Who was found himself in the midst of a verbal battle with his former Baltimore ravens teammate ray Lewis. In the October 22 edition of Sports Illustrated in a feature on the patriots Thomas is quoted as saying about his old team. People there one in the limelight people sought out the line like starting with the head coach it was a star studded system. Here it's about as different as you can get everybody here shies away from being the star guy. Nobody on this team beat his chest they all just go about their business and win. On Tuesday Lewis responded to those comments on his Baltimore area radio show."

[6:24]" On Wednesday Thomas hinted at being misquoted by SI and was taken aback by -- was his response."

[6:53]" What Thomas most wanted to get across on Wednesday is that the gist of his Sports Illustrated comment is simply that. Fewer New England it's different than what he experienced in Baltimore now one point Wednesday he did say he loves ray Lewis like a brother but clearly Christina he was upset at the way this war of words is -- annual seems like ray Lewis took. [7:46]" Well I get the sense that he definitely had some and he wanted to get out there today he doesn't always speak during the weekend you know he he's very well spoken and when he does he usually has some pretty good comments but I I found that if you want to make it clear that. There were some not comments that were misconstrued for the first you know initially in Sports Illustrated but he wasn't happy with what."

To your defense and what we're probably -- is -- guy like Santonio Thomas is off the roster it's almost like making a trade in the middle of the season at a guy like Richard -- huge addition to activate those comebacks in his absence has had alot basically do with the struggling a decent -- and the defense it has been behind these last couple weeks as we talked about especially yesterday the tackling has been an issue wasn't the best performance by the defensive line on Sunday against Miami so I I think you'd have a big impact as well for the linebackers in another important factor is just. Some fresh legs anywhere during -- stretch there on the bye week for another couple weeks to get fresh set of legs he still young guy in there would be."
