Play from 0:11[0:11]" Coming up woods -- his patriots today. Brian Lowe is an Indianapolis to bring the 2008 -- ninety. Still have all the latest patriots news and reaction from around the NF them. Welcome to Toyota's patriots today. Brought to you guys at Toyota tundra."

Play from 0:34[0:34]" Hi everybody welcome to -- patriots today I'm Christina -- the NFL scouting -- mine is -- designed to highlight the college players entering the draft but this past weekend there was a hole one more to the event and just that. Brian -- with -- Indiana has the latest in all the talk at Columbine surrounding the patriots."

Play from 0:55[0:55]" NFL draft is still about two months away but NFL free agency begins later this week. And one -- came up frequently here at the Columbine. Patriots unrestricted free agent I thought -- annual. You know look at his numbers last year's rookie campaign -- asked him if -- asked if Chatman if something's."

Play from 1:17[1:17]" The free agency and franchise tag team has played out perfectly food for the hide your veteran. The patriots' game with a franchise designation year ago. -- game that one infected -- if you've exceeded certain performance marks in 2007. They feel the ball to -- who will hit the open market after an all pro campaign. Hope that's. Interceptions the last few seasons his agent Alonso sabres sit at the -- by the that the relationship between the quarterback the patriots remained strong."

Play from 1:46[1:46]" We've never eliminate its users the opportunity. I don't think it's it's forwarded me you know when it comes -- and decision making process back on that's things heated nasty as the closer you know. I don't think where the situation where. -- anything one way or the other I think everybody. -- I think everybody's happy. There's no real teaches you know. New England and out of -- pitches moving with us and we just kind of the message forwarded me you know and I wouldn't spend five days and see how things you know -- out."

Play from 2:25[2:25]" We'll come up with several national. -- be a -- here at the top line for their perspective understand your situation and one in particular was definitive in that spot. On whether or not -- we'll we'll be back in New England."

Play from 2:38[2:38]" As far as you're concerned you feel like you he's -- and so you know hopefully over the patriots -- market street corner. Ten or eleven million bucks an -- thing. My thought is that from the NFL the only way you pace. Plus the amount of money like that is if he's a really good all around you know physical cover corner. There's there's no way -- it's not."

Play from 3:05[3:05]" Whatever the exact figure becomes Samuel don't get paid his former defensive coordinator. Cleveland Browns head coach Romeo -- knows he'll be one of the top three Yankees this year. He would've been one of their -- pleasure but the we're gonna and so on he's still quicker corners you know and he knows this and anybody else goes through this carefully vote. The other high profile. If RBI walks. After record breaking pro bowl season his first in New England we'll Boston part of the team's effort to duplicate his offensive output."

Play from 3:46[3:46]" And understanding is that fielding. That they're better off everything and they are without -- three touchdowns. Chances I think which would tell you that got to understand it -- Tom Brady is part of that factor in how he feels about. Randy -- it. Guys value part of the process and obviously has gone a long way to helping -- Tom Brady was due -- opposite bounced them. Free agency begins on Friday at midnight we -- the latest on both -- and Samuel coming up Bryant Vanessa Bryant has more from the confines."

Play from 4:25[4:25]" Toulouse beat Cuba there. Pat on the back. The 2008 motor trend truck of the year. The drugs. Changing at all."

Play from 4:43[4:43]" Welcome back to Toyota's patriots today on his way to Indianapolis nick his stereo with a wide receiver coach for the patriots it has become I got underway. He became the new director of player personnel. Brian -- kind of look at -- had to come by who publicly address his new position for the very first time."

Play from 5:01[5:01]" What role does a player personnel executive play -- call. Relief from the this is my first introduction to a lot of these players but I think most personnel directors and general. They're here observing in evaluating and really your focuses specifically on. The college players so as this player personnel director so you'll have some overlap in the collagen in the professional bowlers while creating those those types of things. So written this week the emphasis is really getting to know what college players as best you can and for my -- you know I'm a little bit -- curve relative to some others but you know. It appears -- given set in yet what that he its positions are in the draft this year. I don't personally from what I've heard though there have been some commentary about the offensive line specifically some office of apples. So long that's one position and it's you know this kind of this come upon continual basis we -- yet so far. As you approach the offseason is there change in your approach when you have such high pitch and the patriots are not an organization that's a constant having such high tech. Does that change the outlook that you have a draft in on the -- all right realistic the last -- where we you're sort of this level -- You know back in 2000 one so. Really you're trying to find you're trying to find football players that can help your team. Whoever that point -- though. That's why just ethical and extra you make you know players the earliest possible because -- obviously it's a big investment especially if that. Now franchise tag -- designations have come and gone that deadline. The start of free agencies coming up is there waiting characterize this week class and general out -- will be yeah I'd say that you know like like every year there's there's some players that are and some positions in my field but the others all obvious that -- deal with guys. That have played 456 years and have played -- certain level so you just have to make sure that. That player whatever you. You're evaluating properly they're they're still playing at that level then you know there's an -- there's so on you know I think. From my perspective even having gotten so late. At least I kind of have a background on some of these players adding value in the past few years so it's been that -- It's good to have you know whether it Columbine create a franchise that coming so quick. After the way this season -- that yeah I think really what you have to do is you sort of have to put last season behind -- I mean obviously there's a lot of excitement. The team enjoyed a lot of success but. Each year is its own separate it its own separate year you know really everybody does things -- stays right now -- to be in their own hero and worth the same stages just about every other team in the league so. You know I think whenever your season and he sort of evaluated take sort inventory of what went on and then you move forward. Because you're really trying to get ready for for the next season really affordable. I did before this changing your role -- you worked on a personal on the personal side before what do you like that with what would you like their head coaching position a working person I think. They're different and I think there's entry -- than from my perspective on this. I feel fortunate to be given the opportunity you know by bill's done by this organization. To sort of -- bowl and number different areas so you know my philosophy is whatever I can do to help the organization team and that's not going to do bonds and tried to to work as hard as possibly and wanted to -- seventh pick in the draft will be back. To be continued to be content perfect answer I didn't serve much much appreciate great thanks."

Play from 8:27[8:27]" Brian Lowe is that from Indianapolis and joining me in the studio now you're the first is it now in this area. His role has kind of if not only sixteen but change focus as well -- from looking just one position. To basically every manager and the outcome by."

Play from 8:40[8:40]" Yeah he's a real interesting guy you know he's still a young guy he's actually -- college teammate with Josh mcdaniels -- in college yet and he's done a lot in this organization for six or seven years before he was wide receivers coach he actually was in the personal department earlier -- some experience dealing with personnel. But it's quite quite a contrast working with a group of five or six players like he does with a wide receivers that now haven't have a sense. Of not only the overall current roster on the team but everyone else in the NFL in the draft. It was a overwhelming form I think this week because. -- so quickly -- the transition -- knowing -- draft -- but I have full -- if you get a -- because -- his background experience in -- what -- the -- most of these coaches -- it's -- I -- these coaches -- in the RCA -- watching the college players -- take -- these -- on -- interviews set -- with every player not every player -- a lot of players -- actually goes -- the player doesn't really know which -- he's about to go sit -- and it's. -- some of his patriots and coaches scout personnel people from each team are reviewing the players. And wanted to -- networking a lot of it is coaches mixing and mingling with. Coaches and -- they've worked with in the past on dealing with their own scouts their own general managers and it's sort of just a time where the entire league. Really does convene in one area and they get a lot done whether it's. Actual business or just to -- we are doing here."

Play from 10:04[10:04]" Yeah well coming up right after this we're going to have more on going to the patriots talk com."

Play from 10:15[10:15]" The ring here on many have tons of theaters this big. The one you want is this big you like them apples available on the -- The -- it's changing you know."

Play from 10:34[10:34]" Welcome back to Toyota's patriots today aging drew rosenhaus to represent both Donte' Stallworth in Jabar Gaffney said he's been talking to the patriots about both players and add this to say about their status. -- more likely that Johnson will become free agents and Jabbar still talking to him about that. Rosenhaus also represents veteran linebacker Zach Thomas who met the patriots last week while this weekend we alarm. That the former dolphin is going to return to his home state of Texas to join the Dallas Cowboys."

Play from 11:05[11:05]" My discussions with the patriots in the saints -- says you guys were pretty he -- right thereby being in. Being in Dallas was just something special for -- It was too enticing for a."

Play from 11:17[11:17]" After twelve seasons with the patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi is close to making a decision on whether or not people making it thirteen. And return in New England for another year. We'll continue to cover Bruschi decision along with the latest on the patriots team. To for all the -- stay with us right here -- patriots dot --"
