But he also made it pretty clear that the Patriots did not do that. But the Patriots are going to run there what they want it to get done in the game regardless. Of what the Buccaneers were showing in terms of lit things like that. Now here's my -- Last week most of the camp including the Buccaneers were still open and he went ago. I'm sure the Patriots like other teams have people looking at other team's practice see what that working on. And maybe the word got out. That the Buccaneers were going to really run a real -- heavy. Game against the Patriot okay knowing that. And knowing maybe Brady's not a 100%. In knowing that you're still working on trying to you know get that -- line healthy. In that the guys out there aren't necessarily the guy's going to be starting the season with. Maybe you don't -- Tom Brady in a game like that. With a team that actually -- for you it is going to run a lot of -- maybe you don't put Tom Brady who really you need September 7. In not now maybe you don't risk given a game like that. Just just speculation. On just get -- that might have factored in to why Tom Brady didn't make the trip. And if that's the case might have also factored into why that game look oh god awful. On the side of the Patriots. You know where Cassell -- O'Connell were running for their lives at times because. The Buccaneers -- let you know and it didn't look like. You know usually with the exception of that game we won't mention last year usually the pictures are really good. When it comes time to pick up the split -- like third down or any time the team. You know sends more. Usually the Patriots are ready for that but run a green the dumps a thing out who were running back you -- a quick one over the heads of the on rushing linebackers something that usually they can deal with those types of mismatches in terms of numbers. But it didn't seem like they had any clue what to do on Sunday and I think a lot of that had to do with the Patriots. You know really not taking into consideration. What the Bucs were doing defensively and deciding which is going to run what they're going to run. And you know if you want to call that game planning fine but I think that the Buccaneers. More or less. As far as you can't -- pre season game game plan a little bit more than the page it for that game and I think that's why you know we saw. You know the kind of imbalance in the in the performance now. Having said that I think that it kind that might be a little bit of an excuse for the Patriots offense. It certainly is not excuse for the -- the other pay the -- I think took a step back from week one. In you know in the game when the starters were in there I think the Patriots really."

You know we're talking you know ATP and the starters were there and you know they really didn't look good. Against the Buccaneers team which they didn't have this starting quarterback either I mean. You know -- he was you know could end up being the start of the year -- What -- What's what's the starting quarterback for the -- that forget you know car media Garcia was that not playing that game so they were playing with their back up. And the -- didn't look good on the defense side of the ball so. You know might my theory about the game planning and in keeping Brady out that doesn't hold water when you come in -- talk about the -- even -- that something that the -- is -- shore up. I of Vrabel this to tackle. On that first drive. That he usually does in this one was in the back field. In one would it would stop the play for. You know one or two yards. I'm I'm counting that up from. -- that up -- the fact that this is where I'm relieved that he's a little rough. But what was happening there is the Buccaneers were getting so much for a second down that by the time they get the third down. You know third 13 two very easily converted plays. And that's why the -- couldn't get off the field is because their base defense was incumbent throw. Is that just going to have to shore that up this week this being the third game coming up against the Eagles Friday night. I'm sure the starters will play. If not for all of the first half promote the first half. We'll get a little better indication of what you know what kind of progress they've made all week but it is it is something a concern. Brandon meriwether. Limped off the field. We don't know status of him up but that would be you know somewhat of a lot you know like junior player. Really looked at camp like he stepped things up in a lot more confident a lot what -- where we'll be in the field. That showed in the first pre season game I thought. He was around the ball. -- and pretty hard hit and at this point seen him hurt let's hope that it's not something that's going to drag on like hamstring something like that. Let's hope that it -- that he'll be able come back from in short order but. We were all saying on the first drive there were no -- packages. Well they never pretty much that they pretty much kept the entire -- into that whole drive. So it's not like they were trying to schemer game plan for anything they were just content to just sort of let play out almost a no I think I can sort of play devil's devil's advocate as the saying maybe they just wanted to. You know give their starters. The game experience of getting in for a quarter whatever and not really overdo it but it still concerning when you see another team that's not really decorated team running the ball down their throat thrown it well. You know it is obviously this Friday will be a bigger test regardless of whether Brady plays or not. As the third pre season games always like that so. Does this happen -- they lost the first two pre season games the third when Carolina and it looked like they really were there to play they they came out they scored early Maroney ran the ball well Brady was throwing well. They had a good performance and you know it didn't really matter what happened in the previous two games so you know if they come out against Philly this Friday looking like they did last week against Tampa going to really be concerned. It. No I was actually when when they did Ron especially early -- looked good. Yeah he did there there was one play where he actually gained about ten or eleven and we thought if it cut to the right. He would -- gotten even more and we thought well you know we're nitpicking here now but he actually looked the -- if he wasn't dancing around. That's different from the regular season when they look at a team's strengths and weaknesses they try to run plays that are geared towards taking advantage of the weaknesses in avoiding the strengths that the other team. In pre season he says we don't really care about that we care about executing our plays that we want to."
