Play from 0:00[0:00]" Good afternoon. They have never won. Well thank excited farther up"

Play from 0:07[0:07]" NFL coach testing it seemed ready 16 times and theoretically equal. There's a we'd like -- name likeness and them a matchup like this heightened sense at all and -- everyone against their best effort."

Play from 0:23[0:23]" and you have to balance that fine line because you do have to give up. The next week as well. And you can't make it like it's the Super Bowl and you've got a week off for 12 weeks off and these starts off season program you know after the games so you you have to get up you have to know other than the other it and how well you're gonna have deployed to that the -- a big game like this but still it's that the regular season game and you gotta keep them prospective."

Play from 0:50[0:50]" From a -- and mentality wasn't -- comfortable role you -- Kind of cheesy in this series and and and out and chased."

Play from 0:58[0:58]" Well I don't think it matters what you would say -- know or bin -- I know one thing getting a little left. Public goes scrutiny -- media scrutiny is pretty good you don't have much in terms the distractions that way but and in terms of trying to prepare whether. You know you've won the last zero they've won the last year it's really all the -- you're looking at this is payment trauma see what that you can come up with to try to counteract that."

Play from 1:28[1:28]" Coach with the changes the pass and they especially on offense does. Divisive matters that a whole new game plan and he has -- to defend these guys."

Play from 1:36[1:36]" Well they're they're doing some things a little bit differently in the passing game especially but the running game and saying men obviously -- their mentality is trying to they've got a few new people and guess who -- special skills but it's it's not all that much different."

Play from 1:54[1:54]" Eastern village to raise you beat them glanced at first over back that you keep him in the championship game that. The manner in which it looked like you sort of inspired your off season acquisitions and and maybe just run --"

Play from 2:06[2:06]" I don't think so either I think everybody tries to improve their team at the end the year we we try to improve our thing and we get some new guys that helped you know they got new guys that helped them so. Not sure what what their thought process well other than than really system permanent thing."

Play from 2:25[2:25]" What kind of look did you have in Tampa Bay defense lost when they -- in the same division"

Play from 2:31[2:31]" not very good luck that we split wear them every year that it that I was there. And he made a lot of big -- lot of big plays is phenomenal for you know at that time men and he and Chris Carter with the -- at the office and they got a lot of bowl then. You know what even when you had him covered he made big plays that was that was probably the frustrating thing."

Play from 2:54[2:54]" We you know the only team in 98 feet --"

Play from 2:57[2:57]" We did beat them in 98 doesn't get it went within one in the regular --"

Play from 3:02[3:02]" Any do you remember anything into the -- moss down again"

Play from 3:06[3:06]" no I remembered -- in a deep ball touchdown in the left corner of the end zone on like at third and that gatorade table we knew the -- the but he you know -- that day we ran the ball we kept away from them in and try to keep away from their offensive and try to limit their chances."

Play from 3:26[3:26]" What is it Hayden Jackson show you heading into the off season last year they make you confident that they can take over the starting job --"

Play from 3:37[3:37]" Well you know they played a lot of football fourth -- the Marlins had played a lot for two years Calvin played down the stretch. When nick harper got hurt Calvin became a nickel back and he actually played most of way in the championship game and played in the Super Bowl and they have practiced all year and and you feel like they're growing in there was. Really no question our mind they were ready that this step in."

Play from 4:01[4:01]" I Jennings easier nickel back."

Play from 4:04[4:04]" Did -- the same type of player of those two guys is that your behind them think he's. Probably where they weren't listed and I got more more since the play very competitive guy not real big -- not as big marlon Kelton but. Very very physical and -- and and we got young guys Daunte views that I think his -- timlin blisters that kind of our way to -- wanted to try to draft those -- what you do and and break commandN and the more they played better than yeah."

Play from 4:36[4:36]" I would -- hardware you to to beat the box obviously your old team but without so many key components will be prevented from the I."

Play from 4:44[4:44]" You know it I think it did help with the told attainment but we grew in in the -- regard and that we were able to win big game with. New guys -- different guys making contributions and that's what good things have to do. And I remember knowing them when they went through this stretch on these in the Troy brown planned on -- they -- losing guys and they just. Came up with a way to win and I think really good can do this."

Play from 5:11[5:11]" How helpful was that we -- from Marvin"

Play from 5:15[5:15]" we don't we'll find out this week we just felt like we weren't going to make any progress that we kept going in the direction we did enough hopefully he'll be ready to run the day and and we'll see how it goes."

Play from 5:26[5:26]" Blues -- Eric glands surprisingly retirement probably wasn't something you planned on -- Didn't."

Play from 5:33[5:33]" Tony is doing well and that the thing about him but it doesn't really get rattled when he makes some mistake or something happened that it that we haven't gone over is that listen and make that adjustment to make corrections -- mid game meant I think he's going to be a very very good player as we go -- it's very athletic and it's and what we do really well."

Play from 5:54[5:54]" What does the patriots outside linebackers. Put pressure on your tackles -- fast rushing your your maximum attendance."

Play from 6:01[6:01]" Well all four vote and that that does the strength of what they do you know they've got some great individual rosters but now they got five actually -- come they can all went on individual rushes you don't know what -- comment you can't say what we've got to block for able going to be fine we've got to block Colvin and he's fine you know they all can come milk and create pressures so it it does stretch -- protection -- be sharpened and on top of -- and then. Not only know who blocked but they'll be able block which is still."

Play from 6:33[6:33]" Tony how much there's -- team embracing the role of underdog in this game."

Play from 6:38[6:38]" Well I don't know that and we embraced the role of favorite or or underdog I think we've been a favorite than and known that doesn't guarantee that you win we've been underdogs in some cases and gauntlet with them once so I think what we are embracing is that that the focuses really on and were able to the go about our business in this and that thing that's been helpful for."

Play from 7:01[7:01]" Seen a lot of superbowl champs recently haven't been sort of take it down turned a year after what's been the key for you guys maintain your focus here. Your record."

Play from 7:11[7:11]" Well we talked about it a little bit after we won the game and then the next couple weeks then we we didn't want to head that downturn that the summit in -- so that was our veteran leadership meant with the players and one think from a guy that's not a Marv -- at the Columbine and I asked him about going back some minutes -- it -- do it and and his that the one thing you got to guard against is trying to do too much you have the sense that. Hey we've got to improve we've got to work harder and because the played a lot of football. And and so you've yet to make sure that there has been -- ago so we -- rest up a little more and -- these are. Offseason program later we tried to go in the training camp lleyton and try to stay as fresh as we couldn't count on the players that the work hard and they've done a good. -- well yet another. A weapon another first -- guys that can. Beit down lineman he can -- you can -- people in the past Russia can drop in the -- an intercept passes so we just gotta give them another interchangeable parts. And policies such a big guy and there you know. Got an athletic linebacker but it is not a small athletic linebacker takes up a lot of space -- and played with power and is that you know added another really good core players."

Play from 8:36[8:36]" Thank you just talk about here the two quarterbacks in this game certainly two of the best. This error."

Play from 8:42[8:42]" I would have to say they are and you know I didn't know much about either either guy when I came over today is the we hadn't played them that much. And it's just been fun for me to work with Payton and see how you prepare then and how -- Pushes himself to be better and him from talking to our guys. That are here from New England Dan Klecko and and Adam. You know they talk about Tom the same way thank you sent to very professional guys the top of their game that. Are in great systems that take advantage of what they can do so does that that the country get to the best of both guys."

Play from 9:20[9:20]" Tony logic says that -- offense is likely to be completely shut down you expecting to have to. Score in the 30s and kind of win a shootout tightening"

Play from 9:32[9:32]" you never know you know we. You know we had a real hot offensively we went in there when you're in the play -- since it was I think they've been disappointed the 620 -- read something like -- and we had trouble getting getting going it. You know I've -- out at Tampa we play the rams one year in two of them. Whatever what 11 and nine -- six to 116. And then the next year we played them at our place than it was 3835 so you never know how those games are going to go and -- you know know both the -- feel like they can slow the other thing down. But that would have to see what happens."

Play from 10:08[10:08]" We've all seen Bob Sanders making plays down the box does does the patriots. Receiving corps in any way can it -- the safeties aggressiveness down there and make him."

Play from 10:19[10:19]" Redick and spread the ball around really well. And they take advantage when -- Brings they did down in the -- effective than -- one throws and then -- can take advantage of that but you have to -- and a -- and play a little guessing game with them yet still a couple of those receivers outside from."

Play from 10:39[10:39]" Tony prior do you guys winning the Super Bowl last year -- been a perception that. Only teams of iron fist coaches could win how gratifying was it to have your style ballot."

Play from 10:50[10:50]" Well I guess felt more gratified that we want more than anything else but everybody had a different perception of what iron fisted mains and thank you want to be discipline that you want to have -- doesn't beat themselves -- and doesn't have penalties in the states that the discipline on an all the field and -- a lot of ways to get -- and I think we're pretty disciplined seeing but it but it looked is nicest people think that there are different ways that you can do it different ways to win -- this pretty good."

Play from 11:22[11:22]" As Dallas Clark. Blossom this year."

Play from 11:25[11:25]" probably got more opportunities he's become very good player he's become a guy who. Understand the whole offense and we can put him in different spots he's always been a tough matchup for people inside but because Marvin you know probable bit maybe moving -- around I think he has gotten more opportunities that its own people what he's really capable."

Play from 11:51[11:51]" Tony there's a perception out there the patriots will take any sort of controversy and we'll use -- to their advantage. -- at all concerned you've given the accusations that have come about to leave them running of the scores."

Play from 12:06[12:06]" Well I think most people tried everybody in the coach and I do you try to take everything that happened and if you can. Kind of tipped it to motivation for your guys are you going to do that I don't think it in terms of this game you know we know how good they -- and and you know when we played there's there all the big games -- usually pretty good game and I don't think. Anything that goes on outside the football field really gonna have that much of fact."

Play from 12:36[12:36]" Conversely and everybody seems in 19 the patriots as the best team in football continued use those to further motivate your your players or. You think they can be motivated."

Play from 12:48[12:48]" Now I think our motivation is to try to keep winning and stay in first place and you know it really doesn't matter it's over and the year -- saying you know we. Beat Pittsburgh on Monday night a couple of years back and put just 11 or 12 though when people were saying well that's they've beaten England would be Pittsburgh here they go and you know we didn't win so it you know. Being anointed. You know not that big -- deal because it's not where like at 7 you're going to play up. Playoff at the end of the year and that's that's where you find out so I think our motivation right now is just how we. Keep improving and and try to get date you know."

Play from 13:31[13:31]" The -- in the locker room. At halftime in the AFC championship game down when he wants to build"

Play from 13:38[13:38]" to a a little frustrated and and animal bit nervous obviously you'd -- don't want this to happen and you'd certainly not going to come back from shifting points down on the team like New England but we felt we could get some things going in the big thing we knew were given the ball to start the second half I think that was big and that's what we talked about that if we could get a score. At all that's of 11 score game and that's the way we had to look at look at it like one score game not the fact we're down that -- but other little bit of frustration that this you know we hadn't played well."

Play from 14:13[14:13]" What do the patriots been doing on their opening drives"

Play from 14:17[14:17]" nothing more than that what they do on on other -- I think when you just have good talent to crew like that a lot of times it takes the deep and so little time to really realize the rhythm of how quick they are going into how sharp they aren't they had they don't beat themselves that don't make many mistakes so you've got to stop them men you know not not many well nobody's but it looked to stop them before scored yet."

Play from 14:43[14:43]" are good but the quarterbacks. I was in Brady's numbers are far ahead of anything he's done before you see anything different on him other than just a production weren't what they can have so much corporate division"

Play from 14:53[14:53]" I think it's accommodate that thing with the style that they're playing I don't know if it's because Watson -- or what but they've gone to a lot more three wide and they've got some guys who are. You know making big plays he'd thrown the ball very accurately but the big thing out there has been the offensive linemen and the protection they've given them look like -- with confidence and not many misses so when you don't miss much and you don't get penalized you're gonna move the ball and score and that's what they're doing."

Play from 15:24[15:24]" Is Gonzales in any way comparable to Welker."

Play from 15:29[15:29]" Similar some are probably similar style and and that's our hope that you know -- have to develop them -- them Walker's been in the league and really operated out of laden has great field for -- against me going going to have the same thing and I think our -- for him -- probably. Doing my thing -- and four for walker when they got in."

Play from 15:51[15:51]" you spoken of those game Carolina about the surface to come and you've been in a lot of games like. Like that that in some ways is this understandable given the historic undefeated match up and obviously the history between those two clubs."

Play from 16:05[16:05]" Well I think a lot of people don't want to see this game and this ploy and that that's a tribute to both saying some did not think we both should be product the fact that were maybe make it into more than what it is you know that that's the fun part of the league but that's -- tickets that would be it gets people -- the game so I think you have to take it -- going with the territory and when you get into one of many games with the Tutsis have over the last five years. Yes definitely people don't want."

Play from 16:37[16:37]" You what you guys to embrace that the big moments in the big stage or do you want to put you try to convince them that it's just. You know regular again."

Play from 16:45[16:45]" Well I think which you have to convince them is you gotta try to block out everything around that this going on in it is going to be a big game and that's going to be a very intense game in the 60 minutes on Sunday -- determine it and that's which yet the focus on. And if you can keep your focus on that while we're going through this week then you're gonna happen but it's one."

Play from 17:07[17:07]" As a player did you play -- regular season game that maybe not this much hype that. Anyone that stands out for you."

Play from 17:14[17:14]" I don't know if we're quite played and one would. This much hype when I was in Pittsburg and you know whatever we played Dallas it was using the Super Bowl rematch type of thing or we've played the raiders. But but nothing I guess visit so much more media now it's this way more coverage than than ever was at that time."

Play from 17:37[17:37]" It's always a site you used the analogy of Ali Frazier for the game I was pretty good what what I'm wondering just which which team is Ali and which team is Frazier."

Play from 17:49[17:49]" Well I think we're Fraser I think where the young young up and coming team against. Tampa that is really you know set the bar and and that's the guy everybody looked dead and and you know so we've we've got to do a little more would probably got try to win by knockout."

Play from 18:09[18:09]" Tony is it legitimate to put this rivalry which I think everyone would agree is the best the end I was off over the last five years. Alongside some of those rivalries you mentioned Steelers raiders Steelers cowboys another one that comes to mind in the 70s and 80s."
