Government can't we look inside the club house up for the week. John Brooks baker would look for Wednesday and."

Play from 0:49[0:49]" Oh point six Miami Dolphins this Sunday at dolphins stadium in the 1 O'Clock eastern time kickoff will give the other good stuff out of Colorado the bat web radio at patriots dot com that the email address web radio -- dot com few that time for phone call like at that they point 5 wait 543748 who. That's the number but is -- he suggested just -- moments ago we are kind of locked and loaded today is coming up in ten minutes standard or CBS sports will be joining the schedule the joys at that time and then approximately 25 minutes from now Harvey Greene is the senior Vice President of media relations with the Miami Dolphins. And he has been a frequent contributor in years past on this program whenever it is been -- squished fish week he's been kind enough to come on and give us his viewpoint and you've often been brutally honest. When it comes to his football team that he worked for that being the Miami Dolphins and I think we've got some questions to ask him they like. I come you guys suck -- What's good went on here and -- and I know we had a -- mean it was yesterday ask you know what your -- them. Why the dolphins have fallen so far so fast and and I think that's a great question for Harvey -- and so that outcome appeared about 25 minutes bet you we also have conference calls or later on in the program that we will what you're listening in on the patriots media members visiting with the dolphins head coach cam Cameron and dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor who by the way must also be extremely frustrated over what is transpiring with his football team right now in the course -- time permits a Bill Belichick a little bit later on in the program so we got a full docket a couple of things that I wanted to kind of get off. Run up top here have to do with the fact that you know I heard on him as a half an hour or so ago all --"

Play from 2:47[2:47]" Actually logged on to be able to have to listen to little book program prior to joining boys. And I guess there was an email or some that'd came up two the extent of the it was a little bit too early to to get into to probable talked. And my guess is is that whoever that he mailer was didn't quite get the full context of what we were talking about yesterday yes I was asking for -- pro -- selections. And I guess my impression was that you that it was way too early to -- in talking about probable. Well again full context is required here when we started talking about yesterday because that's when the on line voting portion of the program started. Yesterday and it's perhaps. And I'm just just kind of the on this out here but it's perhaps it because of attitudes like that the patriot players get distant approval voting because you wait until too late before it matters. You know some people actually step up in like vote for the players that they like and keep voting as much as they can't get those votes in early and often as the saying goes. And the reason I brought it -- is number one. The voting online launched on NFL dot com yesterday number two because patriots fans have always. In recent memory at least on -- we've been doing they shall have always basically said how come we don't get any respect when it comes to pull -- voting. Because you don't take the time to do it that's why in a nutshell. And so you know I actually agree would you react way to early disturb them about pro -- six games to a 16 game schedule. And it's kind of nuts but you know given the fact that it's -- six Miami that were playing this week. Okay and given the fact that you know we normally nitpick on -- over the you know little things that we know that really need to be improved with this football team and I spent majority of guys that programming telling you how dominant. This -- team was and certainly could stack up to be in the all time annals of NFL history. What the hell else is there with me here a little -- people you know all. Even if you don't like I just humor me for a couple minutes shall we do we have to really dissect and analyze the -- six Miami Dolphins on Tuesday. Two days after a 21 point win over what was perceived to have been the best team in the NFC. Currently a little slack. A little police that's what we're here for we're here to talk about these kinds of things if you really into the -- in the -- Of trying to you know disseminate how the patriots are going to dissect and analyze the Miami Dolphins themselves. I'm not quite sure that this is your program and nor do I think -- WM progress in your program. I mean we'd do that interview listen they show. For any amount of time at all over this previous six seasons that we've been on the air here patriots dot com radio okay -- you know the we spent a lot of time next thing you know in effect on Thursday is -- my favorite times we have Russell Baxter and from ESPN because that's all we do. We talk about the pluses and minuses we -- the -- the -- you know have been eager to -- in the wise. Of book. Of that not only that the patriots and their opponent that week but we take a look at to select games around the NFL that particular we can do the very same thing of those games. You know dare I say we get into a little bit more depth than you know prediction Thursday -- POW in progress although respect those guys they give their excellence grit and that certainly will equipped to do Beckett pitching these -- about Russell Baxter who lives eats breathes and sleeps football 24 hours today 365 days a year I'd like to have that job. But a lot of people would like to have that job so the point here is that you know we do some things as we say in the intro to this program. And a lot of the fun stuff in the point. Well that's what yesterday was it was some of the fun stuff in between. You certainly have a right not to participate in any. You know email question of the day or whatever it is that I throw out there but you know would be -- little -- All right if you really want the Xs and don't you really need that you know then -- means you send me a note and usage John I really need. I need eat that. Xs and knows I'm crazy big Xs and knows give me you know something that I can chew on before next Sunday. And I'll do my very best to get that you also -- the number of a psychiatrist that you looked -- you know pissed I don't even the guys down the hallway at Gillette and do that all the time. So and just just you know food -- armed VO latest in case you just -- in under the program on terms of the players course the physically and at a unable to perform list after six weeks guys are eligible Kamal blister return to practice if they're healthy. And out of practice earlier today animal or fielded behind Gillette stadium. World wide receiver Chad Jackson and cornerback Eddie Jackson. They both openly your on the PUP so they were present at least for the media portion of practice today that having been said of course now the clock -- started and those guys the patriots have 21 days to make a decision on whether or not to put both of those Jackson's on the active roster. Or on season ending injured reserve. Now Richard Seymour and Troy brown the other players on PUP. We're not present at least for the media portion of practice. Doesn't mean that the -- coming off but they were not present so it rule we're we're led to believe that they're not ready yet. And I mentioned yesterday that there are only 15 of the 32 teams in the NFL who have players on the PUP. And the patriots were only one of three teams in the entire NFL that ahead of more than one player on PUP. And so that's the update on the on the physically unable to perform players and again. Time is going to tell that we will probably no more at least I would imagine by approximately 4 O'Clock eastern time this afternoon when -- First injury report for the dolphins game on Sunday comes out and whether or not either one of those guys are listed and if they're not well again you've got three more weeks to decide. You get up to nine weeks to get three more weeks to decide what you need to do about a player player can stay on the PUP again for up -- nine weeks so. The you've still got plenty of time to decide what to do about Seymour brown for the rest of this year. But that's the current status with the PUP guys since today was the first day back at practice after the of the six week Mark. On also today a practice Sammy Morris and Benjamin Watson along when Mel Mitchell not present for the media access portion. Of the workout and -- thanks to Mike Kris from Boston dot com for that little tidbit more us apparently in the -- espn.com. Well is reporting today if you hadn't seen this that there actually quoting a source that the of the Boston Herald. An original reports I guess we should give original contribution -- the Boston Herald on this one. But -- the deal is is that -- Hurt the bone connecting the sternum to the clavicle in this is according to the Boston Herald. And espn.com which is sort of parenting that today currently he's a lot of pain and he could miss up to a month. That's obviously not very good news for the patriots especially because we're not entirely certain what Laurence Maroney status is now. Mulroney was one of those guys of course. That was out of practice today at least for the media portion for a short while also stand to reason that he could be back to play. And that's what we're waiting to find out so it may be that guy likes anymore could be out for -- two month. Benjamin Watson. Well also with his injured ankle was not a part of the practice earlier today. So we don't know what the official status is what mr. Watson and double figure that'll put but it's on the injury report he is listed later today. -- does that mean we have against. Okay very good at this time."

Play from 11:03[11:03]" I'd like to welcome in I'm sure you're very familiar with a gentleman. And Theodore who calls games on CBS television for the NFL and be paired up with Greg -- this weekend for the patriots playing at the Miami Dolphins Dan thank you so much for taking a couple of minutes of your time -- today. Not a problem glad to do it that. A bomb first and foremost. Are you of the opinion like so many of the people seem to be the cover of the NFL on a full time basis that the patriots are one of the best teams that maybe you've seen in quite some time in the top."

Play from 11:32[11:32]" Yes that's it you know it it started. With the off season they haven't and and knowing the quality of of the people with that they picked up in an awesome Welker and Stallworth Lynn and I. I thought they host -- was where it's clearly. One of the ten best defensive players in the NFL last year and you know you could make an argument maybe he was a top five guy defensively and and -- given additional like that. So yeah I I thought it was an astonishing offseason for the patriots additions to area I'd already really -- roster now. I I think it's too early for a coronation after six games but I think if you. Really follow this -- have followed a for a long time I think you have to realize that there were looking at a football team that they've finished the way they started it is going to be -- that through -- 14 where you talked about. Could this be one of the best teams ever assembled did they have a chance to be either good."

Play from 12:40[12:40]" Dan it's kind of funny you say that only because I asked her fans yesterday what's the one team. In your NFL memory that you remember being as dominant and you could go back -- your childhood days a year earlier adult days and remember those teams that always seemed to be a nemesis in for me. A dominant team was a team like the 79 Steelers. Yeah I think there was. Couple of those so 49ers teams in the late 80s and even in the early 90s and another a lot of fans that could go back as far as like the 62 Green Bay Packers dominant team in your memory."

Play from 13:11[13:11]" All of the 85 bears I think you have to include that group because of that that -- there -- there was just littered with with pro -- great football players Dan -- and Mike singletary -- on on -- they were just they were loaded. Grandstand then. You understand that that's a team we try to forget about -- I understand because not all I all other finished off Europe -- let them by winning a super ball idea that that was that this addition of the patriots the -- it's true. But that and I I think if you were you know if you were going to have five. If you were going to boil it down to your. Discussion point was -- that are around five of the best teams of all time but I think most NFL historians would include the 85 bears there in those top five -- I agree with you you'd you'd pick one of those viewers teams you'd pick one of the 49ers squads from the 80s. You know you'd you'd you'd maybe you have to think about one of the Dallas one of the Palestinians with -- Aikman and Smith that nervous it and and -- the great defenses that they had and that your -- go back grabbed one of the Packers -- you know that the what golf every one in Miami is when you have these discussions you know. And and most people when they have these discussions don't include the other thing. -- dolphins Stephen just since everybody by every over the --"

Play from 14:37[14:37]" I'm going to understand that I mean after all. Nobody I -- unable to do that so why dont we include a team"

Play from 14:44[14:44]" I don't because I article you look at that team there was littered with Hall of Fame football players that you and I guess maybe it was because they work. Crushing on defense they didn't have been the you know even though they had you know the spot economy and they had good -- players that they didn't have anybody over there like but -- sir Laurence Taylor or. A single side I don't know why they don't give included but they they just don't seem to make the cut in reprisal wild."

Play from 15:14[15:14]" While I can understand why that wouldn't I and then I'm guessing because this team. That they currently about there -- six doesn't seem to have well let's put it this way the light at the end of the tunnel. Does not necessarily mean an opening it could be the upcoming freight train."

Play from 15:28[15:28]" The all know it could be it's so this is of football team that that's got a long way to go from appellate standpoint. You know the one thing -- review breakdown on the roster the patriots and and and I can't fight the whole. The old league is the -- if you want to call it a weakness is the urge you talking about this before I came on the uncertainty that the running back position right. It'll -- stay healthy how badly is more certain now -- If you if you looked at every position on this football team defensive backs linebackers do you live. -- damned office supply at wide receiver -- that you really have to get all the way to the running back before you even get. But semi little question Mark. That's their and that's society of -- when you have balanced like that when you when you don't have a war the you have to try to hide that you have to try to put makeup on that hopefully the opposition doesn't buy that man that's what you are really good that it doesn't happen in this day -- very often when you haven't spelt the roster -- the patriots have now."

Play from 16:36[16:36]" Debuted or visiting with us here inside the patriots playbook -- an email yesterday and say well if we're going to lose a guy like -- Sammy Morris for a -- and of Laurence Maroney doesn't come back I mean. Should we go back in and ask Corey Dillon to come out of retirement I'm like well first of all. We don't know yet about -- second of all we do have a guy on the roster named Kevin Faulk and I realize that Faulk. He had 50 yards I think it was last week in the team rushed for a season low 75 what was during the game. But it seemed to me that the game plan wasn't necessarily to stop the ball down the cowboys throats that they did what they wanted to do an opening up the passing game so. The running back spot is a sore spot right now would you advocate going to find out if there's -- up that they can help on what --"

Play from 17:20[17:20]" Yeah all right up at you know again I'm you'd have to build injury status of over everybody and -- you know obviously you don't have to do that if Laurence Maroney can stay healthy. If you figure Lawrence back out on the field it and keep him healthy and no I don't think you gotta go position it lets face it there. -- Tom Brady's comfort zone and been running the shotgun if there was a team in this league that could succeed by not running the football at all that might be the patriots. You know could spread the field go to the shot got to let Tom -- he tied the game I'd you know you could. But -- they won't do that about not I'm not advocating doing that but I think everybody could pull off it would be this --"

Play from 18:05[18:05]" Yeah I would think so I mean the weapons that he has at his disposal of course being the argument that we always get into with fans. Has to do with it who's a better quarterback and it's really not -- you know an argument really could they bulk of unbelievable talent but when you compare. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and now in the years past. We talked about well Manning has different weapons at his disposal that Brady Beverly had. And that obviously he has that and if you see the numbers while they're not only comparable Brady's actually look ahead of Manny can we finally put this who's better argument to rest."

Play from 18:43[18:43]" Thanks -- the subjected to totally subjective sure -- and it you know that your what are you arguing about it you're you're you're arguing whether in 1964 chateau Margo was better -- keep Rothschild three. They're just did -- but you know you're you're you're down to splitting such errors yes you have to you have two quarterbacks. Who are playing the game. At a different level than everybody else and yet you can argue all day long which one's better which one to do this which one to do that I noticed that. Their two quarterbacks that the adult bullets. Because the bullets firm there it is there's certain death and and that's not true. For the vast majority quarterback sort of ever play this game -- most of the quarterbacks to ever play this game -- to rattle them two -- these two is the pay the price at all pay I see them both all the time I'm I'm a Michigan guy and and so obviously I have a soft spot in my heart for Tom -- idea if you -- Payton getting into this offense I have a sneaking suspicion he'll still -- of football. I would think so yeah any vice -- and -- everybody interpret that you regret Tom Brady is capable of running that offence he could go to that line of scrimmage and he could run the whole deal at the life just -- doesn't and let me tell you -- you don't say that about very many other people -- what -- does is really complicated Tom -- could pull off intensely."

Play from 20:21[20:21]" Dan two point questions about the game this weekend number one if you look at the patriots roster and I'm sure you've looked a little film already in some videotape and try to would do Samir homer before the game but. What impresses you the most is there one thing that stands out that you -- you kind of think in while."

Play from 20:40[20:40]" Well it's it's -- distribution of the football indeed it is it is. And you wouldn't know what it means to lock onto a receiver Tom has just reached a point with this offense and and and give judgment -- some credit these two guys are are really operating as it's like once signal unit but it's a way to come works the entire field yes yeah. You got ready Boston red ready -- factor which. You know that it Wes Welker and Donte' Stallworth but after every game should just went by -- his -- broke thank you thank you thank you could just for being there. Because with a double coverage that he's going to -- his -- for everybody -- but I I look at Tom -- as a guy -- just seeing the entire field from sideline to sideline -- just so effortlessly it seems just sifting through his -- in his progression and finding the -- it's -- it's been awhile -- a quarterback as comfortable -- has -- things -- is right now -- and the -- passing game -- it's -- thing of -- that the game -- I didn't get a couple weeks ago where you know there was -- everybody -- well let's just -- You just really considerable you know didn't really is he's he just never ever seems to be rattled uncomfortable or unsure of himself and -- that's a position that's almost you know uncertainty is almost part and parcel playing quarterback -- because of the -- defenses will confuse you and Tom just -- he just seems to be above it."

Play from 22:22[22:22]" Second question on the game on Sunday after the dolphins and as you've been able to put a finger on a major reason why the -- seemed to have burst in south Florida."

Play from 22:32[22:32]" All right ethic I don't exactly what their problem -- they're they're probably felt they have they have a hole and their roster from poor drafting. And poor personnel management that they are paying the price for right now that tell you little spat about the dolphins that is pretty hard to believe. But the Miami Dolphins do not have a single player on their roster. From their 989920020012002 and 2003 draft. Good lord really. They have six consecutive drafts. Where they don't have a single player on their roster from most drafts. In those would be the players. That would be 45 to 30 years old right now there would be pretty you know the backbone of the
