Play from 0:19[0:19]" and the other thing. The leaders of Patriots football weekly Friday December 5 and Gillette Stadium near the New England Patriots prepare to travel out west. Meeting with -- we possibly at some new faces. Making the trip the long trip out west with them as a linebacker week here Gillette Stadium Padilla's Thomas placed on injured reserve today. Earlier in the week. It was somebody else and -- or Paul Perillo what you know it Jason Webster who reached injury settlement and was then senate little though but more importantly. Roosevelt Colvin and Junior Seau are that. Seau and his normal number 55 Jersey actually signed deals today. And earlier in the week Rosevelt Colvin had a long chat with the media wearing his new number. It could be could be one of those Doug Flutie things but number 95 Rosevelt Colvin. Is that the view it. I propose that -- that is what is -- that -- fight -- it. He wasn't. But as there yet no question but it build politics that things just got to finish linebacker. The injuries piling up not -- the ones we are you had dealing with. Tedy Bruschi been on the injury report for a little while -- issue. And -- would reportedly have broken jaw. Although he is still on the roster there was -- move made there. On the one minor note at Angelo -- the practice courts they're just about -- line piling up on linebackers failure not or. Fully conversant in the he's from Cincinnati crater the league each college or -- where he was drafted. This -- seventh round. But more portly ball to all bases they know the system once was all. Is new again and sounds like -- for either could have a chance of playing this Sunday in Seattle what do we expect for their impact on the."

Play from 2:00[2:00]" That's I mean honestly I expect both to play I don't know how much in. Second question you asked I think it's impossible to answer but I do think there's an element. Freshness that these two guys might be able to have it initially people know the system reasonably well now. The Patriots of such a game plan team in -- you talked about this during the week it's hard to say. They know what they're doing because there's no way they have a knowing what exactly they'll have and schools the -- specific itself. We'll see how much they've played but I think there's an element that these guys. Not been banged around for twelve weeks away everybody else in the NFL has and they might be initially a little bit fresher I think that the true test for those guys would come. You know game to game three I would imagine. Some pulled muscles and sore hamstrings and whatnot. Or near future but. On Sunday. I'm expecting to have both of those guys out there and I think -- from the particularly from up there on third down Indian -- about the pats I don't think there's a lot of scheming involved but that. I would agree with that."

Play from 3:01[3:01]" The one thing I'd say it was cold that if he really what we're yet but he certainly did physical condition. Talking about basically was intrigued by running up and down the stairs with his he would. And quote my backyard was available he can even think he ran it is just that it backyard was available had chosen to run so. We kind of lowered expectation even said he knew what an opportunity he was truly pursuing. It's just he kind of thought it might come when Thomas went down with a broken arm. Now this week Patriots called -- accepted. Similar situation with Seau he was only coming back here with -- pursuing another chance. And in fact if you look at it matter of factly. The quest for the ring that he was on last year. That's not. Really the carry that you have this year because. This team fighting to get into the post season -- be considered suitable. Contender for papers so he talked a little bit about the relationship yet the -- and mr. crap you been dating back to when they. You mr. Kraft gave his -- in San Diego earlier this season. He said he pretty much with them back with the Patriots they came calling he accepted. He's always in great shape we know that in terms of being human being. There's a difference between being treated human being just in general life and that felt hopeful he'll regain that so he'll be intensity and and I think there's. A chance we see a wide variety of defensive over the next couple weeks. As they try to come up with the best combinations to use all these guys Ty Warren though obviously missed two the last three. Reports are that he's sort of week to week dated eight years not and I -- thing. But if you can't so you have questions on the defensive line Jarvis Green has underperformed. Mike Wright struggled -- was back there. It that last week reserve role. So you think potentially could see some different combinations of three and four man front in. Different combinations of linebacker -- I mean I would think you know just given the amount of injuries that hit those areas it would make sense to me. To maybe do some different stuff now the lack of depth up front. I think kinda hurt too little bit because I think if you want to go through 43. You would do some combination Seymour Wilfork inside. Maybe with with Warren and green outside now I don't think Warren is ready. For full load in terms of sixty snaps -- game based on some reports you read today quoting your teams sources think he'd be 5050 proposition probably for the rest of the way. That to mean what's most mobile encouraging ties situation so I do think that maybe ninety Mike Vrabel little bit. -- and hybrid kind of role he you know he obviously can play defensive and he's played on the line for the Patriots and certain packages. I think you're gonna have to get creative game because I'm not sure that they have enough. Manpower to get by doing it you know regular 34 base that they've been trying to do. And I think the the war of attrition I think it's that cold and it's -- even worse when combined that we. The secondary that struggled all year so you basically have front of that. But he says that you don't really know a what you're going to get her performance but the what you even really have available down the damn game to game to throw out there so yet -- he's -- Belcher one through dom capers in there Matt Patricia those guys. Pepper Johnson they're going to earn their pay -- in the coming weeks. Coming up with the best personnel groupings to utilize all of these players. Forward get out of here want to and we are literally getting out of here later today heading out west with the team to Seattle. Well before we get out of here or just touch on some of the other injuries. Wes Welker has not really been on the practice participation report. We won't get the injured true injury report or or two later today. What are your thoughts on the -- hit he took last week and how that may impact his availability for the next month."

Play from 6:42[6:42]" Yeah well I mean I think that does the fact that he was able to take part whatever they were able to on Wednesday and Thursday practice wise it certainly could sign and he talked about it. At -- in the locker room I think on Wednesday. You know look it was a it was a heavy hit no doubt. I somewhat disagree with the fact that. If it wasn't fine I thought it was way. I didn't think it was an overly vicious hit in terms of intent that in that it was a helmet to helmet hit I didn't think that he was in. Necessarily. I I hate the -- defenseless on on a football field I think. You know it and and lesser guys like taking helmet off and not really anticipating getting hit I think you -- game but. I that felt that it was late in not necessary that it deserved the fifteen yard penalty that they got and I thought that. You know in turn it should have been a fine much like David thomas' situation in Indianapolis several weeks ago. The NFL obviously thought differently I do agree with the NFL's explanation in terms of watching yourself I think. A defensive players will be its feet and any tackle I don't think that's certainly anything that's outside of the rules -- I feel. I."

Play from 7:46[7:46]" I agree with you I mean I thought it was going to get -- fine but he's got the penalty. A lot of times I think those -- come because the guy wasn't penalized in the league trying to send a message that in some ways it it was a legal. And in trying to keep players in control that way and I think maybe they looked at it as he got the fifteen yard penalty was called on the field for the infraction. And that's enough we can move on it was a football player it was an outside the bounds of the football field or anything like that. I think they took it that way in terms of Wes Welker my concern would be on he -- early in the week that. You know he's gonna prepare to play as he does every week but it's up to the the doctors and the coaches to decide whether he's ready to -- One factor I -- they might play a little bit in that. If you took they hit the week before Miami that knocked him to the sideline for a plate. And I just wonder having those two back to back weeks and obviously the second one not the gain. With a read the rest of the game against the Steelers. I do think there's going to be a decision to be made I don't know either way which way it's gonna go. My -- actually tells me you know -- and you feel the opposite right well like I do I thought I think there's going to be a decision because doctors are involved he admitted that early in the week. So he could be. But game time decision you know -- to make the trip out west since they are staying out west that would make those tents and state that it is chance to -- following -- All the players -- there there really injured. So I think that's interesting to keep an eye on I think if you keep my papers. He continues to pop up a little bit on the leader board here in play. But we'll see that in injured were these wears them LB another blow. --"

Play from 9:22[9:22]" But bottom line is Rosevelt Colvin back. Junior Seau back thinking."
