be. More of a dog fight in the Patriots haven't I had to pick the winner in this division now I'd still pick the Patriots. Because I think that they -- seen. That's built to win at the end. A devastating injury like Brady's. Especially because Matt Cassel is the type of kid everybody knows and says say he's the type it he knows what he doesn't know. And he's not trying to be so -- and he's trying to be one of 45. And that's the best thing for him to be right now going to every week. Put one foot ahead at the other foot don't think grandiose thoughts execute what they've gotten a game plan for -- and you'll be okay."

Play from 12:01[12:01]" Peter how does the Patriots to me coming back of the pack I guess for lack of their race here maybe that is is isn't appropriate phrase here but. How does that come -- back of the pack a little bit affect the race overall in the AFC do you look at it. As it being wide open like a lot of people seem to think that are going."

Play from 12:16[12:16]" You know I I don't remember a year we've we have to go back. I mean we have to go back really before the Patriots. Won their first Super Bowl and maybe even that year. To recall a time. Where we can sit here right now and somebody would think tendencies somebody might think New England. Somebody would say Pittsburg. You know somebody might even say Denver but. There's no. There's nobody out there who can tell you with any certainty. That well it's going to come down to these -- Always been tape gonna come down to knowing littering the New England San Diego -- San Diego Indy. But at this point how much -- you have. And in New England totally unknown you'd figure no win 91011. Games at least. But they really aren't known. I think Indianapolis. Is still going to rise. Because I know what's wrong with -- and I think they can fix that -- what's wrong with a basically -- That that team's. Are looking at India I'm an NBC every Sunday and I can watch all the games. And I can see a little child of each game and I'm looking at Indianapolis and here's what I see. It is absolutely amazing that the safety is crawling down into the bar on first down in the St. paid meaning. Look we don't truck -- a 100% because he isn't. We don't trust that your a 100% you know what Marvin Harrison that old man. And we don't trust that he can beat us so here we go. We are going to crowd the line of scrimmage and what we're gonna do what we're going to stop Joseph Addai. And you know how long I mean did we ever think. That teams would load up the stopped Joseph Addai over state Peyton Manning I don't I didn't think I would see that I thought that would happen with the next. Running back. In Indianapolis some it is high school senior right now he's noble would be the last. Generation of running back under Peyton Manning. But it's happening with Peyton Manning right now I think the only way that the Colts can get back. Is they have to get one of their receivers whether it's Gonzales what what whether it's Reggie Wayne. Could become a first and second down threat. The way that for years Peyton Manning had Marvin Harrison."

Play from 14:45[14:45]" Right -- just gonna say that sounds to me like Marvin Harrison's decline is directly or at least indirectly responsible for the that the Colts may be leveling off to a little bit. Peyton Manning's only injuries notwithstanding."

Play from 14:57[14:57]" Yeah and you know don't let anybody can and don't let anybody try to convince you that Peyton Manning Nicole. You know people have seen his knee say it's a road map and it. It's it's not it's not right yet. And soul you know that's the problem the fact that they started two rookies at guard last week that the problem them back it's only Yugo. They're left tackle for the next ten years that with a groin injury. Forcing Charlie Johnson built from guard to tackle that's the problem. The fact -- Jeff Saturday may have to have knee surgery after the season and a perfect world wouldn't be playing now. I don't think that the huge problem but that's obviously not great. You know the Colts. Are on the precipice the fallen off the cliff. But I I somehow. Think that mean inning Dallas Clark Reggie Wayne Gonzales in the papers the."

Play from 15:53[15:53]" You don't want -- my favorite things is no matter how bad you have somebody else always has it works. I don't know necessarily if the if the Colts wallow in the category towards the Patriots are concerned but. Who else in the AFC then no matter how bad the nets -- somebody else has a little bit worst. Who has it worse and the Patriots other than the obvious teams who have won yet."

Play from 16:11[16:11]" Well -- you hear that hear the team that that I think. I've never seen a team in the NFL or by came at a better time that's the Pittsburgh Steelers. Because. Ben Roethlisberger. In the previous two games Sunday night. When they played so impressively in beating Jacksonville. And by the way what an incredible rivalry that is become. Jacksonville comes to Pittsburgh in December in January last year whipped them both times. And now Pittsburgh goes for a rematch in October down to Jacksonville and Pittsburgh wins there. You know it's like -- It's safe flight last week you know -- start one inning at a time. And it looked like Anaheim was going to win involved they're very big egos are going to win in Boston all all the games but. I think what is happened the Pittsburgh. Is that Ben Roethlisberger right now. They've got to be really really careful with two games before that he was knocked down a total of 31 times either. Tackle sack hurry pressure beat up. I mean. If you're getting knocked down fifteen times a game that you saw what happened in the Super Bowl and Tom Brady went down 23 times. That's that's why the Giants won that game. Well what I thought ray Lewis and training camp this year I've mentioned in passing activate. You guys wrote the script. You know in Baltimore. For how to play Tom Brady because you know out of the Ravens are they never they every -- he. See if it's like it's snowflake. Every single one has different and that's the way the Giants played and I think. You look at the way the Ravens played Brady and you look at the way to ravens'. Rush. Roethlisberger. And and I just I don't know. That that Ben Roethlisberger is going to be standing for sixteen weeks if he keeps it -- as much as --"

Play from 18:06[18:06]" There're two or three stories concerning off field issues I'd be remiss and ask you quickly about. Number one Pacman Jones I've got a -- bit of a couple game last night. The Cowboys safety. Com Joe Flacco was named Carter for the Baltimore Ravens begin those Ravens for the rest of the year. And then of course we're already talked about Marvin Harrison and he's facing a civil lawsuit over that shooting up out of -- Philadelphia bar. How do these stories affect the team's at least in the short term."

Play from 18:33[18:33]" Martin's. Things will not affect the team in any way shape or form. The guys and it -- don't even Marvin barely interacts with them he's a distant creature. You know he's not a bad guy anybody haven't seen but he just nobody on that team knows them. Is involve them stay here here have this state he -- from the team you realize Marvin Harrison. Had the exact same versus sex surgery last year that Peyton Manning had this year you'd think. That these two guys you know they're going to go to the whole thing together -- probably in today. Peyton Manning never communicated. Never even chatted with Marvin Harrison. About hey what's it like to have adverse effects surgery ever talked to. I mean I don't think that won't matter that is the -- opening that was going to happen eventually. The only reason it happened now is that. Torre met -- a debilitating virus. You know very of you know very strange part to diagnose virus that. He would have started the opener. And he would've played for awhile until Marco was ready but -- played better than people thought. So that's that in the -- that the offense has accepted that guy I don't Ravens pretty well and and there are players. Really like flock though they light. The fact that he. That he is kind of you know unyielding. He's the only guy -- and that's not a big deal now you know I mean the Pacman Jones thing. This is this is trouble because you know as Jerry Jerry jones' -- somebody at the Cowboys yesterday today. You know it doesn't sound like this slip and Armageddon type thing but Pacman has the kind of guy who can't afford to have a cup of coffee -- And he's in public -- gets into a fight you know what -- Eddie been drinking I don't know they're still. Investigating this right now but. Yeah and will the commissioner do something it was basically -- you know Pacman Jones had two strikes on him and he gets fouled off the next state pages I mean he had yet one -- one incident left. Now my feeling is that Jerry probably. Will be able to smooth this over. And and there'll be a phone call from park avenue in New York downed the Dallas. And the phone call Pacman Jones basically say. You're a lucky as a man in the world because we're not -- you from football for the rest your life right now we're going to give you another chance. But you better be in bed at 830 every night yeah ain't got you know how this thing happened you know what happened here that is unbelievable. He's got a bodyguard who travels with -- everywhere he does the 7-Eleven -- copy. This guy walks in the -- win the set and all this guy did. At 11 o'clock at night with -- right at a time ago they -- not not ready to go. And that's what this argument was over this guy would take it home. Because his whole thing is he's like -- high school junior is not allowed out after 11 o'clock. And so that's where there's problems started and so you know again. -- AA you know as much as you'd think that the guy should get it he just hasn't gotten."

Play from 21:56[21:56]" I can't get over the fact. That that Jerry Jones has basically. Writing on the fact that he is to a these. Quote unquote shall we say personalities on the same team -- and Owens and he's banking on these two guys coming through and being model over and in order to get this team to the real potential to the Super Bowl again it just absolutely is and it."

Play from 22:16[22:16]" Yet really is it is."

Play from 22:18[22:18]" Well let me bring about -- full circle through to the game on Sunday night and and I'm not sure how much of the the prep that you done for the game thus far but we've got a touchdown and a little bit new set already. To -- that you're really looking forward to the game what have you been able to find from these two teams heading in that gives you a reason. To look forward to this game on them."

Play from 22:37[22:37]" Well. Because I think they're they're that did have an air of desperation by the Chargers. Because if you look at San Diego right now do you look at it team it really is under achieved. Early on I mean they're two and three they feel like basic before water by then I'll they probably got jobs dot -- game in Denver. -- and you know they've they've played poorly a couple of other times and I think. You look at them and they're going to say what we cannot afford another hiccup you go to win four. With the schedule we have down the line I mean they got to go to Buffalo they got to go to London deplete the Saints. It's just. They've got a very very tough schedule coming up so. Even though the Patriots. Are the Patriots. They just feel like they can't lose at all and it and it's -- the Patriots go I mean it's just. He's the type of games that Matt Cassel going to have to win he's got a lot of tough game on the road against the play off. You know everybody is always going to be looking over their shoulders -- where's Tom until Matt Cassel wins. A few of these games that you know logic says he's probably not supposed to win -- becomes."

Play from 23:52[23:52]" Absolutely I think that's very fair and I think that's the -- most fans round here really kind of look at it they're like okay you know so that's the guy the coaching staff has already said. He's our guy they've been refused you know others to come in and work gotten what have you so look now on how he can beat the guy you're right he's got to start with games like this."

Play from 24:10[24:10]" You know the one other thing about -- on the reason why I would be very encouraged. If I were Patriots and you know I've made -- name I've -- name you a few quarterbacks right now I'm going to tell you from about after we after -- game -- it. Jay Cutler. Tony Romo Donovan McNabb. Aaron Rodgers Philip Rivers Brett -- All of a guy like name -- take part about it there but all those guys lightening. Matt Cassel got a higher completion percentage. And what what what's important about that and what it tells me. Is that. Matt Cassel is doing at the very least what -- absolutely have to do to keep this team on track. He's throwing the ball accurately. Where is so far you know basically. In in four games three and three quarter gain. You know averaging less than one interception per game. If you can continue doing that area you know if if if he basically can continue on that path. That is the path to the Patriots being a playoff team and then -- get in January and who knows."

Play from 25:25[25:25]" Yeah that's right it's anybody's game Peter King again from NBC to be part of the broadcast on Sunday night and of course you can see him Sports Illustrated CNN has had a common. A lot of other great places as well and you've got him right here it's on the play book today boy that talked again Peter thanks so much for renewal time with a."

Play from 25:41[25:41]" Thank you very much -- you have a great day."

Play from 25:43[25:43]" Uga will think okay Peter -- the one and only. What are -- thought web radio at Patriots dot com you get to is here on the program. -- radio at Patriots dot com if you like call and yeah out you can do that Bible late -- 437482. -- area code -- late in the number 543. 7482. In addition to your comments and what Peter King had to say in a 1 get a chance to to talk -- we were hoping that -- important time. This year that would happen because he has been -- against prior. -- the season on a Patriots playbook and fell you know now that he's part of the NBC you know broadcast crew pregame stuff with the Bob Costas and Dan and he's in -- Collins' worth and all those guys really well -- one. Bring on which this week that was horribly -- it rushed for you and that was good stuff always -- talk and him could you got some thoughts on his thoughts great. But also on Thursdays we need to know how you feel this game was going to play out. Kids this is this is going to be a tough sell this is a tough game. You heard Peter already LA. He's looking forward to it. Because it is a special type of a regular season early season matchup when a team already has it back to the wall in San Diego. And team -- still trying to prove itself with. New people in you know familiar slot like the Patriots. And who wins this game finds it is still very much in the mainstream things in the AFC. Who loses this game that are big doubts about and -- I do agree with what ADR was saying earlier I think -- this as -- lost will be worse for the Chargers. Then it would be for the Patriots going in how much more. Although a blow -- this is really add this Sunday night's game I think it adds a lot. -- let me know what your breakdown -- let me know what you're score prediction for Sunday night will be. You think the past when grip. On the Corey isn't -- you think the charges will hold on tell me what the score is in line. That's what we do on Thursday we try to predict the score the football game coming up. On Sunday night Sunday afternoon or Monday or whenever the Patriots blanked the -- we going to do here today web radio at Patriots dot com. That tell you reach. We're going to take time out come back and know each ball was Ramallah. Note that we have on the game coming up on Sunday night Russell Baxter NFL research coordinator for ESPN. He will join us in the second our program is all over this could -- stocked up on football handful for the -- how much better can it possibly -- eight. Not much that we might pain in my humble in. Right here utley and I know -- and but her Indian if they were we all agree Christmas rhetoric cliche is."

Play from 29:12[29:12]" Eleven acute over catering had a good to beat reporter hot -- match or naked carried a bar did you dedicate drink and give them food down never forget let me get I'll let you go back."

Play from 30:45[30:45]" Making another run and MLS cup championship -- playoff. Play from 31:45[31:45]" Along side the playbook for a Thursday. Russell but for me as being -- joining us here approximately ten minutes so. In the meantime this game on Thursday night at 8:15 eastern time kick off on knows -- If -- and I'm tickled at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. The Patriots and I'm sure that this is -- The conversation this week although mature works but typically don't recall mentioning in my elbow maybe the PFW guys did this. Bomb the Patriot. Are putting a mark of twelve straight road victories on the line. And that is the second longest. Road winning streak in NFL history. Right still got a streak intact road win consecutive road wins. In the regular season twelve in a row. So -- That is something that they certainly could to keep themselves. In shape for and also should also mention that the Patriots have won eleven consecutive games. During the month of October. And a streak that dates back to 2005. If you go back even further 2003 the Patriots -- twenty and three. In October games. They swept October in 36. And of course last year's well. They have a chance now to him moving to twelve straight October wins. With a win in San Diego on Sunday. And then the close of the month went back to back home games here against Denver and the Denver which is a Monday night game. And then St. Louis will get back to the rebel rather normal 1 PM eastern time Sunday start well. -- for the end of the month. But I just you know again love and go inside the numbers tried to give you a bit of Simmons -- remission you may already be aware about shore but. It helps me kind of stay intact with the game are you know whenever the game is played and his -- that kind of shoot four and and -- refer back to. You know collect in the paper it was all right they kept the winning streak alive right I heard that this week on the you know on the on the website so that's that's the kind of double we aim at trying to get two years in districting interest. The Patriots record is three and one obviously go one in. I'll -- the first four games. It is three straight seasons now -- Patriots have begun the season by winning at least three of their first four games. They did in the season that and she's in 2006. -- They're the only team in the NFL and I find this -- little -- shocking. But they're the only team in the NFL. That I won at least three of their first four games. In each season and 2000 and that's right. That's right that comes from the Patriots and them. At least three of their for instance 2006. Shocking. I mean do you think of all these other you know great teams and in Indianapolis had a big treat Anemia but -- off to a to a to start this yourself anyway I guess that. You know again as -- with Peter King a couple of moments ago more my favorite sayings in sport. Is no matter how bad you have -- always says it works. And so this gives you a chance to kind of count your blessings a little bit -- certainly things could be better but. You also have an encouragement they knew that things will be better. Based on what you think. I said this yesterday I'll say it again right now I that this -- a half hours old go actual little over that with with a -- during PFW but. Quite frankly I feel better about this team now that I did this time a week ago. I feel better about this team's chances of winning this Sunday night. Then I did this time a week ago before they embarked on this two game west coast road trip. Even though I was fairly confident that they would win the game against San Francisco last week which of course they did thirty to two point one. There was and there were just things in that game I all. They gave me reason to believe that this team is not a learning curve innings in an upward to -- not a downward turn. I on. If this team -- they cloak. Stephen just asking may be able to carry them you know over the rough times is like Adam Vinatieri did. You know when this team was just you know coming into its own especially in 2001. -- could -- you know give them an opportunity to win some games. That's one of the things that I'm convinced of now after watching him again. Play this last week against San Francisco the guys' money right now we hope that you can ride that'll -- knock on wood. Real quick Islamic and you don't jinx anything here. Very superstitious on the football the second most of the war one baseball idol but you put. Very superstitious when it comes to things like to always have been probably always will be. Arm. But that part in courage me and even though. We liked the -- on Laurence Maroney and I'm early guilty of that here as much as anybody. I'm encouraged by the overall depth. The Patriots running backs have right now. Com I've always like anymore a heck I like him at Texas Tech -- dwindled agree college player I was the we have the potential to be a better player -- he's realizing that little bit. LaMont Jordan if he's healthy and no reasonably he won't be for Sunday at least at this stage of the game a great 12 punch. And Kevin Faulk still gives you that third down option it is very difficult for defenses to defend. And when you don't have to do it all kinda guy with speed and power like -- Shawne Merriman granted they've got good players we don't trials -- hurt. Shaun Phillips you know who knows I here here's -- thing. That will make his presence will make a defense work. And work hard like that versatility. -- what we saw from well Wes Welker last year. Teams have to know that that inside middle route and that short you know 78 yard curl route. That's going to be there in the got to defend that and if they defend -- early in the put too many guys in the box and that's going to open things up for guys like Moss and Gaffney. Down the field. And I'm looking forward at least we saw it right we thought last week with a 66 yarder to Moss we saw it. It exist is still there Cassell got the arm to reach him. I'm encouraged by that. So the weapons are all still in play the one thing about the all the -- does concern me is he hasn't seen in the offensive line. As Peter King just those himself you know what you you know hey it was it was you know at best a mixed bag when Tom Brady took over for Drew Bledsoe. The by the end of the year. Look at what happened the rest is history now -- and that you know Matt Cassel can lead this team was suitable. Could happen may not happen. But the fact is we have to cut him. The lack we have to give him the benefit of the doubt we have to give him the chance. To improve with this team to work quit this team to be in game situations with this team. Game is much different practice practice. Talk and -- Where's where's where's Alan Iverson we need him. Practice that's right practices -- malpractice and it. Exactly right. In practice. Not again right right -- then it's on my favorite I'm. From the group from a AI gospels -- yeah we -- practice. And you can't do in practice what you can do in games -- match that it is. And practice. Yeah. -- So quick and shall twentieth Tony for entry athlete pro at. Oh my goodness unbelievable but he but you know what it's right you can't replicate. In a game what you get in practice and vice verse he can't do it as a Matt Cassell needs that time. To work with these guys and I seen enough I think that as long as he stays healthy and the -- liking -- keep his -- up right that's the big thing that concerns me right now. That I think this team can continue to improve. Anke continue to did it to be right where we expect them to big. Defensively. I think that there are more question marks on the -- global it all starts with the secondary. Even though -- I've seen enough of Deltha O'Neal to the to think that you know he probably will be the guy although he does scare me from time to time I don't know about you but he does scare me scared little last week. On oh is it one was -- both of the post. Forty -- quarterly. Scares me. He becomes a much better defense back if we can get you know Richard Seymour to be much better defensive tackle. I do like the fact. That they really switched it up mentally against JT O'Sullivan last week to give him different looks and the win a nickel and dime packages to pencil -- In on the played pretty 35 they played three 32 -- they you know they threw in a bunch of different things which I thought was. Creative yet and it active. As well. I'd love to see that type of thing again although I'm not sure the situation will call for. One thing I know for sure is that receivers. In theory should have a tougher time because you do you know I'm I've never been convinced that the receiver for San Diego are. Among the best. They're good solid receivers I don't know that there are among the best. In -- Chris Chambers is not able to go. If he's not -- ago. Then I'm thinking well. This only improve Patriots chances of being able to kind of he awful norms and -- Strippers in an email earlier. And he is according to the San Diego media here Chargers may have gotten some good injury news wide receiver Chris Chambers was walking normally. With a left ankle taped. Better than the prognosis he said with a smile feels better than yesterday if that's any indication. Chambers ankles -- and rolled in a pile of players after reception at the one yard line Sunday in Miami. Said he thought he had broken it initially in the outlook wasn't good Monday for him to play this week. And even Wednesday he wasn't quite ready to declare himself well go for Sunday. But is quoted as just walking right now that's a good thing as for tomorrow he when I wake up in the morning. Excellent from a and -- union trio of in -- and -- that oh looks like pick of the game time decision. Even so is -- 100%. 95%. 85% is going to pavilion the Patriots secondary. Who knows. Peter King told Vincent Jackson could very well be the eighty on Sunday night. No doubt about it and Jackson probably will line up against Deltha O'Neal. And because O'Neal is the the even always a veteran he's the new movie for the Patriots. And he's the one liable to get picked on obviously I think you know Ellis Hobbs get picked on a little bit but Hobbs you know. May not be working against chambers on that out of the ball. I'm not sure who actually get the start of my chambers buster Davis someone like them any. -- and not me I'm not sure who to start but at this stage of the game you know Hobbs may be catching a bit of a break. Which is why I think guy like Jackson on O'Neal may be the key match up to watch looking at a from a defensive perspective on Honda. That's one thing O'Neal can somehow. You know hold his own there than the Patriots will be at least in better shape than I -- critical right now. And just not old. On LaDainian Tomlinson being done. I think Tomlinson. You know he's got the toe injury even though he has not performed yet up to the capabilities to which we have seen him perform. In previous years maybe the injury may be at his age of twenty -- I don't know. I just died I think he's going to be. I think he's going to be. These can be the -- okay I think talent is not done the Patriots can hold Tomlinson down it's huge bonus but the expecting yours Darren Sproles. And even though I do think they miss you know Michael Turner no doubt about it -- try to fill that role he has done a pretty effective they will find more ways to give him the ball. -- that a couple of big returns a couple big plays against the Patriots in the past. Proehl has a hard guy to catch up too much -- bring down is one guy that you gotta keep and what have you and when you get a hold of and you'd better hold on. There's even at five foot six he's got legs that are just you know like you don't try to tackle Mack truck. LB BK I think you know basically limiting touches to Darren Sproles the camp and when he does get the touches limit his yak. Limit his yards after the catch where yards you know after contact. Either way that will be forced Philip Rivers to try to put this team. On his shoulders. With a less than healthy gates gates does indeed go tight end could be Brendon numb on -- on it could be. And he's got a couple of you know my plays catches against the Patriots in the recent past as well I'm sure many -- you will recall. I mean this is just going to boil down to intensity and who wants it more. Plain and simple. Intensity and who wants it more. I'll stick by my original prediction I'm I'm giving -- all -- pro Patriots -- here and I want you. To tell me what you think about the game time for you to come through now your score prediction for Sunday night. Web radio at Patriots dot com Biron off let's go get that I know you're out there. I know you're listening. Take the time and the score let me know where you're calling from or where you -- you know writing from. What Goran what do you think the team win whichever team your ticket. I'm gonna say right now. I hate to do I am usually hate him because I've been so positive on the Patriots those are today. But just because of the desperation factor and sometimes I just don't think you can measure that. But just because of the desperation factor I'm gonna say Chargers. 24 Patriots. 22. Now. That would mean that the Patriots would cover for those that like to play the game. It would also mean the Patriots if they by some -- can have the football last potentially. You get a -- drive down the field let him to ask you when it potentially. That's why I'm thinking that's what I'm thinking could happen on Sunday night the game could go down to the end. But maybe San Diego plays a little keep boy at the end never gives the pats chance to. To drive down the field at the global black and -- or maybe some for some reason Matt Cassel can't get the team down the field or get the task in position to win. Anything's possible I'm thinking -- on the 24:22. Am here in that variety in Lowell. That may we found it right and Russell Baxter ESPN's medical research coordinator joint appearance that Patriots playbook after Russell."

Play from 47:35[47:35]" Hello John and I don't know I didn't -- just anymore it's everybody's you know everybody off the left coast. The other guy I mean come on what went into the to a -- for -- for a you haven't done that he's going to try to find it now. Apparently according to get there at your at a pair mean. It's never bit -- BA -- really has ever non I'm non I'm not important enough to get out there just let's get a Tampa. Yeah well that was for a college football game campus -- data correlation yeah close. I suppose if that happened February going to be better believe me well I will get -- college basketball or -- go home. And just in case -- Patriots decide to make it our Superbowl parent to -- against it -- that would."

Play from 48:20[48:20]" Media that's always a bonus right. Always a bonus salaam what are your thoughts on on the the Patriots and San Francisco 49ers last week and I have been telling the fans this week. That frankly I feel better about the team now that I did this time a week ago it doesn't really mean that I think that the win the Sunday. But I just all enough to -- I think that there is hope that this team can continue proven -- where they want to be. Day all his time in the middle of December."

Play from 48:48[48:48]" Sometimes the simple things it work best -- you know how many times simply watched. A football game where you know we think in the back of our minds you know to think. If if somebody goes long. If you don't complete the pass. In at least gives you the impression they're going to go law. You know maybe later that day. Sometimes. -- what -- Gillick you give a mobile quarterback on the first play of the game let it run up the middle field for thirty yards and and that kinda keep defense on the field full time. Well you know after watching Matt Cassel not really attempt a long ball per say. It is his first a couple of starts I don't it real long -- to really bought. You know what became editor Tom Brady but as far as the game -- went you know we got the -- little what we saw. Last year. Not only with Tom Brady of course -- quarterback and so on and that was long passer rating want that big big big difference I think that's kind of loose the Patriots sent. You know I -- they still had a little problem I would pass protection because of that canceled what that's I think that's less. About the offensive line did more about. The inexperience and -- purse say immediate given up a lot more sex picture already for more sacks the last three games. You know that's up by coincidence you know Tom Brady I don't dissect our times -- Super -- exact. They don't give a 21 sacks in the regular season all last year so you know that's. Yes sometimes sex is its seeding. Number because you know it's easy give applaud -- restart sport offensive line that's novel -- the case but I think the Patriots you know they had two weeks to get ready for this game. The Tigers are obviously improved to but not of the Patriots class right now I think that's pretty obvious and it was kind of like old times it's Mike Martz against Bill Belichick. We've seen them and a few important games."

Play from 50:40[50:40]" Very true and Mike Martz is never -- keep -- put his offense on the field long and of the Patriots did a masterful job of playing people."

Play from 50:48[50:48]" Did I mean they they they took advantage of what. Different sisco doesn't do well. And they want to one of those games received its sisco or a Mike Martz offense in the suburbs could give Michael Vick should head coach hate that Mike Martz is around somewhere. Just glad Barrichello in Detroit. But it wasn't the usual. You know carries for nine yards rushing. It was -- usual you know five or six turn over sometimes of giving up a whole lot load of sex I think JT O'Sullivan was actually sacked once syndicate. This was more than the Patriots. Doing a good job of them holding on to the football. In terms of the short passing game mixing up with a long passing game getting enough from the running game and so just very well orchestrated game plan but Bill Belichick and company."

Play from 51:34[51:34]" Absolutely sell papers nugget to move to three and one on other tied in the loss column now Buffalo has Buffalo lost for the first time as well and you know even -- Buffalo has a by I this week. You know I think we've seen enough from Buffalo at least at this early stage -- that. They're improved he surely have to say the Miami's broke how about Miami I know this one. Probably dawned on US and is a game was over last week against the Chargers the Miami in the last two games beat. Has beaten the team the -- pitchers they have each average game."

Play from 52:03[52:03]" You haven't we were sitting up there in the room and so what did you shown to you know -- what a funny league it is that's last year this team finally won a game. They beat Baltimore in overtook the overtime to win their only game of the year. That's -- to start. I -- they come and they beat the last two teams like you said and it in the AFC championship game at it and kudos to that -- that the American. And you know. And that's why indicate you know I'd I'd probably do this editorial at least three or four times a year. Don't get -- he's scheduled. Don't look we've we've got to play down the road and so what this league is totally unpredictable. The hardest games for teams the wind. -- he's going to be in that position this week job. It is winning became you're expected to win and that's when he starts separate from the really good teams are because I don't have to win -- twenties. The -- the game sure expected to win and -- hold your -- in the game that are you know tossup work you're not expected to win and that they get to play. Stay consistent and so on and that's what might be this week will be very intriguing to watch him play Houston this week."

Play from 53:13[53:13]" Yup that's very true aren't let's take a look at the catalyst to start -- because. Miami is that Houston and I never thought at least any time soon that I would Miami as a road favorite. But they've been favored by two or three points throughout the course this week at Houston Houston being one of the few winless teams still left in the league. Is this the week that used to get their first or is Miami for real."

Play from 53:34[53:34]" Well this is really intrigued because. I think Houston got its first win last week we've. The 55 minutes. Well my -- and ocean. You know it's funny you know and the -- you remember this -- one most famous Monday night games ever. When the Colts were given Tippett -- 3514. With about -- left. That put it was more -- offensive flurry. That -- that this was I mean you couldn't make this stuff up the purse Peyton. Top sepia rookie tight idiot for a touchdown. That Sage Rosenfels does and Brett Favre imitation and I don't fault for that he tried to win -- it all comes -- Gary -- Then -- Roosevelt rolled out of the left an integral to the right. And all the sudden Robert Mathis strep. This is -- you know the -- find a way to get the ball and then Reggie Wayne with one of the more credible grabs. They you'll ever see in the left sided and sound and that would've felt capped off with an interception. And boy what what an afternoon you would talk about. What could be an -- wintry used to just to get a more pitched nine point the second time they repeat the Colts. After the Colts just to get back the 500. And suddenly you know Portland -- Jacksonville loss Sunday night in -- tighten their. Hopefully not running away from anybody in the division but. What is in -- that we've talked about my replied yeah -- out -- strangers that helped. The Miami Dolphins and there were beaten Houston Texans and it's not just wanted three times including the last two years. Com. -- really can't type without looking for here is a battle one. A cakewalk with the first pick in the draft. Sees it from Michigan if you well well right. Two years ago mark away -- the first pick in the draft makes from North Carolina State they would go ahead and sell the right defensive end Goodman as well look good for me Mario with two more sex last week. You know. Maybe the Reggie Bush are both going to turn out to be pretty good players. Go wanted to wood two to six but this is one of the games that money and he is expected that -- the -- given their success. And in this craziness of the league. It wouldn't be surprised at Houston did knock the ball. That that's what that this once cut the call because. You know the excitement of a young football team like Miami coming after two wins in now going on the road pumped up just going to be a little toward -- but I really don't think -- bad it paid. Even though they. Regularly this year given up thirty pointed it at all -- games."

Play from 56:18[56:18]" Yeah I would -- and we'll agree. That if there's -- week for Houston to a you know prove themselves worthy I think this might be -- week is I'm I'm not sold on Miami it may take another three or four weeks. If for a lot of us at least here you know in the Patriots corner to be -- Miami even though. A mile right we probably should be older but they took a couple of weeks ago here in Foxborough but you know what. I think that people still look at the game is still being a little bit Lucas."

Play from 56:44[56:44]" Yet because I think it. Com I think people look at that game -- game plan. Because of what they did or anything like kudos for them pulling it off don't I mean actually go -- violation would change. What Miami's done but now -- The more interesting thing what one should start not get people. Is how are you expected -- to do. When you're expected to knuckle people mean Miami you know we we -- that they were going to pick up where they left belt we knew they'd be better. Okay can't take much worse or what -- which you ought to do given the green got their now with the Bill Parcells. And so one Jeff Ireland you know more more more part so I can anybody you'd catch Bill Parcells is this something. I think -- people New England while now. Okay you bring instant credibility. Okay so I mean that -- that often it's still finished with fourteen. But I think they'd just have shown I think the term we views on near here ESPN is it looked like more like a professional football team. And that's that began their defense by the way. Has really -- pretty well. Putting much. You know they got lit up the first two games. And the secondary -- defensive backs will quickly returned the wrong way a lot of times they've really got lit up -- Anquan Boldin and Arizona. Another they're they're getting some pass rush from a young defensive line who would have thought it no more Jason Taylor and all of a sudden they're able to. They complaint on the defensive blinder played really good run defense as well. The creek club before another time. But I'll because Houston. Chalk up wherever you want help Miami win that game. This game -- talk of the third -- they're going to be more than a little anorexic and so on but. I'm going to take interpret."

Play from 58:33[58:33]" Buffalo as we mentioned has the week off this week end of the Jets or at home. Against the Cincinnati bungled does that -- to call them bundles again."

Play from 58:41[58:41]" Well would fire the worst starts since before Marvin Lewis was there. I wish he had to you know they have shown some depressing that showed some life. The bosses -- you know they did some overtime yeah Cowboys in the Cowboys last week it -- be cal was going to run away for a moment. And Cincinnati hung in there and so one on either the Jets you know. I think the jury still out on them as well it really lit up Arizona 56 point two weeks ago Dolan but. I took -- give up 48 to -- Diego Chargers as well. It's got its kinda hit -- well AM. You know defensively I don't think the Jets are great and I think. Don't be surprised to Cincinnati's able to move the football and don't be surprised trying to be cute little or Cedric Benson. What do week club sport and Chris Perry could millions already fumbled five times in five games. And lost three of them there has fueled concern varies you know. First former first round pick who came with a lead a few years ago but a lot time being. -- that he's playing he's seven trouble hanging onto the football also believe god. Don't be surprised if you see a little more Cedric Benson. It just probably find a way to win the game but I won't be surprised at Cincinnati governor Pete."

Play from 59:56[59:56]" And arm couple other games that I think there. What -- the bear watching Baltimore playing at Indianapolis and both teams are two and two. The Colts obviously there they pulled the Houdini against Houston last week. -- Baltimore still intrigues me -- these fans and maybe when Joe Flacco who officially got the nod for the rest of the season. Today in fact by by the Ravens. One he has his time underneath him to be -- long lines that how the Patriots trying to nurture Matt Cassel to bring along a little bit. Quote I mean the Ravens could be dangerous by the end of the year but are they dangerous now."

Play from 1:00:32[1:00:32]" Well listen. The defense they're either they just got done playing two really really physical football. Games the -- nighter at Pittsburgh and and came home. And really seem like we're going to pull one out against Tennessee at Tennessee Italy tried and then that was it but blitz and -- four games Adam. They haven't given up -- a touchdown program this year -- defensive unit. Now China has only given up three touchdowns in four games their offensive unit has given up two. On fumble. Costly problem Monday night game against Pittsburgh a couple of weeks ago the Colts though. Well deep sense is kind of the four letter word. For them right now especially coming on the ground they've already given up almost 490 yard gain program. Which is this coming week -- but this kind of decent. Have solved itself I know they're still Bob Sanders and so on there as usual they're little short handed but I mean. They're really getting ball control from their -- running game. Commuter these -- numbers and probably don't need all that much. What makes him the way to say that but the Colts W one for 271 yards and four games this year. -- that collected seven yards a game they've given up 754. Okay so -- get out rushed almost 321. Of the -- basis and so. Yet. The meaning has somehow found -- way to win two games. By the way ostriches with the Colts include the players what their last world -- what you're -- dealt of course that would give the San Diego has resorted to yes and I think Chicago. On Sunday night of course that they -- heartbreaker Jacksonville couple weeks ago was well of them they kind of need to get righted the ship -- here but. We gonna see this matchup -- we giggle because it's Baltimore Erik Cole. Yeah -- You know it just funny that the twenty -- by the way of the Colts beat -- 1984 was the first year hard to believe it was. Baltimore's defense is tough. They forget the Colts are going to need -- just like Pittsburgh had a couple weeks to wear their hats virtually -- at Joe Flacco. I'll -- the Colts meet you with Dwight Freeney with Robert Mathis. You know upon which an occasion they need to force the be young quarterback into mistakes. You know -- the Colts lit them up in Baltimore this Sunday night but this defense is a lot more healthier than it was a year ago would give the Colts offensive line problems. You know that it is going to be tough and it can be real tough game it's if it's somewhat of -- turning point -- You know Baltimore shall we need to go. Three straight losses after winning the first two games but it -- get the -- that's what happens."

Play from 1:03:20[1:03:20]" Yeah I'm counting on to. Jacksonville you mention them up just short while ago Jacksonville had a tough game with Pittsburg. In that they've physically I thought certainly have things in hand -- in a blues in the game and they have to go on the road played Denver. Never seem to be the Jekyll Hyde team offense defense all offense no defense good home team. Or we know bottom on the road him in the one and ones so far. Jacksonville though might have to play a little bit more what sense of urgency here at two and three going to -- can they pull often Denver."

Play from 1:03:50[1:03:50]" And let's not forget what in the Denver last year it and -- beat the Broncos and when the Broncos were two without a today got off to a good start and so want but. You know you watch him play against Pittsburgh is even though they had the lead in the game they got out anybody over 200 yards. Inactive the last two weeks Jacksonville -- Even against Houston they've lost that -- be beaten overtime. Teams and you know kind -- winnable podium -- field on but I know they've got some guys. Current secondary right now which -- also very very different safety former first round pick has been now. This quarter and air William JC'S_B. William Petersen who'd kind of been a journeyman around the league they won the -- of litigating. He struggled so much last week but. Well -- you do you do prevailed ahead Denver is very Jacqueline -- you want to -- week -- showed up to the offense doesn't but -- often -- that the defense doesn't. I love. You know Jacksonville had to be careful bearded can not get themselves headed in the spiral. You know the only plus five games electoral loss here they always already before the end the -- the Colts I mean the Titans. What do you think they're pretty or not they are carbonneau and if you keep on digging yourself cold. Well lately Jacksonville I mean Blake can object -- had to be careful of that finally -- the find themselves three or four games out of first place. Before the midway point part of the season. Oh but unfortunately. I think Denver passing game was going to give them a lot of problems of -- of Ben Roethlisberger Pittsburgh passing game gave -- a lot of problems. Did not get an enormous amount of heat on the quarterback. Like they expected to -- and I injectable to troubling -- cuddle lean toward Denver."

Play from 1:05:37[1:05:37]" I got three NFC games Russell that to me are kind of -- a toss up here in terms of how interest in could they -- good could they be. What might what might draw in the anyone of these games and I want you to pick what you think will be the best game of the three Chicago Atlanta and Atlanta both teams three into. Carolina at Tampa blow. Carolina's for a want to have a 32 and Dallas at Arizona and Arizona is all 32 cowboys' four and one which game is going to be the best."

Play from 1:06:06[1:06:06]" Well I'll tell -- put up put them all into. I'll put -- three different categories okay I'll pick the one we're going to talk about aren't. I think the most intriguing game in Chicago and Atlanta bristled when there's going to be forward to it if it's Atlanta had already match with a did a year ago. In terms of wins and I think the most important -- Carolina at camp today. Divisional game right hand Carolina off to a great start. Go to the table which it's real quickly -- Jeff Garcia this week you know consider Brian -- so but as far as importance -- and Carolina's head table numbers of late to beat -- the last ten times. I think the most entertaining game is obviously -- an Arizona. And I'll be very intrigued find out held the Cowboys secondary. Which is not a good defensive -- played well until late. Com. How they handle. They passing attack and it is good today even without it fumbled and -- which that surprised you know they get a Steve Preston it was warmer punt returner. You know it -- they get the ball pitcher James adopt. Larry Fitzgerald who just that's a touchdown machine just find his way to get into the end zone. Now of course it depends also what version of Kurt Warner going to show up. It is going to be six turn over court Kurt Warner particular before touchdown pass Kurt Warner that would negate that -- could turn it over. You know I think it -- I was looking. The dynamic dynamic career early career to date Tony Romo. Going back the lectured -- explode at least one interception. In each of the last nine games including the playoffs while he just seemed so they can. Wanted to -- with those groups again that's about Alou go back to the Buffalo wanted making luxury confided storming that you would negate. Good field just. People just want all the sudden. Because Scottish culture it's likely he's feel like Drew Bledsoe was early in his career we kind of look at say where we're effect -- it. We're -- grow into. And it just seemed that it would toady will want so that we've got a got an awful lot of weapons. But you know go to because obviously -- to get to six touchdown pass that was pretty vulnerable. We've seen the wild games this year most of on Monday Night Football this shapes up as a wild game of the week."

Play from 1:08:24[1:08:24]" Yeah I would I would tend to agree. And I'm kinda -- reported Dallas and Arizona let me talk -- about Monday Night Football -- brought up the phrase -- night as you guys game. On Monday night as the Giants and Cleveland now just on the service things. You have to in this match but you know Cleveland is one and three. They want to try to claw back into this they'll be at home they'll have their the the intensity they'll have a camera they'll have in all of that the talk all about them. Is it possible that they are not as bad as they have played this year that they are actually closer. To the team that won ten games a year ago and you know do they have enough to be able to do -- New York because right now. For me and for my invitation anyway New York probably has the most complete team top to bottom of the -- this season."

Play from 1:09:07[1:09:07]" Well first thing on action johnnies are they going to bring any better players with the cameras. Wouldn't go up to take them. Yeah I think it is well defensively listen they've been very early disappointment. You know they've spent. Well whoever did -- have a draft -- first second and third with older traits. You know did the Brady Quinn was the first. Topic that they forfeited a year ago but you know Corey Williams to give -- second round -- to the Packers. Short Rogers they give up a third round pick and lead quarterback we bought him. I took alliance the so they you know they really thought they had shored up their defense. But there are differences in. It's had its moments. But also has had its bad moments and so on but offensively wouldn't -- this football team and -- just going to be curious to see how much patience. Romeo Cornell truly hands with that Derek Anderson and let's think he's the cause necessarily. But he he really -- kind of all the little. Well on hard times lead the league last year like I I hearken me too. The game against the -- last year where you know the one of those classic while they should win this game and it'll give him in the playoffs. And they want to throwing four interceptions and I don't -- collective competence on his part. I -- one -- he -- zeroed -- Braylon Edwards this year Braylon Edwards is amongst the league leader dropped passes. So that's about it here we get older guys which you shouldn't be anyway to quarterback. The -- you're zeroing in on Kitna and wonderful ball that's a problem was."

Play from 1:10:39[1:10:39]" Well here's a -- Here's a guy that was -- Pro Bowl last year over a guy like. Wes Welker to an end and well remember having the conversation a year ago you know how can you not take Braylon Edwards and you know how can you take what walker and I just you know. I look at consistency and I realized that you know Edwards may be having a tougher year but consistent -- needs to eat with a lot of guys legitimate big time player not."

Play from 1:11:04[1:11:04]" Let's say they're you're right -- dynamic Geary put a big touchdown number -- we rarely seen. Him this year where he was effective and so on and that you know that that's a problem for a team that you know. It is. Really kind of looking for another wanted to know they have cattle Winslow. -- individual who's in the bank field but -- I think listen in -- Joe Jurevicius this year because he's been he's been hurt. And on the PUP list. Donte' Stallworth with another -- and you'll see that former Patriot regal fruitless late for everybody. It -- available yet as well that it sort them as well but I don't think that's as much a problem. Is that this just seeing light can just -- observation basically people lost confidence on offense. And although the -- first park and although Brady Quinn and couldn't be to spark. Sometimes these things have a way of working out but it's a bigger problem Monday night. To play the defendant Super Bowl champions who have. Not picked up where they left off they look better yeah there where they will left off last year they didn't and -- It's funny you know I have this discussion with some people you go back in history you look at teams that. Won the Super Bowl kinda surprised you wild card team like that 97 Broncos. The seventy force Steelers to a degree that night would be to cal boy who had upset Sampras sisco and you go 12 -- either Kabila the Steelers in 5 where they had a forgettable year with Ben Roethlisberger all his off field problems. The motorcycle accident or you can take that surprising success. And build it. It's just something and some member of the ninety several Broncos -- ninety Broncos won the first thirteen games were better the semi file Steelers. Repeated fabulous said before the simplified it went back to back Super Bowl as the Cowboys the Cowboys in 93. Boston's first two games became the first -- to keep awake -- they've -- habits that. I think that's what DC with the Giants and Eagles with the personality beaver loss to retirement and injury or they've traded. I think they are -- very confident football team. And the quarterback is supremely confident. That's an aspect of the team that nobody talks about and we'll talk a lot of bad morale that league as well -- job. Is absolutely lights out the continuity and don't forget Tom Coughlin all. We've always had a good also delighted Jacksonville. Okay with Tony Bocelli accompany you always put a -- Big onus on them last year -- the Olympic -- is -- like continuity same five guys. Sixteen games starting in the same fights spots or one team -- with the New York -- yeah. And they got the playoffs and and I don't shot O'Hair missed the first playoff game against Tampa. Because of the injury in the Patriots Saturday night game. But this basically kept that life together to get tiger year and the lighted fire at number one text align its continuity. And there -- lied and got a lot of continuity right now."

Play from 1:14:16[1:14:16]" I think that it it all goes affected that if on the goes wrong on the line. Tom -- if you go to is on and on say okay. The -- you guys."

Play from 1:14:25[1:14:25]" All of you well. I'm not claiming you anymore -- you're right you're right here that you -- well you're at every. You know that it doesn't look so there can't be -- it no better motivation that I get."

Play from 1:14:37[1:14:37]" I suppose that that that is the case I always gotta wonder though it -- for Chris need for those that don't know is Tom Coughlin on law and Chris. But it Boston College I was two in the of the Eagles games there and I -- he was dating Tom Coughlin daughter all the time how he wasn't you know just a little bit you know like afraid. Especially you know when Italy it was kind of get a break the news that you know -- by the way were having a child here and I you know and but. Apparently I'm really likes Chris sneak and obviously like Dolphins -- one heck -- as well."

Play from 1:15:06[1:15:06]" There are Liggett said they become a very confident football team and it outlets and it's going to be a very fired up. Exciting greatly week to week we'd just -- the Browns on Monday and capable three times this year they haven't been on Monday Night Football five year. They've been host of the game at five years. That could be really really dynamic crowd and you if you all that. It's good football team was New York. Couple miscues lack of concentration. Couple early fumbles. The Giants haven't turned over the ball by the way to Leicester gave them all the led seventeen to fourteen not that it can get away from here real real."

Play from 1:15:44[1:15:44]" careful it's gotta be right. Are then let's get to all the Patriots -- the Chargers which is the Sunday night game and -- You know I get the end in -- is what we kind of danced around all week long that even though that there still is a month. I want to -- ill will but let's just say the you know and the players on these two teams. In particular Nick Hardwick and Richard Seymour they don't like each other don't care for each other too much I don't know if that -- really have any kind of factor. In Sunday night but suffice it to -- San Diego. Is probably in fact I'm -- is probably they are more desperate in this game. Then the Patriots and that in Arabic all of may be enough to get them over the hump that's what I think."

Play from 1:16:23[1:16:23]" Well said. -- Chargers are playing very good football right now older not have and I I think that's what people forget that means they're counting on their emotions. And all that revenge type of stuff which you know they had a couple of chances last year did -- get it done and you know listen. -- you know revenge has said that it doesn't work revenge works on certain fronts. Okay you know like getting back figures at all he just needs. This is overrated yes if you're worried about. It's that it's one of my favorite -- the Superbowl in many many years ago Jim Turner talking about how they lost these parker was kicker. -- the Cowboys in the Super Bowl twelve. We were worried about winning. They were worried about football. That's what the San Diego Chargers need to do grow more so. They need their defense to worry about some football very deep and hasn't really disappointed I know Shawne Merriman is not there. And a Jamal Williams is banged up as well but boy this has been. Now you know you're a lot of -- St. -- produced well the start out slow last year. They were one it's very. Okay go get together well last year degrees and they start out slow court everybody was this week that the coaching staff yeah. -- coaching staff this year. You know that thirteen coming opening C championship game appearance where you would think that they would be confident. And again. They're little banged up you know they're watching it banged up I see them means you win football games. I'm not sure what the -- is there. But India could be any of Denver keeps -- Diego's going to listen I -- they got a bad break week to not discounting that. But he -- that bad break last week by -- was able to run the football again. They'd get a bad break gets Carolina. Who -- on the field against -- late. This indeed achieved with a bit of a cut under right now. And you know New England going up they're worried about winning they'll win. I expect mediate got to play with an air of desperation deal I also. Will be curious to see it that things don't go their way early. How they handle -- job. Meeting meeting to Chargers. Okay you start second -- yourself especially against the team it's kinda had your number little. But this -- that that's a good moment against the Patriots. You know you know the last three or four years it would in the Foxborough -- three years ago ended their home winning streak and so want. But. You go back and play -- game two years accuracy Diego. Either bought themselves a play completely stupid football. In that game if you well now. Miscue cheered not paid attention here and they -- place of the sort football and that game got away from. Palmer all of sudden. You know I don't think it is essentially to -- the got a BC championship game last year right."

Play from 1:19:26[1:19:26]" Insult away someplace. I don't think every week they recovered from that golden moment. Of maybe getting to the super well -- Well I everything that uphill climb for the ever sent them you know last year they were five and -- that these that's right and got hot late and the other didn't and stopped and okay this year they're off to a three. And would ever sitting at 41 at a loss to the already. They gotta be very very careful he can't keep on digging yourself a hole and say well I've done this before we can do it again."

Play from 1:20:01[1:20:01]" That's exactly why -- like I kind of feel like San Diego has the edge here only because they face you know road games at Buffalo on and they got to go to London to play the -- And who knows what happened there and this from being at home. I just think -- they've got to realize you know what we can't dig ourselves any more of -- hole. Then we've already dug in and I kind of -- were you know them to really open it up and try to pick on the Patriots secondary is best they possibly can."

Play from 1:20:24[1:20:24]" Well but that's that's exactly my point John I'm agreeing with you although the sample like it I think I don't exactly think that way. Whether they take advantage coveted not and -- no matter what are good to be curious about the mindset of the San Diego Chargers right. Yeah yeah it's one thing to. Have the cards. It's another thing to. You know put to sit down and equipment and and stuff they should have all the advantages here but they had all those advantages a couple of years ago in the in the play -- game as well it's sailed away if that's the thing about the Chargers sometimes you scratch your helmet. Figuring out how they lost games. And so what I -- are supremely talented as we know in the -- supremely talented doesn't guarantee anything."

Play from 1:21:10[1:21:10]" That's very true that we can learn that last February. That's exactly right we Garnett left and weekly date back at that wielded only. I've fair enough Russell that's a great wrap up -- sure appreciate the time is always. What are you looking forward to most this weekend. What do deported don't sides working on and."

Play from 1:21:30[1:21:30]" Well I mean that is that the hardest thing I have to do is it is get up and get you know. More broccoli. So what do you watch the game and stuff like more luckily. We're -- well he got a victory in the got a victory in the good luck with that maybe they've of the baggage of him. That we all big hit chips like carrying bags of -- and being through both go. You know it'd -- if the weather a period. -- it'll chilled at a fort -- apartment asserted -- negated nine holes of golf unfortunately but. Are they don't think football type note and actually not see an adult type note. Well I couldn't afford to Oklahoma and Texas point -- yeah I'm going to be it'll be kind of -- brought yeah. Those old school believe what you know I still see. I don't remember what Oklahoma street versus USC was kind of a fun thing to watch that twenty years ago yeah you're gonna go public sector as always you know it's going to be interesting."

Play from 1:22:30[1:22:30]" Usually about Thursday that I target my sweaty palms and it happens every year for -- Texas W week and I sure enough I got him today oh yeah I know that the game is right around the corner I it all on the other -- it -- to be pretty good matchup I don't have. I don't have a lot of faith in my long ones unfortunately."

Play from 1:22:47[1:22:47]" All the way to the funny thing is also is. I don't know I felt the course remembered where it was Oklahoma Texas and there was water running the football -- Now these are teams that you know that whole conference has obviously changed as far as throwing the football yeah."

Play from 1:23:01[1:23:01]" About a twelve by the way I think well from top to bottom and you know. He got to kind of throw Baylor out of the mix I think one -- the big twelve this is pretty strong I think it rivals the is he this year."

Play from 1:23:11[1:23:11]" You're the big twelve you know plenty of big twelve -- mostly -- Different kind of personal -- sometimes. And physical when the F that the collect that's expect a white guy physical lack. I think there's -- marketing potential. Play from 1:30:58[1:30:58]" Knock on okay burger. I there's a couple minutes here for your emails if you'd like to do so web radio at. Patriots dot com is going to predict the score of the game already a couple of them here. We have a Norv Turner of the San Diego Chargers from the a conference call Patriots media. And also LaDainian Tomlinson. To get to -- for the end of this particular power. Patriots and Chargers playing for the 37 time overall on Sunday night and believe it -- not. And opened it it sounds heartily but the third time in just a little over -- calendar year that the teams -- life which is certainly has a lot to acquire the coaching staff. Looked at preparing for this game. Like the divisional. Because frankly like they're in the same division and played now three times -- a little over -- twelve month old. Last season of course in the AFC championship game. January the twentieth the Patriots have won a 21 to twelve here at Gillette Stadium and of course Patriots beat the Chargers 38 to fourteen in the regular season home opener. Back on September the sixteenth of last season that of course in the yeah aftermath of spy gate the Patriots can took out the era. Frustrations and whatever else they took out on the charters that particular day on the series dates back in 1960. First season ever for these two franchises in the old AFL. Inaugural season and the Patriots hold. -- twenty to fourteen lead with two ties in the series and the Patriots have also won two of the three games at these two teams that played in the playoffs. Against each other. The Patriots have a slight upper hand in the series in the old AFL rival. Are arguably other than the AFC championship game this past year the other big game the relief that the two teams have played would have had to have come. Back in 1964. Well win none Patriots in the -- played for the old AFL championship record that was the game that the Chargers won handily by 51 to ten score. I certainly don't think that the and he's going to turn out like that but. And that's one that the charter head and he always hang their hat on and Patriots fans always in Rivera because that was technically the first time the Patriots play for a championship. And they were handily defeated. But that of course was 44 years ago. Armed the last 35 year Patriots thirteen and -- rule. Against San Diego and includes regular season and playoff game. San Diego is one of those teams -- the Bill Belichick does not have -- winning career record against. Belichick is three and four in his career against the Chargers. He's too into however as head coach of the Patriots -- charged with three and or overall. In San Diego as a head coach in the NFL what does that mean not a lot just give you'll perspective is where these two teams. You know come into this game against each other. Home course these two teams all played in the playoffs. In 7. Where -- we here and he's been ill thought -- yeah yeah that's right. Oh you know seven on -- with a fourteen -- seven pages which one you're 24 to 21. On their way. As well so. And we went -- in the morneau yet doesn't have that we are okay want to make sure I had the right year it was 2000 haven't and they wanted at Qualcomm that was the game of course the Patriots were. You know. Accused of being shall we say less than sportsman like. Against the Chargers in what started some of the ill will in the current bad blood. Against the between the two teams Nick Hardwick in. Some of the other guys that have -- pads and things to say about the Patriots -- on pretty much from that 2421 win. At Qualcomm couple years ago. Jack in this email and he says okay I know on being a homer here I think the pats have a lot working in their favor here number one. Chargers are desperate to win this game and desperate people make mistakes. One would look at it. Number two they're still the bad blood which may produce penalties against the Chargers. Number three know Merriman. Number four the self proclaimed class just crybaby LT. Is playing hurt. Number five the mouth -- as good as he is will start talking back and only put a bullseye on his chest for the past week. Unfortunately I don't think it will be a big margin but I do think we will pull out a W. Jack has had 27 Chargers 24. Pats win at San Francisco may not have been stellar but it reminded this team that they can't get it done. You know that last edit at their Jack I think it's good tennis and I think it's sort of you know summarizes. The feelings of a lot of people myself included. And I sort of alluded to this earlier in the program today but you know frankly I think we know that you know -- wasn't great game. You know it was -- a stellar game as you put it but it was a win and I won a friend that game to think that the team certainly as well. For improvement. As the season progressed. I will not be devastated if this team loses this game we don't want to win as fans we all want them to win but if they lose. It shouldn't be a devastating loss. Then again you know if you lose half the team injury that I guess that can be considered devastating but all things being relative. Even if they do lose they still got plenty of season ahead of them plenty of divisional games ahead of them who shot at the bill out of them. There are plenty of opportunities to continue to improve and I think that to me is the plus that the Patriots opponent this is almost. -- this is almost a gravy game you know one of those games where an eight -- and get it but if you don't and it's -- like extra gravy and you -- And that would be. Kind of how -- term this kind of how I look at it certainly be good they get it they're going to go out and try to get it but if they don't. And you know. Let's see what happens with what this thing play. As. Jack mentioned. And as we kind of talked about your today that this team is. The San Diego team has their back to the wall a little bit more so -- the paper and coming into the they're two and three the got a tough road -- even after the Patriots lead Qualcomm on under the -- play Buffalo and in the got to go to London to play one of those zone you know. NFL Europe games get played -- and Orleans Saints and quarterback in Drew Brees who you know we're just loved it. Have some payback against the team that deemed him you know. Basically. Too expensive and in this year we're going to go whatever direction here. That's a tough road to host overcome. The Chargers probably need to play a little bit more of a sense of urgency and I wonder. Do you get the sense of urgency. That the Chargers may or should may be should -- be -- When you listen to head coach Norv Turner. I want you to catalyst in here Inca coach turner are crucial was all members of the Patriots media earlier. And what does this say about that heading into this game to get annoying Patriot."

Play from 1:38:09[1:38:09]" That Mary. Mary it. It. Well -- all you did in a situation not. And and you're going to have season where you lose some some key players. You know we've had some guys some -- and play well and and you know obviously you know just -- stepped in there and played Wellman pulled hamstrings so that probably. You know wasn't great timing about you know you you're going to mess. The impact plays with a guy like -- play makes but you know that's that's part of this collision and part of you know going through a sixteen game season."

Play from 1:38:48[1:38:48]" Or is active. -- but the typically -- Pat The -- that you really get into the -- we -- with such a talented secondary I how do you explain that."

Play from 1:38:58[1:38:58]" Well we've had we have had some changes we've we've plugged in a couple of guys and you know we played the first two games this season we've played 22 quarterbacks who were extremely hot. And and played at a real high level I think. Since those two games we've we've played better and and hopefully we are improving in the sector."

Play from 1:39:31[1:39:31]" Well the -- the biggest thing is you know -- have a good game and against Carolina and obviously Carolina. As we will look at them now I mean and we've won I don't know people in the group. Well lot of -- you look at him now and obviously they're playing them at a pretty high level and and performed one. Their good run defense without he had sending him -- 96 yards on probably point to point three carries. Had some -- has some physical runs had some slashing runs and looked. Awfully good unfortunate in the fourth quarter of that game he he. -- so you know only comfort them and the turf -- what do you want to call it it's pitched Coleman and him and -- on it's gotten better and I think. You know he's he's getting Paul's side he's getting back there's the issue is for us. -- receive him to get enough plays to move the ball -- not converting a third downs were. We can get him his 20/20 five carries we did that the raider game and got a hundred yards and not. I think in the games started kitten and a little bit of a grove and and that's the biggest thing the culmination of give them penalty gives them a 100% and then. You don't give ourselves. Where were playing at a level where we can get enough problems. And well it all you look at men and most together same guys that we've played the last few times we've played them and you know there's going to be an adjustment yesterday about -- doesn't -- adjustment when you when you guys Tom Brady's. Stature visibility and and its leadership and you know all the things accomplishment. I think you see improvement. And I've changed -- offense and they over the last. Four weeks and obviously you kind of a coming out game against San Francisco and you know map as looks like he's getting real feel for one person to do --"

Play from 1:41:38[1:41:38]" Well they -- go ever you know where there was a lot of noon start -- and so I think there was several it was -- and try and figure out. What's the problem was you know I think this year. You know as -- said you know we've lost two games early in here on the on the final play of the game. You know I think our guys know why we're in this situation. We know we haven't challenging schedule it was. But the fact did you know I think that we did it lesser -- effective that these guys have had a lot of success and have. -- situation where they. On role in one and number games in general. You know that's -- obviously we're going to have to do it we will before going to come out of his -- first target to win a game and then you have to. You know giving get on a little bit Rolen and one number -- tomorrow."

Play from 1:42:27[1:42:27]" That's Norv Turner had coached the San Diego Chargers -- members of the Patriots media. -- you have the impression that you know he's pretty even keel kind of guy almost the point of being located. I don't think he would want to you don't show the hand that you're holding anyway and if the if they're feeling any pressure if they're feeling like you know hey you know we gotta get this thing done. There are shown and I think that's pretty good because frankly you know you never want to watch upon what is -- But then again he also pointed out something that is very important to understand you know this team is really. To a place. Most jingle plays away from being four and one at the worst. 41 at the war and not inconceivable for the team to be either no at this stage. By any stretch by any -- they're that close to being you know one of the elite right now on the NFL this season alone. They lost couple games and last second play and they lost two games it to a Miami last week that communal it was only seventeen to ten. But you know it was a game -- which they've you know flopped miserably on offense and allowed Miami to take it to him physically. Soul I mean you know but it was a one possession game at the very least. They're not that far away and rest assured that point has been driven home this week -- the Patriots practice out in them. Not enough Santa Clara in and -- it to San Jose state university. That you know that has to be. -- media point of contention for the papers this week at these guys you know don't be fooled by their record I am not fooled by the record. You know yes they do have an injury they do -- been piling up it does seem like the deck is stacked against the Chargers a bit going into the game. If your patron that you look at it -- will pay physically picking. We'd probably match -- open and as maybe anybody else we match up with this year because the other team. Who could have an advantage. Is that a bit of a disadvantage or at worst even with a -- because their bingo. I mean if they have a less than a 100% LT and we'll hear from -- from mom LaDainian Tom just couple moments. If they don't have a healthy Antonio Gates which. Peter King told us in the opening -- today they won't have if they don't have a healthy. Chris Chambers which. He may be a game time decision. He was walking normally doesn't mean you can runner cut normally. Earlier -- that was -- a media report Eddie eagle from yesterday. On you know you've got you had that defensive guys as well who have been banged -- little bit. I mean you know this is an opportunity here for the Patriots. It's absolute opportunity for the Patriots. We want to hear from him -- let's do that solo Matt Cassel has completed. His conference call in his press conference from San Jose state university from earlier today. And they'll let you listen into a little bit of what Matt Cassel had -- members of the media."

Play from 1:45:27[1:45:27]" Moment I haven't gone out there good install our you know you're out your home area generally -- a lot farther north but I mean. You know still California and all that but you can't really afford to look at is anything but a business -- you've told us. Has that been so far has it been productive what's that been like."

Play from 1:45:46[1:45:46]" That's the greatest little like we talked about what we're definitely been a business trip. We understand what we're out here for the football all of they -- that aspect it first. I have that's my favorite being a little bit level but -- they all understand that no. That my job -- But the ball voter -- Man how satisfying was the last game. Offensive production -- Through they went for -- I thought they offered you know put low grip the ball well we have about the we we had a some good efficient in the passing game itself overwrought so we did well hopefully we can build on that it -- Continue to go up but the office which meant."

Play from 1:46:28[1:46:28]" I suppose a lot sometimes gets made of things you know we know that as you are growing and into your role that things come. Slowly or gradually. There's seemed to be a big fuss about getting Randy -- involved in the offense. And obviously you did in the last game. Would you call that a natural progression of -- everything that that you're having to learn an end to go about. Now the -- the entrenched as the."

Play from 1:46:54[1:46:54]" Starting quarterback. Yeah I think we you know you can -- companies and every week in the -- young quarterback and thrown into the for the fire like it was early on the season and you going to get better each and every week and I rely on the coaching staff. -- into good position and try to do is go out there excuse. The game went to about viability. And hopefully I'll continue to progress but they continue to get a feel for what what -- off speaker what is the in effect into the bothering you don't have worry you know I'd love to do that each and every week in and we weren't really able do that week two of three -- that well we grew worse so those great."

Play from 1:47:30[1:47:30]" At all on you've had obviously had walker available to the end you worked a few other people into it. -- the offense really. Be successful though without. Without just lead the threat of Randy Moss that he -- that three of the threat enough. Or do you really have to go to him and you have to complete those passes obviously got the one long one in this past game the second one was intercepted. But at least now they had to respect you do you feel like that's something that just absolutely had to be there for you to succeed."

Play from 1:48:01[1:48:01]" Ortiz you have to try to get the ball -- playmaker obviously Randy Randy one of the book but makers in the NFL. Info order continue to try to do whichever way we can't pin amount you know -- people -- before but. I rely heavily on the coaches. Remote -- is -- to do that and I just try to go out there and executed so. You know I didn't I can try to force the ball up he'll do things so that's really. The media I'm just going to go through my progression. We talk about trying to get the ball Buffalo bit how helpful was the running game in this past week's -- to. It's always helpful and you and you get the running game going and opened the other aspect doppler. Those running backs -- hard -- any evidence Mubarak the Lamar so there off the long run the ball real hard hopefully that continues Williams of."

Play from 1:48:50[1:48:50]" Need to continue their -- Is if you look at San Diego obviously and yeah -- a part of these games you watched. You don't watch the Patriots from your vantage point taking them on. Now the other one who has the step then you're going in against. Fairly successful because the one that's missing obviously one of the best players. What do you see in the San Diego defense right now that you really have to pay attention do."

Play from 1:49:16[1:49:16]" The other they're very physical defensive front so important part of their aggressive enough. David try to create a lot of pressure the quarterback who this year in the second there's there -- great government up and playmakers back there the guardian -- what that if the safety position and doing a great job so. They've they've got quite a few players very physical defense and so we just have to be ready. -- those could -- in the category of getting off the ball on the weather bureau of the ball -- about does that."

Play from 1:49:46[1:49:46]" Leave any concern feel -- the cause any just knowing that they're going into this game at two and three. Others the second year in a -- they've gotten off to a slow start it's pretty frustrating for them. You feel that going to San Diego that it did their home game and they're the ones who look might be a little desperate does that. Does that add to the pressure that you going to be facing."

Play from 1:50:07[1:50:07]" Not really -- really approach every game -- you know we go up with it and the -- in every game though someone ought to be surprised that they come element that could you reflect become relevant and they whether there are part of an hour weather there. -- very. Old. We have become well we gotta play our best game -- aware of them in the live itself we can a week out every team should. -- the year whether they're undefeated or whether there. Then hold on want to game you know and that's just how it is -- in the and that's probably -- if you don't come out you don't put all the you don't play well. Been more like you're going to lose -- games so. That whole world will look we're expecting them to -- well a lot of fire a lot of intensity and we need to."

Play from 1:50:45[1:50:45]" So you get the national spotlight do we get NBC get. Madden you get all that does that add anything -- is that something you just that they absolutely no attention to this."

Play from 1:50:57[1:50:57]" isn't there you go on the -- gave him all the rest that stuff to go along with the you know once you get out there and he picked up first snapped all that stuff goes out the window you know you can talk about it but. Effective when it comes down to it went football."

Play from 1:51:13[1:51:13]" Course is Matt -- Quarterback for the -- the Patriots from earlier today. He'll convert cult members of the Patriots media listening in back here on the east coast and in Foxborough specifically. Couple of emails your level wrapup with the LaDainian Tomlinson of the yeah San Diego Chargers here inside the play book today. This comes from Spencer whose his first off I hate the act. Would start the email -- Of course he says in his subsequent he's cold and listens every time. Is the sad fact is I know more about the Patriots for the patriots'. For bread bread from of the pole in right that I do my beloved Colts the Colts have nothing of the ballpark what you offer would podcast -- awful. It is as -- and mass produced as again I have a friend who. Works in the broadcast and is relate and cold too from some cold big -- that they want to criticize the Colts isn't a real and I am. That's what I love about you guys you don't hold back feel that the pats have been a mistake or player isn't living up to his potential then and there it is ironic. I -- it amazing that you could attract a listener. Who had all of these spike gave up up she's blocks setter anyway you guys the best. A quick question what is with the hate for bill polio is a great GM -- that I for talent we can't be given that. But all that that I hope Brady gets married and give three absolutely will be for pictures well. Screw that I want him back we can relive the rivalry for at least one more year. Take care -- you miss the playoffs I will buy lunch as a consolation pro thank you Spencer I'm sure that. PFW guys will hold him to that. A a that at my theory -- you might think he might bait. All the there's real hate brutal -- I think it's because he has a tendency and again this is just my own personal opinion Spencer but think what he calls the -- the patriots'. As he normally does I think there's a certain amount of disdain and certain amount of disrespect. -- what the Patriots have actually accomplished on the field from -- I think he feels like. You know. There's I don't know -- like the Patriots cheated or what or what have you but I just I think that there is a general feeling of disrespect from pole in. Which is why the Patriots fans largely you know don't like him first football is concerned. I would agree with it pretty good eye for talent. Certainly -- eleven brought in Peyton Manning in the built the team around him. So in that regard. Yeah football life short on the Tony Dungy is a very very good head coach. But the you know I think that part of the reason that there is the rivalry between the two teams because of the I guess the disrespect that is -- seemed at least on this in the build -- and gives the patrons and fans. Jeff from Connecticut says pat thirteen San Diego twenty. -- Marty we'll have a big Darren Sproles will score at least once -- the Patriots are going to have trouble keeping Sproles in check. Cromartie will pick -- castle at least twice. That's -- that's one -- San Diego have trouble with pressure on quarterback and Cromartie will get picked obviously -- really liked want Marty. And well that could very will be the case appreciate -- inning and in chip thank you I said earlier I'm also go with the Chargers much as I hate to admit it. But I am going to the Chargers 24 to 22 in this one."

Play from 1:54:29[1:54:29]" Although I think I do think the Patriots will have an opportunity and who knows it's close enough maybe Steve -- best you'll have an opportunity. By the way this is one of the worst. You know -- song these songs. All it's better than Miami Dolphins while Miami Dolphins and even original. Because the Dolphins wanted to. That'll that'll beat to it."

Play from 1:54:57[1:54:57]" Rob they're from the Houston Oilers. That's why did the -- doesn't count and even count still bad -- is bad but it and even count on bad. You know the Houston Oilers at the arena used -- Washington Redskins they had -- Thank you very much all right speaking of those and Diego. Super Chargers. Yeah exactly are LaDainian Tomlinson their running back who had his own drug well. Thank you very much my stroke -- more time they have -- As a little longer. LaDainian Tomlinson had his own troubles that you wouldn't -- and who know. It earlier but it could be right out of -- okay LaDainian Tomlinson and that's time same bat channel next Tuesday."

Play from 1:55:49[1:55:49]" How important is that for you guys to be home this game. What this board cut in their home games and is obviously important because. We feel more comfortable playing at home when you know we need to win so. No we get we get we don't have to travel with is a good thing. Planet almost always. Vermont history had been built for a actors have been -- the situation last couple years we get all these slow start. And the fight and claw your way back before things really well it. Is it kind of frustrating right now yeah they get flustered because you don't like start their way. We were rabid but it doesn't make it difficult more difficult. And gonna fight your way back. But. You know I think this team has prepared him and a lot of people -- it. To fight back and get where we want to be. If you think back to last."

Play from 1:56:48[1:56:48]" Year's game last year's beaten rather and then how you guys got back even a November. It yet it -- little unsure of frustrating to have to fight like that but you know that you have the capability to do that. But that kind of book sustaining a little bit as do you see yourself now at two and three and knowing that. It's -- McCrery things around."

Play from 1:57:08[1:57:08]" Yeah it does help -- cut. You don't have. The ability and that is your position to do it. You know it just. Brought it it's all about I think gone out and making sure we prepare and but here. We really. I understand what to what they had a book that everybody that played Duke. It's going to trade up. You know like elite team in the National Football League -- would the Patriot everybody who played the Patriots. Clemens barely eighteen at some time about being. You know you get caught up there and and and not knowing how teams going to come out and employees so far."

Play from 1:57:50[1:57:50]" The status does as a only team obviously you guys have lost in the league play -- Shawne Merriman the Patriots obviously have lost Tom Brady. Does that bring both these guys back in the pack a little bit does that that change the dynamic in this game somewhat."

Play from 1:58:07[1:58:07]" Our. -- bigger sport there are aware of you know people may look at the talent laden. Obviously take you down on them. The -- I would poll old across the board as far as he's concerned. But out. You know I think it perfect opportunity -- got the stepping in you know office it is tough to replace somebody like Shawne Merriman and also Tom Brady. You know but offense found somebody has to step up and and and you know take their place than you won't replace them but hopefully you can get production out --"

Play from 1:58:41[1:58:41]" Obviously you don't have to go head to head with someone like Brady that you're looking at what has been a pretty good defense over the last couple years. They have not so good game against the Dolphins they came back strong against the 49ers. What do you see right now in the Patriots defense that you really have to pay attention."

Play from 1:58:58[1:58:58]" Well I think they'll probably -- probably is always what controls that they're -- to me they got you know. One of the best part of football. You look comfortable Walpole Seymour. Warrant. For able Thomas. You look at them got I've been. You know very very good as anybody in the league and so bad that -- concerned when -- when I'll look at thirteen upping. Demi god it will make that these fans go. And and when they get out there are pretty tough. To move the ball on of these."

Play from 1:59:35[1:59:35]" LT. How how -- I think your health problem hindering you. An erratic."

Play from 1:59:42[1:59:42]" Let the running you unique unique. You know pretty much everything that you have. As far as they're concerned. He told these aren't economists though hamstring. Obviously when you are one part of it as a run and you know it is hardship. But. You know football and evolve and I've been oh man. You know there's no way that I can expect that to not ever be hurt. But you know I've got to play through it and that's just part of Alabama football player."

Play from 2:00:14[2:00:14]" Have you did didn't it quite a Patriot itself another football game we've got a port. With all the things that have been that and and some of the bad blood and the post game you that it -- little -- different."

Play from 2:00:25[2:00:25]" Not the same game you know just knuckleball gang. No we can make you bigger than what it is the sixth game on home schedule and have to do the Patriots and so are that the way we're going to approach it. And you know we don't know we can't talk about anything really intruding in the in the past because. We haven't beat them you know so. Of course is it's just another game."

Play from 2:00:50[2:00:50]" What are your memories that he AFC championship game from last year."

Play from 2:00:55[2:00:55]" How fall back and you know the Patriots. For what they've made more plays than we made obviously. -- for -- you know they did a great job in the red -- keep enough and scorn. And they score when they needed to score."

Play from 2:01:14[2:01:14]" What about personally yeah."

Play from 2:01:18[2:01:18]" They're not -- who remember about it. You know I don't play much that's the only thing you know the only thing to remember oh really to forget."

Play from 2:01:28[2:01:28]" Did you learn of the quarterback in that game. Playing on an honest I don't really badly."

Play from 2:01:35[2:01:35]" What did I learn. I admire what our nobody in Dayton tough joker. And at all cause he's going to try to be out there play. You know whether you'd heard or not and another big -- that he's and he obviously. Have. How tolerant. You know for pain that he can he can stand up to it and and can play through."

Play from 2:02:02[2:02:02]" They've got an average annual border -- that it matters or practice. He got to the game back in the post game and but -- That part wicket haul you know Richard Seymour -- you think that's how you got -- about the Patriots that their their team."

Play from 2:02:19[2:02:19]" You know we're that we don't feel. Anything more or less about the Patriot that we do above a lot of his they have -- that we played all. On a consistent basis you learn things about but painfully playable bunt not who we play them a bunt. You know Murton so I'm nick felt after their game you know doesn't mean he -- as the -- player all the time. You know maybe something happened where he felt like there. But no we don't fill him he would also like they're dirty player at all you know their football player we we -- god in all these and all the comments. You know there is no love lost at all you know it not like we don't moment how -- we you know. You know but during the game when we -- we've got a player get them. We want to kick their budget like they want to kick out but."
