I don't know yet and -- so I I had put together -- good -- it didn't happen. Here. Comments here before I got into the final so you know it was it was getting colder so his decision. I expect no no no way -- big appearances that today but -- I would open and I think this club."

Play from 2:37[2:37]" It happens. Perfect time that it was good side our what you get kinda let him go and you've definitely got an hour. Weeks. We will -- Without. Did -- do you think they'll. Play from 3:47[3:47]" Okay Jimmy I would hitters had a harder you know it toward the end of my career probably around Maine being you know -- had -- Talk to guys and -- Guidance and you know updated me I think I stated you know. It is it really is a rare opportunity now the -- how good you are individuals that are just. So -- made it definitely is a badge of honor. Career or personal you know -- I don't know coordinated -- Cold War what at all. It was frustrating at times and I. You know yeah. Yeah look what it would then go to -- I had control overhaul I had control of our allies. I've prepared -- I've ventured into the game. You know are frustrated because you know with the column you know -- a little bit -- of -- I kind of groove in the league where. That you saw. Big play dead you know -- early -- you know you always get traded to you know Green -- great it was all it was an early age. There and look what happened to those guys did. And so it was that bad yeah. National Football League that. Franchise golden Eagles I think. -- leaving him back on track. Just a prime example of that you know we work from the Dallas ousted the and did you -- political saw him go to this deficit. And and hit him. Ask Eric yeah I figure -- look at -- what you're retired from NFL. You know. He hit -- starts commentary you -- you know that it's here here entire eligibility. Didn't sort of those soldiers are it's big small pro games it's cold Bolton. Criteria is is that -- you know what you're part of me 300 sort of names are being considered for the hall of a bit. That happens. They all -- you -- it. Did it it's like I'll I didn't realize that I make a lot of guys don't realize is that not something that's -- total -- you don't want to play so great that. Just -- I'll end up and all -- I think what you try to do is emulate the great guys that played a game that the great ones. Out of players at levels that they've played. It simulates as big as this and you know -- us what you do what I do standpoint and that's all I could do. And and -- you can always set the standard that is standard and it just got also you know by what everybody else I was."

Play from 7:30[7:30]" Air under it is any coach pretty good people or you know should just bumped. Arms. We're clear we're good every morning I was doing very well documented. But I was wondering did you play beautiful sort of and you Bergkamp and if you did -- things that you -- that your."

Play from 7:49[7:49]" Oh yeah those guys get opportunities plagued you -- balls all morning it is that I played below. My my first here and and I school and actually you know I got my freshman year so really what did get my point here icicle. There was something that. You know I still haven't looked bad lessons that I learned football besides that it Terry. By my my my career has worked in the front office and -- when I have the opportunity to -- because you. You know people Ontario or wherever. But you know you talk about discipline here get all the time leadership. Perseverance all of those things -- today that I learned you've got a high school level -- you know being important. Your -- Don't look into it being too you know on the right track again and -- didn't think that I didn't do. The good person and as well get a good football just. Ballplayers so. The lesson from. From high school and I great high school coaches do you who instilled all of that. -- values. We're not a lot of the other day it was livable would be. You know it -- clear -- disciplined player. And the players their respective teammates and contributed to -- Yeah right yeah. Student but starter record they had no credit they like -- I I I have supplement called. Good courses I get nervous. I -- something and you know it I've just. Want to make sure that I I sort of convince the people that really helped me well -- college pro and the friendships that I."

Play from 9:38[9:38]" The Davidson. Together a solid that I had throughout my my my my athletic career. That's going to be important to be done and it's. Bench everyday -- back then yeah there was some people there was solving. There was little hotter than I had I was surprised -- be part of back -- high schools versus Iowa. The Patriots that the -- so clear that. Specifics assistant coaches hell yeah that was so many people. The -- don't distract me insuring your race is cool cool but it also so. But yeah I I have been and I don't look at it a lot and -- I think we all -- nervous about it but to be just like my last couple. Coming -- the that you're okay. Playing yeah."

Play from 10:34[10:34]" Contender -- more guys. -- it."

Play from 10:37[10:37]" They -- you're living under a little more -- Covered question. -- driving force that important that you are going to be ecstatic that everything having. In India Indians or expect. Bernard today that would go over there. Well you know I'd -- being dead and -- reason. That didn't go all -- and they're terrible. All had somebody. Yeah. Look at the guy that there's been prepared better. Bring home borderline."

Play from 11:17[11:17]" Okay president and yeah."

Play from 11:25[11:25]" You know yeah. He had Barrett have been here you know given day of negativity. Here that are okay. You know -- did it didn't all the same vessel was inevitable or scholastic work. -- open doors we'll. Considered it -- you know guys where that it can't help it had. Water doesn't know what's good about it doesn't -- sort of record the only real well. It was just scored just it. It is great -- they would get you'll agree some what they've done what are running style they've -- Nadal won't allow it definitely does. So I think that it. What he stated how he played and we all wanted to play -- I think that he did not think I don't meaning. Slowly came through I. Baghdad said fielder who would go do. Quake hit I would completely. Tightly in strong fact. -- do a little bit more -- beyond that aside from those so -- that I don't look at it and tagged hard. -- It's. Things happen for a manager and then. Business."

Play from 12:37[12:37]" It's gonna be amazing athlete and good respectful are -- I think that what at all. I don't think it just goes down. Are still it was a great more egregious as hundreds it was one of the great -- sort of agreed so. It really doesn't it has grown same place. We're here to look at. What kind of -- recollection of the pro football all of them. Deflating to have him take six that you would want conceivable put the other Hall of Fame game. And a better recently we took our rookies this year. I was. It's pretty much the second time I've been good competitive but it's six to sit down place is updated me. Then we will be -- talk at all. History have you had your history a history of -- people -- you you have to respect as she walked through that play. See how this game the evolution of just at odds change then. It's -- there really truly is a great place. And I totally displaced look all -- the bastards -- recently just received my objective comfortable way what Vanessa you know. Masses jagr. Of course a lot of -- did. But -- priceless and big. Going to the Hall of Fame is the village that -- it's priceless. I'm just honored to be part of this whole. Point aren't going."

Play from 14:18[14:18]" All right -- thank -- Andre and and look at Beltran and."

Andre Tippett Conference Call - 7/15/2008

Andre Tippett, member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2008 addresses the media during his conference call on July 15, 2008. Q: I know you were very emotional when you got the news of becoming a member of the Hall of Fame. How victorious was that feeling compared to the feeling of winning football games? ANDRE TIPPETT: It's probably a little bit greater, but on the same path of winning that major game, that game that gets you to the next level. It was overwhelming. I didn't think it would happen like that, but after I got the word and right then, one of the reporters wanted to talk about it, and it hit me all at once, and, wow, I'm glad it happened now versus August 2. Q: When you think of how elite the group of Hall of Famers is and how your name is now among the greatest linebackers to ever play the game, that name, Andre Tippett is alongside those names; what a sense of fulfillment you must have. ANDRE TIPPETT: I do. And you know, it's funny, you see the list and you pretty much have grown up watching a lot of those guys that are on that list play, some that I considered my contemporaries. So it is awesome and it's a very exclusive list, and I am proud to be part of that list. Q: That day in Phoenix, did you know that you were going to be inducted? Did you think you had a good chance or was it a complete shock to you? ANDRE TIPPETT: Well, you know, nothing's ever promised and you know, I kind of went into it, I did the media room a few days before and ran into a few guys and everybody said: "You know what, you've got a 50/50 chance" or "you've got my vote," or some people, "well, you know, I don't know yet." So I took the attitude that, you know what, if it happens this year, I'm excited. If it doesn't, then next year. The year before, I had gotten to the final and so it was getting closer. To say that I expected it; no, no way I could sit up here and say that today. But I was hoping, and I have my fingers crossed, ...
